Wasted $50 on a boring and cheap haircut that I did not want. Do not go here if you want good layers in your hair. The stylist was nice but she refused to give me the haircut style I requested (politely) multiple times, even though she had just given the haircut to my friend the week before. I showed her the same reference photos and said I came there because I had loved the haircut a lot on my friend, and she did not tell me she was not going to do it until it was too late. Said that in comparison, my hair was too dry and it would look wispy. My friends hair is wispy. Thats the look. Lots of layers. She should have told me that she was not going to give me the wolfcut before she started my hair so that I could have went somewhere else! I ended up buying my own haircutting scissors and doing it myself at home. Looks amazing on me but a little uneven and the trouble could have been avoided if I had gotten anything close to what I wanted. She didnt even give me the face framing curtain bangs I wanted in the front.

I really like this location in Allen Park. Very friendly staff whos always ready to help without being too aggressive. They will ask if you need help and if you say No, they will leave you alone until youre ready and I appreciate that. Great selections and seem to always have what I want in stock.

Manager had an attitude when i asked about a price adjustment due to a clerk error. just asked about it. definitely won’t be back to this location again.

WASTE OF MONEY !!! I went there for a Haircut, Root Touch up and Deep conditioning treatment. The hair stylist was very friendly and polite but thats about it. I spent 105 Dollars and it seemed all I got was root touch up and a trim. The haircut was pretty basic and the stylist didnt even listen or assess my need before deciding herself that shell just trim my hair and ill get out of the salon looking exactly like what i looked before the cut. I expected better services from ulta. i might as well have gone to a local salon and paid much much cheaper price for my haircut and probably would have gotten the same style ! REALLY DISAPPOINTED

Out-of-state visitors. First time visit to this store. I needed to pick up a product called smashbox. Thankfully, it was in stock roughly priced at $39.99. Upon entering the store my partner and I were greeted immediately. The customer service representative directed us to the product and had us checked out within five minutes.

Visited for the first time. This one seems to be larger than the one in Southland mall. My friend and I were greeted right away by a very nice, professional and knowledgeable employee. I didnt catch her name but she was very helpful and we appreciated it! Ill definitely be back.

Really upset about my haircut. I have short, shoulder length hair, and I asked for barely any layers. The woman said she would give me long layers, well nope. There’s a good three inch difference in the layers. I’m 27 with the haircut of a 57 year old. It’s just so ugly. I worked hard to grow my layers out last time. I’m honestly in tears. And I have a wedding to go to.

Alexandra in the salon is absolutely amazing! I have been trying for YEARS to get a specific color done right, and everyone Ive ever gone to has told me they couldnt do it. Well, Alexandra did! Not only did she provide me with a beautiful cut and color, she was also so easy to talk to and made me feel totally comfortable. I will only be getting my hair done by her from now on. I want to start by saying, I purchased a James CharlesX Morphe palette, L.A girl concealers and lip pencils, and some NYX butterglosses. I spent over $100 in this store so I am a paying customer . I wanted to buy Real techniques brushes and two more palates, but my card declined multiple times. Now considering I have 10 times the amount of money I needed on the card, I know it was because of that. I don’t carry cash only card, so my mom offered to use hers. Her card also declined multiple times . We tried this on two registers and they declined. Luckily my mom had cash but only enough to get some of my things. Others had to be put back.The staff where very unprofessional and made a scene about our cards declining. Other workers were coming over as telling us how they hadn’t had that problem and it was just out cards. I knew this was a LIE. It was so embarrassing and they were so loud. It made me feel like everyone was watching us and my mom was just as upset. We will NOT be returning back to this Location .And also, after we left we used OUR CARDs to purchase at other stores and there was NO problem there.Clearly there was a problem with their machines or what have you. Next time will save my money entirely instead of swiping my card until it is locked just to prove a point.Very unprofessional, insensitive, and unnecessary.At least I like what I bought.

I find it somewhat nerve wracking when I walk into a huge beauty store because there are so many options and I never really know where to start so I almost avoid it entirely. I’m so happy I walked into your guys store today because I met Brittany and she seriously is beautiful inside and out. She helped me so much, she asked me what my problem areas were and we kind of have the same and she literally went over so many different kinds of moisturizers/oils and what she’s found works for her and what doesn’t and what other people like too. She had me test a few of them on my hand to see what they felt like and how they smelled. She’s a genuine person and deserves some recognition because you don’t come across people like that anymore. Thank you girl!! I appreciate you!!

Who doesnt love ULTA? This location is the best one. I went in to get some shampoo and conditioner didnt realize there was a sale for the giant bottles so I got the small bottles. The cashier/sales associate not only told me about the sale but took my small bottles and left the counter to get me the giant ones. Just letting me know about the deal was enough, but to go and get the product for me while I was at the register was above and beyond good service.

This store is actually really nice. My complaint is for the salon. They did a few different colors in my hair. It took 6 hours and a decent amount of money. Unfortunately the color all washed out of my hair by the end of the second week and that was washing my hair 2 times a week in cold water. I called to ask what colors they used so I could find another salon that may be willing to re color cheaper and the woman on the phone told me that they don’t disclose products that they use on you even though they keep track of that information. I sent a complaint to HR and they assured me that the salon is supposed to accommodate your requests for product information. The store still hasn’t given me that information though. Not to mention when I got my hair done I was made to wait while the stylist did hair for others which helped to bring my total time in the chair up to 6 hours. It’s just been ridiculous. I don’t recommend their salon. They don’t want you going anywhere else so they won’t share information with you even though it’s your money that paid for the service. Disappointed.

Excellent customer service! I was greeted as soon as entering the shop, and received the assistance I needed to find a foundation that is a perfect fit for my lifestyle. The makeup artist was all around very knowledgeable and gave my friend and I his honest opinions on specific products. This location has a great selection of products from a variety of brands in stock. Would definitely return to shop here for all of my cosmetic needs.

I got my hair done here recently and was very happy with the result. I really like Angela. She was very professional, did a wonderful job, and overall was just an enjoyable person to be around. Highly recommend her services.Now, the store itself is fine. Ive never had a poor customer experience and Im always asked if I can be helped.Most of the time is issue with this store is with customers. This is not a place for kids to run around the store without consequence (granted, they probably let their kid run around anywhere, but seriously people, I dont want to deal with your precious angel screaming and pulling everything off a shelf because YOU refuse to deal with them). Its a public place. You should seriously watch your kid more closely.

You cant use any sample, but a associate will help with matching foundation, if you purchase the wrong shade, you can return it with receipt

Update it’s been months since I reviewed them and it seems the management has made a change in employees. I’ve been there a couple times in the last two weeks and have been greeted and assisted promptly and professionally. I’m pleased with my new experiences at this branch.This is the third Ulta I’ve been too with awful customer service. The workers will ignore and talk down to you. I thought maybe one was just having a bad day but nope all of the ones I spoke with were not willing to answer questions or help direct me. I bought products for a total for $200 and yet I got treated like I do not exist. If I didn’t need to get the products ASAP for presents I would have went to a different store. Really rude staff as well as the Westland and Canton stores. I’m disappointed.

Lauren, the Clinique specialist, is absolutely amazing. Her level of professionalism, knowledge, and how sincere she is made my first purchase at Ulta so worth it. I will be back to this location because of the great experience I had with her.

They are horrible horrible horrible when it comes to check out line. I appreciate their concern to place you on their list, but, when you see 8 people standing in line, they should call at least 1 person to the counter to assist.

I paid $50 for a hair cut that I absolutely hate, worse haircut that I’ve ever had! I should have gone to Great Clips, it would have been $38 cheaper and a better cut. Also, she left me twice to answer the phone, not very good customer service!

Usually has everything I need. Today I went in and purchased makeup remover wipes. Bought 2 in a B1G1 sale, the last two. I paid for everything and at the door when I was giving my daughter one pack and saw that it had a tear in the bag. It took a little work to straighten it out but I went home happy. They are delivering two packs of wipes, to my home, no shipping charge! Cool as hell. I love this store!!

Best place to get beauty supplies and the most amazing hair cut youll ever have. Do not ask for help in the cosmetics. The sales staff needs to be trained in Customer Service 101.

I have been going to Ulta for years, it is one of my favorite stores. I recently just started coming to the Allen Park location more often. The staff is so sweet especially Melina! She is fabulous and doesnt tell you a product to use that she personally wouldnt use or doesnt think is good. I have recently come in and she hasnt been there that often so I will leave because I only trust her to sell me things. She is amazing! Thank you Melina for your Amazing customer service!

I went to ulta with a friend and from my experience, the store was clean and most of the staff were helpful. I cashed out with no problems and my friend called me over to where she was checking out. Right away i could sense a tense situation occurring. The store manager, DAWN was EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful. She was very short and refused to remove an item we had paid CASH for and then offered store credit for the purchase we had made literally a moment before.My whole experience was ruined by this womans extremely sour attitude.

I went to this store to purchase a particular gift for my girlfriend. I had a picture of what I was looking for; the person that helped me was very friendly and advised me that they do not have this item in stock currently, but there is a delivery coming tomorrow and they expect to have it then.Not a problem, I came back in the next day. Again I found the same person, and asked her if they have this item available now. Before she had a chance to answer, another lady that was working the register interrupted very sternly and loudly, saying only Tomorrow!. Apparently the delivery truck had not come in, and it would not be there until the next day.This would have been fine, delays happen. However, the way this other employee interrupted and acted annoyed with my business was very off putting and unprofessional.I have not returned to this store and have been taking my business elsewhere since.

Ulta seems to have lackluster customer service across the board; this store (like many in the chain) has staff that seem disinterested in helping people unless they look a certain way. Store layout is nice, and usually organized. I try to stay away from Ultas retail stores nowadays, but if I have to stop at a brick & mortar store, I visit the Livonia Ulta (much better experiences there.)

I really regret every time I go into this location the sales associates are rude.Terrible customer service. The Manager Daine is even rude than the associates. I called and requested to speak to a regional manager and over a month later Tiffany called and said call the store back that she is a regional manager, and would like to make things right. I am diamond status I am not complaining because I want something free, I dont need it!!! I want this location to be better. When I shop at ulta in Livonia I always have awesome customer service and the manager Crystal is down to earth and helpful.

Had the worst experience here, employees are friendly, but its not enough to make up for what happened. My mom had asked for gray ends with a darker color on the top to cover the streaks that went high. The stylist said she just had to separate some of the hair that wasnt bleached so the bleached wouldnt get damaged (hardest part probably) and bleach it. We thought it would turn out great considering its ULTA... and it was a nightmare. Her hair looked green and yellow and purple. We told her we werent satisfied and she said shed fix it but my mom didnt trust her with her hair anymore. She had stains on her forehead and her hair looked like if it almost had mold. The next morning we went to complain to the manager and she reassured that her employee would fix my mothers hair and get it right the next time, to just cover up for work somehow. My mom went her second appointment and there was NO improvement, only thing that changed was that her hair started falling out now, her ends were split, and her hair ended up feeling like if she had glue on it. So today we went again and said we no longer wanted to let her try to fix it because it was already too damaged. My mom is going to have to cut it now after how long her hair was. They refunded my moms money but THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE from ANY salon.

This is the second time I have had a negative experience at this Ulta. This time, I overheard two employees talking about how annoying and stupid customers are as I attempted to shop around where they were leaning. Same visit, I asked someone else a question, which she answered in the affirmative (I have since discovered that she was incorrect) and then she told me that I could get a different form of the same product if I would just not insist on the color I wanted, Of foundation. Twice bitten. I wont be back. The Ulta at Macomb Mall has much better service.

I love Ulta as a chain, but not this particular one. Its a bit dingy and sad compared to other locations, and is almost always out of the products I need. Every once in a while Ill still give it a shot out of pure optimism, and every time I leave without the items I was looking for. Really unfortunate, as its the most convenient location for me to get to.

I used to be a big fan of ulta, but I would say maybe the last year or so, the customer service has not been good. This one (Allen Park) I recently attended, and I wasnt greeted when I walked in. Nor was I greeted when I checked out of the line. Some of the workers, look as if they would rather be doing anything other than their job. I probably wont be going back anytime soon.. Tip: Work on customer service skills, if not we (customers) will go where we feel appreciated..

Ish did a wonderful job with makeup for my daughters wedding, but Im extremely disappointed with the other service I paid for.It was $35 extra to have eyelashes applied by one of the female stylists, and they looked great. HOWEVER, my lashes were applied at 2:30 on Sunday and all of them had fallen off by 11 am Monday. I had only gently washed my face with water, no cleanser, patted dry, and had done nothing that should have dissolved the glue.Im very unhappy with this outcome and feel the lashes should have lasted at least a week.

A person who identified herself as the manager was the most rudest and unprofessional person I have ever encountered anywhere. I was looking at some makeup which was incorrectly labeled so I wanted to look at the actual product to ensure the correct purchase and she stormed over being extremely rude and confrontational about opening the box. I showed her the incorrect label and she continued to be rude and stated purchase it or get out. Needless to say I will never shop at this store again in Allen Park. Her behavior was totally uncalled for and she refuesd to identify herself when I told he of my intention to make a complaint. I dont know if she was actually the manager or just a liar but because of her Ulta has lost a regular customer for life.

I exclusively go to Ulta, and THIS particular Ulta, for all my beauty needs. The store isnt perfect. I know the sales people are there to sell me a product, but I wish there was a bit more consistency of opinion. My ONE complaint is that no one can point me in the direction of a great facial product aimed at dry skin. That said, I am a regular customer and will continue to be. Sign up for their rewards! Totally worth it.

Very comfortable environment. Right when I walk in someone askes if I need assistance. If i say no, they leave me in peace to shop. The reason i gave 4 🌟 is because theyre display makeup brushes are really dirty.

Smaller than most of their other locations normally are, and the layout was a bit more tight for shopping in as a result, particularly when its busy in here this is more noticeable.The staff here were all exceptionally nice, however, and very proactive in trying to help anyone who came in the door.

I am at Ulta frequently, and love the variety and product selection. This is not my home store, but I visit this location several times a year... However, the Allen Park store always turns out to be a disappointment. No matter how pleasant the shopping experience, the trip is always tarnished by one cashier in particular, who acts as though your business is an inconvenience. I have interacted with her on multiple occasions, and am always put off by her attitude.

Went to ask for Charles James palette, was told its sold out everywhere without checking the system. The guy with tatoos was really rude. I came home looked at the availability, and the product is available at quite a few stores. I am planning on driving to a different location and getting it.Guys we are not asking for free stuff, and the reason you are working in store is to help customers, otherwise online shopping is the way to go. This type of behavior is not acceptable. I can understand if you are having a bad day, if so take a day off. Dont take it out on customers please, its not polite.

I come to this location because its close to my work & most of the staff is super friendly. However some of your employees should be asking for the customers phone numbers for rewards points, if they have coupons. Not just standing there looking at you after they ring your stuff up like its a self checkout.. This isnt Wal-Mart!!

I have never been so upset with my experience as I was today. I went into the store looking to try a new brand of foundation and when asking to be color matched the employee said one minute and went and got someone to help. The employee looked over at me and began whispering to the other employee (totally making me feel uncomfortable). The employee had an attitude the whole entire time making me second guess my entire purchase. Not to mention, standing in line and having the cashiers allow customers to cut back to the front of the line because if they bought one more product there was a deal. I dont mind standing in line and waiting for 20 mins, but when multiple customers keep getting out of line and cutting back to the front it is a little disappointing. For as much as I spent today and the lack of service received I will not be returning.

I went to go get my brown hair highlighted blonde and left with black hair. Rebecca was my stylist and I had the worst experience ever. If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I went back there the next day and they did nothing to accommodate my horrible experience. I wouldn’t even trust them to dye my hair again.
