We had a new front entry door with sidelights and new sliding door installed. We had a great experience from selling to installation. Dave, worked closely with us on style alternatives and color choices. His experience was invaluable. Due to the current supply chain issues and Covid, it took a bit longer than anticipated to receive the doors. The communication with the office staff regarding installation date and procedures was exceptional. The installation was flawless, Joe and Carlos showed up early and worked without a break. They are true craftsmen and take great pride in their work.

NOVA provided a detailed estimate & revised it as my choices changed & focused. After we reached agreement the provided a clear timeline for the job. The doors were ready 2 weeks earlier than estimated. Work was scheduled rapidly and was performed expertly by a great team. The work area was curtained off from the interior. They were done in 3 -4 hours and left the worksite spotless. Please beware before entering a contract with Nova Exteriors. We entered an $8,500 contract to replace some siding in July 2021. The contract stated that the work was estimated to start in eight weeks, but we were told that it would actually be up to 10-12 weeks. Three weeks later, we unexpectedly found a new house. We immediately asked Nova to cancel the contract because we would be moving before the work would start, apologized for any inconvenience, and explained that our new house needed a lot of work that we would contact them about once we settled in. The owner of Nova, Peter, wrote to us demanding half the contract price ($4,250). Since no work had been done yet and we had no indication that Nova had incurred any costs, we told him that we were trying to do the right thing and not leave him in a position where he lost money, so to please tell us what his costs were, if any. He did not identify any costs, instead telling us that $4250.00 is a lot for not doing the work, perhaps you can recoup the cost on the sale of the home. How would we recoup the cost of new siding if the siding wasnt installed? His lawyer then sent us a demand letter for almost $6,000 (the $4,250 plus interest and over $1,400 in legal fees). Whether or not Nova has the legal right based on fine print in the contract to collect almost $6,000 from us without even having a scheduled start date (let alone doing any actual work or identifying any expenses), it is a very poor way to treat your customers.

NOVA Exteriors in Virginia just replaced the roof over an addition to our home in Bethesda. The job was done on time, with a crew that new just what to do and managed to get the job done before the rains came. They also installed a new skylight to replace the leaky old one and a contractor friend of ours judged it a superior job. The price was right: other contractors bids were double Nova’s. They cleaned the yard, protected the shrubs. I never had to get a roof replaced before, but I was amazed at how smooth the operation went. The owner followed up with friendly emails, phone calls, and arranged scheduling to suit our schedule. I have recommended them to many in our neighborhood for roofing and exterior work.

NOVA Exteriors was recommended to us by a good friend. They were our first estimate appointment and our last. We could have spent (wasted) time finding a cheaper deal, but we decided that word of mouth from someone we trust would save us time and money in the end. We signed a contract for a new front door and door surround, new siding and gutters with gutter covers. The gentleman who visited us for the estimate was professional, through and not aggressive or pushy. He spent three and a half hours with us going over all the details and answering all of our questions. We signed the contracts on April 15. Our new front door was installed in early May and it looks fantastic! The install team worked in the rain to get the job done on time. We are extremely pleased with how it turned out! The siding crew just completed phase two of our project yesterday installing the siding and we were blown away with the results! They were professional, courteous, hard working and are true masters of their craft! They worked non-stop each day only taking a short lunch break. The cleanup was impeccable as we only found a few leftover nails in the yard today (we had to really search to find them). We are anxiously awaiting the gutter install (early next week) and our new door surround to complete this home makeover project. We happily recommend NOVA Exteriors to anyone looking for home improvements. Great people, great product and great service!! We included some before and after pics even though the job is not quite finished. We will update with new pictures once they are all finished!

Had a great experience with NOVA Exteriors on a front door replacement. It was a bit pricey (front door and all the other exterior locks for under $2,500), but the service and quality made up for the cost. The sales rep came to our home to discuss styles and finishes. We were then given the timeframe for manufacturing and the expected installation date. The door came exactly when it was supposed to. And, the installation team was top-notch. They even helped with a quick repair on another door without being asked. Thanks to the NOVA Exteriors team for a job well done. Well be sure to reach back out for our next door replacement.

The salesman came to our home and was highly knowledgeable and did not use high pressure sales tactics. The door was ready sooner than predicted and they were quick to schedule the installation. Getting new windows and a sliding glass door was a daunting process, mostly because of the number of companies out there and not really knowing the difference between window types and if it’s worth the expense. We had a positive experience with Kenny at Nova Exteriors when he came to our house for an estimate. He wasn’t “salesy” (especially compared to reps from places like Window Nation that used annoying pressure sales tactics). The options were straight-forward, and we liked the company history & products/labor warranties. The negative would be cost (on the higher end of estimates compared to others we received) but at the end of the day we went with the company we liked and decided to pay more for overall quality. It’s hard to know if we get up-charged for location (the same windows in a different county are probably a certain % cheaper) but that’s out of our control. The installation went smoothly, and the team was friendly, efficient, and did a nice job. We hope to enjoy our new windows and sliding glass door for many years to come!

We recently moved into a new house and required a new side door for a business entrance. We had used NOVA Exteriors on our previous house and had such a great experience, we knew we would look nowhere else. We wanted a mid-century modern door and they were able to provide it without issue (and its a show-stopper!). The door is fabulous; the quality of both the door and the installation are unmatched. Our front door is nice but the difference between the NOVA Exterior door and the front door are night and day. The insulation is throughout the door frame and the door closes with a solid thud. (My husband describes it as a vault door). It makes you feel safe knowing that the door is secure. I have no doubt that we will be soon purchasing a new front door from them as well. Another big positive was the purchase price. Though not cheap (its worth it - I swear), they stand by their price no matter what modifications are required to ensure a perfect fit. VERY PLEASED WITH THE PLAN, EXECUTION AND OUTCOME! HAVE REFERRED MANY OF OUR NEIGHBORS TO YOU AND IF AND WHEN NEEDED WE WILL CALL AGAIN! Won’t provide an estimate without meeting the homeowner in person to give a sales pitch. Typically, what happens with sub contractor type trades is you’ll get a price two to three times what it should cost and they’ll walk it back down in price in order to close the sale. I don’t have time to waste with that game. Just needed an honest price without the games.

We got a new screen door installed and added aluminum cladding around and above our door frame. They did an EXCEPTIONAL job. There was tremendous attention to detail and efficiency. The products are also high quality and they have great customer service. I highly recommend.

NOVA Exteriors installed a Legacy smooth steel entry door for us yesterday, as well as a Deluxe series full view storm door. We are very pleased with the two doors, an investment for us, yet we believe worth the money. The exterior door in Vallis Red is a great color to complement our homes brick and shutters.Both doors are very well-made, attractive, sturdy and energy efficient with a great warranty. The customer service at NOVA Exteriors is outstanding. After the installers left yesterday, I called the office to ask for a minor adjustment of the storm door and the two installers were back to my house within minutes to make just right. I would highly recommend this company and the doors they install. From the initial salesperson to the folks in the office to the installers, they were all pleasant and easy to work with. If youre looking for great, professional, and timely service I would recommend using them. My rep Sam was the best and never over sold me anything and gave me all the information I needed. The owner Peter answered all my questions or correspondences and even eased my nerves when my anxiety took over. The other Subcontractors and employees were respectful, did great work, and were very efficient. I will be using their services again for future work.

I will try to keep this brief.The sales guy was really nice and talked a great game. We bought two sets of exterior French Doors. The price was not great, but was in the competitive range. They did a horrible job with the installation. They installed the framing such that the doors cant open all the way, and will in fact be damaged if they are opened too far (accidentally or by the wind). The hardware doesnt latch properly; you have to slam the door and jiggle the lock before it will engage. We called them within a couple of weeks to ask them to come out and fix these issues. The guy who answered insisted that nothing was wrong, insulted my wife and, when she threatened to put a stop payment on the check until she was satisfied that it was repaired, and he arrogantly said go ahead. We did. Then the owner called me, wouldnt let me get a word in edgewise, accused me of stealing (for doing what his employee told us to do), and literally threatened me with physical assault in the course of the discussion that ensued (remember these are they guys who know where my family lives and just installed the exterior doors). At the end of that discussion I paid them, and they agreed to come out to fix it. When they showed up, they essentially told us, this is how its supposed to be and left.NOVA Exteriors is arrogant and rude from the owner on down. They feel comfortable being loud, rude, and physically threatening their customers.Use them at your own risk. I for one, will never use HomeAdvisor (the website that recommended them) again, because they are clearly a lead-generating machine for businesses and dont do their due diligence to protect the actual homeowners. As you might guess, I was NOT happy with NOVA Excel.UPDATE 2/29: After posting this review last night I got a call waking me up first thing in the morning. Rather than calling to make things right, the irate owner was threatening a libel lawsuit, despite the fact that every word in my review is truthful.

Superb ! From my cold contact with Nova Exteriors via their webpage, I was immediately contacted within minutes. Setup a home visit within days and the process was seamless. Employees were knowledgeable of their product and explained in detail. Measuring, ordering and delivery was spot on. Door was installed within one day of delivery. The installation team was professional, clean and knew what they were doing. They talked with us throughout the install explaining what they were doing and why. When they were done, wow. They cleaned up the work area, and it looked just like it did before they started. Could not be any happier. How this whole process went is exactly what a customer wants. Zero issues from start to finish. Provia patio door is a fantastic product. I will use Nova Exteriors and Provia in the future when I need one to two other doors replaced.

I am a repeat customer with Nova Exteriors. They built my deck back in 2004, and 13 years later it looks as good and is as sturdy as day one. Because of the quality of the workmanship I decided to return to Nova Exteriors after I had a couple large trees fall onto my house during a recent wind storm. During this repair they fixed the roof, siding, gutters on my house and the workmanship was exceptional. Nova Exteriors was extremely professional and a delight to work with. I reached out to them about replacing a door after another contractor disappeared on me, and they were able to send someone out to generate a quote right away. Over the course of our discussion, he isolated my main complaint and suggested an alternate (and cheaper) option than what I thought I needed. The installation went smoothly and on schedule, and they minimized the dust and the overall impact on the rest of my house. I would absolutely work with them again in the future.

I didnt get any farther than scheduling the estimate since the contractor flaked the morning he was to come by. They called saying they wanted to come later in the day but I had l already planned the Friday morning off and had other estimators coming on by. If they wanted my business they should have been on time. The guy on the phone was very courteous despite.

They do excellent work and stand by their warranty. We recently had to have them come back for adjustments and were very pleased with their customer service and the skilled worker that resolved our issues. It should be noted that the adjustments was not a fault of the install or hardware, just basic usage over time. I was pleased they came out to adjust the door under the warranty.

I would recommend Nova Exteriors to family and friends. I had four sliding doors replaced. They were great from beginning to end with sales and install experience. Their contractors that installed the doors were considerate and treated my home as it was theirs. The doors were ordered and install date was quicker than I expected. Everything was done within the month. On the day of the install, they were supposed to come between 8-9am, but came an hour earlier and glad they did as they were finished by 2:30pm.

Our experience with NOVA exteriors was first rate. They gave us a good bid on the windows for our condo and sent a small team to install them a month later. (It takes a bit of time for the custom windows to be fabricated). The windows all work great. We had a small stress fracture in one of the windows fourteen months later. I emailed pictures of the crack and the codes off the side of the window. They replaced the window in good order. A nice clean experience all around.

Enjoyed working with NOVA exteriors. Great explanation of potential products, a huge selection of designs and color matches for the interior and exterior portions of the French doors we had replaced, and installation was waaaay less painful on the adjacent walls than I thought it might be. The doors look great and best of all, no more rain water coming thru. Great job! Highly recommend and we will use again!
