A nice hour or so out. They have lots of photo opportunities and some activities for after pumpkin picking. Was a little disappointed with the range of pumpkins this year but we got 3 biggish orange ones, a grey one and another one for decorating. This came to £20 + £6 for entry. Fun for little ones to just run and lots of mud to splash in, so bring wellies or a change of clothes!

A lovely little place, our 2nd visit. Unfortunately this year wasnt as good as last year. We went early, 10th Oct. And there wasnt nearly as many pumpkins as last year, not as many varieties as last year either. I have since heard of many places that dont charge an entrance fee, so may try somewhere else next year, as we are a large family, it costs a fair amount just to entry, plus then the price of pumpkins.

Great couple of hours pumpkin picking, just be careful not to get carried away, its a bit like pick n mix, of you always get more than you plan and its approx £3-£4 a pumpkin if good size, but nice place and people

Lovely little Pumpkin Patch. Lovely choice of colours and sizes.Great facilities with photo opportunities as well as great coffee to give you strength before scraping mud from your boots whilst you berate yourself for not taking wellies.Wheel barrows available for lugging your pumpkins of choice back to be paid for (or 3 year old who refuses to get muddy)

Was a little let down to be honest. I booked online for a time slot. For there and found you could just turn up. Only food was coffee and crepes, burger bar at colchester. Got pumpkins but wheelbarrow very hard to find. Saw a lot of damaged ones.I think you could have done more. Maybe had some stools selling autumn bits and better organized. Maybe next year

Some good photo opportunities and staff friendly but unlike last year not many pumpkins available and very overpriced! And the Pumpkins have already rotten real shame! I’ll go get a cheaper one from Tesco instead I think!

We paid £6 per family to enter this year, for what, I dont know, there was nothing different or anything extra. There was hardly any pumpkins left just some wooden crates with damaged ones in.The price for the pumpkins was very over priced. The queue to pay was so long we saw people dumping their pumpkins and leaving. Its a shame because every year previous we have been weve had a great time.Think we will give it a miss next year.On a positive note the guys parking the cars were really helpful and friendly.

We went on 25th Oct and the whole farm looked like run down. Apart from some pumpkins stored (a hand full) I did not see any pumpkins which are not quashed or rotten. We finally did a photo op by carefully placing the rotten side behind ! Think they should put the daily status in their website . I am sure when they opened end of Sep, this would have been a sight to marvel, but not after a month later

Very disappointed. Went last weekend, when showed our booking confirmation - girl mentioned something like very busy today, we have more people than we expected today- how is that possible? It was pre-booking only??Good choice of pumpkins though (even though we didnt get a chance to buy) but if you want to buy any be prepared to wait in a queue of at least 30 families with only 1 cashier operating. Also note, people dont just buy 1-2 pumpkins, some have at least 10. So it is very slow - so many kids were crying/screaming while waiting in the queue.Definitely not a good place to go pumpkin picking.

Lovely afternoon spent at the pumpkin patch. We enjoyed picking pumpkins (there are some already picked in crates for you) and taking insta photos of course. There was a lovely vibe to the day; families with adorable kids running around in their Wellington boots.I didnt realise I had a email sent from the farm prepping us beforehand as it went to my junk mail. We didnt realise how muddy it was going to be; silly me wore my new suede boots! I would strongly recommend you wear clothes you do not mind getting muddy, wellington boots, bags to place the dirty shoes in when you get back in your car, wipes, tissues and water. We picked quite a few pumpkins and needed a wheelbarrow which is provided at the entrance to take them back to the car. It was fun but a proper workout pushing this through the sticky mud! They have a cabin onsite with hot drinks but we were too exhausted after pushing the pumpkins. Its a lovely place to visit, I would recommend the place to have extra bags and wipes available incase people forget

Lovely place to spend the afternoon; suitable for all. There were families with kids and young couples all collecting pumpkins. It was a fun experience; pushing the wheelbarrow through the mud was exhausting! VERY MUDDY. I recommend wearing Wellington boots and clothes you dont mind getting messy. Also to have bags, wipes and extra shoes when you go back into the car

I booked tickets a few weeks ago for the pumpkin picking on 22nd Thursday I have now just received on Sunday (18th) afternoon that the patch will be closed Tuesday - Thursday and therefore any tickets booked for that day will either be cancelled or have to move to Monday (19th) How can you give less than 24 hours notice before the only available day?! I’m shocked to be told that it has been cancelled and only give ONE other option which I will now not be able to attend. Certainly won’t bother booking again in the future.Has been nearly a month since they cancelled our tickets and I have still not received a refund! Company ignoring all emails about refund. Avoid at all costs!!

Worst pumpkin patch we ever visited. The farm is nothing like the pics..no fall deco, barely anything. Dont understand why they charge an entrance fee just to buy pumpkins!! If you check the website, expect 20% of whats shown. There are a few big wooden crates filled with pumpkins and thats it. No pic opportunities, no activities for kids. . And note that we went when it was sunny, but it was still REALLY muddy!!The pumpkins are expensive too. Their so called large are smaller than the medium pumpkins at waitrose and MUCH more expensive. We bought a ton from them not knowing that pumpkins were sold in stores too and to find out that prices were triple of waitrose prices was hard to swallow.AND they charge an entrace fee ( For what?) which cannot even be redeemed towards purchase of pumpkins.I am all for promoting small businesses and farms.. but this was a ripoff

On the website the wording says we have pick your own pumpkin patches but I believe it would be more accurate to say choose your own pumpkin, because the pumpkins are already picked and sorted into piles on the ground. I was looking forward to actually picking something, like you would with pick your own strawberries, but instead it was more like a trip to the farmers market only outside. On the plus side there is lots of parking and they do have a good selection of different varieties of pumpkin. There are good photo opportunities if you can find a pile that doesnt have too many rotting pumpkins in the middle. It would just be nice if someone would take those away, and I find it odd that no one thought to do that.

Large and pumpkin patch. Lots of parking, although you may have to queue to get in and out because the road its off is only 1 lane in each direction. Prices are good. There are plenty of sizes of pumpkins. Small stand selling hot drinks and food. Didnt look like there was a toilet. Cash only.

Went here for pumpkin picking which we found very underwhelming and they were just charging what they fancied for the pumpkins vowed never to go back.We then returned for the maize maze which we have done at various locations and as this is just down the road thought wed give it a go.The games and activities advertised where in our opinion vastly over exaggerated. The maze itself was tiny and when compared to other sites there was a serious lack of planning and effort gone into it.I would recommend the owners visiting other sites to see how its done properly.Overpriced and lack of planning/effort we wont bother again.
