Had a GREAT lunch here (again). Everyone is sitting outside today, but they have expanded their indoor seating recently. Big selection of baked goods, fresh meals, sandwiches, ice cream, wine / beers, etc. Live music and beer tasting on the the patio (Thursdays in the summer). We tried their catering / to-go options and LOVED their quiche Lorain (our Mothers day guests: the best quiche we have ever had!).Great staff (attentive and friendly). Family-owned.________________Aug. 17th, at live music / beer & wine tasting Thursdays. Check out the pics - band, crowd, and food! A perfect way to end the day...-------MARCH 2018 - cozy setting where you can buy a bottle of wine (great selection) and open it, enjoy it there, while ordering from the kitchen. The atmosphere was great: business meetings over coffee, moms meeting by fireplace, people taking meals to go. Here are additional pics. We gotta support places like this. They are gems. Family owned and run, with top chefs and pastry experts.

I had a bad review I removed because they got better but once again they cant help but to kick themselves every time they make a good decision. Every time I go the food quality is inconsistent, sometimes decent, most of the time bad. Their new breakfast sandwiches were great, for a week. Now theyre being made lazily again; one less piece of bacon, not cut in the middle, questionable eggs in regards to smell. They also stopped offering the free coffee with breakfast sandwiches which completely defeats the purpose of getting one. Its a $10 sandwich that without the coffee tastes a bit underwhelming for the price. Ive given this place so many second chances but I dont think Im going back again.

This place has unfortunately gone downhill recently. Their buttermilk fried chicken sandwich used to be delicious now it really shouldn’t be called a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich because what I received was basically a chicken tender slapped between two pieces of bread. It looked nothing like the picture feature on their website. The cheese danish was... just not good. Dry and mealy texture, for shame!I try to support local businesses but this place is expensive and the quality does not reflect the premium pricing. Not only that but girl behind the counter was slow and appeared to be giving me attitude even after my generous tip. Very strange things happening here indeed!

I have been going to Town Market for over 2 years and I always ordered the same plate. I love the taste of the food but for some reason there were a lot of mistakes. For example they gave me chips instead of french fries, I asked for no sauce and they added it anyway. I even patiently talked to the lovely supervisor Sue. She promised me they will get better at it.Well today they made another mistake and I wanted to talk to the owner who happened to be there in the kitchen. He refused to come out and talk to me. He had the nerve to ignore me. What kind of customer service is that? The poor lady took my both plates and I had to wait another 10 min for fries. She was very apologetic but all I wanted to do is talk to the owner. My only mistake was not to return my plates and ask for money back.

I have to agree with Colby. I was thrilled to see such a wonderful place in my end of town. Rob was extremely helpful but sadly is now gone. They seem to go through general managers quickly and I dont think there is one there now. The service is terrible even though there is so many people working there. No one seems to know what they are doing. I am also surprised at how small their ice cream servings are. They started out very generous but now a single scoop is no more than a 1/4 cup. I hope they find a good general manager to whoop this place into shape. It has so much potential...

Love the cozy space and local vibe of this cafe! The food is excellent, in my opinion, everything Ive tried so far tastes amazing, although I havent even made a dent in tasting everything on the menu, lots of choices. Its important to me that the majority of the food is local and/or organic, with some items from local farms. Hopefully in the summer space will not be as big of an issue with the outdoor patio, the few tables inside can get crowded. If youre looking for a bargain, dont come here, pricing is on par with the area it is located in. If you want delicious, high quality prepared foods and deli, then youll like it here. So lets say that this is really a 3.5 star review. The pros : the food/atmosphere/selection isnt bad and the staff is quite courteous. Cons : for the amount of staff on site seemingly the food should be flying out if the kitchen but its a bit sluggish most of the time. Also, there is absolute lack of consistency e.g. you can order the same item the same way time after time and fully expect it to be something quite different each time. Sometimes you get lucky and you get what you are looking for and sometimes you dont.

I waited about a year to post this review and Im glad because its been a dramatic change over that timeframe. We moved to Andover 18 months prior to this writing and my first trip to Town Market was the night we moved in. I had packed all day and driven am enormous uhaul for hours, was not in the best mood. But the Cubano sandwich was amazing and completely changed my outset. Over the next month or so as we got settled we had several menu items, salads, pastas, sandwiches, breakfasts and pastries and it was all great. However over the past year every experience has been significantly worse to a point where we ordered breakfast this morning and out french frast with strawberries and bananas had 3 SLICES of banana and 2 SLICES of strawberry. Apparently paying extra for those items didnt even warrant a full banana or strawberry. The food is edible but thats about it. I can cook far better myself at this point and thats the let down, it wasnt the case a year ago. Pastries are still solid and their pre-made breakfast breads (cranberry orange especially) are still great but for actual food I could not recommend town market especially with so many other amazing options in Andover and the surrounding area. Even though we live a 3 minute walk from town market and convenience is amazing, we wont be going back.

I keep going as its so convenient, I desperately want it to be great but the food is so inconsistent. Menus are always changing. Same food comes out different. Ingredients forgotten. Ive been going to the Town Market since it opened a few years ago. It has gone through many changes, to try to find its niche. I think it is hitting its stride right now. That being said, I had a veggie omelette today for the first time. It comes with a 3 egg omelette filled with mixed fresh veggies, home fry potatoes, and your choice of toast or English muffin. Some people say, how hard is it to make eggs?! Apparently some places really dont get it. However, the Town Market knows how. What a great value for your breakfast too! If youre still hungry after, maybe you should step back and rethink your eating habits. On another note, the Bacon Avocado Egg sandwich on a bialy is my go-to there. You CANT BEAT THE VALUE of this for what youre getting. I always get the eggs scrambled. If you take out, dont leave the plastic lid on for too long because the heat will soften the bialy and ruin it a bit.My final note about the Town Market is also a good one. They started carrying some quality beer choices. My new favorite is Gunners Daughter, which is you like a coffee milk and peanut butter stout, you cant beat it! Great addition to the selection.

It is easy to be impressed with the overall look of Town Market, they sure spent a lot of money on a beautiful building. The food and service on the other hand is lacking in many areas. We have been in a few times hoping they would figure out by know but its hard to keep going in for the convenience of living close to it.Once your are inside Town Market has no direction or identity of what they are trying to sell. The menu is very confusing- sandwiches are small, very overpriced for the quality and some of the combinations are not very appealing. For being locally roasted coffee is wasnt that memorable, we have ordered lattes that came out slightly warm and watery. Pastries have been good all made in their bakery and now after 3 months they are selling pastries from a Belmont wholesaler. The retail store consists of very crowded expensive average wines on fancy racks and a lot of craft beer in coolers, I did think the general manager Rob was really knowledgeable, he was able to put me on to a few different IPAs that were great and he knew his cheese. Sadly I just found out that he is no longer working there when I stopped in. hopefully they will find management to fill his shoes.Good Luck Town Market..., Andover wants you to be better,12 years is a long time to wait for average..

I really wanted to love this place but it’s been one disappointment to the next. It’s a 5 min walk from my house so we were very excited when this was being built, but I’ve only been in here about 5 times over the past few years. I stopped in today out of desperation; we just got back from vacation and needed to grab lunch for my toddler so I ordered the kids peanut butter and jelly and grabbed myself a pre-made Caesar salad. How could you go wrong with PB&J, right? Wrong. For starters, it comes on 2 pieces of hard Italian bread (what kid likes that?) and they basically globbed jelly right in the middle so it all fell out when I took the sandwich out. My son didn’t touch it. My salad was horrible, took 2 bites and threw away the $8 box of brown lettuce and soggy croutons. No thanks! The worst part was waiting 20 min for them to make the sandwich. I don’t know how this place stays open, it’s never been good. They should really take a page out of Larosa’s book if they want to have any chance of staying in business. Will never be back again.

Used to be better. Current staff is unenthusiastic and often derogatory over the phone, especially the heavyset bearded gentleman. Its obvious he doesnt like working there, yet he is staffed almost every day. Likely a relative of management based on the way Ive seen him treat other customers in person yet is still employed. Lately the food has been sub-par. Sometimes you get lucky, but for the prices you pay the quality should be consistent. It seems the cook staff flips a coin in the morning to decide whether or not they will put any effort into what they are making.
