The Best Breakfast In Reasonable Price, 😋 😍

I tried many of their breakfast dishes but I love the biscuits and gravy!(not pictured) But one thing I cant resist is their Belgian waffle, Ive tried many places for Belgian waffle and none are good as Barnsides!

Use to order from Barnside Diner a lot from Amazon when they delivered food. Ordered via Grubhub Homemade Meat Loaf. A Anytime Dinner which came with 2 sides and a dinner roll. So I picked a side of House Salad and a side of Vegetables. I also ordered a soft drink and a Pecan Pie.Sadly, Grubhub took an hour to get the food to me so it was cold. Not the restaurant’s fault. The drink was okay, the salad was okay, but the meatloaf and vegetables reminded me of something from a TV dinner. Even if still warm it would have been disappointing. Also the Pecan Pie was small and thin. And there was no dinner roll. So I have to take two stars away. Once again not for being late. But for missing an item and for the quality of the food.

So in love with this cute diner. The women behind the counter were all so friendly and welcoming. They make wonderful food here, I had the stuffed French toast with sausage and eggs. Every bite was delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

Ive been a fan of barnside for years, however, I just walked in to try and order food to go, was told they were too busy and to come back in an hour. Who says that? You have people waiting to be seated whose food you have to prepare. I didnt want a table, just food to go.

Highly recommended restaurant! The place is so cozy and the service excellent. Delicious food, especially the pancakes!

I really enjoy going here. Ive never had a bad meal. The corned beef hash, pancakes, eggs, bacon, all of it is good. It does tend to get busy, so they used to have a 30 minute max for all parties, but I dont know if thats still the case. The service is pretty good overall, too. They dont come to the table often enough to pester you, but usually they come enough to check on drink levels and whatnot. Last time I was here, my server could have checked on me a little more, but that seems to be a one time thing.

One of the best places to get breakfast in the Alexandria area! The second we walked in we felt welcomed as family. You sit anywhere you want which I personally love. The food was excellent I had classic pancakes, eggs & bacon & my partner had the Redskins omelette with has browns. We were SO happy with how it turned out, bacon was crispy the way I like it, eggs were cooked perfectly, his omelette was AH-MAZING!!! Also, every staff member was vaccinated so we felt 10000% comfortable being inside. If you’re thinking about a delicious meal cooked with love & great conversation with staff this is the place to go! Its a cozy quite restaurant. The food and the service is good. My only complaint is the noise by the counter where we sat. You know dishes ratting and orders being called out..

Had some corned beef hash with eggs, that was good.The vanilla milkshake though was more milk than milkshake but the strawberry milkshake was good. The food was great. Havent had pancakes like that in a while.ServiceWe came in around 445 in the afternoon, aside from our table, there were only 2 other people in the diner, still our server forgot the silverware, the whipped cream on the pancakes, no salt on the table and no napkins. I am unsure why the server was a bit behind on everything. She was friendly and seemed nice but if there were only 3 tables occupied, I did expect a certain level of service.LocationExtremely convenient. Literally roadside as roadside diners would go. Inside the diner is clean and very cozy comfortable.

Location- Easy to see on the North side of Little River Turnpike. Decent spot, but a bit tricky to head east toward I-395 afterwards.Parking - Free and adequate.Hours - Open 24 hours!Menu/Food - Extensive diner fare, including breakfast all day! Quality was good, and we both had leftovers. I personally recommend the breakfast, but I havent yet sampled enough other fare. To date, the best diner Ive been to in Northern VA.Barnside is in a pretty random place off of Little River Turnpike and, from the outside, feels like the kind of restaurant where youd enter a healthy individual and leave with any number of parasitic diseases.However, I braved this place one night and was absolutely blown away.Now, of course, its diner food, so you shouldnt expect anything thats going to knock you out of your seat. But, at the same time, if you enjoy good, fresh breakfast food at any time of the day, then this place is one of the best around.When I went, around the dinner hour on a weeknight, I was one of only 2-3 other people in the whole restaurant. That being the case, I was seated immediately and had my drink with 3 minutes.I ordered the pancake platter which came with 3 pancakes, 2 eggs and a couple slices of bacon. Typically, Id expect to pay somewhere around $10 for this kind of meal, but it was only $8 at Barnside. A rarity in Northern VA.The meal itself was phenomenal. Everything was cooked fresh and was absolutely delicious.On top of that, the staff and service was great. Our waiter was so friendly and checked on us consistently throughout the meal to make sure that we had everything that we needed. I loved it.Overall, this is my new go-to diner in Northern VA. Its quaint, its unique, its inexpensive, its great for a family and its delicious.

Very cosy place, you feel that you’re having a meal while on a trip. Opens 24 hours, there food portions usually generous. Can’t go wrong with most of their menu. Highly recommend this place.

Barnside is one of my go-to diners for weekend breakfast. They are one of the few places you can get REAL SHREDDED HASHBROWNS. The pancakes are great too.

I ordered chicken fajita omelette and They gave me without cheese! It is so dry! Very disappointed.

Visited on a Sunday around 1100. Fairly busy, we had to wait for a table. The staff were very disorganized and tried to give a table to the people who came in way after us, luckily the customers realized and called us over to take the table. The waitress then explained that the people before had left without paying.Very slow, but friendly, service, waitress seemed like she was in a daze. Food was edible. Maybe it was just an off day for the restaurant.

Amazing food and service. The entire place was super clean including the bathrooms. My waitress was sweet, attentive, and full of smiles.

This was my very first visit and I can truly say that the meal was delicious. The service was great. I have no complaints.

We had no wait despite coming in on a busy Saturday morning. The manager is very professional and attentive. The value for the food and service is amazing. Everything is fresh and you can watch them make your food right in front of you. Our food was out minutes after ordering. The staff was very professional and provided great service! My new favorite place for weekend breakfast.

Good food, reasonably priced. Attentive service. Some of the booths are a really tight squeeze and uncomfortable to sit in. They definitely need to expand to allow for more and more comfortable seating. I have been eating here for 15+ years and unfortunately the seating has always been an issue.

This place is absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and the staff was amazing.

I used to visit this restaurant regularly. On my last visit I went in and was not acknowledges. I stood at the door waiting to be directed where to sit but no one paid attention to me. I felt very awkward. Only half of the workers had on masks. They did not limit seating so the people were packed in like sardines.

We havent been there in a while and they remembered me. We had breakfast (eggs, cornbeef hash, grits and English muffin). Why did I stay away so long? Excellent food and service and their hours are now 7am-3pm. We will be back sooner rather than later. A great place for breakfast and lunch.

These omlettes are super fluffy!! Coffee is pretty good. Pics are a veggie omlette with feta cheese, and the farmers omlette. The side of sausage is very good too.

What a huge disappointment. I gave 2 stars because the African Omelet was good. I ordered food with delivery, which I think was the biggest mistake. Everything was cold, I was missing multiple items (sides, cornbeef hash, drink). The wings had no sauce? Not sure if this was intentional, but it was fried chicken, not buffalo wings. The liquid cheese in the potato skins does not travel well. Honestly, waste of 50 bucks. Shouldnt have treated myself to breakfast, Id have done better here.

Solid, solid breakfast and lunch served all day at value pricing. Good, old diner feel. Mask policy is well enforced for indoor dining but can be close quarters. Recommend caution

The fries were fried a little to hard for my liking but the rest of my food was GREAT... I got the barnside burger with Fried eggs cheese and bacon it was cooked to perfection!!!!

Food is excellent; however, the emphasis has been on take out orders leaving in door customers waiting long times for their food. The emphasis must change for the in dining customer or we will not come back.

Great little place for when you’re craving classic diner food. Service was good and fast. The food was great and came out very quickly. It has an open kitchen so if you’re sitting at the bar you can actually see them making your food which was fun. Would definitely recommend and will go back soon!

Ordered breakfast via door dash. Instructions were to please butter my wheat toast and pancakes. First off I was given white toast, it wasn’t buttered and no butter was in the bag. I did not receive my pancakes. They provide no plastic utensils or napkins. I think they could do a better job with to go orders.

The Barnside Diner is known for turning out high-quality food quickly with friendly service. We had passed it so many times in the past but finally decided to stop by with empty stomachs. Open 24/7. We ordered pancake platter which came with 3 pancakes, 2 eggs and slices of bacon; and also their famous Red Skin Omelet. Food portions were large, everything was fresh and you could watch them make your food right in front of you. Best 24hr non-chain diner in area.

Great all American dinner. Country fried steak with gravy was delicious. Any thing fried is going to be good.

The waitresses were very nice but the food was very bad. I ordered eggs Benedict and there wasnt a single part of the egg that was solid, usually you cook the whites and leave the yoke but this was terrible. The only good thing was the pecan pie, they said they make the pies there

Fast service, great food. Just a little pricey but the amount of food, quality, its worth it. I recommend it. I have eaten breakfast (big menu) and dinner. Both were very good.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The manager was extremely rude and refused to help us. He kept arguing with the customers and did not make the order we asked for. We waited for him to fix the order and he said it would take longer and then proceeded to do other things. The food was cold and not what we asked for.

I placed an order online, went to the store to pick up my order and I was told by the manager that an order was never retrieved. Nobody knows where this order or my money went. The staff and manager were not very helpful in this manner and shrugged their shoulders at me when I left.Horrible customer service.

This was a great find! Small space that was clean and comfortable. Service was quick and the diner food was yummy. Everyone could get something that wanted! Will definitely visit again!
