I saw a “help wanted” sign on the window so I decided to go inside to confirm that they were still hiring. The owner claimed that they had ran out of applications and that I could submit my resume to their email. She gave me the email of the retail advisory firm that owns the Anaheim Garden Walk rather than the actual email of the store (I’ll provide pictures of the hiring sign). At this point, I’m not sure if there really was no available applications. Why lie about the email? What about me would make me a bad potential applicant? I wasn’t rude. I wasn’t loud. I would hate to think the reason why she gave the incorrect email was because she didn’t want a Black person working at her store. I would like the owner to reach our as soon as possible to explain herself.
