These Folks are ALWAYS SOOO HELPFUL! Despite Im one of the last ones in there, frantically looking for what I need, As kind and polite as anything they, they must see the look on my face, cause they step right in and grab everything i need with out hesitation even suggest I take a picture send it to my boyfriend, just to be sure I have the correct items, Allowing me to act like I know what I was really talking about!To all of you,... Great store for the convenience of not having to go all the way down the mountain to a big city hardware store. Unfortunately, they didnt have everything I was looking for. However, when you live in the mountains you may need to improvise. Which I did. Clean and courteous store. I will definitely go back when needed.

This location is in a strip mall in Alpine, CA. The convenience of having a hardware store next to a grocery store is great. Ace Hardware is a great place to shop for small hardware items - specialty screws, parts & pieces, etc. The staff is very courteous & helpful, will be there for you until you find what you need and/or assist in sourcing it.

Customer service was great. The youth working there, are very friendly, interactive and informative. They look happy and proud to be there. Im so glad I am seeing this in most of the youth who want to work. They are what makes America Great! Great Job!

Paint guy was friendly, and able to answer all my paint questions. He helped us choose the paint for the project.

This store has a lot more than you might imagine. Stihl, Craftsman, Igloo and Yeti products.

Always well stocked, I know when people walk in and see a bunch of teenagers working they think oh boy, I have read some other reviews but disagree these are very friendly well informed teenagers . I actually look forward to going to Ace, saves me a long ride to Home Depot.

Staff is friendly. The store is small though and limited on what they carry. Its a convenient store for a quick tool or nut and bolt but its not a large tool mart. Is also a little pricey as are most shops in Alpine.

Glad they are beginning to keep shelves stocked again. For awhile had to wait 1-2 weeks.

You typically find Ace Hardware in smaller towns and its everybodys go to place when they need something I dont want to drive to one of the big box stores. I expect to pay more for the convenience Im not having to drive to a Home Depot or Lowes. Forget about buying Lumber there but if you need screws nuts bolts and such theres a fine selection. The local Ace Hardware management team ensures that there are plenty of staff to help you find what youre looking for. Of course the selection isnt as big and many times I still need to drive to the Big Box store but they do have a nice selection for their size

Had an issue with a Stihl trimmer (Which I purchased from this location) and the service I received was incredibly good. The service team kept me in the loop and worked with me through all the warranty issues and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Special compliments to the service manager, CJ, who made sure the issues were 110% resolved. With all the stress and issues of the COVID pandemic, it was really great to see customer service still shine at a local retailer. Thank you Ace. You really are the helpful hardware place.

Living up here in Alpine, CA, this little store has most of what I need for routine fix-it type home maintenance. All the staff are very helpful. Their prices are mostly competitive and it beats running 12 miles down the hill to save a few bucks.

Ace Hardware in Alpine has a good selection of what you might need for your project and their prices are competitive. Its much better than driving all the way to Home Depot in El Cajon.

They have a decent selection, although for some things, such as lumber, you have to head down the hill to home depot. My experience with the staff varies, from awesome to arrogant, depending on who you talk to. There is an older gentleman that I always seek out, as he is definitely awesome. The manager, a kid who acts like he knows everything and anyone else is an idiot, should not be employed at all with his attitude, both towards staff and myself. Put the older gentleman as manager and let him hire and fire and I am certian my review would go from 3 stars to 5 stars. Customers are to be treated with respect, not contempt!!! *edited for spelling

Rude and unknowledgeable. No wonder smaller hardware store are going out of business. They hire rude and unknowledgeable people. I wont shop at this stop again. Id rather take my business down the hill to Lowes or Home Depot.
