JCP did not have a good selection in plus sizes. However, they use to. It seems like the store is turning into a clearance store. Theres only one register with one person and a trainee long lines. There was a woman in the ladies section was very nice at all, did not give good directions for anything she just pointed and I guess we were to figure it out. Highly doubt it if I will return to the Altamonte Mall location

Cashier was nice,but the other employes were more interested in talking between them than helping customers.

I always find something, but it takes a little time. I only wish that they had more for bigger, full size woman. They have so much for size small and medium, but when you got to the large and extra large hardly anything. That was disappointing. As far as fragrances you go, they have plenty to choose from. I cant wait to see what I will find next time.

Petite section is old people, it also smelled like a basement. But people are nice.

Service was friendly and great deals and prices on clothing. I appreciated the fact that their fitting room was partially open so I didnt have to waste my time bringing home clothes that didnt fit and driving all the way back to exchange. I had my mask and used my hand sanitizer just to keep things safe.

No signage in store for alerting where pickup was. Store look and feel is outdated. Best part was the associate who at least had positive energy for a otherwise lackluster experience

Man I used to love jcpenney, they still have great prices and a rewards program that is pretty good but it looks like they may end up being a casualty of the malls demise, I mean it was so dead you could hear people breathe!! They should pull out of malls once their leases are up and go into smaller strip malls that are more popular maybe. Shop them while you can. Got these sweet Nikes for $31 I mean common you cant beat that!!

I am disappointed with Penneys. I spent 146.00 an there was a coupon that for every 50.00 you spent you got 10.00 in rewards. I explained to the cashier I should have gotten a couple more tops to make it to 150 before taxes an she just ignored me. When I got home I checked my email about my rewards an I only received 10.00 that is not what the ad stated. This is not the first time this has happened to me. So I will no longer be shopping at your store.

It is so hot in this store. Worker said the AC broke and theyve been working like this for 2 days. Its Florida heat. As a customer Im not forced to stay in the store... but these poor workers are going to die of heat strokes.

They have alot of good brands here, and there were quite a few items on clearance that were pretty nice. I didnt expect to spend anything, but ended up leaving with two shirts and a pair of shoes. All of which was on clearance.

Its very convenient to shop online and pick up in store however almost nothing I want is available without waiting to have it shipped to store. I like that there is close parking to where package pickup is located and returns are very easy, too. I always buy on sales and JCP tends to have great deals that are worth the wait.

I went in the Altamonte store. I am Handicapped, no help no one to help me. I walked trying to buy a birthday present for my mom who will be 90 Wed. I have a cane. I stood by 2 workers talking about there lives, didnt even acknowledge me. I finally went as far as I could got things in the ladys dept. Second floor and went to pay for them. The register was closed. No Helpbut a sign that said go to the mall. Well I cant walk that far. So you can have your things. Your store wasnt friendly. No help, and no register. Plus you do not welcome Handicapped people or treat them well, your salespeople just stared at me and I still have no gift for mom!!!!!.

Horrible service at the jewelry department. I dropped off my ring for repair over 4-5 weeks ago and it was supposed to be ready a week ago. I’ve called many times and people don’t know what they’re doing. Constantly telling me they’ll have someone call me back. I was told this 5 different occasions and still no call back and still don’t have my ring. I’m never buying anything from the jewelry department here again or bringing anything for repair. It is pointless and burglary at this point.

Everything is always on clearance at this place, to the point where the signs in the windows make you think its about to go out of business, but it just never seems to completely fail.Entire sections at the store will have empty shelves at varying times, partly due to discontinuation of an entire departments and then return of those departments in a few months, or replacement with slightly different departments. For example small home appliances looks nearly cleaned out, and theres no real reason for it because it doesnt have much clearance going on. It disappears and then returns in a different part of the store.And the place is kind of junky looking as youd expect a JCPenney to be, although its not terribly poorly organized, just dont expect clothing sets to all be the same size without doing your own matching up, and thats in every single department. The people doing the blocking here are just not all that concerned with accuracy and I guess thats part of the experience and not really a criticism from my standpoint.One problem is that there will be a clearance price and then there will be a sale price based on a certain time period and then there will be a sale price based on a coupon code for a certain time, and then yet another sale price based on a barcode coupon offer you got with your app or in the email they spammed you with. So heres the problem with all that:Good luck having the store register calculate the lowest of those four prices, and by four prices, thats the fewest discounts to apply at any given time. They cannot be stacked upon each other, but then there are exceptions to that also, and when you check out you often have to choose between one discount or the other for the entire order, unless you want the headache of going through 75 items and dividing them into four or six piles based on which coupon or clearance or sale is cheapest, and doing 46 different purchases, one for each pile.So youre not really going to get the lowest price on everything if you do a lot of shopping, and I havent even begun to get into looking up clearance prices on the web and which types of items they will price match the web clearance on and which types of items they will not match, and the fact that theyre supposed to match all of them but you need to drag out a supervisors supervisor, and then her manager, to get them to acknowledge this and adjust all the prices which is usually just a couple of bucks difference on a $300 or $400 purchase, so its just not worth that bother.Some things are really screaming deals, and sometimes the prices are simply much lower at places like Walmart without any coupon or screwing around at the register.The soft lines offer reasonably low prices and decent quality of lower to mid-range brands, and if you can get a properly marked clearance item, and youll do better than most discount stores including all those stores (Ross, Marshalls, Bealls, etc.)which pretend to sell designer brands, but are really just selling special low-end versions with the designer named licensed. You have to be a little picky but actually I think the quality of this JCPenney is better than those types of stores mentioned above. Just not in everything, and not always in price. And remember were just comparing quality for quality here without comparing brand for brand.Theres never a lot of help around, but when you catch someones eye theyll direct you to the right place and theyre reasonably friendly. Check-outs a pretty good experience other than the level of discount confusion mentioned above.Anyway, you get the idea of the gimmick going here. The place always looks like its about to go out of business and has yellow final and clearance signs all over everything as if its an everything must go genuine going outta business situation. But it never is that situation.If you can live with that you can find bargains amongst the chaff. We go there about once a year and usually come up with some treasures.

My family and I arrived 15 minutes late for our appointment due to traffic but they still took us. Our photographer was great with our toddler and very professional. I highly recommend going here!

JCPENNEY cancelled my SEPHORA order from 4/12 today, when they had availability online today. Today when I called Customer Service, they said we can place it again for you, but we cannot guarantee you for this week or next week. I said forget about it as I will order from someone else who is going to get my business.

I love shopping @JC Penny. Thats my favourite department store. I dont shop no other department store. Dont get the sales & the rewards like JC penny. Also you get good quality well fitted clothes & shoes their. I wouldnt give up my JC penny for no where else.

Great mall, but JCPenny is a bit unorganized for my taste.

For many years this was not a store I would shop at but it has changed and this is one of my favorite stores now. Its updated and my son loves their shoe selection. Nice that theres a Sephora at this location too.

This place is horrible. Needed assistance in the shoe department, worker sent me to go hunt down and look for the shoe department lady to later on find out from the Jewelry lady that there isn’t any shoe lady. Got sent to customer service where I encountered Dean, which he was also no help. Made me wait and had someone else “help” me which all she said was attempted to look up the shoe on the website instead of helping me in store. Really poor service and the workers that are stacking up merchandise are rude as well. Horrible experience.

Had the opportunity to take my godson for a photoshoot at this location. Im absolutely in love with the photos. Photographer was so patient and kind. If youre not from this area youll have trouble locating this store because the GPS will drop you somewhere at the mall.

Enjoyed Christmas shopping at Penneys at Christmas time. The prices are always extraordinarily low, especially in the fine jewelry department.

Only one open register on the upper level. We had to walk practically the entire level to stand in line to pay. Should have just left.

I had good discount got about 300 dollars worth of close for 189 dollars most stuff was on sale and what wasnt i got 40 percent off i thought i did good plus i got 30 dollar coupon to spend at chirstmas week plus 20 dollars on my earn points so i did excellent

Worst customer service in history, Im with my 80-year-old grandmother and they closed the store two hours before the mall and apart from getting us out in a bad way, we had to go out the door into the street and it was raining very hard, the attitude of the staff was terrible.

I feel JCPenney is an underrated department store. They carry less expensive brands of women’s clothing like Liz Claiborne, a.n.a. (which may be one of their brands) and Gloria Vanderbilt, but they also carry brands like Levi and Wrangler. I enjoy shopping at JCPenney - the quality of the clothing is good, the fashions are current, the selection is vast, and best of all, the prices are much more in line with my budget😉. As I say, JCPenney is a department store and carries all manner of household items as well as clothing, jewelry, shoes, accessories, linens, dishes - even a full-service hair salon! I was broken-hearted when Penney’s discontinued their catalog several years ago, but online shopping is quite easy. When JCPenney puts items on sale, they don’t play around! I was amazed - and thrilled! - to find the jumpsuit I’m wearing pictured below marked down over 50% to a final price of $48.00. This jumpsuit fit like a dream, was good quality and dressy enough to wear to a wedding. My daughter and mother assumed I had paid waaay more, since before this I had always spared no expense to buy an outfit for a formal event.Bottom Line? I highly recommend checking out JCPenney for any of your department store needs. Good sales, decent merchandise and select? Why not?!

Perfect for mothers day

Cashiers are slow and the lines are long. The cashiers meticulously fold every piece of clothing going into the bag. Such a waste of time and unnecessary, making the lines long and slow. You can’t return or exchange at a register which is very inconvenient and isn’t well communicated. Especially since other stores don’t have this policy. The selection is better than Fashion Square if you have the time to spend waiting in line.

Trash. Too bad JCPenney used to be a decent budget store. This one looks like a battle ground of chaos. Staff is poorly trained and have bad attitudes.

I have been going to the JCPenney salon for 9 months now and Brenda has saved my hair! I was afraid of having to chop my hair off due to service I received at another salon that damage my hair! My curls we’re completely gone and Brenda assured me that I did not have to cut all my hair off to bring my curls back. She was right and after following her instructions and coming to see her every other month my for a trim curls are completely back! Thank you so much Brenda. Anyone looking for a hairstylist at an affordable Salon go see Brenda at JCPenney.

DO NOT buy jewelry here, it’s cheaply made and the protection plans are a joke, I have brought the same ring in for the same repair at least 3 times and they just keep making the band thinner, this time it only lasted a few weeks, not to mention it takes MONTHS to get your jewelry back.

JC Penney have a great selection of everything. It wasnt easy for me to pick out the perfect curtain for my house. I went to multiple stores and JC Penney had the best selection by far. Gabby was amazing, she was very patient with me and she helped me get a great deal, she told me about all the discounts available and I left very happy. Thank you Gabby and thanks to everyone there. Found great Black Friday sales! Everything in the store was at least 50% off or more! The customer service was excellent and lines moved quickly!

Got family pictures done and we have to come back to pick up which I understand. What doesnt make me comfortable is the lack of space to make decisions on pictures that we chose After that we couldnt find any of our sizes for shoes that were in sale.Nobody available to help.
