Very very nice people. Found what I was looking for. Howard and his lovely wife are very helpful.

I have a 35 year old Deere mower, needed belts, these people went above and beyond to find the right OEM belts. They put in over a half hour of research, most of the staff got involved in some way, it was actually fun to watch such tenacity. Great experience all around.

The young guy it parts was very helpful. However since I didnt have a mask the old timer in from asked me to wait outside to be assisted. It was 12 degrees out side.

While Ive had my fare share of good and bad experiences with Gambles, ultimately everyone makes mistakes, but what makes me come back time and time again is their will to continue improving their customer service, mechanical support, and other services. We have an old craftsman ride on lawnmower and they were the only place in town with a good selection of blades that would fit.

Parts department was very helpful and were able to find the parts needed for my quite old weed eater.

Gambles was very accommodating and did an amazing job tuning up my riding lawnmower, at a fair price. Everyone was friendly, and I recommend gambles to anyone needing their service.

Went into the store to get a part without a mask two guys sitting in the store with mask on told me they couldn’t help me inside if I didn’t have a mask told him I had a breathing problem can’t wear a mask they said they could help me outside but yet they going to require you to wear a mask but yet both of them sitting 3 feet apart how can you enforce a mask when you can’t even follow social distancing sheep sheep sheep

Great place for yard, garden, snow machinery. Good line of chain saws. Very friendly and cordial personnel. Great service department and delivery on most orders.

I have only dealt with the Service Department which are top notch and VERY, VERY, Helpful, I would say they go way beyond the call of duty. I also buy my repair and tune-up partsu mowing blades and the what-not from them at Gambles when needed, which I might add are cheaper than, so fare, any of the Big Box stores. My experience as a customer for the first time to Gambles in Alpena was great!!! I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door by a member of the staff who was friendly, knowledgeable and eager to assist me. I told him I was interested in finding a suitable lawn sweeper as an attachment for my John Deere D140 lawn tractor. He led me to the recommended application for my equipment and explained quite clearly what were the strengths and limitations of it and the alternative equipment that I was looking at. Most important to me, he gave me the courtesy of not pressuring me to make any purchase what-so-ever.I think it is partly that their products basicly sell themselves once the information is presented. Additionally, Gambles is not just a retail outlet but is a full service dealership and, as such, the staff has a strong depth of knowledge about their product lines, proper application and best practices.Once I made my decision, the person at service desk was just as knowledgeable and friendly as the floor rep. She apprised me of all the services that Gambles provides to its customers such the details of their maintainance program and such as free pickup and delivery of equipment to be serviced by them. I noticed, too, that other customers were being treated the same way as I had been. I am pleased with my purchase, pleased with Gambles high standard of service and pleased with the fact that there is John Deere dealership so close to home. I felt as if each of them was proud of their track record as a business, cared about my needs as an individual and knew that good service is what makes for a happy repeat customer.I highly recommend them as a John Deere dealership and will happily return to Gambles with future business myself.
