People are very patient and knowledgeable. They helped us to choose the figurines we wanted, wrote down the artists names, and introduced a plenty of knowledge regarding identifying different types of ivories and bones. Comparing to other native craft stores in Anchorage and other places in Alaska, this store has decent quality and good prices.
Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the pieces in the display cases. They only accept cash or checks but there is an ATM in the cafeteria. Staff allowed us to return after closing to make purchase after getting cash from ATM. The staff are friendly and helpful and customer friendly.
The staff are knowledgeable about their handmade in Alaska Native Arts & crafts. The manager and staff know the artists either personally or through reputation & they are treated fairly!
The gift shop used to have lots of beautiful earrings kuspuks jewelry native made crafts etc the shops shrink and its kind of spoiled it. Not much to see anymore and the hours are so short anyway.
Wonderful place to see traditional craft and native art.
