Was happy to find a other option for welding gas, disappointed it turns out I dont. Poor service and incredibly high prices. Was in the area and realized they were somewhat on the way. Called to make sure they had a bottle of 75/25 welding gas for exchange. Asked to confirm their closing time and the gentleman stated 3:45. I thought this was odd because their website said 4. My GPS had me getting there at 3:50 so I asked him if this was OK. He huffed and simply said hurry.I got there at 3:49. I noticed the hours listed on the door stated they closed at 4. I walked in, was told to go to the loading dock, exchanged tanks and was told to call the number on the sign. I did, it was the same guy saying hed take payment over the phone. I understand covid is a thing but this seemed draconian (I was wearing a mask BTW). After he took my information he gave me the total of just under $100. This is when cancelled the exchange. Thats nearly 70% more expensive than their competitors. As I was leaving at 3:52, he was locking up.
I was able to pick up a 10 lb CO2 tank quickly without problems. Person was mindful of Covid and on time to open the store.
UNSAFE! UNSAFE! UNSAFE!My wife brought a tank in that Ive been using and originally got from there to get a fill. Before I strapped the tank down in our truck I noticed I had lost the screw on valve cover and ended up taking the one off of my other tank, thinking.... duhh they will give me a tank back with one on it. NOPE. I now have 2 tanks here without tops now. They didnt have one for the tank they gave us so they let my wife leave with it like that. Im quite blown away. Chris at the counter should have said hey I dont have a tank valve cover for the new tank so we will give you a size bigger or something.... to make sure my wife didnt DRIVE OUR TRUCK WITH A TANK STRAPPED DOWN WITHOUT A SCREW ON VALVE COVER! We just recently started a welding company in the area and were planning to use this as our weld supply shop but Ill be taking my business to Arc3...
Man working the shop had a terrible knowledge base for welding and has again sold me the wrong product. Why does the consumer had to come in knowing more than the person what works there. Go to another location to use Roberts Oxygen, thats my suggestion!
