This store is amazing!!! I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service and all the products they carry. All the workers were very friendly and super helpful with any questions I had. The store is organized and clean. They have a great deli selection where I was offered samples of their products. They also have fresh veal every weekend which is hard to find.

Madurai foods is really a go to place for things authentically Indian and specifically south Indian. At a time of Covid when traveling to places is so difficult, they brought a slice of home back with their authentic rice, millets, lentils and cold pressed oils, all at very reasonable prices. I hope they will be able to continue their services and provide more of these authentic groceries and even more groceries that have been a hard find in USA over the years.

Great selection of beers and wine. The prices are very reasonable as well. Honestly I dont buy groceries here besides little things like cookies or chips. The service is prompt and direct. If youre in the neighborhood, check this place out!!

I take the batters regularly. They are the best. Idly comes out very smooth. I like Raagi dosa very much. Even my baby likes it. Even I took for my colleague and they also love it. I highly recommend this. They are very fresh as per my experience since 1 year. I never found expired or smelly batter. They are always fresh till now.

The owners r grt people. Their all kind of batters r grt tastes when u cook at home. They do have dry chutney poweders . They have all kinds of mellets sold there.

Authentic is all i can say. They just bring what you get in tamil nadu. After buying sona masoori all these days, went here and bought ponni rice and it was awesome

It is a little hole in the wall that sells like 12 things but their batters are the best you can buy. Now, our dosas and idlys taste like the ones we got in India. The dosas come out thin and crispy and the idlys are like moist white pillows. All without the off tastes you get with the powder mixes.You can also buy these at one of the other Indian stores that carry their batters.

The Idli,dos,adai, vada batters you get are fresh and tasty. recently they added vada (medu vada) batter which is awesome.

The best sambhar and idly batter -- always fresh. I have been buying here every week for over an year. My idlis always turn out soft and its a pleasure to eat with Madurai Foods sambhar. Sambhar is freshly prepared with fresh spices and has that wonderful zing. Madurai Foods uses tender drumsticks and tomatoes. The taste is as genuine and has the home-made taste as it says on the label.You also get an assortment of powders that you can enjoy with rice, idly or dosa. My favorite is coriander chilly powder -- it hits the spot.The place is family run and they are very friendly. Strongly recommended.

Hands down the best store-bought dosa batter I have tasted after coming to USA and the best coriander and idli podis ... highly recommend to anyone and everyone from home-food sick tamizhans (like me) to those willing to try and who like south indian food.
