Had tint performed here. The guy did not wash the back window before applying tint. You can see the outline of the sticker that was on the window.In order to make an appointment for window tinting you have to leave a deposit. Only takes cash, no credit cards.

Normally this place is fantastic. I have to assume this time was different because it was an old car. A 93 Corvette if you need specifics.Anyway, the story goes like this. We brought the car to have a stereo, keyless entry, and remote start installed. Nothing extravagant, just something that sounds nice. Gary presented us with a few options and we chose the $3,800 version. This got us everything that we wanted. We thought. We said that they could keep the car for the week as it was most convenient for our schedule. It ended up staying for two weeks due to the fact that there was an issue with the lock actuators in the doors. So, that certainly eliminates a time crunch as an excuse as to what follows.Once we got the car home and I sat in it for a bit, I discovered that I could not make the radio sound the way I had thought it should. I wasnt asking for rock concert or sound studio quality. We just wanted it to sound as good as the factory radio in our Chevy truck or my wifes Porsche. It was not close to either. We also discovered that the keyless entry and remote start did some crazy things with the pop up headlights. For those of you that remember those, theyre hard enough to keep working without the alarm actuating them 10 times every time you remote start the vehicle.I emailed Gary about my concerns and he said that they could be fixed. I called the shop and talked to Mike about setting up an appointment. I tried to do this via email with Gary but correspondence all but ceased after we had paid the bill. I drove up the following Saturday for Mike to reprogram the alarm. While I was talking to Gary a gentleman with an Aston Martin walked in and Garys attention immediately went to him while I was mid-sentence. This irritated me a little bit, but I let it go. I then decided to walk out back and talk to Mike about how I hoped it would work. He was not interested in discussing it.Once the rich guys left, I went back up front to talk to Gary about the radio quality. He came outside and checked some settings. Once I conveyed what I was trying to do, he presented a few options. I told him I would think about it and let him know.I then traveled home to find out that when you unlock the car, the radio comes on and stays on until you open the door. In what world is that right? I only noticed because the antenna extends now when you unlock the car. After that, I was going to install two new dash panels. Remember, the car is just about 30 years old. Once I pulled the dash, I had discovered that the radio had been glued in. I understand that needs to happen sometimes. What I dont understand is why it was done so poorly. So poorly that the brackets had come right off. Ill try to attach pics.Very long story short, Ill need to spend some time fixing the radio install. Ill then need to go find a Viper shop to reprogram it to work properly. Weeks of time, money, and aggravation.Again, normally Benchmark does great work. This just wasnt the car for them I guess. Im thinking a little more attention would have been paid to the Aston Martin. I hope so anyway.

Even when they ran into a slight bump in progress, they kept me informed and completed the task. They will give you the best information to help you make a balanced decision regarding your project. Price is way too inflated. Everything there is over the top. Can just go 15 minutes to Johns Creek, for the same thing for more than half the price

I had a subwoofer installed this morning and I could not be any more satisfied. If I have another need for sound works in the future, they have my future business. Amazing work and the system sounds wonderful.

I was quoted $225 by Mike for my fog light install. I purchased LED bulbs and had installed them in the fog light housings already. When Mike quoted me the price, he told me how they do factory clean installs unlike other places that do a sub-par job.Fast-forward to when I was picking up my car. I came to find out that not only was it NOT a factory clean install (the wiring had been hacked), but my fog light bezels were also glued on without my permission. I was then told that the bezels might even fall off while driving my car home since the glue wasnt dry yet. As a result, I had to drive home with blue tape around my bezels (see attached photo). I was also told that they cant promise the glue will hold...Next came time to pay, my price was $270 instead of the quoted $225. When I asked Mike about it (at this time he was pissed for some reason and it was apparent), he claimed that the extra charge was for the LED bulbs. I mentioned that I had purchased and installed the LED bulbs prior to bringing my vehicle in. Mike was speechless and did not have the courage to look at me. After a brief pause, Mike finally admitted to the original quoted price of $225.Not only did they NOT do a factory clean install, but they tried to charge me for LED bulbs that were purchased and pre-installed already. Not everyones experience is negative, but such has been mine. Hope this helps in saving some trouble to future customers. Be cautious and get everything on paper.

My sub went out for some reason and I came here to see what was wrong. Eddie was super busy but still came out and took a quick look identified the problem and fixed it. In and out in 5 mins. Great service 👏 highly recommended!

It’s hard finding a reliable Car Audio shop these days, but after being let down by a number of people, I finally found my go-to spot for all of my car needs. The crew over at Benchmark is amazing, but I have to shine the spotlight on Eddie. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with installing my backup camera that another installer failed to get hooked up but charged me $200 for. Eddie also installed a new set of taillights and got my LED running lights working again, and got my radio all hooked up perfectly. I can finally drive my car without having any issues now. I will most definitely be going back for window tinting and remote start services for my car. Look no further than these guys if you want quality work done. Thanks again Gary, Mike and Eddie!

I came in with my Mini’s fog lights randomly flashing on and off. No one could figure out the problem for over a month and a half. Mike looked at my car and figured it out within 30 minutes and completely fixed the problem! I’m so excited that they finally work properly! Thank you!!!! Will definitely come back and refer!

I rarely write reviews but was compelled to do so after my positive experience today. Benchmark installed a backup camera system on my truck several YEARS ago - which was a great experience. The camera stopped working unexpectedly this week, so I brought it back in and they fixed it on the spot - no questions asked! What great customer service! Very pleased with these guys and would recommend to anyone.

Awesome place! Went in for a tune up for the setup I recently rigged up for my 95 Jeep YJ. The guy knew what he was talking about set up everything quickly and I was on my way! Its a super clean shop with great folks behind the counter and will visit them again for any of my future car audio needs!

I had Benchmark install a Bluetooth connection in my 07 corvette about two years ago. My whole sound system stopped working other day. I brought it in this morning because I trusted them. Gary had the shop find the issue and fix. He wouldn’t charge me. Not their fault and I wanted to pay. This is what customer service should be.

This place is awesome. I looked around for awhile to check prices, customer service and and how well they translate car audio language into stupid people language. I told them exactly what I wanted and they gave me several option that would work for me. They never pushed me to spend more money, but definitely gave me options that would cost a lot. They have very high end audio and also some lower ( not bad, but more affordable) audio. Since my installation was going to take awhile he offered to meet me there after hours to drop my car off after work so that it would be done by the end of the next work day.These guys really know what theyre doing, nice people and very willing to work with you.

Had one piece to be replaced on my brake light system. Chevy place wanted $200 (I already had the piece all I needed was it wired up). Pep boys were gonna charge $150 an hour.These wonderful people did the work in less than an hour an only charged $75.00

I had these guys install aftermarket Bluetooth and USB connectivity to my little red Volvo with its floating stack audio system. Very impressed with their service, quality and pricing. Before doing any work, they explain everything to you and then take the time to show you how it works. I would gladly recommend or use them again!!!

First off let me say I have no negative feelings toward the staff or business. This is a purely objective review and I make my comments in light of the fact that I spent almost $14K there. For that amount of money, I expected much more satisfactory results. I had a Mercedes c63s that the guys put in a sound system and Stinger radar detector. The sound system never functioned properly; also, to get the DSP and amp to work the front center speaker had to be disconnected and this overall killed the richness and fullness of sound within the cabin. The JL sub worked well but that was about it. I had to get the system removed eventually because after about a year loud hissing and crackling started coming through the speakers. They couldnt ID the problem so I just had the system taken out. Money wasted obviously. Next, the Stinger radar was a disaster. I had it in the car about two years. It CONSTANTLY malfunctioned. Threw off errors all the time and antennas would disconnect and the GPS worked about 50% of the time. At initial install it actually just completely shut off and would not come on after about a week. Some problem with a fuse. Took it back and it happened again in another week. I bet I kept my car at their shop for a good month total in all. They never could get it working right at all. So based on these experiences alone I have to say they could be doing a much better job on things and have a long ways to go in terms of customer satisfaction. Sorry, BMSW.

Tl;dr: We had some initial difficulty but they followed up and have been very eager to make things right. I wish it it had worked from the beginning but anyone can have an off day and Im impressed with their efforts to make me happy. Interacting with mega-corps can make you jaded about the customer service youre going to get but some small businesses out there are still providing premium experiences.Feb 2015: Benchmark Soundworks installed a bluetooth add-on in my daughters car that will work with every phone except hers. The phone is an HTC One so not an uncommon phone and it works fine with two other car bluetooth systems (those are factory though).The CD player in her car also just happened to break when they worked on it and of course they said its an unfortunate coincidence. Yeah, were not done yet.And we just discovered that theres a piece of chrome missing from the gear shift leaving a half-inch of ugly white plastic exposed.Others seem to have better experiences so maybe just bad luck, but it hasnt been a positive experience for me.Apr 2015: After a long lull (I dont drive the car and my daughter wasnt nagging me) I got a follow-up call from Benchmark. Just the week before my daughter had gotten a new phone which also had issues with the iSimple bluetooth add-on that had been installed. After a brief chat, they’ve been very friendly throughout, they offered to swap the iSimple out for a different system. I was able to take the car in this week and the new one, from USA Spec, is working fine so far. They were also able to get the stuck CDs out though the system still claims there are CDs inside so its non-functional. The plastic piece on the gear shift isnt quite right but they got it to the point where its not really noticeable. Theyve also offered to swap the CD player for a single-disk unit that would include the bluetooth as well as adding an aux jack. Its slightly more expensive but theyd credit the full cost of the current unit.Overall, Im very happy with the way theyve handled this and Ill call them the next time I have car audio needs.
