Always a pleasant shopping experience. Everything is clean and well stocked. Everyone is friendly and helpful.Better price compared to other shop in the area.
My family and I have been coming to this store for years. They have been a staple for all our Indian grocery needs. The store is always clean, neat and organized really well. Staff is alwsys friendly and helpful. I always see alot of Indian and Asian people shopping here but I see alot of varieties of other cultures as well. I think its nice to see people trying to get into Indian cooking and food. Ive seen the owner and other workers helping and explaining to people who might be new to the culture and products. They also have homemade rotis, Samosas, and Indian deserts.
Really nice little store. If you like Indian food or just want to try something different, this is worth the trip. Also, if you like different snacks, the kind you dont see every day, this place is great. My wife is already waiting for our next visit there.
Lots of expired items and they do NOT offer refunds. It’s clearly stated on a sign by their cash register. The guys wife who works here has lost her mind. No manners, no professionalism, and no more business from me!
Very good collection of Indian food from all over the country. Large selection of frozen food. Less fresh indian veggies compared to elsewhere in Ann Arbor
The owner and his wife harassed my mom who has dementia and also asked her disrespectful questions. When I went to question him and he started accusing her of stealing and said himself he has it on camera and he can show me, so I said show me first he said yes I will then his wife got involved and then he changed his mind and said he wont show us. He started talking about how the winter jacket she was wearing looked suspicious to him and that since hes the owner of the store he has the rights to tell her to take it off, and tell her to not wear it in the store. Just because she has a mental illness and acts a little strange these people didnt want her in the store which is fine she doesnt go there anyways. She has been shopping there for years before she got sick and that couple has absolutely no respect for anyone! I dont recommend that store to anyone.
The couple that works here need to be fired or else they will run this store to the ground. They lack professionalism and common sense. Disgusting behavior.
Wow what an amazing store, it totally a hidden gem. I will definitely coming back .
It has quite a variety of Indian foods and spices. For things like rice, there is a variety, but too highly priced for me.They did have something new,to me anyway, some fresh vegetables, mostly used in Indian, possibly Thai cooking. I,personally, didnt know what most of them were, but, they were fresh and in good condition/shapeMost were in refrigerated areas.
Bombay grocers is a great place for Indian groceries and everything .They also sell spices, lentils, pickles, dry snacks, wide variety of rice and flours, beans, fresh sweets, along with vegetables, also frozen-dry fish, soaps-shampoos-oils that are good for hair and skin.Good quality and reasonable price.Produce is excellent pricing with everything being very affordable. They are warm and very helpful. It feels good to shop at a store that welcomes you .we are so glad that they are here. They are oldest in a Ann Arbor still the store is very clean and well managed store. If you are a student also they do free Delievery in a Ann Arbor area. The service is great and very friendly.Always on my top of the list for Indian groceries.Better than almost any grocery store around.cant say enough good things about it.Owner and staff is very helpful.Good job👍🏻👍🏻
We just drove through Ann Arbor, and this Desi grocery store was amazing! I had visited it a few years ago, and back then it was just a very small two person shop... back then you could find things you needed, but not much selection... now its just exploded in size, and choices... very busy, lots of space, an actual proper desi store! Much respect to the couple now running it! Nice job.
Good staff and good prices
Clean, well lit, decent selection of Asian Indian grocery/food brands!
Every item here is expensive compared to other stores in Ann arbor. Everything is of low quality and many are expired items. And the shop owner should have manners to greet and smile at the customers. Hope they learn that.
I go shopping here every week they have great variety and quality of products. Lots of food I eat comes from here. Thank you for being in the community
Usually go to the Bombay in canton but come here when Im close. Much larger store than canton and has produce and I believe more freezer/cooler space.Overall I love Bombay grocers for gluten free cooking and vegetarian cooking. Great values here for flours and spices! I like the snacks too and branching out to try new things.... I got sick once from gluten unknowing it was in one of the spice blends, so beware if youre celiac while trying new things.
Great place to shop. Clean, well organized, great selection of foods.
The woman who owns this place or just works here has the ugliest attitude ever. Never coming back.
Great selection, great prices, and always a cricket game on the television.
Clean and well-stocked. Lots of interesting Indian foods and snacks. The employees observed good social distancing and mask discipline.
They sell expired stuff and doesn’t give you a refund when you return it. Horrible customer services.
Great selection. Great prices
Bombay Grocers provides excellent customer service. They are very prompt in responding to queries and always ensure timely delivery of ordered items.
Owner should have some smile on his face .He should greet all the old and known customers .
I ve been going to this store for over 3 years now. I realized they are selling for huge marked up prices. When asked about it, got a rude answer. Will not go to this store again.
This store has everything an Indian food cook would need.
Fantastic selection of spices, frozen foods etc etc.
Always clean and well stocked
Friendly service. Found fresh Thai basil, curry leaves and galan gal and Horlicks, my childhood treat!
The couple that owns this place lacks professionalism.
Good products and service
Its a good place
They have a good range of merchandise, more towards groceries than fresh produce. This place has become my new go to Indian Store simply because their curbside pickup is super convenient. They ensure to pack fresh fruits and veggies and send pics when in doubt between brands. Great job during this crisis 👍
Great store for buying Indian groceries! Very supportive and helpful staff.
Amazing store for Indian groceries! Everyone that works there is really nice and helpful. Their produce is pretty high quality and in general their food selection is very diverse. Please go check them out!!
Amazing Store in Ann Arbor. Very kind towards students, giving free rides back home along with home delivery whenever required. A great Indian store for Indian food needs. You will find it all here! 10/10 would recommend! :)
First visit very impressed. There is something very satisfying exploring new culture and its cuisine even with a simple trip to the grocery.
This Indian grocery store is not as well known as it should be! The people who run the store are kind and lovely! They carry a very good selection of Indian groceries, and fresh produce. Their home-made thepla is to die for. They can deliver to your place within a day. Highly recommend them for your Indian spice, and snacks needs!
Very organized store, prices are better than other local store in the area.will come back again.
Great place for spices and all kinds Indian grocery. I am usually one of the only non Indian people at the store but I am always treated very nicely by the wonderful staff!! Get all the spices, condiments, frozen food at a reasonable price-all under one roofIt’s an oldest store in this area also very organized and very clean......
Great selection and very friendly and helpful staff as well as other customers! Plus their fresh samosas are wonderfully flavorful and spicy.
Tremendous selection of foods and etc. of India. Items that you wont find elsewhere. Nice people! Great samosas.
Nice clean shop. Lots of good options. I went in looking for frozen porotta and found much more!
Bombay Grocers is a fully stocked Indian grocery. Fresh produce is limited but they have things needed for Indian recipes. The spices are abundant and very reasonably priced! Lots of rice, dal and other staples are available in many sizes. Non food items are also available. Best of all they sell homemade, fresh and wonderfully spiced samosas at the counter!
Good variety. Good prices. Fast service. Clean store.
I love shopping at Bombay Grocers. This is a phenomenal grocery. Produce is excellent.Better than almost any grocery store around.Lots of produce you won’t find elsewhere.Very greatful and helpful staff. They are doing curbside pick up, they making good packaging and also they load it in our car.. 👍🏻Very excellent and good service...
Awesome store with a cool layout and a huge variety of stuff!
We have enjoyed shopping at Bombay Grocers. They have a great price. In fact I compared their price: It is better than Farmington Hills and the local Patel bros in Ann Arbor. The store is well organized and the floors are clean. The husband wife team always have a smile on their faces.Great selection of vegetables. We go on Thursday and Sunday to shop veggies and other goddies.
I was looking for some incense and a friend recommended this store. They have lots of choices and fragrances. I purchased several boxes and all the scents smell very good. Cant comment on the food items they sell. They are well stocked and sell several types of rice. I bought some basmati rice and it cooked up well and was delicious.
Horrible customer service.
Biger than the Patel Brothers, best place to shop indian grocery in the area
Great place to shop very clean and friendly staff and mangers always there to make sure that we got what we need highly recommended.
Good customer service. Need to fill out the shop
Well stocked and had everything I needed to buy. The employee even helped me carry everything to my car.
Great place to get home food items
Great place for all the Indian food needs with wide variety. The quick and hassle free delivery is a great positive. Totally recommended
This is the best Indian grocery store Ive been to. Huge selection, clean and well organized. Prices are unbeatable. They carry a lot of organic products, too! The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Awesome Indian Grocery Store. Great friendly staff, welcoming and helps you find any specific items you are looking for. Feels like I am back in bombay, my homeland. I have always found Indian authenticate stuff that I couldnt find in other store plus I am a very big fan of their SAMOSAS and VADAPAVs, these are addicting once you try them. Cheers
Was able to find what I needed. The front of shop staff was v helpful as well
Very Expensive but worth it for items I cant find at other Indian grocery stores.
It is a place where an Indian person Will love to do shopping as all the best Indian food brands are available and that too at a Very reasonable price. Every Indian person Will enjoy and will be relieved to get all stuff of food and daily requirements under one roof
My family and I have been shopping here for more than 20 years. All it took was One New Employee (wont mention name out of respect), the Lady on the cash register, to break that relationship. She has no manners, awfully Rude, disrespectful, doesnt care about maintaining customer relations (probably doesnt even know what that means) and very aggresive. She pushed her husband right in front of me when he tried to calm her down during an argument. The owner/manager, (wont mention name out of respect) who Ive considered to be a good friend, poor guy, doesnt know what to do. I can understand times maybe hard, but thats no excuse to take it out on your customers. Bombay Grocers, great job losing 15 customers from our family, keep it up and youll be losing a lot more. May God bless and knock some sense into you guys. The younger brother is cool, just does what hes supposed to do and greets everyone nicely, hopefully he can sustain that attitude.
I love shopping at Bombay Grocers. An eclectic mix of spices, incense, soaps, produce, foodstuffs, and THE most fabulous copper Ganesha statue!!! All in one stop! Love the mix and unpretentious atmosphere!
Indian convenient stores, almost all desi products products available. Not far from central campus and downtown area.
Great selection and low prices!
Neat Indian spice
They have a delivery service which is convenient especially during the COVID era.
They have a great selection of items from India. The quality of spices here is topnotch compared to other Indian grocery stores around. Also, you have a higher chance of finding fresh vegetables here. The sweets are a little more expensive than you would expect. Samosas are awesome!
Incredibly well stocked in terms of spices and Asian herbs and vegetables that are hard to find in the area, including curry leaves, black cardamoms, tumeric roots, green papaya, etc. They also have an extensive selection of basmati rice. If you cant find something elsewhere, Id look in here.
Good collection of Indian sub-continental food, however little pricey.
Terrific selection of Indian spices, grains, veggies etc.
Clean, courteous, well-stocked neighborhood Indian grocery store. They stock mostly dry goods but also have some fresh vegetables and refrigerated basics like milk, yogurt and butter. This store is particularly nice because its larger than typical strip mall grocery stores, about 4X the size of typical small ethnic markets. They also focus on basics as opposed to ready-to-eat items. They do have things like cookies and ramen, but the virtue of Bombay Grocers is that they have an extensive selection of rice, spices, dry beans, lentils, bottled sauces etc. They also carry kitchen wares such as pots, pans, utensils and numerous cooking implements. This is a great place to stock any South Asian kitchen.
Amazing experience. Very friendly and fast service and hygienic. This is always my favorite place for buying Indian groceries.
Overpriced and both the guy and the girl who usually work as cashier have some attitude. Very unprofessional customer service. Would recommend some other Indian stores in the area.
Best place to get vegetarian frozen Indian dinners, naan, and spices. Along with all sorts of ingredients for cooking.
Great selection and prices
I love Bombay grocers! Very reasonably priced, great variety of spices, foods, and snacks. They aren’t the closest desi market to me, but they’re with the trip.
Always had a very good experience and found what I was looking for. Staff is nice, helpful and courteous.
Good Indian collection
I’m very pleased with my experience.☺️☺️Shop was very clean and well stocked...All customers and staff were wearing masks with their problems & observing social distancing.A very good variety of good products and items at fair and very good prices always keep it up...
They are very helpful people. The service is excellent.
This is the best Indian grocery store Ive been to. Amazing services and well organized.
Bombay Grocers is a great place for Indian spices and grocery supplies! They have added a fresh produce section and frozen food isle which is awesome! They are my go-to place for hard to find spices at very reasonable prices.
Cashier lady was mad becuase I asked her for a plastic bag after paying for an item. Lol I got the bag dont worry but she was rude and the guy there was rude too. Cheap and rude they need to learn how to be polite to customers.
Did not have paan when i went last time.
Have a ton of options when it comes to rice, atta and even masalas and indian snacks. More spacious. Produce is not that great except for mint, cilantro and curry leaves. We usually do our non-produce groceries at Bombay Grocers and produce at Patel brothers. Also, its best to double check the expiry date on frozen goods and snacks here.
Very large selection of ethnic foods and the store is so clean. Good place to find hard to get food.
Amazing experience. Very friendly and fast service and hygienic. This is always my favorite place for buying Indian groceries.
A reasonably priced shop in Ann ArborVariety with plenty of options (especially vegetables)
Always warm welcome by the staff and find almost everything from the store that I need.
Great grocery store, this was my first visit and definitely wont be my last. I enjoyed perusing the aisles and finding all sorts of items as meal ideas.
Has good stock of Indian foods and groceries. However, the price is on the higher side.
Family run business. Amazing customer service
Great selection of rice and spices. They also have these chocolate hazelnut wafer sweets that were pretty delicious
Well-lit, clean, and great selection.
Good selection of items for those looking for Indian groceries and products. Also carry Indian savories and snacks as quick eats.
