I had a 100/10 service appointment today with Chris Pryor and the service department at Lindsay Lexus.Iβm from MN and use the Lexus of Maplewood there. It is nice coming to a different state and feeling that I matter as a customer. I want to recognize Chris Pryor for his above and beyond service. Itβs the people who really make you feel special not only the cars, thank you Chris for providing the top Lexus service.All can learn from his example π―π―π―Thank you!!!
While I appreciate being able to schedule service appointments online, the process would be greatly improved with more clear guidelines for setting expectations.The last time I was in for service I received a loaner with no issues, whereas this time I was sent over to Hertz. Apparently booking a rental car appointment is different than a loaner, despite having no option to select a loaner when scheduling online. Ive had good experiences with Hertz at DCA, but the vehicles at this location were all dirty, economy class vehicles and a significant value factor for getting anything done at the dealership is the ability to get a loaner relatively comparable to your own vehicle.Thankfully, Gaby was understanding and did manage to get me into a loaner, despite limited availability. Granted, there were plenty of loaners on the lot, so Im not sure if they were limited in the sense that there were technically appointments reserving them or what? Either way, if I had known booking a rental appointment was distinct from booking a loaner appointment, I would have proceeded accordingly.Ultimately, it all worked out and I was thankful for Gaby making the effort to resolve my issues.My overall feedback would be to aim for more clear guidance on navigating the service process from start to finish to ensure clients have appropriate expectations and in turn, setting up service advisors for success by avoiding confusion stemming from the website and scheduling platform.
Iβm driving a corporate vehicle scheduled to depart on a long drive to NY and needed the vehicle serviced and ready.. called 5 days in advance and 4 days in advance.. I called twice to confirm date, loaner, maintenance package, and if payment was required. And I felt confident that I did my part.. only to find out on the day Iβm there that the company car Iβm driving doesnβt have a maintenance package.. (even though I called twice and asked about that exact topic).. and I asked in order to ensure that if payment was needed that I get the form submitted for approval through the office..Lexus of Alexandria Management needs to understand that our vehicles are tied to our lives and a simple lazy mistake like this can cost us so much time, effort, and money.. this was scheduled 5 days prior.. now I donβt have time to schedule at any Lexus dealer for service, and a rental car will have to be used because the person who picked up my call didnβt bother to actually confirm my questionsBe careful when dealing with their younger staff..when an employee doesnβt take an extra step to confirm everything about your service appointment and simply gives you their trained generic response to get you scheduled for service.. it could end up costing you more than they even care to understand..Buying a reliable car goes hand in hand with buying into a reliable service department that takes that extra step.. otherwise why go with a luxury brand
Brought vehicle in for servicing, it is a late model 450H that is out of warranty. That didnt matter to Mr. Nguyen and the fine service staff at Lindsay Lexus Service Center. You would have thought I owned a brand new Lexus. The customer service was top notch and the servicing was only what was needed. Much appreciated. I have choices for servicing and for the time being I will continue to have the car maintained by Lindsay Lexus. Thank you Mr. Nguyen!
I have been on the receiving end of great service from Tammy Simone of Lindsay Lexus Service Center for over 15 years. Tammy is always professional and courteous, and very responsive. While Lindsay Lexus is not a place where I can get my vehicle serviced/repaired with lower cost options, I feel comfortable to go to Tammy and trust that I can count on her advice and quality service from the shop.
This is based on my Lindsay Lexus Service Dept. experience n Alexandria, VA. Which led me to contact the Lexus U.S. headquarters in Plano, TX and file a complaint of their service dept. I received Lexus service on Sept 16 for basic oil change and diagnostic check. After picking up my RX 350 and taking it home, I noticed damage on my glove box and dash. The glove box had a big dent which appears as an inserted tool and the dash was scraped with a knife. This mustve been a misstep by a Lexus service technician when they performed my service. I called the Lexus Service Dept. and communicated with their service manager Dennis Burrell. After numerous attempts to get this resolved by the Lexus Service Dept. taking responsibility of the damage, the manager Dennis ignored all requests for a solution. An upper echelon vehicle manufacturer like Lexus, you would guess the service would run in line with the quality of vehicle. Not only will I never purchase another Lexus again, I ask you to re-consider doing any business with Lindsay Lexus and their service dept. The way they mishandled a simple customer complaint goes a long way, and I need to convey their issues.
Kudos goes out to my service personnel name Fred. He did an outstanding job! We needed to replace our company tire on our company car and he was very helpful. I love Lindsay!

Fred is by far the best service advisor. Every time I come stop by, whether itβs for routine maintenance or just needing a second opinion, he has always made me feel welcomed at Lindsay Lexus Service Center. Fred has always greeted me with a smile and has always made me feel welcomed. He is very professional and communicative. The service center experience truly is a luxury. I have been to another local/independent shop, just to test the waters, but it just isnβt the same.

Very reasonable and helpful. I brought my vehicle in after receiving a notification under the Customer Support Program that it had potential AC servo motor electrical malfunctions. Fortunately, David and his colleagues were able to confirm everything was in order promptly and I made it to another appointment on time.
Once again the staff in service went above and beyond after two company vehicles got sidelined. They even picked them up from a different dealer for me that the towing company took there accidentally. Ski My service advisor even picks his phone up for me on his day off. Had it washed and ready. Service with a smile.

If you bring your vehicle in for repair itβs in your best interest to utilize the loaner vehicle and not the HERTZ rental. Hertz has the worst customer service. They are not professional. Cory the service rep is very disrespectful and doesnβt explain anything to customers instead he will provide you with a off site managers number that will not assist in resolving any issues instead will side with Cory because the manager isnβt present. I hope in the future Lexus can provide a different service other than Hertz

A few years ago I took my car her for a repair and the service advisor lied to me and told me I needed to replace a different part on my car that was in bad shape. I had recently had that part replaced and caught them in a lie. I decided not to return because of their dishonesty. It was my last straw with them because I had other annoyances with them previously. In a pinch, I decided to go back this month. I requested a new service advisor and she failed to keep me up to speed on the status of my car. I returned to the shop before closing to find out they planned to keep my car. Not professional at all. I should have been contacted when they realized they didnt have the part. They decided on a Friday to keep my car without even telling me. The advisor said she was going to call me when she wrapped up the day. I was supposed to get my car back on Monday. I received a text that it wouldnt be until Tuesday. No call or text on Tuesday so I left Tammy a message. No return call. Called back and another person told me the car wont be ready until Wednesday. Absolutely ridiculous. Ive concluded this place will always be awful for various reasons.

I called to have my car fixed for an urgent recall. They said they will order the part and call me when it arrives. I called weekly for a status update, and they said the part is on its way. Nearly a month later of no one calling me, I called Lexus HQ directly about this, and there I find out that this service center never ordered the part. I dont understand why they lied to me that they ordered the part. Dont waste peoples time. I waited nearly a month for a part that was never ordered. Very unprofessional!

The reason i but three stars because of the rental car and the this the second time i got rental car is really dirty. When i bring my car for maintenance they should give me the same and should be clean specially in this time not i have to clean it to use it until my car is done. They should look over this.
Made an appointment to get a tire changed since it was flat. Waited over an hour and a half for them to tell me that they didnt have the tire in stock. Then I get a rental, that was a chevy and it smelled like smoke. Such a frustrating experience, dont think Ill make it back to here. The people are incredibly friendly, so that is nice.Edit: They changed the tire and delivered my car to me. The fact they were willing to correct their mistake so quickly and then deliver the car makes me change their rating.
Two poor experiences at Lindsay Lexus Service Centers in one month.1) When I asked if Lexus can perform the safety inspection for free like my past when I drove a Toyota, they responded with Not Toyota. This was not only rude in my perspective, but not the service I expect from Lexus (Toyota Motor Sales).2) When I took my car in for a recall repair, I waited for 40 minutes before I could get a loaner. I was expecting to get a ES or other newer Lexus products to try out as a loaner, but instead they gave us a GMC Terrain from Hertz. The customer rep had a attitude when he said, no more ES, thats why you are being setup with Hertz. When I walked out the door, I saw a row of Lexus ES/UX/RX loaners parked just outside next to the GMC. We will definitely take our services else where next time.

Unbelievable came here for the simple fix reprogram my TPMS sensors the lady over the phone said you can come in and theyβll reprogram it for you for free but when I pulled in the shop itβs just so amazing how they trying to find any excuses to charge you unbelievable froSimple problem they made it look so complicated take all the wheels to reprogram ! I went to my guy he did it in 5 minutes and charge me 40$ great Lexus very disappointing:(

I recently went to the Lexus of Alexandria service center for my 5K mile maintenance under the warranty. The service representative assigned to me was James Woods, as he had previously been assigned to a tire-patch job on my vehicle.After handing over my keys, I was directed to the desk of Mr. Woods to go over the reason for my visit. I let him know that I was there for my 5K mile maintenance, and wanted to confirm that it would be covered under the cars warranty, since the vehicle is still under 10K miles. Mr. Woods pulled up my account on his computer and asked the current mileage on the car, which was 9,761. he said that the inspection would not be covered under the warranty and that there would be a charge for the oil change. When I asked why he stated that I had already used my one-time complimentary maintenance inspection under the warranty, referencing the one I had done 5K miles ago at the Lexus of Chantilly.I explained that it was my understanding that any maintenance under 10K miles was covered under the warranty and that maintenance was recommended every 5K miles. I let him know that my maintenance light was on, and that the car was nearing the mileage on the reminder sticker for the next service. At this, Mr. Woods changed his tune, and informed me that this was untrue, and that the car needed to be serviced only every 10K miles. When I insisted that I would like to have the car looked at today he said that I would be doing myself a disservice, and that the oil in my car could last another 4K miles. He said it was too soon to have the car serviced, and again stressed that it was every 10K, not 5K miles.He said there wasnt anything he could do for me and that I should come back after 4K miles. I asked if the next maintenance would be covered under warranty a that time. He said it would not. As he escorted me out he reiterated, Just remember, ever 10 thousand miles. He asked a technician to reset my maintenance light and sent me on my way.When I returned to my car the whole thing didnt sit right with me, and I was worried about the vehicle. I gave the Lexus and Chantilly a call and explained what had just happened. The service representative on the phone was astounded that Mr. Woods has suggested such a thing. She confirmed that Lexus advises the car should be serviced every 5K miles and that all maintenance under 10K miles would be covered under the warranty. Although I did not have an appointment at the Chantilly location that day she advised that I come in right away and they would take care of everything.When I arrived I was greeted pleasantry and they were able to perform my routine service and oil change.The only reason I can think of why Mr. james Woods would jeopardize the safety of myself and my vehicle with his advice is that he did not want to waste his time with a non-lucrative routine service. When he realized that I wasnt buying into the idea that I would be paying for the oil change he knowingly gave me wrong information that the car needed to be serviced every 10K miles and not any sooner. This would ensure that when I came back to have the car worked on I would need to pay for all the services involved in the maintenance inspection and he would be able to make a sale off of me.
Poor customer service and lack of attention to detail.I had my car serviced there a few weeks ago. The staff failed to acknowledge that they had an option for pick up. My son had to tell me this after and we had to call back for that option.They also lied about getting washing our car and never did it. Even worst, there was a nail in the tire after they brought the car back.Dont recommend them.

Wonderful experience! I was told that my initial service would take two hours. I was out in an hour!! Extremely pleasant and professional receiving staff and supervisors. The waiting area/lounge is very comfortable and well stocked with amenities. My only complaint is a minor one. I got 4 e-mails, 2 texts, and 2 phone call reminders. That needs to stop. If I make an appointment, I keep it. I do not need any reminders.

I work with James Wood and hes a great service guy. He explains the issues and lets me know what will be done and the costs without surprises. I despise that... not knowing how much something is going to costs or the full details of repairs. Also, this location gives loaners, rentals, or will pay for a rideshare. They have snacks too. Due to recent events, all of their snacks were individually wrapped in sandwich bags. I truly appreciate someone going the extra mile to do that task.
I requested the removal of silicone droppings on the hood of my car and the right back side panel. The silicone droppings came from the ceiling of a parking garage. When I picked up my car it looked like the silicone droppings were removed with a pen knife. My paint is now ruined and Lindsay Lexus refused to take responsibility. They tried to cover up the damage with touch up paint and did a poor job at doing that. The paint was removed all the way down to the metal of my car. When I questioned them about it they said that I asked them to remove the silicone and that is what they did. They also said that I should be grateful that they didnt charge me. Are you kidding me?! What responsible body shop of a high-end car would do such horrible work?!! My husband called the manager and left a message - the call was never returned.

First time I came here I was wearing a suit and I had a great experience. I was treated as I expected. This time I was in my gym clothes and was wearing a backwards cap and had a terrible experience with Frederick Reed. Besides my appearance and my name I canβt think of any other reasons why someone would indirectly call me a thief, completely disregard my texts and email as well as speak to me with an unenthusiastic and sarcastic tone of voice and overall manner from the start of our interaction. I wasted two days and picked up my car because Mr. Reed couldnβt tell me that they didnβt install rims bought from anywhere else. He couldβve told me that right away when I told him my old rim and the one I bought used were in my trunk along with the receipt since he wanted to tell me for no reason at all that he had his rim stolen once and that itβs βmessed upβ. Mine was punctured in I-66 and I purchased a used rim from a well known place in MD. I pursonally feel he had something against me as a Muslim man with the name Mohammad or he was just having an extremely bad day. At the same time when I informed him I would be reporting him to management he profusely and rudely told me yeah no problem Iβll get you started with that. How could someone be so codfish this unless he knew his manager wouldnβt do much since they are probably in good terms. Whatever you do, DO NOT work with Frederick Reed. If he doesnβt like tour appearance or name he will purposely drag your situation longer than needed and he will completely disregard any form of communication with him even if you try. Those two days were my only two days off to do Christmas shopping for my Christian relatives and friends. Now Iβm behind on all of that. Thanks for ruining my holiday shopping days Mr. Reed. I wonder how many people he has offended all this time. I wonder how he didnβt fear for his job and reputation when I informed him Iβd be complaining. I asked him the exact times of the things he did and he finally got nervous because it showed he couldβve contacted me a long time ago but he didnβt because I told him how late I was and needed to car back soon. I even sent him texts and an email. Finally it took other people there to get him to call me right at rush hour time.
I would like to thank Fred Reed and Ed Reilly for their exceptional service. On the whole; this service center is fantastic. I say this after having visited a few times. My first visit would have gone better if I had known the service center is not co-located with the sales office; I called a central phone number to make the initial appointment and subsequently drove to the place that I thought I had called - but anyway, I think if the phone operator just asks βis this your first visit?β It could allow for a simple follow up of ensuring the caller has the right address, etc. A minor detail - but really I donβt want to sound like Iβm complaining. I am very satisfied!
The service is great. The staff know the product whether its the mechanical or merchandise. They are friendly and seemed to like the job. I get a 24 hour loaner when they service my car and they dont hound me to get the car back when my car is ready. Lex is a little pricey but thats the car. Theres plenty refreshments and TVs if you decide to wait. I can tell the cars been serviced when I get it back. They get the cars in for service and get them out in a timely matter. I have always brought my car here for service.

Broke down on the Dulles Access merging on to I495. AAA towed my car and gave me a lift to the Lindsey Lexus service center. I canβt give enough stars to thank The Lexus service center personnel. The took great care of me and my car. I pulled up to the service center in a tow truck, shaken after spending two hrs stranded on the side of the road waiting for AAA. The Lexus personnel quickly pointed in the direction for me to get coffee, use the rest room and grab bagel while the took care of the paper work. They provided a loaner car at no cost to me. They were able to get me back on the road by the end of the day, which allowed me to make the 180 mile trip back home without concern. Many Thanks to Tammy and the great Lexus team!
The service is great, the parts though seem to have an issue in getting the right model and type.I had to order the same part 3 times and get the wrong item. Service staff are nice, prices can be better but its what it is.

A 1 star rating is too much for my experience. Should have been a big ZERO !! A week ago I had my Lexus RX 330 with low mileage towed to Lindsay Lexus of Alexandria because I had a leak in my radiator because it burst .The next day they called my husband and stated it would be $1100 for a new radiator . We gave them the go ahead to repair . 4 hours later the service rep called and stated they wouldnβt do the work unless I agreed to pay an additional $600 dollars for a comprehensive look over because they stated that it may be a busted head gasket, we assured them that there was no busted head gasket because I was able to drive my car out of my work garage to the tow truck, and my car never over heated, not once. We immediately went to the dealer and spoke with the Dennis the service manager and explained that this was ridiculous. He stated they would go ahead and fix the vehicle with our permission as long as we wouldnβt hold them accountable if anything else was wrong with the car . We agreed .The next day Dennis called my husband and stayed they wouldnβt work on the vehicle, so we had to pay to have the car towed once again . We towed the car to meineke (which we paid $175 to tow from Alexandria to Clinton, Md where we live) who installed a new radiator along with a complete flush . The car is now running great .On yesterday John on whatever his name is called my phone twice and asked if I would do a trade in for a new vehicle and they would give me money towards a new trade .Let me get this straight, they wouldnβt work on my vehicle but would purchase it !! I Donβt think so. I would never do business with Lindsay Lexus ever in this lifetime .Stephanie Bullock

Tammy Simone has got to be the best service advisor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Ive owned Toyotas, Fords, and Kias and I have never met anyone like Tammy. She really understands customer service and walked me (newbie) through my first service appointment with Lexus ever. She walked me through the customer service area and told me exactly how long it would take. She even told me about an update to a recall that she wanted to do along with my 5000 mile service. After it was said and done, she got me up and running and even filled my gas tank on the house and cleaned the outside of the SUV. Im already looking forward to my next service appointment with Lindsay because I know Ill be in great hands.
Service Department is not great with social distancing in the lobby or waiting area. When I was there on a Friday morning it was just too busy and crowded.
James Wood, although not my usual service writer, made what I thought was an extra effort to maintain communication when a major drivetrain item required replacement. His work with corporate to obtain good will consideration on an out of warranty repair was the difference in my decision to proceed with the work. James is part of a superb service team at Lindsay.
Love this dealership! I still take my GS 450 Hy ride there. They always take good care of my car. My son loves to go with us because they have great drinks and snacks while you wait.

Roger Hernandez at Lindsay Lexuss Service Center has provided me excellent customer service the handful of times I have had to bring my RXh in. He is pretty quick, upfront, and not-pushy (which I have greatly appreciated). Every time, Roger has taken good care of me with a loaner or rental car with no drama. Abiy, the technician, even identified how another dealer had poorly installed my remote starter (which I was not even aware). Both gentlemen worked with me to take care of the issue by coordinating with the other service center and providing excellent documentation. Thank you gentlemen!
