Amazing place with a great plant selection! From flowering trees, to shade trees, bushes, and fruit trees...they seem to have it all!Some of the staff can be a bit friendlier....but most are pretty nice.I would highly recommend checking them out for trees that are priced very well. We got 3 trees and two bushes for $100!

Good local place to shop, not as big as home Depot or Lowes but they have great selection. They also have a big garden center that you can choose flowers from. I just wish they had more employees to help you around the store.

This is a great place to buy plants. They always have plants that can adapt to the Texas Panhandle. They will try and help you get some unusual plants if that’s what you want. Good people here.

Went in to purchase a stihl trimmer and the two guys in service desk were so rude whenWe asked for help. There is a Hispanic older man with a red shirt behind the desk that I would hope isn’t the manager that got smart with my husband . I would just expect more professional better customer service. We have been shopping here for many years but won’t be going back. Customer service should be a priority.

Store is nice, but they have terrible customer service. The cashier worker just sat there and didnt say a single word. Didnt greet anyone didnt say anything.

The store is somewhat disorganized. Its over 100° outside and they have no AC. How their employees endure that I will never know. I use them for a few things, bus honestly Lowes has a better selection, and a better overall store. Its too bad they have gone so far down hill.

Ive been going to Sutherlands for 30+ years. It was like a small town hardware store, with a good selection and low prices. I loved when they had the Mothers Day sale on hanging baskets, which has stopped. Since theyve been bought out, I have the same complaint with them that I have with the other big box stores. They cater to one brand of each item, which is the higher priced brand. For example, I needed a hole saw, which should have been a few dollars. The only one they had was a DeWalt, which was 14 dollars without the attachment for the drill. I needed a toilet seat, and again, 1 high-dollar brand. I hate to leave, but its goodbye for me. Guess harbor freight will get my business, or online shopping.

Bought a Stihl string trimmer. They registered it, topped it off with fuel, started it and adjusted the idle. Also made sure I had correct string line and fuel. I am very impressed with their level of service!

This was the ONLY place in town that had any single gang boxes for old work. So you know what this is, when you need to add a electrical switch or plug in an already built home, this is what you use to install it.

Had ad for hanging baskets but had none trying to sell you dead ones for sale price now i know why i drive to Lowes!! Sale was 9.95

The outside cashier had a little bit of an attitude but the savings was worth it.

Emily at the counter was very helpful,knowledgeable and just nice in general! Its always super nice to get people that arent there just to collect hours and get a check. She went way beyond what she had to. She needs a raise! I only needed 10 buckets of masonry sand and the least they sold was a half yard. I drive a small SUV and couldnt haul anymore then 10 buckets. They let me pay for a half yard and get my 10 buckets of sand. I know I overpaid but it was well worth it to be able to get what I need! Thanks Emily!

Lady was nice 1st counter in giving directions to aisle, however the gentleman that showed me their hose couplings was very short with me. It was like I interrupted what he was working on.

The store itself is great! They carry a great selection of products for a little more than other chainstores, but is great if you are like me and like to avoid those bigger retailers. I am always impressed with the variety and selection in their lawn and garden section. I do have to say that the customer service needs massive improvement. I frequent this store often due to the convenience; however, I am always amazed at the lack of customer service. I frequently see associates pass by without offering assistance or even acknowledging you. Every time I go to check out, the sales associate doesnt say a word. On my recent visit, the associate was on the phone the entire transaction and didnt even give me a bag for my multiple items. This type of behavior is why I choose to avoid those bigger retail chains. Great products but poor customer service.

Beautiful flowers for your garden. A little bit higher than Lowes and Home Depot but great selection not found at these other locations. Found the grass seed we needed and at a resemble price.

Customer service is gone to the wayside here. Big store with no help nobody knows anything about anything. Lost out on home renovation last year and I will be going elsewhere to finish my large landscaping project elsewhere. Sure miss the old Sutherlands!

Was in that store today for at least 30 minutes browsing in garden center and looking for light bulbs for motion lights.More than one employee walked past us never acknowledged us or asked if we needed help.Very poor customer service in my opinion.So we went to Home Deport on Georgia and was acknowledged and helped right away.

This place used to be better, but they got rid of too much help. Now its too hard to get assistance.Which is too bad, I used to like it here. they have a lot of small items you cant find another hardware stores.

Its a hardware store. As a contractor sometimes we run into situations that require us to use the customer checks or call in credit card number for materials. I understand theyre doing it for the customers safety. Ut there got yo be a way the can help out.. lowes and homedepot both do it.

Some of their prices are actually better than big chain stores. Like the small town lumber store feeling. Employess are friendly and helpful.

I went in to Sutherlands instead of Home Depot to show local business support by purchasing some plants. The lady that was running the greenhouse area kicked me out saying that close at 4. I will not go back. Such a horrible experience of customer service.

I placed an order for a privacy fence. I ordered 16 treated. The sales person instructed my person that 2x4x8 was better. When I arrived onsite, I found that the 2x4s werent even treated lumber. So I wasted 2 hours of my morning loading, returning and picking up the proper (originally ordered) material. The manager offered not expediancy in correcting the order nor an apology.

Dont carry a lot of needed iteams. Many iteams over priced, nice cashiers but older guy behind customer svc counter hates his job & his attitude shows it. Not enough employes in the store to help you. Nursery poorly supplyed & vry rude manager. Lumber yard is a joke to deal with. Only use cause vry close by & Dave the key guy very knowledgeable & nice to dral with.

My wife and i had a bad shopping experience at the sutherlands in Amarillo. We looked around the store for several minutes looking for someone to assist us. The manager wasnt willing to help me find hanging decorations for our garden.

I was checking out and had a female employee ask me to return drill bits. I told her that I didnt have any drill bits. But she kept on asking me to return, drill bits. I ended up going thru the store and showing her exactly what I did. Then she left. So I went back to the check out to pay for my items. When she sends a young male to ask me to return drill bits. And I said I dont have any drill bits. So I empty my pockets to show him that I did not have any drill bits.I felt like i was being accused of stealing drill bits. I spend about $10,000 a year in that store. But I will never step foot in there again.

My husband and I had a horrible experience, we asked two ladys to help us find some flowers and they didnt know a clue about anything especially flowers with is ironic because they worked in the floral section all they wanted to do was sit and gossip and water the cement not the actually flowers, then we asked the manger about flowers, and he got an attitude with us and looked at us stupid when we asked for hanging flowers, we wont be back.

They have better prices then the big box stores and they have products that you have to order at the big stores.

Found what I was wanting right off. Good service.
