This place is fantastic! I love pastries and this place has it all. I ordered the small carrot cake, it has a lot of frosting so it was okay. The banana foster and the bread pudding are really good. I ate them cold but Im sure warm taste better. I cant wait to go back and taste other pastries.

Very nice staff.They package the boxes of desserts you buy with a cute sticker, ribbon, and a sprig of baby’s breath.When we went, they had:caramel cheesecake, almond brittle cheesecake, carrot cake, coconut cake, banana foster, gingerbread people, frosted sugar cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, and an assortment of chocolates (almond joy, hazelnut clusters, almond clusters).

Ordered 2 cakes here for a birthday party. Both ready on time. Picked them up on labor day even. Both tasty well made

Perfectly Sweet is a cute little bakery with a variety of goodies . I had chocolate cupcakes, strawberry shortcake, and cheese cake with chocolate ganache and strawberry on top . Everything was delicious even their cookies .

OMG!!! The strawberry shortcake was so good that I ate the whole cake by myself. There were so many strawberries that it was unbelievable. Each bite had strawberries in it and each strawberry was sweet. I received this cake as a birthday cake but nobody got a chance to taste it. The cake was so good that I am heading to the bakery to buy me two. Unbelievably scrumptious!!!

Out of all the desserts we had, the only thing that was sort of good was the little carrot cake. Do not order the banana cream pie, pineapple upside down cake, espresso truffle cake or the red velvet cupcake. The texture was all too dense on all of them and nothing had any sugar in it, except the carrot cake. Based on previous reviews, I so wanted to like this place, but I just do not. Sorry, I won’t be back. Perfectly Sweet it is not.

Id say its perfectly sweet.....I guess thats original right!?But really Ive have had the banana cream pie at this place several times before & decided to pick it up again tonight for dessert.Items ordered:Kind of thought about trying something else like the tiramisu or I think I saw a pineapple upside down cake that looked pretty good. But ultimately decide to just got with the usual, banana cream pie, ole faithful.Taste:As usual I was very happy with the banana cream pie. As the name of the place, I really do think it is perfectly sweet & not overwhelmingly sweet. The banana comes off very well & the custard has a nice light flavor. The crust did seem a little dryer tonight but nothing so bad it ruined the dessert. It all combined for a very enjoyable dessert.I do have to say Im a fan of the banana flavor here because it has that real & not artificial flavor. With that said though, since they are using real bananas, I have noticed times where the banana flavor is sometimes a little stronger or weaker.One big win here I feel is the value. Its a very nicely sized mini pie for just over $5. Definitely enough for two to share & I just think its so much funner getting a mini pie verus a slice of a whole standard sized pie.Service & parking:It was a slow night since it was Monday & we were nicely greeted right when we walked in. Service was just attentive enough at the front counter as needed.If youre lucky youll find parking right on Main St, as close as possible. If not theres a pretty good sized parking lot in back where you should be able to find a spot. Oh & this place is directly across from Boiling Crab since that is kind of more noticeable.Protip:Have some of your pie with ice cream when you get home. Ice cream flavors I had were strawberry cheesecake & coffee & it was so good altogether. If you had a something like a dark chocolate ice cream at home, it would work so well with this pie.I dont eat pie everyday nor do I think anyone should. But I definitely would return here when its time for something perfectly sweet....sorry just had to use that one again to come full circle.

Delicious desserts on main street in Alhambra. If you like coffee the white mocha pairs well with just about anything. There is parking behind the bakery and if its not busy there are two parking spots in front.

Long time patron of their wonderful cakes. Favorites are: Creme Bruelle (all time best-cant find another who can top theirs), flour-less chocolate cake, tiramisu, chocolate raspberry mousse, and fruit tarts. All made fresh. I have never been disappointed in buying their products, EVER! Ive purchased and ordered from them countless times to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries or simply to celebrate life. The place is not fancy but cozy. Once in a while, my husband and I would spend quiet time there just to sip hot chocolate and share a piece of cake together.

Been coming here for years, and it has the best cakes. They are beautifully made and delicious as well. I would say this place has cakes as good as portos but their cakes are prettier and not as ginormous also they have that made with care feel which I love.

Best cakes and pastries around this area. My favorite is the German chocolate cake and end tree leches. Definitely a high quality recipe. The brownies and banana pudding are so good too.

I tried their carrot cake a few years back at a friends birthday and remembered it being really good. Fast forward a few years and its just as good as I remembered it.Ive never been to Perfectly Sweet but placed my order over the phone with a sweet woman. I didnt catch her name. Anyway, i had my sister pick up the cake for me and it turned out perfect.The cake looked great and tasted amazing. My boyfriends favorite cake is carrot and he enjoyed it very much.Thanks for making my boyfriend happy with his birthday cake!

This place is amazing. Discovered it years back. Disappointed by the lack of freshness to cost ratio. The mexican wedding cookies were the start of it all for me. They used to be bigger and had a delicious softness that allowed you to taste the flavors of the cookie themselves. Now they are smaller, no softness in them and filled with so many nuts that you cant taste the homemade flavor like you used to. Its quite sad that I find it easy to walk out with nothing due to one to many times the lack of freshness in the product. The lemon bars are amazing. When I asked if they were fresh they said yes. I bought two and once again disappointed by the OLD taste I suggest carefully looking before buying, you can tell fresh from something that has been sitting for several days. The flavor is obvious bringing quality down. Wish I could say I was the only one who noticed as well.

Just like the name perfectly sweet, all the goodies are delicious. The first time was on a Saturday night and went back with all family the very next day. Absolutely awesome.

I got a cake for me moms bday. The design on the cake was so beautiful. I loved that there was a huge rose on it! It looked so pretty. It also tasted great. The frosting, in my opinion, is a tad sweeter than I would like, however it was still really good. Basically, if you were wondering... YES, YOU SHOULD GET A CAKE FROM HERE.

Love this place! One of a kind! We live far and whenever we are around the area we make sure we stop by. Its not easy to find places like this one. Too bad about customer service, the lady in the evenings lacks a friendly attitude. I feel like I need to apologize for bothering with questions about the products or just for her service.

Really love this place. Its my go to for all bdays or when I really want to impress somone. The reason I gave them only 4 stars is cause they have no way for me to order or check inventory unless driving all the way to alhambra to do it in person. I dont live close to Alhambra. I call and call and call and they NEVER pick up the phone! They dont have a website or any contact info. EXTREMELY ANNOYING when I get there and what I had my heart set on is not available. So sad!!

Bought their cookies at Mothers Market while working in Irvine, and realized they are down the street in Alhambra. Holy moly! try the double chocolate cookies sold in a stack. They win the award for best impersonation of a brownie. Wow.

My husband bought a tres Leches cake and I must say, it was the BEST Tres Leches cake Ive ever had. I also tried a fruit tart which was absolutely delicious. Their red velvet cookies are yummy literally perfectly sweet.

This is a gem in San Gabriel! My faves are the Florentine (crushed almond shell, fresh homemade custard and fresh fruit), creme brulee, and the flourless chocolate cake. Their cheesecakes, heck, all of their cakes, are top notch. They also have smaller, individual portions for many of their desserts. This is my absolute bakery in the SGV area and their ingredients are top notch, on top of the beautiful work they do for every pastry.

Greeted nicely with all sorts of deliciousness and cute interior design. Bought a bottle of water though. Dont serve cold beverages.

Excellent selection of all types of sweets from cakes and mousses to cookies etc. Very fresh and the packaging is nice too especially is youre taking it for a gift.

Lemon tart crust was just dense not flaky and had a small amount of lemon curd.Chocolate rum cake had very string rum with no sweetness and the cake layers were too dense.Wont be coming back.

I had the cajun shrimp and my date had the sea bass, both were delicious and portions were very generous for the price!

Those seeking lighter Asian dessert fare need not apply here.While I only tried a few bites of their German chocolate cake, which was indeed deliciously rich and dense, most of my efforts were focused on the Florentine I ordered: a monstrosity meant to shared with others (or so I imagine), comprised of an almond brittle bowl, inlaid with dark chocolate, filled with a custard base, and topped with fresh fruit. Absolutely fantastical, and actually surprisingly light, for the first few bites, anyway.***Accessibility Info***Venue - A smaller cafe with seating for about 20 at most, most of which were pretty accessible.Bathroom - While the bathroom itself was accessible, getting to it required shifting a little furniture, as the hallway is partially blocked by a little coffee table they keep to the side.

I think this is the best cake shop I have ever been to, they dont have lots of options and their decorations arent impressive BUT, THEIR CAKES TASTED THE BEST.

Disappointed. The tiramisu mousse was dense and dry and tasted old... The aztec hot chocolate was OK, not memorable. Their desserts are pretty, and you can see the bakers decorating the cakes behind the counter. Too bad they wouldnt let me take a picture.I was disappointed but Im willing to give it another shot with a different dessert. Its a nice coffee shop to sit and chat.

This bakery definitely lives up to its name. The desserts look as delectable as they taste, and even after arriving close to the bakerys closing time, there were still tons of desserts behind the glass.A few pros:-The bakery is open late, which is definitely a plus! Most bakeries close early, but since this one is on Main Street where there are lots of customers who like to eat dinner and then search for a bite of dessert, having the bakery open a little later definitely has its advantages!-Everything looks amazing. I seriously wanted to try every pastry and dessert behind the refrigerated glass covering!-The workers are really nice and take extreme care in packaging up the goodies in boxes.-Lots of sitting area (inside and outside) if you want to eat the dessert in the store.-They serve coffee and tea along with desserts.The only con that I can identify is that the pastries are not cheap, and run around $5 and up. Some desserts that are quite small (like the chocolate covered strawberries, etc.) are almost $3 while a banana cream pie (individual sized) is only $5.I tried their famous strawberry shortcake and the individual banana cream pie. Within a few minutes, my parents and I had devoured the strawberry shortcake and most of the pie. Both were amazing! I can definitely see why the strawberry shortcake is so popular. Its encircled with a piece of plastic to keep the cakes shape. The cake was moist and light, and the strawberries and cream werent too sweet, but had enough sweetness to satisfy my sweet tooth.The banana cream pie was tasty, but I still prefer Marie Callenders banana cream pie. The only thing that really stuck out was that the crust was extra flaky and crispy (while Marie Callenders is usually soft and chewy). I did like that the cream of the pie was banana flavored, which made the whole dessert come together.tl;dr - A great little place to get dessert! You can place an order for a larger sized cake or pick up to-go. I would recommend stopping by on a weekday (M-Th) since I feel parking will be tough until the new structure opens up. Prices are fair, and everything I tasted was amazing!
