Really expensive books but you also pay for the experience. They had a lot of the books that I wanted to get and such such such a cute store! The Starbucks smelt amazing in there and I got a coupon for it after I purchased my book. My cashier gave me a bunch of recommendations and was super cute! I love this place!

I love this store. So much to choose from, I could spend hours in here, and I love that they still have CDs for sale! The only downfall is my wallet isnt always happy with me when I leave lol

I mean, Barnes and Noble is exPENNY, dont get me WRONG- but they also have a very nice selection of books. I really love their faux leather classics series (pictured below- also Ive recently seen them in the book annex, so if youre interested, I recommend heading over fast). They have some GORGEOUS lord of the ring copies, and if youre a baby manga fan, youll probably find what youre looking for here.No comment on customer service- everyone has been nice when Ive talked to them, but I try to avoid doing that as much as possible because it stresses me out haha. They pretty much leave you alone, which I really appreciate. Nothing worse than someone constantly coming up to you to see how youre doing.B&N also has exclusive copies of The Adventure Zone which come with little trading cards! I think they are very cute :)

This bookstore was spacious and well arranged. There were a wide selection of books and everything was labeled and placed under appropriate sections. Everything was priced appropriately. There were also a wide selection of items for readers like cups, tumblers, posters and the like.

Very helpful staff. Unfortunately, they were out of 1984 on paperback but Ill return to look again. Everything was pretty easy to find.

Amazing store filled with lots of wonderful books, movies, games, music, and more! It is very clean inside and there are lots of employees to help you out. No matter what your favorite genre is, they have it! Even if they dont they will order it for you and ship it to the store!They even have a cafe in there as well if you happen to get hungry and the aroma fills the entire store making it smell good.

I dont read books. My girlfriend loves to read. I went in to find her a book. That I had looked up and knew she would love. I went in and looked around and the staff asked if I needed help. I did. So I asked for a few books that they werent sure if they had. But they ran and looked them up and other titles by the same authors. It was a great experience.

I’m used to shop at the Barn and noble across from Oakland mall because of the bus situation for 140 smart bus. I love this Barnes and noble. I had to admit, the store is bigger than the Troy location. I live around Detroit couple mile away from Allen park. The only thing that stop me shopping from Barnes and noble in Allen park is that 140 doesn’t run that often and the bus is not on weekends. I like how the staff help me reserve my book and making sure my information is correct. I recommend coming to this location. I want to checkout the Starbucks.plan to come again

Ive been a member of this establishment since in was a kid (when it used to be called Boarders Books lol) you wont be disappointed its very peaceful for folks who dont like loud spaces and it really takes the stresses of adulting away! Its always my #1 place to go to when life becomes too much for me and I need a break (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.).

The store is clean and neat. People wear mask and they’re very helpful to serve you. The cafe is clean and they wait on you pretty quick and the prices aren’t too high. I love shopping here, but please put the tables and chairs back in the cafe. Things are starting to get back to normal and you can still have double the amount of seating while adhering to the six foot rule. I usually come with my teenage daughters and let them browse for a while, and I get a coffee and sit in the cafe with my baby and toddler. I can take the baby out of her carseat so she doesnt get too cranky, but with nowhere to sit, Im stuck just standing around waiting to check out with my older kids. Very frustrating when the 3 existing tables have the same people sitting at them for an hour. Please change this and Ill change my rating.

I go up there every other month or so and pick up new books. Last time I went up before Christmas, I was looking for a particular book and we were having a hard time finding it. Three sales associates turned the store upside down for probably 25-30 minutes and refused to give up. At one point I even told them dont worry about it because they were so busy... but they kept looking and looking and finally found it for me. I really appreciated that, and because of their excellent customer service I was able to find the perfect Christmas gift for a dear colleague of mine. Thank you for your customer service. You went above and beyond, and your dedication made me and even more loyal customer.

The book selection was good and customer service rep was helpful in finding books. However, cashier Matthew H. Was extremely rude. Stood at the cash registered and proceeded to yell continuously for the next customer while we were still looking. Very unprofessional and needs customer service skills improved upon. Completely ruined the entire experience.After reading further reviews, it shows that Matthew has a history of being rude to customers. Especially women (my mom). This needs to be addressed ASAP.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love all the collectibles and novelty items. The Star Bucks serves Cheese Cake Factory Desserts. This is one of my favorite places to go.

I did originally have a good review, but this review may come off as negative. I have no issue with the store itself, actually the staff and cafe are amazing and Ive been going here since I was little! They restock well in many genres, except in the manga section. This section is constantly having books coming in-and-out (and moved in and out) of this section, and rarely ever get a restock. They havent restocked a series (specifically the Seven Deadly Sins manga series) in almost two years, and with other manga series, they rarely ever restock those as well. . . or for most manga there, book one is never restocked and almost halfway through the series is gone. Otherwise with restocking in some book genres, (I dont see the restocking issue with any other genre, mostly just manga for me!) I highly recommend going to this bookstore for any of your reading needs!

To be honest, I dont read too many books, but Barnes and Noble has the best selection ive seen. they have board games, and toys for all ages, you can find puzzles, and even iq tests. Literally my favorite place to buy any gift. You can always find something for someone!

Barnes and Noble on the Hill is an excellent store for all of the bibliophiles out there. What they dont have in stock they will gladly help you track down. My interest in obscure WWII accounts is often satisfied by a quick trip to the Noble.
