I had a reservation for after hours with a 24/7 mobile pickup for a van. I even went to the store the day before to make sure everything was good to go and they assured me I would be able to pick it up before they opened. I went to pick it up and they did not set the van up for 24/7 pick up like they said they would. I called uhaul support and they said the store did not set up the van as they we’re supposed to. The incident ended up making my family miss their flights because of it.

Joshua and Edward did a fantastic job helping us out. We were at the Old Seward location and they gave us the worst service possible! But we drove out to the Boundary branch and Edward and Joshua took care of the matter for us quickly and for a reasonable price. We dont live anywhere near Boundary, but we dont mind the drive now that we know this is the type of service well receive. A lot of thanks to the guys for an excellent job!

Made an appointment for a hitch install weeks out. Showed up at the time I was supposed to and was told that they didnt have anyone to install the hitch and that I should call to make a new appointment. I have called back daily for the past three days with no answer. Does not seem to be a way to get a refund through the website. Pretty frustrated that they charged me for the install, made me wait weeks, and now I still dont have a hitch and no one will respond.

The manager and employees will steal your things. My mothers unit was occupied for a grand total of 7 days, she came back and was told that the employees had gone through her things. The manager had the employees bring some of it back. An employee named CHEYENNE brought back some of my deceased fathers items. To complete the whole saga, they also took the remains/ashes of my father, grandfather and grandmother. We were told today that the employees have a unit where more of my mothers things may be located (stashing stolen items..?) APD was called and has been extremely helpful throughout. FURTHER MORE, the u-Haul regional manager Christopher Davis REFUSED to take my mothers or my phone call during the whole sage. This happened 2/25/2021. DO NOT RENT HERE.

My advice to anyone moving locally would be to use ANY other moving company for your needs, even something like Superman. I assure it will be cheaper, less hassle, and at least you will get full use out of every cent you pay with no outrageous fees.

I love it its always clean and always smells good. I recommend that this is the cleanest facility.

I have had a storage unit there for almost a year, while I have been working out of the country. The staff has been--without fail--friendly, helpful, and wonderful to deal with. Veronica in particular has far exceeded any expectations I had for customer service. She is an absolute rock star and really reminds me just exactly why I love living in Alaska to begin with.Seriously, cannot say enough good things about this place or the employees.

Called an reserved a unit. Came to pick up and we dont accept cash. Well we normally do but I dont work at this store so I cant. Well can a manager come do it? No in the only one here. If you cant accept 1/2 of the currencies for payment you could let people know, I drove from Southside for nothing.You have to be kidding me.

Never able to get an answer from someone at the store firstly. Always get sent to the corporate line and they can’t help me in answering my questions on available appointments at this location for hitch wiring. Going to the actual location the wait is just as bad and customer service is to be nice, “fair”, at very best. Being right outside the base I would’ve thought this location would be able to help military people trying to get moving situated but i’m realizing that I might as well look elsewhere at another location even if it’s farther away.

I received excellent service with a hitch install and bike rack purchase. Employees were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I was also offered coffee and water while I waited. Restroom was very clean.

This place is very professional and great to deal with. We volunteer to move retired Vets and other needy folks a couple weeks each summer. Reserving from 5700 boundary is easy and they get you in your truck and out the door fast! Small trucks have plenty of spots to easily strap and secure furniture and boxes too. Greg is very knowledgable and great to deal with!

Veronica that works @ the one on Boundary was extremely rude, showed obviously that she did not fancy my brown skin and refused my service because I had already tried to receive help by using my identification card as proof, but I need a drivers license.. So.This was two days ago I was gonna just let it go but the longer it sits with me the more upset I get(:If I could, I would give a rating of -32 and thats being kind.

Uhaul on Boundary Avenue in Anchorage, Alaska has friendly, helpful staff and it is a pleasure to do business with them.

U haul did an excellent job at correcting their mistake. I can always respect a company that fixes their mistake and does the right thing. U haul cares about their customers! Here is the mistake that uhaul made right: I was getting a hitch installed at their Palmer location (I live in anchorage). The service department told me that the hitch that was needed for my vehicle was not available in anchorage and the nearest location that had it was Palmer, so I went because I was looking to buy a trailer very soon and was under a time crunch. My appointment was scheduled for 7 am on a Saturday I drove the hour long drive to only discover that my part was actually in anchorage. The installer felt extremely bad and comped on their wiring products. They were able transfer the part from a location that was booked to their other location that had an opening only a few hours later, so I took it! At this location the lady deeply apologized and discounted me on my installation. I can always respect a company that fixes their mistakes! Thank you uhaul from turning my bad morning into a great experience with your company! They definitely deserve this 5 star review.

I will never recommend uhaul to anyone again. I was charged $140 in overages when I brought our equipment back 3 days early. Their customer service is garbage. The only way you can dispute extra charges is by calling their 1-800 number and waiting on hold. Then, you have to wait for some customer service manager to make a decision and you are at their mercy. You dont get to talk to them. You dont get to dispute. They will charge you extra for absolutely no reason and theres nothing you can do about it.

Awful experience. I rented an auto transport trailer. One of the tire tie down straps had been cut 3 inches shorter than the side. I had to go buy a new tie down strap to secure the vehicle. When I returned the trailer and tried to get reimbursed for the expense of the strap, Jazziman threatened to charge me with damages for the cut strap on their uhaul trailer. The cut was obviously very old and the trailer was not inspected when I picked it up nor when I dropped it off other than a 5 second glance. Contacted the manager Steve twice but crickets from him. Avoid this place, its a joke.

Very professional and efficient peronnel. Clean storage units. I love it that they have a recycle area for boxes along with donation center inside the storage unit area. Had a wonderful experience!!!😊

Thank you, Greg! We ordered a hitch and the manufacturer never processed the order. As we were getting ready to move out of state, Greg expedited a new one to the store. That order got messed up too. He called to double check and it just wasnt going to make it in time. We found a hitch in Anchorage for our car and Greg agreed to put it on for us. Turns out that the hitch was bent. Greg worked for two hours and got the hitch on there for us so we could still leave on time. Thank you, Greg!

We just rented a unit from Steve and had a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend Steve and this U-haul to anyone looking for a great storage unit in Anchorage.

Was unloading all my belongings after 7pm on a Wednesday and that just so happens to be when the main door is closed and you have to use your pin to get in the little door. There was a Uhaul parked at the front door open with a bunch of bikes, vacuum cleaners and other misc items. The driver was a white male who was obviously on something along with the other black male in the passenger seat getting high. They were not moving anything in or out and eventually disappeared with the uhaul back door still open and driver side door open. There were random junkies coming up to the door with the key pad waiting for someone to enter their pin and walk in behind them. After 2 hours the uhaul was still parked there unattended and the junkies that slipped in never came out. I called Uhaul dispatch then and they said they will notify the manager. Beware of your belongings with that kind of suspect activity going on after hours.

This place is a dumpster fire when it comes to keeping control.

Not happy what so ever with the service I recieved here today, Im extremely unhappy with how rude the lady was that helped me and how she gave me no resolution to the problem I had... I have a lot more rude and unkind things to say but Ill just keep it at that. Hopefully Ill never have to go back to this location in my life!*EDIT* I had to go back to this location and this is the second time they tried stealing money from me, days after I returned the uhaul and paid for it and got my receipt they make bogus charges on my card for absolutely nothing, I guess they just like to take money from their costumers unlawfully... I’d suggest to never go to this location unless you want to have to go back to deal with them stealing your money

Im finally getting around to this review, so I apologize on the timing of it! On Memorial Day weekend, we were driving our new 33 ft. camper that we bought that Friday out for its first glamping trip. Being new to the glamping life, as we were heading down from our home on Hillside, we started to smell our brakes. We learned about brake controllers that day and that it was an additional piece of equipment needed to control brakes on the camper. Of course, being a Holiday weekend, either the stores with brake controllers were not open or they didnt have the wiring harness needed for a Toyota truck. We called everyone to include the Valley. Oddly, I tried U-Haul (which I thought wouldnt even sell them) and a lady confirmed that they had 1 left. When we arrived, Greg greeted us, helped us locate his LAST Toyota wiring harness, and even provided tools and guided us through the installation. He was extremely helpful, empathized with our situation, and made our weekend turn out to wonderful..instead of what would have otherwise been a big foil in our plans. I highly recommend this location for your towing, truck rental, moving and storage needs based on the customer service alone!!!!

Scheduled a hitch installation but hitch did not arrive and no-one called to let me know before I arrived for my schedule appointment. They were then unwilling to help fix this problem; Ill never be going back to this location.

Very hit and miss on service, front desk is left unattended for long periods of time, phone rings off hook. Last two times Ive been here Ive had to wait over 30 minutes for assistance.

They are very helpful with the questions of packing, and great customer service.

Rented a 6x12 enclosed trailer, reserved online and picked up without any difficulties. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Took a while, but great service over all.
