Food was very good! My wife and I really enjoyed eating everything, and it smelt great as well.The Chicken Tikka was delicious! I hate when you go to various places and there is not enough sauce, but this had plenty and tasted just right. The Naan was defiantly homemade and very fluffy and light. Perfect for dipping in my sauce. My wife LOVED the samosas and i have to admit they were good, even though it is not my favorite thing.The ONLY complaint we had was with the Chapati. It was an actual tortilla and not a Chapati. It tasted good, but did not have the same consistency that we normally have at other restaurants. It was only $0.75 for it, but still a very small complaint.Will def go here as the pick up was super quick and easy, and a nice break from some of the other meals that we have been dining upon.

I have tried many different restaurants in this area and this is honestly the best biriyani I have ever had in my life.The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I can shop for meats that are hard to find in other markets like goat and king fish steak .No matter what I order it is always amazing and I receive healthy portions that I can last 2 to 3 servings for me. I highly recommend the king fish biriyani.I’m so happy I stumbled upon this restaurant it is amazing!

I have never seen any business who treats their customers like they do. They dont care at all. You cannot complain about the quality of the food or their service. I have been to their place many times only because all other Indian groceries are at least 20 mins away from where I live. They have crossed the limit. This business does needs to seriously think about how they treat their customer. They are extremely rude and cannot take complaints at all.

I love this place. Everyone is always friendly. The man at the register always talks recipes and spices with me when I go in to shop. They have the best prices on spices. When daughter visits from Seattle she always stocks up because the spices are so good. NO ONE HAS EVER BEEN RUDE IR DISRESPECTFUL TO ME.

Having lived here in Allen for the last 3 years, its comforting to know that theres an east Indian grocery store right up my street.I usually run over whenever there is a need for anything and so far Ive not been disappointed. Theyve stocked everything and more.As for the cleanliness, I did read a few comments about it....... I walked into the store on a Saturday morning (when it just opened) The cleaner was bleaching/scrubbing all the floors and could see extensive cleanup in progress.I have not tried their prepared food from their menu, only because I cook a lot of Indian food and prefer take out elsewhere. I have however tried their Dosa batter and have been purchasing it for the last 1.5 years. It has never failed. Always fresh and amazing.The service has always been on par. The owner there has always been there every time Ive walked in, I find him very helpful, polite and respectful.

I stumbled across this place while I was in the area and Ill definitely be heading there more often. The store was spacious and I found everything I was looking for. The owner was super sweet and welcoming and even sent me home with some veggie food to try. It was delicious and I cant wait to go back and more. 😋

Most dysfunctional and disorganized place. The only good item available is their samosas. I have waited for 10 minutes at the cash register just to pick up samosas while trying to keep my 2 year old from creating chaos. This is not the first time this has happened to me here. The wait times are horrible even if you order way ahead on the phone. They seem to be always working inside the canteen trying to un-mess a messed up catering order. I blame myself this time for repeatedly ordering their samosas and getting treated like a dog...again.

This place is just down the street from my home so I often order food to go and pick up. I have shopped in the store and this is my favorite place to buy any cooking spices.The people there are always sweet and kind. I have eaten Indian food from various places and this one is my favorite. Their somosas with tamarind or mint chutney is amazing. The kids love Butter Chicken. I have ordered just about everything and I have no complaints.Try grabbing a can of mango pulp, plain yogurt, and cardamom from the grocer to mix at home and make mango lasses. The owner told me how when I fell in love with the drink they make at the restaurant.

I live in Allen and this is one of two Indian groceries near me. I have been coming here for more than 3 years. This used to be my favorite Indian store because the owner was very friendly and they served delicious Indian cuisine. But after the new owners the quality has degraded. The place is usually dirty. I recently tried their weekend combo meals but its not worth the price. The taste of the food is below standard. Tastes really bad. The person on the front counter is extremely rude to the customers. I do not recommend this grocery store / catering.

This is a very popular Indian take way / grocery store. It is a family owned business so the customer service is always top notch. The food is always good. They serve authentic South indian cuisine. Their snacks and the lunch specials on the weekends are a must try.

We live near by and used to go for grocers frequently here at Spice Mart. My family like the food and snacks available here especially my son loves vettu cake :) The meat selection is good, frozen fish varieties etc. The place is neat and the owner is very friendly and supportive in every need of customer. I have recommended to my friends before and they used to come all the way from Frisco and Plano area to Spice Mart. I would definitely recommend it. I wish to have a great success in your business and cherish the customers.

I always have a good experience at this place. Their samosas are one of my favorite and I am glad to see their menu is expanding which will include Mediterranean dishes like Shawarma and more. I have always find the ‘gentleman’ behind the counter very professional and pleasant with a smile on his face. And so does his family member. I would definitely recommend their business especially their samosas.

They did not provide napkins with our takeout orders. I asked them if my food was warm and they confirmed that it was warm. In about five minutes we ate our food but it was very cold. I felt like I was cheated. They were rude and lied to their customer. It was my first and last time at that store. Extremely dissatisfied!!! If there was an option for zero rating I would give them 0.

I went there for several times to pick up my food. The person on the cash register is not nice at all. He does not like to answer questions. My recent order was a chicken curry and it tasted like chicken in tomato soup. I tried to explain about the food over the phone but he didnt care. I am not ordering food from this store any more. The price is reasonable but the store is kind of dark n dirty. Found some frozen fish packets were expired. This place has a potential but needs to throw away all expired items and make it more brighter and cleaner and make it more welcoming.

This place is both Indian grocery store and a restaurant! Before ordering some lunch, we checked out the grocery store. There is an aisle entirely dedicated to spices, which is impressive. When I need some unique spices, I am definitely coming here. They also have a vegetable section, frozen food section, and a meat section which I was told is fairly new. After talking to the staff, they mentioned the store recently expanded so they are going through some renovations at the time, but they should have their store 100% up and running fairly soon.

We tried the Vishu Sadya from this place . It was very authentic with lists varieties. Its been a long time since we had such fresh and delicious food from a restaurant . I would recommend Spicemart for traditional South Indian Kerala cuisine. Please don’t miss those special occasions like Vishu.

I was pleasantly surprised with the store size and the spread they carry. But I wasn’t impressed with the store cleanliness and shelf life of duck meat we bought. The duck that was sold by the store on 9/23/20 was packaged in February 2019. It was more than 18 months old meat. I didn’t know how safe it was to eat. So I checked USDA and found that it was safe without taste alteration within 6 months of freezing and in anyways the maximum time they recommend is 1 year. Generally duck meat is not fast moving and these grocery shops do not discard it in a timely manner and hence, keep them indefinitely. So please check packaging date before you buy packaged meat from Indian stores.

Bought about 10lbs chicken and as I come home and open the trays it smells bad. I used to love this small deshi store but now I am not sure I would be going back there.

I’m a resident of Allen and this store is close to me. I have tried to not write a negative comment about this store for a long time, but recent experience at the store has made me write this review. The new owners are extremely arrogant And rude and the quality of service and the taste of the food they cater has become really really bad. Their weekend combo meals are extreme bad examples of Indian cuisine... they need to stop offering low quality food and Below standard customer service.

Would have given a 0 star rating. They sold me an expired drink and when i went back and complained they made it seem like it is my fault i picked an expired drink from the rack and when i said what if i fall sick as i already drank half of it and he started laughing and said it is just a matter of 2 bucks.

I can cook better Indian food by watching youtube then what they are selling. The place is dirty and the customer service is terrible. They are very rude to customers. I strongly recommend everyone to avoid this store.

Wow where do I start, so the food is AMAZING! I had Butter Chicken Masala, rice, and garlic Naan, and vegetable Samosas and this is the real deal. I had a very pleasant conversation the gentleman I spoke with in the store. I highly recommend that you give them a try. I will for sure go back again.

I had a very bad experience. I asked for napkins with my to go order but they said they dont have it. Very bad service. The food was cold and the taste was bland. The gobi tasted bad. Biryani rice was awful. Ill never go to this place again. I do not recommend this place. Waste of money.

I often purchase my spices and rice from here. I’ve always appreciated the availability and prices. The owner is always friendly and helpful with fantastic attitude.Today, I tried chicken tika masala with side of rice and chicken saag with rice, both were absolutely delicious. The spices were just perfect and not over powering. I highly recommend this place. Try it if you have not.

Spice mart is my every week stop to get all in one shop. I love their meet shop, its fresh and have many varieties and they also have frozen fish and dried fish. i love their indian snacks like beef cutlet, parupu vada and medhu vada.

Our family orders out a few times a month from here. Definitely the best Indian food in Allen, TX! The naan is on point. Kids love the butter chicken. Great chutney, and dosas - and I’ll never make my own raita again.We’ve lived here for years, hate that we didn’t try this place sooner!

We stumbled upon the Indian food here because of UberEats and our craving for Indian one night, and we cant get enough! Weve ordered it for multiple out-of-town family members and they loved it too! The flavor is SO good, and it is somehow still steaming hot even when we get home. We definitely recommend SpiceMart, as it is easily one of our go-to take out places now!!

The food and service was great until the new management. Now a very rude guy at the front counter. If you are from Indian Heritage you know their food is bad and the service is beyond acceptable. He seems to be in the business only because of the ratings and reviews of previous owner and most of his current customers seems like they are from online services like doordash, grubhub and restaurantji who are misleaded by their 4 stars reviews from previous owner .

I am a local business supporter. I would not give someone a one star review unless their food and service was bad beyond imagination. This used to be my go to place before the management was changed. Previous owner was so nice and his chef was good as well. But now since the management changed, the male cashier or possibly the owner at the register is the most rude person I have ever met in my entire life.I gave him enough chances by supporting his business but he is such an undeserving human being. He is still in the business with that kind of attitude only because of his online and catering customers who are here because of the ratings and reviews from previous owner. Most of his customers dont deal with him in person but gets food from doordash and other online delivery. Poor customers dont even know his food is not good indian food. He does not have good reviews from Indians because this is not good Indian food. Check for yourself by sorting the reviews. All the good reviews are from Non indians, bad ratings are from Indians and some good ones from Indians are from long long time ago before the management changed. If google deletes reviews and ratings from the previous management then he wont even have one desi customer. Seriously, food and the service both should be below one star rating. This man does not deserve the locals supporting him who has such arrogance and serving low quality and awful tasting food. He is cheating our locals in Allen mainly because there is no competitor nearby in East Allen serving Indian food. Please get Indian food from Plano, Mckinney or West Allen. I can’t stress enough how food and service here is unacceptable and lowest grade possible.

This is the most flavorful Indian food you can get in Allen. We love just about everything on the menu, but our favorite is the butter chicken. Note that most dishes will be on the spicier side.

I just went in to pick up an order I placed over the phone.The person at the cash register wasnt at all nice.I asked about a salad or some kind of sauce to go along with the chicken biryani I ordered, and he didnt seem to like the question I asked,plus I mentioned that the price I saw online was cheaper than the one he charged me with, he was disrespectful about it.I noticed from the phone call that he wasnt a respectful guy, and he assured it when I met him.I hope the food is better than the customer service.

Ever since I discovered this place about 1 month ago, I have been coming every weekend for the combo special (only avail (Fri, Sat, Sun)) which includes biryani rice, 1 veg and 1 non veg dish. The veg dish changes weekly and the non veg dishes are usually chicken masala and chicken 65. I have not tried many of the other dishes on their menu since I like the combo and not bored of it yet but I expect the other items on the menu to be just as delicious.

I wondered into this store today not really knowing much about Indian food. The owners were so kind in explaining stuff to me and helping me with cooking ideas. I had a wonderful experience! I will definitely be back soon!

Great service. The staff is very attentive and made our food right away.The food tasted authentic. Well-seasoned and delicious. The chicken biryani and goat curry are not just the best Indian dishes I had, I think they are one of the best dishes period!  I cant wait to return and explore other dishes cooked by the same people.

We ordered our food with Uber Eats. They gave the wrong order to the driver. We called the restaurant and they sent out someone with food. That order was also incorrect. When I called back (now 2 hours after we ordered our food) they wanted to send food to us a third time. I declined and asked for a refund. They said they did not want to provide a refund for the three items that we actually got. The food was at this point stone cold. Instead of thinking of customer service and apologizing they nickel and dimed me over the few items we actually got that we ordered. The food was probably very good when it was warm, but the customer service is terrible.

This review is long overdue! What can I say? There were 400 hundred people AND PLENTY OF DELICIOUS FOOD. We absolutely could not have selected a better caterer! Everything was wonderful, the food, the service, THE CHEFS!, the bar attendants. SpiceMart was so easy to work with, making it easy for our family! Live food counter was awesome!

This is a really great family owned market. I went in with my Mom who has lived in India and the owner was so kind and even took her number so that she can see about getting some specific goods from India for her! That is just going way above on customer service and it was wonderful! I also believe in supporting out local family run businesses and this is a great one to go to.

Most of the Indian food that I’ve had since I’ve moved to North Dallas has been over-priced and lacking in quality. SpiceMart, on the other hand, makes great food with good prices and nice sized portions. I will definitely come here again!

Just moved into the area so I was excited for this grocery store! Went there and the vegetables did not look fresh at all. They had peanuts out and I tried one to see if they were good or not and they were superrrr old. The buffet food didn’t look fresh at all. I ended up leaving to look for another place!!

This is our go-to place for Indian takeout!! They have the BEST Chicken biryani, and we also always get the chicken tikka masala. Prices are good. Love the free authentic Indian tea/chai that they always have available ;) My husbands parents are from India and they love the food here as well.

It is very close to where I live so its convenient quick stop for urgent needs, but most of the times I cant find a few things. They dont carry all the items like other bigger stores. Also once I went in the back section to get potatoes there were too many mosquitoes, some also bit me. Last time the person at the check out counter told me that they are remodeling the place and will have many more items. I am looking forward to it. Oh they also have a restaurant in there BTW. Havent tried that yet.

I had the pleasure of having some Malabar chicken biriyani catered along with a couple other dishes. The chicken was plentiful, moist, and perfectly spiced. The food was delivered HOT and on time and the service was great. I look forward to trying the lamb biriyani. Will recommend to family and friends. Well done Spice Mart Allen!
