The owner, Anthony, is extremely knowledgeable on wines and liquors. The store carries really cool tequilas and Mezcal. Whenever Im looking for a rare wine or liquor, I find it at Red Gamay. Ive placed many holiday orders here and the owner always works with me to meet my budget.

Besides the always evolving, varied and eclectic selection of wines, another reason this is my favorite wine store is the fact that the gentleman who owns Red Gamay knows EVERYTHING about every bottle of wine he sells. When asked he has always provided me with excellent selections.

Anthony is amazing. Friendly, professional and beyond knowledgeable. I don’t have to guess if I’m picking the right wine for a meal, I simply tell him what I’m having and he picks the perfect pairing every time. If you’re unsure about something, he’ll let you sample to make sure you’re happy with your purchase. If I could give 6 stars I would. You will not be disappointed.

I stopped at Red Gamay while visiting the area this summer. Im a passionate (and picky) bourbon lover and was ecstatic to find some great options on the shelf at Red Gamay. Anthony was great to work with and he even offered to reach out to me in the future when some of my favorites are released. Highly recommend Red Gamay for all your Long Island wine and spirits needs!

Red Gamay is a very unique wine store - the new owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I can walk in and tell Anthony what Im having for dinner and be recommended the perfect wine. On the other hand, if I need some sort of liquor for either myself or a gift he can recommend something and even tends to have samples on hand so I can try it first. They do tastings on Fridays and Saturdays so you can go in and try something youve been wanting to try or just something new. One of the things that really stands out is how clean and welcoming the store is. Its easy to go to a section and pick out what I came in for. The other thing that stands out is the impressive Spanish wine collection they have. The prices are always fair and I always leave the store with an education. Highly recommended.

Was driving by the store this week after visiting my wife at work and decided to go in and check it out. Walking through the door I immediately noticed the store was immaculate, clean is an understatement. I was greeted by both the owner Anthony and a young lady working the register. The customer service was second to none, the selection was excellent and the prices are on point. Highly recommended!!!!

Big thumbs up!!! Anthony, the owner, went above and beyond in helping me in selecting (long distance) a variety of wine and vodka to give to friends for the holiday. He packaged them beautifully and delivered them himself. My friends are thrilled with their gifts and said Anthony was just so nice when they met him at delivery time.

I visited Red Gamay this week and had a great experience. The new owner was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are good and the store is very clean. Its a great spot and will be my go to liquor store from now on.

They never have the green apple Amsterdam I love. The prices are a little steep. But its right up the street from my house so its convenient.

This is a small shop but the selection is really special - if youre just looking to run into a liquor store to pick up a bottle of Malibu or a cheap bottle of wine, fair enough, I might recommend going elsewhere, but if youre looking for some of the most gorgeous Malbecs around youll be very happy here. We went in for one bottle of wine but ended up leaving with two, as well as a bottle of Stolen Rum which is nearly impossible to find outside New Zealand and Australia. The woman behind the counter made excellent recommendations and was super friendly - I guess we didnt encounter whoever the other reviewers did. We will be back next time were in town to see what they have on the shelves!

Red Gamay has new owners and they could not be better! Theyre friendly, kind, knowledgeable and always ready to give a recommendation of a new wine or spirit. I love walking into a store and seeing the family hands on, engaging with customers, with obvious care and concern. For instance, on New Years Eve, Anthony stopped me from grabbing my usual cheap bottle of Korbel champagne and suggested that I try the real deal - it was a bottle I never would have grabbed and it was such a hit with my guests. This is not your average run in, run out liquor store experience (unless you want it to be, I guess). Definitely check them out!

Visted the store multiple times and I gotta say, great ownership, an excellent setup, great prices, and a friendly atmosphere have me going back for sure. They know exactly what your looking for and what your talking about in there if you need help or suggestions. Dont forget a crazy good selection, especially on wines. Anyone looking into it should definitely give it a go!

Staff was very informative and helped me choose the perfect wine for the occasion. Most shops expect you to know everything already, but Red Gamay will help you make the best choice.

Good selection and wonderful staff

I had a terrible experience at Red Gamay. The workers were rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. I asked for help finding a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and the only employee on hand did not even know where to find this wine. New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs are the most popular of its type- so this is just lack of training. Selection in the store was small and everything was OVERPRICED. The manager showed up at one point and she was nasty, rude and had a language barrier. DO NOT support this business. It is bringing our neighborhood down. It steals from its customers! Purchase wine and liquor from ANY of the other local stores, but NOT this one. It is a waste of space. No customer service. No help. Not even friendly employees. Terrible, terrible example of running a small business.
