Shane was awesome! He quickly helped me activate a refurbished phone and transfer data from my old phone after I’d tried for several weeks with no luck and almost returned the phone. He was calm and patient and my friend and I enjoyed his company while we waited. I’ve named my new phone Shana in his honor and couldn’t be happier to have a working phone again. Thank you Shane!
My wife and I went into this Verizon retailer with a complicated set of problems to work out -- involving how to shift phone numbers from one phone and location to another, and reshuffling the equipment we had on Verizon FIOS and Verizon Wireless, resolving various billing questions, and sorting out the array of discounts that might or might not apply to us.Anthony handled the first set of problems, while Shane and Jake handled the remaining issues a few days later. I cannot recommend these three individuals more highly. Each one is friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and inventive in resolving really complex issues. It was hard work. At one point, when we seemed to be at a technology impasse, Jake said, I need to get a drink of water. He walked back a minute or so later carrying his bottle of water and said OK, Ive thought of a completely different way to solve this, and viola!, the whole problem disappeared in about two minutes. Unbelievable!Meanwhile, they were taking care of customers who were coming in to buy new cellphones, ask hard questions about cellphone capabilities and calling plans, sign contracts, and who were leaving visibly happy. even thrilled. What an amazing operation! This is the place to go for your new cellphone or to resolve technology and calling plan questions.

The customer service has improved since I was last here 18 months ago (at the former S. Washington St. spot). Jacob, the store manager, really went above and beyond in helping me sort out about 5 different issues, including moving lines from other accounts and picking phones. Also, he ordered a phone for me, and I decided on a different phone while I was waiting for it to come in. He was pretty cheerful about the change and spent a lot of time talking through the options, and he was kind as well as knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Seriously this independent group that owns this retail store should manage all corporate Verizon stores. This was the best cell phone experience I’ve ever had. WARNING DO NOT EVER go to this store! The store manager Gary or Garret, is the worst! He made me feel extremely unsafe. We came into the store early today to pick up a new iPhone for my mom. The store was way over capacity COVID breeding ground, and the store manager Gary or Garret was extremely rude! We decided to leave and come back because we had an appointment. We can back, and they were a girl working instead of the store manager. I told her I was glad she was here because the other guy was so rude! After a while, I was sitting quietly watching when he came out to confront me; he again was rude, telling me that he was not rude and he doesnt know why I would say that. I said, you were, and you are now his body language was very aggressive, and his eyes were scary! He left, then came and confronted me again, telling me Im wrong; then he went to my disabled mother and confronted her! I got upset and asked him to leave us alone, and he wouldnt. I could not believe a store manager would speak to us this way! I felt afraid that he would attack me, so I called the Alexandria police. He kicked me out of the store for asking him to leave us alone and be respectful to a customer! Horrible scary experience to have during these crazy times! I am still afraid because he has access to all my information, I will never go back to this store after being treated so poorly! I hope something will be done about his situation for the safety of future customers!
Jacob was extremely knowledgeable and helpful to let us know of the best deal to upgrade our phones. We called ahead 20 minutes before closing and told Jacob what we wanted to do and he told us to come in. He stayed over an hour past closing to assist us! We really appreciate all of his help and highly recommend visiting him at Verizon in Old Town!

I bough a Samsung S21 a few weeks after release, this store did ok with transferring all of my data into my new phone and activation. The issues I had was getting a receipt for my purchase, for some reason the emails were being blocked by Microsoft and I had to come in a few days later to authentic my ID to add a new email address so I could get the receipt.The major issue I had was being charged and extra $50 just to transfer my data into my new phone. Corporate Verizon already charges $40 to do this and if you want to use this store go ahead and transfer the data your self it is a easy setup and can be done at home, in my opinion being charged $90 for activating a new phone can be easily be avoided by just ordering a phone online and doing it yourself, which is what I will be doing from now on.
A superb experience with Jacob. I was a long time flip phone user and reluctantly switched to an iphone. Jacob was personable, kind, insightful, and eased the transition with great scoops. He has a strong work ethic which is obvious. Great customer service. He and his team are kind and easy to work with. THANK YOU!
I arrived 15 minutes after opening but the store was still closed. I came back a week later per direction from the store manager to have a screen cover replaced under warranty by staff and the employee present said he didn’t know how to install the screen.

He went above and beyond - staying over an hour past closing on a Sunday - to help my fiancée join my account and upgrade our phones. Was flat out lied to so they could make a sale. This is not a Verizon store, this is a reseller. They have one goal, to sell. I had a problem with my SIM and they did not even bother to look up my account or ask any questions about my issue. They just said they would sell me a new SIM for $80. I went to a real Verison store and a replacement SIM is included with your account if there is a problem. Go to a Verizon store not this disaster.

I was assisted by Salina and Anthony. They were very efficient and answered to all my questions. More important is to say that I never had to wait to be attended. That deserves a plus! :)

This manager will insure the failure of this store. I went in a month ago, and he told me hed have to charge me 50 bucks for showing how to switch sim cards to my new phone. Today no one was in the store. I was just in 30 seconds and about to ask if I could buy a sim card. He lit into me telling.me that unless I bought a phone from him, his ratings would go down. I informed him that this was the rudest encounter, and that I would drive any distance to avoid returning to his store.
Dont go here! They straight up lied to my husband and I on a buy one get one free deal. Verizon company stated this they are a retailer which means we should do our own research before buying from a retailer instead of their actual company. Also, they never gave us credit for our phone we turned in. I repeat DO NOT GO HERE. Verizon wouldnt help us so now we are out over $1k.
Visited this branch after a less than positive experience at a similar store nearby. Jawad reviewed my transactions with me, and even got on the phone with customer service to help me sort out a matter. All this, and he got nothing tangible from the exchange except to win over a new customer – me. This store has been redesigned and is wall to wall new equipment and accessories – wish I would’ve come here in the first place. Highly recommend!
I visited the store on Friday afternoon for help on a mistakenly deleted photo of the title to my mothers vehicle in which has passed away. I could not be more pleased with the service I received from Jonas and Tony. They were able to retrieve the photo for me. Great customer service. Thank you both.
I made a trip here after work because my Verizon phone unexpectedly died on me. Despite there being two employees each with a customer, they both assisted me by asking what I needed help with, and one gave me their full attention while the customer he was with was filling stuff out.The staff member figured out the problem immediately, then was very patient with me as I didnt have sufficient information to access my account (so we could see if the phone was still under warranty). He helped me along until he could finally access the account, and once he did and we figured out it was not under warranty, he gave me practical advice for how to handle it from there, even without involving the store. A very satisfying customer service experience all around.

I would caution anyone against using this business. I went in with an urgent need to have my phone repaired and the salesman basically told me he would not work with me unless I agreed to upgrade my phone. When I told him I didnt want to upgrade he said I work on commission. If you dont want to work with me I cant help you. He then referred me to a non-Apple repair place. I went to Apple instead and they replaced the phone at minimal charge. I would not trust this business.

When I walked in, the associate would not come out of the back room and stayed on his phone. I kept asking him to come out to help me. He made me go to him. I kept saying you mean you cant come out here to help me. I was not comfortable with this and it made me angry. My phone was ready to die and I asked if he had a way to plug it in to solve the problem. He said no since they had had a flood? How were all of the other phones charging? The bottom line was that the customer service was seriously lacking. I did get my problem resolved which was good but Daniel made me want to choose a different carrier altogether. You must go out of the back room, get off of your phone, and greet the customer, even if it is a Friday night near closing. I wouldnt have taken my time to drive to you if I didnt need help after a long week either. Thank you for resolving my problem but not in the manner in which it was resolved. That left a bitter taste in my mouth for your location.

The young man that helped me was the rudest person I ever meet. Not only did he not disrespect me he didn’t even know how to port my number. He told me he couldn’t transfer my number to new phone I just bought. Yet I called the original store and they had it done for me before I could even get back to my car. And he also said he couldn’t transfer my information. There is a app you can download that the other store gave me and I actually was able to do myself on the way back to my house. I wouldn’t give you 2 pennies for NOTHING in that store. I was so mad I left my Bluetooth on their table. I was so mad I bought a new one just so I didn’t have to go back. Trust me I will be taking this MUCH higher. HORRIBLE experience.

This is my recent comment on the Verizon survey for my visit to this location. Please proceed with caution.The initial transaction seemed really smooth and we were pleased. We quickly realized that our phone had not been activated when we got home, so we called and had it activated ourselves. When we opened our receipt at home, there was a Platinum pass charge for $39.99 that we had not heard of. Later that night, I received an emailed receipt from Verizon with a forged signature in the block where my name should have been. The receipt also had us signed up for insurance, which we did not want, nor sign for. I went to the store to get some insight on the issue. There was no answer to the signature, but they did resolve the insurance. The Platinum pass was for content transfer, tutorial, and activation which we received non of the above for. They asked me to return when the actual representative that I worked with was at work to resolve the signature and $39.99 charge. It took three separate visit to finally talk to the guy and he had not good answers. Then he asked me to digitally go through all the terms of services and receipts and resign all because my signature was forged on the previous documents. I exclaimed that I was never even presented this terms and receipts at checkout and that someone needed to answer for filling that out and signing for me. They quickly admitted fault and refunded everything except for the phone that we had purchased. I even got separate refunds for as little as $0.37 due to their incompetence. The manager was of very little help as well. This is a toxic store and was my favorite location until recently. I am still debating on switching to T-Mobile because of my interaction in this store. I feel that I was not compensated for my time and efforts after having someone illegally stealing my identity from behind the counter of this Verizon retailer. Please contact me for more information. Ive never had a problem with Verizon, at all, until now. The two guys working at the store were rude, unhelpful, and uninformative. They treat active duty military like dirt. Basically, my phone screen was cracked. I asked for their help, and they said they wouldnt service me since I was under my Mothers account. Every other store Ive been to has just had me call my mother on my phone to verify passwords/etc. They refused to do that. They then gave me the number to the insurance claim company and waved me off. I tried to fill out the claim online, but i got the notification that they dont ship to military bases, or boxes on top of that, and the system wouldnt allow me to file my claim. I asked the guys at the desk for help again, and they said there was nothing they could do. I asked if they could just send the phone to their store, and they replied The insurance company doesnt ship replacement phones to commercial addresses. They dont even ship their own phones to their own stores! I asked for guidance and they Told me to find a residential address to send it to where somebody would be there during the day to sign for it, or Id be stuck with a broken phone. Ive been In D.C. a couple of weeks. I dont know ANYBODY that has a residential address yet. The few people I do know are on base. The complaints go even deeper, but Im going to stop here. Basically, if you want your phone fixed or good customer service, dont even step foot into this store.
I visited this store on April 24th with my legally blind client the the service we received from LeRoyal Goodman was phenomenal. He was so professional and patient with her. He listened the took to the time necessary to attend her needs. She walked away and said tearfully “I am happy!! I can now be independent”. Bless you LeRoyal!! Five stars to you and your Alexandria store.

After a disappointing experience trying to replace a dead screen phone with T-Mobile (with them for 8 years), I met with Jan Smith and her team at the Verizon store on South Washington. She was extremely helpful in choosing a phone and plan that would work within my budget. in 30 minutes, they ported my number and I was up and running. Within a week, They called to make sure I was comfortable with the phone. After a month of use, the phone sounded muffled so I took it back to her point man working today. Within minutes, they reset the network and the phone, a Galaxy S5 is back. They were polite, helpful and clearly knew their stuff. Many Thanks!

In fact, he not only helped with replacing my sons phone, I worked with him over the next few weeks to make an informed decision about if or what phone I purchased next. He was knowledgable, professional and helpful. Im leaving the area soon but after ten years with Verizon I wish I had gotten to know him earlier -- hes a fantastic representative and every company needs a young person like that.

Murtaza Asrar did a very good job explaining my options in regards to trading my old iPhone 7 for a new IPhone XR, along with activating the new phone for me as well. Was very open to other questions asked along the way and was able to answer them accordingly.
They close at 8pm. We walked into this location at 7:51pm. Before I can say hello, ask a question or even look in the direction of the staff, one person yells out, were closed...were closed. I asked if I can buy a charger and all of a sudden they were OPEN again. We turned around and walked out. I meant to get the guy name but had to leave. The AA guy was with another customer and the Wht guy was the one with poor customer service. Its not an issue of Race, I just dont have his name. Date visited: 7/27/2017

My wife went here to fix a technical issue that the previous verizon store said they could not help with, they tried to make her change phones. The manager Reem was so helpful, not only did she solve my wifes phone issues, she was honest and genuine throughout the whole process. She didnt try to force her into buying anything that wasnt wanted. I recommend everyone that has any issues goes sees her, she will be honest and help as much as she can as she did with my wife.
My daughter had some issues with a new iPhone. Leroyal at TCC Alexandria Old Town made every effort to accommodate her - to include waiting for hours before a weather delay/closing. He also spent significant time on the phone with both of us as he sought to resolve the issue. We have had eight iPhones on our account for years and have had a lot of experience with Verizon.
