Dealership quoted me close to $5,000 for repair of my vehicle I took it to b&g for a second opinion and now my vehicle is being repaired for $700. Be careful when dealerships quote you on more than your car is needed and make sure and get a second opinion to verify that things arent being repaired that do not need to be repaired. I highly recommend b&g for this service or just go there first.

These guys are fantastic, seasoned veterans of car repair. Ive had my cars repaired by Bill for the last 12 years and he is always a joy to work with, as is Gary and Kenny and Merrick. These guys are not in the business of upselling which is very refreshing. They will tell you what is wrong and how badly it needs your attention so you can decide.

BG Autocare is the perfect place to take your car. I’ve been going here for general maintenance and oil changes for about 3 years now. Recently, my car had a factory recall and while it was at the dealership getting the recalled airbags replaced, the dealership came up with a list of $2500 worth of maintenance they said my car needed ASAP. I brought that list to the guys here at BG Auto and they took a look at each item and my car for no cost, then told me all they recommended was a $30 cabin filter. The dealership had listed things such as a “severely leaking axel seal” that these guys were able to take one look and call bs. There were no leaks!!! When I picked my car up, they gave me an estimate for the other general maintenance the dealership wanted to do, but BG but recommended waiting to do those things for another 30k miles! The quote they gave me was $700....less than half of the stealership! Long story short, trust this place with tour car needs.

I have used BG on a couple of Occasions. They replaced my alternator and replaced my radiator as well as some old hoses. Their prices are unbeatable and they are honest. They have never tried to push unnecessary repairs on me. They are quick and efficient and have always gotten me in same day.

My car had been sitting for several months and would not start. A local mechanic could not determine the problems nor get it to run. BG Auto Care had me on the road in a day and the quote was very reasonable. Have returned for an additional repair (blinker fuse) and was in/out in a hour. I highly recommend this shop.

Oil Express and the Ford Dealership tried to convince me that I had multiple leaks in my 2015 F-150 with less than 60k miles. This was going to cost $4,000 at the Ford Dealership, so I wanted a second opinion. BG looked at the truck and found that it was purely a sloppy job by Oil Express and they splashed oil as they poured it. These guys are straight-up and honest. Very few shops like them anymore!

My mom is in town because I am about to have a baby and her car had a notice come up about low tire pressure and we needed to get it looked at close to my house and we found BG Auto Care. I have had great experiences getting my car serviced here. I heard of them because a family friend had been using them for years and were pleased with their work. It didn’t take me long to figure out why! I was told at another shop that I was going to need new brake pads. I told them what I needed, they took my car back and by lunch they called me saying that I still had good pads to use and to come back in a few months. Up to that point, I had never had a car place tell me work wasn’t urgent. Next, my starter went out. We didn’t know what it was at first, but they figured it out promptly. Installed a new one for a great price. Unfortunately, it turned out the starter installed was faulty. They didn’t skip a beat. They got a new one and stood behind their work and replaced it and covered labor for the new replacement starter. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about handling yourself when life happens. Moral of the story, I trust them and I highly recommend them.

Great general repair shop that can handle the big repairs as well as a much larger franchise shop! Quality work is all Ive had experienced here and Im glad I found them. Get in line early, the only job Ive ever heard of being turned away is because of crowded bays and too many ahead the new customer. I have new Lexus and tired of paying the dealership prices for the services. A friend of mine suggested that I take my Lexus to Bill st BG so I did and Bill was very nice and accommodating. He printed out what exactly was involved when doing my service for my car at 1,500 miles along with what the price would be to perform this service. I left my car, Bill called me around lunch time to tell me the car was ready to be picked up. I questioned him and asked did it need anything else? Bill said no everything looked good, so I had to ask him again. It doesnt need anything else? He said no again and asked me why I would ask him that question for a second time? I said every time I take it to the dealership they tell me I need a cabin filter for $200. He paused for a second and said no do you smoke in the car or have you been smelling something in the car that smells out of the odanerry? I replied no but told him that every time I take it into Nalley they call me to inform me that I need a new cabin filter and it should be replaced now. He replied saying we look at the cabin filter when doing a major or minor service and also blow it out with compressed air he said yours looked fine but when we do the 30k service we will look again and possibly it might need to be replaced at that time. I have confidence in this shop and know they have the knowlage to service my high end luxury Lexus. Nice tot find an honest shop that knows what they are doing so close to my house. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Bill and his team at BG Autocare for servicing their car honest compadent at a fair price. Give them a shot tell them the guy in the Lexus recommended them! 😁

Honest knowledgeable mechanics are hard to come by and Bill and his crew are both. Have taken my 2016 Fusion as well as my 1972 C10 pickup and they did a great job on both at a very fair price. Highly recommend!

Dropped in to have a mirror I bought off eBay installed on drivers side after I hit a post, Bill took it in and had it done in 15 minutes and charged half what the competitors down the street wanted to charge. Excellent work at an excellent price!

Great Experience! Two hours from home, we showed up at BG Autocare at 4:45 on a Friday afternoon thinking we would get the were about to close speech.What we received was smiling faces and professional service. People that have been in the service side of business for years, know their stuff and actually care about you as a customer. Just wish they were located on our side of town. Highly recommended!

I have used this mechanic twice now. Excellent results in both cases. The first time I had a busted radiator. The Infiniti dealer estimated $1,700.00 for the radiator repair and cautioned that I would likely also need other work, like the radiator thermostat and hoses. So I was expecting a bill from them that would be well over $2,000.00. BG Auto Care did the job for under $200.00, same day, two hours. That was 30,000 miles and 3 trips to Florida ago with no problems encountered. The second repair at BG was a replacement of a bad wheel bearing this week. For days, I could hear and feel all the symptoms of the wheel bearing going bad and I knew what it was from past experience. I was driving by BG Auto Care so I figured I would stop in and see if I could get on the schedule, maybe the next day. They said leave the car with us. It was done in an hour and a half, excellent price as well.

Have had both vehicles serviced at BG. Very pleased with the work, no high pressure add ons, prices are very fair for quality work.

Took my vehicle there because it sounded like a cylinder was missing. 2x I brought it here, Charged me $1400. Still didn’t fix the issue. Brought it to Herberts on Castlebury and it was fixed in 2 hours. All it was was a igniter on the back side of the engine.

Much like a visit to the doctor, taking ones car to a mechanic can be an anxiety inducing task. If, like most people, attempting to figure out what is wrong with one of your most valuable assets makes you feel as if youre diagnosing yourself with whatever WebMD decides best suits your symptoms (which in my case is almost always cancer) then BG Auto Care is the Johns Hopkins for your vehicle. I am often hesitant to enstil my trust with some mechanics due to the unfortunate horror story one often hears regarding someone ripping someone else off etc. Luckily, thanks to Bill Gowdy and the guys at BG Auto, I never have to feel that feeling of skeptical helplessness. They are honest, forthcoming, reliable and most of all knowledgeable. And best of all, even given the most unfortunate circumstances for whatever hunk of metal I bring to them, my bill never even comes close to resembling what I own the Doctor after my body breaks down due to poor maintenance.
