We have now visited the Holland, Traverse City and now Ann Arbor. This is the smallest location. No samples during covid time. Good thing I know what I like. Friendly staff and very clean and orderly! Great job team!

You cant leave without something delicious. They have samples all over the room and it is all so good. Next time youre in MI, plan to stop at one of their locations for a taste of MI.

Do the wine tastings of all the amazing cherry wines! Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Who knew? So many good finds for food/drinks or anything else. Definitely need to stop at one when in Michigan

This place is an absolute delight to visit. My first experience with cherry republic was back in Glen Arbor where it started. Nearly everything Cherry related can be found here. Very high quality products. Everything is worth sampling and you can simply get lost in the store! My personal favorites are the Cherry chocolate coffee. The Cherry BBQ sauce. And the Cherry cola I had during a sweltering summer day when I visited in Ann Arbor! Lots of great gifts and they even pack everything for you in gift wrap. this place is truly one of a kind and a must-visit for anyone who has a sweet tooth and loves cherries!

Great selection of Michigan Made, Cherry flavored products. Each is of high quality and tastes so good! My personal favorites are the Cherry Salsa, Cherry BBQ sauce, and Cherry Ketchup. A must visit if youre in the area!

I didnt visit the Ann Arbor store but I was at Abundant Living in Wyandotte, Mi. and they carry Your products. I purchased the milk chocolate cherries and the milk chocolate cherry nut mix. Great tasting and high quality. You got a new customer for good. Pat

I came here today and it was very nice. The selection of items was great and the employees were as nice as possible. Instead of having samples free to grab, they gave us each a package of the sour cherry patches. The candies and snacks I got were amazing.

Ive been to Cherry Republic several times through the year and never wrote a review, which is a shame because theyre so good. Literally every one of their products are to die for (especially the Balaton wine), and every single staff member Ive ever interacted with at this location has been such a dream. Definitely worth a stop.

Love love their wines. They have a very diverse selection and especially amazing wines during the summer. Every time we visit Ann Arbor we try a new bottle.They handled store sanitation very well with a sanatizer station on the door and one way traffic.

Fantastic Michigan based family owned store. Go inside and try their free samples of everything cherry: salsa, BBQ sauce, coffee, jelly, chocolate covered cherries and many more. You can also do a tasting of their collection of amazing cherry wines. In my more recent visit you could have up to 5 samples of select wines for free. Although everything seems a bit pricey, the cherry wine is definitely worth the extra dollar.The staff are also generally friendly and respectful.

Stopped in at 8:55 right before close and the staff was awesome. Helped me create a great gift basket and suggested some wines for the holidays. The staff didnt rush me out even tho it was a little after 9. Great customer service.

I just love going to the Cherry Republic store in downtown Ann Arbor. I always send tasty gifts to my friends in Florida. This time I got the sweetheart gift box and added few more items and a card. They will ship it to FL and mu friend will be able to taste the flavors of MI.

Imperial pretzels are amazing, and I LOVE the cherry salsa. Everyone in the store was very kind and helpful!

Bought a gift set for over $120 (pretzels, malt balls, chocolate covered cherries, etc). And EVERYTHING was stale. Had to spit out everything I tried. Extremely unacceptable, especially for a large order and repeat customer. This was my go-to any time I thought of getting someone a gift from Michigan. Never again. What an embarrassment.

Michigan cherries! You can buy an assortment of chocolate covered cherries, dried fruit, wine, soft drinks, cherry salsa! They are great for presents. I just noticed they have some beauty products like hand cream, soaps, candles... The staff is very helpful and the prices are good for what you are buying. You can taste most of their products at the shop.

Worth a visit at the very least. Much of the merchandise is a bit beyond my acceptable price range, but theres a great variety and youll definitely find one or two things that fit your interests. They put out most of the products for sampling too, which makes the visit worthwhile by itself. The staff are always really warm and welcoming without being pushy. Great place.

A unique shop where everything is made with cherries! I had a lot of fun tasting different products there. Bought some cookies and teas back. Would definitely have bought more if I werent going to be on a plane with only a carry-on bag. Their salsa was very tasty!

Cherry Republic is one of my favorite stores in all of Ann Arbor. Their products are absolutely delicious and their staff is always super helpful. It is my go-to place for white elephant Christmas gifts or hostesses favors. Not only do they let you sample most of the products in the store, they will gift box everything for you too! Pure Michigan has never tasted this good.Honestly, I have never had a bad experience here.

This place has snobs for employees. We spent over $30 and the customer in front of us spent over$50 and no one thanked either of us. The parking situation is atrocious and they dont even have a public restroom. We went to the one in Traverse city and it was the exact opposite. I wont be going back to the Ann arbor store again.

Awesome place to buy cherry related foods. Awesome jams and chocolate covered cherrys. Their soda is also good.If youre a fan of cherrys and wanna experience northern Michigan from the comfort of your home this probably isnt the best place because they dont sell cherry scented sand.If youre not interested in that then enjoy a part of what makes northern Michigan awesome, cherrys!

Perfect gift shop for those who prefer local brands. The store has a welcoming staff and samples of most of their products are set up for guests. Want cherry ketchup? They got it. Cherry wine? Yup. Cherry salsa? You get the point. Definitely stop by, youll at least get to taste some delicious samples.

Cherry Republic would be better if it were called Cherry Democracy - or The Socialist State of Cherry. The free samples here of are legit. Theyve got the best types of Cherry wine in the world. Even chocolate Cherry covered coffee beans... its cray. Since they began in 1989 the quality has stayed incredible.

Really enjoy coming here... and to the home base in Glen Arbor! Staff are always so friendly and accomodating. Really love the free samples as well. We bought a four-piece package as a gift for a friends recent award at her work. She enjoys Cherry Republic as much as we do!

Such a fun shop! Some friends recommended shopping into the Cherry Republic shop when we were near Glen Arbor, and we loved it! So we were happy to discover that there was another location closer to home. They provide lots of samples, so it is fun to try all the different cherry products. Some of our favorites are the cherry mocha coffee, the cherry salsa, and the cherry bbq sauce :)

Excellent service, tasty food and drinks, and the people working there are just the nicest folks youd ever meet.I personally loved their port, which I think many might not try on account of being more obscure. But its delicious!

If youre visiting Ann Arbor, this shop is a MUST SEE. Michigan is famous for its cherries and everything in this shop is cherry-themed. Plus, the fact that they let you sample most everything makes this a fun stop. Whenever, I host people from out of town, I make sure to stop here and send them off with some Michigan cherry products.Only drawback is that the prices are a touch high for some things, but even then they arent so unreasonable that I refuse to buy anything. A touch high, but way below the dealbreaker point.

Im so sad that theyve discontinued the best gummy bears in the world that were sold at these stores. Why?... No one knows. They still have other tasty snacks, but I have to decide IF its worth it now? That was my absolute favorite item in the store.

The product WAS absolutely lovey Im sure but my thoughtful and amazingly kind friend, who ordered online, missed the fine print that said it needed to be delivered within two days. Consequently, the dark chocolate covered cherries arrived as a melted mass. I called customer service.The very sweet but unequivocal reply was my hands are tied it was the online purchasers mistake. That kind of reply is such tragic business practice. When I politely said I would remember that, she never even guessed I would remember the lack of support on her part and that I would remember never to order or suggest anyone order from them again!

My fiance and I are in agreement. We are fans (as in the 4-star rating of Yay! Im a fan), but only because of the samples. The samples are really fun, and bring us into a store that we are then happy we went into. As is perhaps obvious from the name, everything here is cherry. With some stuff (like the tortilla chips) it is less obvious, but for the most part you get bursts of cherry in everything. I love getting gifts from here, like the cherry tea or the chocolate-covered cherries. I keep meaning to try their cherry wine, though a few times now Ive gotten a soda and then strolled Main Street. You do want to bring the bottle back for the extra-hefty deposit, but the whole tradition is nice on a summer day.

Free tasting virtually everything they have stocked on shelves, which is great. Plus their gift wrapping is free of cost as well. Great place to buy gifts for friends visiting out of town.

Michigan regional brand. I noticed this when I travelled to northern Michigan. The cherry based variety of food is chewy or tasty or sweet or sour. I love them all!

I worked at the original Cherry Republic for several years during high school. The Ann Arbor location tends to lack a certain personality that the original has, which is not necessarily anyones fault but is markedly less awesome. I dont feel at home there as much as I do up north!

There are samples of what Im assuming are there more popular items, and if a sample is not already available they open one up so you are sure you are going to enjoy your purchase. Ill be the first to admit, in my two dozen or so visits, Ive probably only purchased one or two things. New Years Resolution: buy a couple more things this year. Not because the product lines are particularly unusual or difficult to find elsewhere, but because this store has dutifully filled a niche that the city of Ann Arbor is for some reason reluctant to provide: a free downtown activity for kids and adults where you dont have to constantly work to keep your kid from running in the street. Now lets just delve into that a bit...during the most recent election, voters decided that they would rather have a PARK than a 17-story luxury hotel catering only to the rich shee-shees that have been taking over the city. The mayor, in his infinite sleazedom, continues to ignore the voters and work behind the scenes to pursue his luxury hotel dreams. Why? Bribe money? Perhaps. I cant think of many other explanations. Now I ask you - do you like to feel disenfranchised by your own representative? Anyhow, without that park, there is presently nowhere other than the library itself and the occasional festival where I can bring my youngun downtown for some free, safe fun. Nowhere that is, except CHERRY REPUBLIC - where the sampling is simply OFF THE FREAKIN HOOK! So many tasty things - cherry gummies, chocolate-covered cherries, pretzels/chips and dips, dried cherries. OMG, amazeballs. This store is a gem. Moar, plz.

They were out of their Balaton wine when I went, apparently their harvest wasnt that good the previous year so they werent able to produce as much. At least thats what the gentleman working there told us. This store doesnt have as much as the one in Traverse City but it still suffices when I get a craving for muh cherry sours :-D
