I had a great first experience with my high-mileage BMW at this shop. They were objective in the work they recommended - there were some things I asked for that they said would not be required or could be done later. I found their prices pretty reasonable. They seemed to know my car really well - for instance, they recommended swapping out the engine mounts while doing some work in the area for pennies on the dollar for what it would have cost otherwise. This required them to know that these give out on these cars, and that the repairs could be done together. They gave me back the car much faster than what they’d originally committed.

I recently purchased a BMW that has been sitting for a while. I brought the vehicle to Precision German Performance because they were highly recommended to me by a friend and the reviews online were very high. The Team over there did an inspection of the vehicle, and explained to me what recommendations they had. My X3 had a recurring oil leak for the past few years. PGP finally fixed it right by replacing the warped cover instead of just replacing the seal as the other shops I visited previously.

I contacted Precision German Performance for some major repairs and a new suspension on a friends recommendation. After to paling to Kyle and Marshall on the phone, I felt confident (based on their answers to my questions and their suggestions) that they could handle the job, which entailed a complete subframe reinforcement, new suspension, radiator, and a host of while youre at it repairs.I picked up my car recently, and I have to say that I am blown away by the quality of the work that was completed, the work ethic, and the communication and transparency throughout the process. Ive taken this car to many dealers and independents over the last 15 years, and this is the best experience Ive had by far. And the joy of driving the car now puts a smile on my face that has been missing for a long time.There are a ton of independent BMW shops in SoCal. My wife and I have been a client for more than 10 years. Precision German performed a pre-purchase inspection for me which allowed me to negotiate the price of the car down so that I could pay for the deferred maintenance items required. They did an excellent job on the inspection and on making the required repairs.

I first started taking my BMWs here for service in about 2010. Kyle has worked on my 1995 M3, my 1998 328is, and Ive also taken my dads 2000 740i and 2006 M6 here. Any BMW from any era, these guys have the tools and the experience to get the job done.Maintenance is pretty simple I feel, the real area where Precision German Performance shines is in diagnostic repairs. My dads E38 had a few ailments as it got older, as most seven series do. PGP was able to pinpoint each specific issue and get it repaired without having to guess and replace parts. Which helps keep costs and time w/o a vehicle to a minimum.Im currently driving a 2015 M235i, and as soon as the factory maintenance plan expires, PGP will be my go to shop for that vehicle as well.

DO NOT!!!! I say again, DO NOT get your car serviced by these guys. I brought my car in for them to check the source of an oil leak and got slapped with a $4,500.00 invoice by the time it was all said and done. BTW, the oil leak was not fixed. Instead, they replaced the torque converter ($2,374.38); the fan clutch ($317.41); and serviced the transmission ($557.36); all of which I later learned were unnecessary.They charged a $90.00 fee to plug a computer to your car to read diagnose it and $60.00 to diagnose the oil leak. Both fees are separate and are no credited toward your final invoice if you chose to have them perform the service on your vehicle.These guys are shady and will do what they can to upsell you on service you do not need. I got suckered by Kyle so wanted to take the time and effort to write this review so that others dont fall for the same scam.
