Family owned, pleasant people, good customer service. Addressed all of my questions and random questions from my kids. Currently renting; would used them again. Only issue was that they’d recently moved and forgot to update the location on the auto-generated confirmation e-mail I received after completing the rental info online. But the new location was nearby and centrally located in Ankeny.

I called a couple of local music shops when my daughter selected percussion for 5th grade band and Sleister was by far the nicest and most accommodating (and competitively priced). When we went to pick up her percussion kit, they were welcoming and very helpful. I highly recommend!

5th grade daughter wanted to try band, I had no idea about anything band related. I contacted a few companies and Sleister was the friendliest and most helpful. Plus their prices were better. The man on the phone told me that their goal is to make band more affordable for everyone. His son had opened the business with that goal in mind, they are family run and local. He answered all my questions and the book was included as well. They are located in Ankeny and delivered the instrument to my daughters school in Johnston for free.Great customer service.Brad

Highly recommend Sleister Music! I could not find a baritone to rent for my son anywhere-and Sleister not only had a baritone, they had both new and used to choose from. Great service and even better prices. I got a great rate for monthly rental which I am sure would have cost me more elsewhere. 5 stars!
