Crazy parking lot! Too busy. Store was clean, but very crowded. Aisles are not wide and with floor merchandise stands are even narrower. Licensed store Starbucks kiosk (company owned Starbucks retail store 2 or 3 blocks up the street). Typical selection of any Safeway store. Seems understaffed with long lines at checkout, meat/seafood counter. Stock levels are good. Few product outages. Just your typical Safeway...

We have 2 grocery stores Safeway has fresher food and turns over their product faster because they are always busy. The Market grocery store you will need to be careful their stuff is always expired or freezer burnt, but they do have more organic/ health food options. Hope this helps

Self checkout ha ing to wait to have the number of their bags used verified..Whats the point of express self check. The bags however r durable. But paper would be preferred.

Best bakery staff. They did such a great job on my sons cow birthday cake. The baker (2nd day on the job) was incredibly kind and helped me carry the cake to the front. I wish I caught her name.

Has everything you could ever need including Yucca root chunks. Clean and well stocked. Busy store. Open till 1am. Best meat department in town with excellent selection and extremely helpful butcher staff.

A big, well kept grocery store with good produce and pretty much anything you might need from a supermarket.

The front line workers are wearing n95 masks and I saw someone disinfecting the counters. Good prices. Remember to be kind to our workers helping us.

Ok! Be it the only spot open past ten pm in Anacortes! The cashiers are all very friendly! But as for prices while inflation is on the rise worldwide this is very obvious every time I shop here! Also their produce has gone downhill tremendously I am appalled and shocked when I see the produce they have put out for customers...it may be just like this everywhere..but no I bought produce at a store outside of town and it was way fresher better and I think even less expensive! Stay open all night long again would give them 5 stars! Because the 711 here is closed and unsure it plans to reopen....Covid has really ruined a nightowls routine....oh well being like everyone else isnt that bad! I guess.

This location is okay. Lowest priced grocery store in town, so its usually crowded and sometimes lacking in options, depending on the day you go.

Decent food, good prices. A lot of people who work there seem to be have a stuffy attitude though, so try not to ask for help with the self checkout or youll get scoffed at and told to wait! before you dare speak to them.

Anacortes has 2 groc stores. I use The Market for Vegetables and Fruits and they sometime Mandan North Dakota Bacon It is best Ive ever tasted. Safeway is bigger store better for ice cream - Safeways Signature brand very good. Also better for canned good selection and meats.

The staff at this Safeway were not taking COVID precautions seriously; the store was very busy, there was absolutely no social distancing being enforced in the checkout lines, and the checkout staffer had her mask pulled down under her nose. If I do get COVID itll probably have been from here, frankly.

I mean, its Safeway. The staff is friendly, but this place is always SO busy. The parking lot is almost always jam packed...and it feels really jammed packed for space inside.Otherwise, its all you need it to be. Great selection. Clean store!

They have eggnog already!!! Any store that brings in new flavors of eggnog just has done something so right. My daughter in new Mexico has not yet seen eggnog either. Thank you, Safeway, for this delight!!

This is a safe rating as Ive been many times but for short list items and havent actually had a shopping experience at safe way yet. However most of the people and customers I ve seen seem to be kind and not at all in too much of a rush, which is nice.

Ample parking with accessible spaces in close proximity to the store.Social distancing markers throughout the store including directional flow for aisles.Most items were well stocked. Store overall seemed clean but untidy. Visited on a weekend day so this might be reason for the appearance.Prices were inline with expectation and use of app to receive coupons is an added bonus. Gas points also nice bonus.Cashiers bag items haphazardly making unpacking them a chore. (Putting similar items together is a courteous gesture that provides great customer service, especially when placed on belt in specific order.)Overall, good experience and would recommend as place to shop.

Shopping experience was most excellent. We found everything we needed for our journey.

If it was a once in awhile thing I wouldnt be so annoyed by it but because its more nights then not its really starting to have me rethink shopping here. I am so tired of getting is work after working graveyard to have to go grocery shopping because its the only time I have and they are closed sometimes 2 hours but on most nights an hour before the big sign on the door says. Safeway is supposed to be 24hrs and is the only place in town to get real food so late. If you cant stay open 24hrs then at least stay open tell the time u say you will. Its Safeway not some mom and popshop. Ive never had this problem with Walmart or Albertsons. So it looks like Ill be eating 711 burritos for the 3rd night in a row because they are too lazy to stay open as long as they are supposed to.

Im somewhat biased. This is my hometown store so I do 99% of my grocery shopping here. I guess that should say something due to having another grocery store here and several major stores 25 minutes away. I love the familiarity and friendliness good grass fed organic meat selections at resemble prices if you watch sales.

This particular store is somewhat chaotic all the time, probably because of its proximity to the ferry terminal and islanders utilizing it on their way back home. Theres usually a log jam by the registers because the front aisle isnt big enough. The store layout can be much better to better enhance the shopping experience. Been going to this store for over five years and I always feel stressed when Im in there. But Im only a part time shopper.

We were over the weekend an a Airbnb and found all we need it there..my son was so happy to found veggan chicken tenders. Do you have the brand rebelious in seattle also?...was delicious, even I tried it.

I went to the Starbucks Kiosk at Anacortes Safeway. My shopping experience was great. However, all I purchased was a Vento Pike Place coffee with some cream and sugar.

The store was fine. The lack of service at the Starbucks inside the store needs to improve though.

It has 97% of what you need losing out 3% to specialty items. Its biggest problem is how busy it is, really need to time your visits. Early in the morning or late at night to avoid the crowds.

Better selection on a variety of products than anywhere else in town. The sore is bright and always feel welcome walking through the door.

Just returned from shopping at 10:00PM. Informed in charge person that a maskless customer had just told me he doesnt have to wear a mask because they dont work anyway when I politely asked him why he didnt wear one and that he needs to wear one. Why they do not enforce this requirement is beyond me. Perhaps they think your Safeway card puts out a special forcefield that will instantly kill all pathogens.

Safeway has good sales. As a retired senior I appeciate this.

Stressful! Bare shelves and out of stock on what ever you are looking for. Trying to checkout is a total hassle, while Im trying very hard to keep a safe distance. Lots of displays on floor all over the store making it difficult to get past people going in both directions. Never much fun when the deli doesnt have any fresh hot roasted chicken at 5 or 6pm. Often It looks like its been sitting for a couple hours under a light. Same thing in the bakery, if you want some of the really good healthy fresh breads its wiped out.

That is the best Safeway I have ever been inside by far! Wow! I almost forgot where I was and what I came to buy.

Safeway has most of the products/produce/meats and fish you would be looking for. I went there to buy their sourdough baguette.

Went to pickup said to take 45-60 min at 90 min and it hadnt started yet. Waited 15-20 min to get it. Pharmacist very helpful explaining meds.

Yeah elena at the sandwich counter is slower than molasses. Waited almost 10 minutes for her to finish up one sub for someone then asked her to make the firecracker slaw fried chicken sandwich. She didnt know how (had to show her the big ad for it) and went looking for someone to help. Came back and started making it with grilled chicken without even mentioning it. When I asked she said we dont have fried. Finally after another 7 or so minutes I get it. 17 minute total wait, poor communication, do better Safeway.

This store never lets me down. Great option running for the ferry to grab food before the boat!
