The garden is wonderful.I was a little taken back when I asked for help with a special bouquet for a special occasion. I repeated that I was broke so I needed it to be cheap.I ring up at $70+ 😕The two helpers were so nice butI still felt like I was taken for a ride. 😒I like them for some things but I usually hit Sebos first.

ACE is a place you can count on! This is a nicer little hardware store, with almost everything you need. Very convenient 👌...Why then 4-stars...limited parking, not enough persons on the registers, lack of proper social distance at the check-outs, and quality on some product may be questionable 🤔. Other than that...a nice friendly hardware store to have in your local neighborhood 😉

I would like to give a special shout out, and “Thank you very much” to Andy! What a great guy, who knows what customer service is all about. Every time my wife and I are shopping, if I ask him a question he will drop whatever he is in the middle of to find what I need. Tonight it was weed and feed, spreader prices, and garden stakes. Another time is was specifics on a brugmansia (angel’s trumpet). He had the ways, and means to find how to feed, and care for it from a start. Again, thank you kind sir for all you do! You are a compliment to ACE, and to the city of Anacortes.

A fast trip to get plants and painting supplies. As always, the help was exemplary and we got everything we needed in record time. Friendly service and great supply of everything.

I have been coming to this store for a couple of months now. Today I came in to purchase a few items and as I set the items on the counter, I was told my mask did not meet protocol to be in your store. I told the cashier to have a good day and left. As a small business owner of many businesses I understand you have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, but policing citizens for wearing a mask that is in not in compliance seems a bit out of the ordinary to me. You do not know my health background, so one would think the fact that I had a mask on when I came in to avoid any problems would have been acceptable.I will plan to do my shopping elsewhere.

There was a significant price discrepancy between the shelf price and the register price of an item I was purchasing. The employees who went to check the shelf price agreed but said the higher price was correct and thats what they would ring up. I said that they should honor the shelf price and th one of them said very tersly oh thanks for telling us our job!. So I said, huh, ok nevermind, Ill order it from Amazon instead of trying to support a local small business and I left. I have supported my local Ace for many years but will now only be shopping at Sebos Hardware in town.

Desperately needed a part, ran from the Cap Sante Marina to this store on foot. Got there at 5:55 pm, Five (5) minutes before they closed, the employee was already closing the store gate. Sorry, come back another day he said. No worries, we wont be back.

Again another one of my favorite places to go to gain knowledge on local planting tips.It is also the place I buy all my yard tools they have an exceptionally knowledgeable women who runs the tools store and I enjoy picking her brain along with the others who work there.I have bought plants, bird food, dog stuff, candy, FREE popcorn, I have bought, paint, different types of soils for planting, seeds, stuff for wall hangings, stuff for my shower, fixings for my walls...you need it, I think they might have it or they can get it.Its one of my happy places.

It has a lot of great selection. They finally started carrying some steel products which is nice, whereas before they only had Husqvarna. Prices are a little steep but normal for this town.

Went to Ace today for some plants. Nice selection of vegetable and flowering plants. I appreciate the friendly staff and live the new checkout design. More efficient than previous set up!

Peanut rolls are still two for $1.00.Great local hardware store. Many knowledgeable people to help you find what you need. They will also provide good advice if you have a question. One of my favorite weekend stops. Dont forget the fee popcorn on the way out.

Went to the store with plumbing problems and questions. A store employee approaches me and ask me if I needed any help. I said yes, explained the problem to him. As he got closer to me, his body odor got stronger. OMG I can usually stand horrible smells, but this guy was bad. After telling him what I needed and he had no clue of what I was talking about. All I needed was a p trap for the sink. Glad Ace has employees who have knowledge of there profession. I would rather drive off island to get my hardware supplies. Ace has gone through some changes with personal and it wasnt for the good of the company.

This ace has EVERYTHING!! The staff are very helpful and nice, my favorite hardware store on fidalgo island and it has good lighting. And they have a barbecue section that i always spent too much time in, brilliant.

Got a great deal on paint for put apartment interior and this springs exterior paint for our home. We have always enjoyed shopping local ACE

Went to a sale that was awesome 65 bucks for at least $1,500 worth of merchandise alone. Please check out the Ace Hardware because the service was excellent and the people were wonderful to deal with will be back soon.

I walked up to the entrance of the ACE Hardware Store & saw exactly what I came for. I walked through the entrance & saw a young employee willing to help me, & had the handtruck I needed, & was on my way within 15 minutes!! Very pleased. Good price, too!

Went in to buy a fishing license at 6:28pm the cashier at the front informed me that the back desk to purchase them closed 30 minutes earlier than the store. I politely responded and said it is only 6:28 and she said, “ya 30 minutes.” Apparently 30 minutes means 32. This would not have been a huge issue had she been polite. I was planning on purchasing a nice expensive yeti cooler while I was there to haul some frozen fish back home in. The owners should train their people that poor customer service results in a lack of sales. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I’ve been going to Ace Hardware for years even when it was by thrifty foods in the liquor store you’ve got some of the same old faces and great customer service even with all the coronavirus stuff people are still being somewhat nice

Very good selection. Ive often found items here that I expected I would have to buy online. But one thing is I often feel like Ive got an employee hovering which makes shopping ackward. I do a lot of diy projects and sometimes I just need to look at whats available as I piece things together in my mind. Bolts and washers are a good example. They have hundreds and hundreds of each and I will stand in an isle for 45 min sometimes to make sure what I get will work for what Im doing. Im not saying its a bad thing to check how Im doing now and then but let me be in my zone while I contemplate 😂

The Ace Hardware in Anacortes is among the very few chains that I would rate along the top of there game. Why? The people, they are what makes everything you do once anyone crosses into their home. Its like a home full of people who come to your aid because they want to. Not because they have to, but to me, it feels like they genuinely want to get you what you need. To make sure that if theres anything that goes with your item/s, or needs to be fixed about your project, even if they dont have X, Y, or Z that your looking for, they would either send you to this or that place that may have it then they never waver in telling you the closest place that will, or if they can get it in on your time table, they will tell you that too. Not many stores these days have the quality skills to make you feel like you dropped by a family members home and have respect for each of you. These ladies and gentlemen have that gift in each of their hearts.

Ace Hardware is the place to go in Anacortes when you need something and are unsure where to find it. Most of the time theyll have it. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Friendly and helpful staff, lots of parts, bits, pieces and fittings on hand, handy to save you a trip to Mt Vernon, if you dont mind paying a somewhat minor convenience markup. Significant selection of nuts, bolts, screws etc.. Some electrical, plumbing and pvc piping. There is an outdoor greenhouse and garden center, which carries fertilizer, beauty bark and soils.
