This shop is horrible, unprofessional work ethic, DONT EVER GO HERE!!! I got 4 new tires shipped there from Amazon to get them installed my appointment was at 1pm left there around 4pm due then being slow. Plus that’s not it they broke my tire pressure sensor, total idiots working there, they don’t care about your car. Carlos however got new ones and had them installed but still the tpms light wasn’t going away until I went to the dealer. Be aware the waiting area is disgusting, absolutely poor management, I don’t recommend this shop to anyone.
This store is poorly managed. Amelio, the service manager called me once after I contacted customer care about my complaint. Get to the store and an appointment to get 4 new tires installed waited almost an hour and half then the advisor calls me and say they cant find the 4th tire. Like what!!! You had me sit here all this time and you dont have all four tires. Amelio, called me one time left a message I called him back multiple times still no answer. He dont even call from his personal or work number. He calls from the store knowing hes not going to be there everyday. The pep boys down here needs to be closed. Or FIRE AMELIO!!! THE STORE IS FILTHY! COULDNT EVEN FIND A SPACE TO PARK SO MANY ABANDONED CARS IN THE LOT. I will never return.
Waiting area is quite small. There are seats in the selling area and waiting outside is ok. Adequate parking with Popeyes and Shilla bakery across the street.
The 1 star rating is not for their expertise, but just total lack of professionalism with their scheduling. My car sat there for 4 days and they did not even check it once. It started with me walking in on Wednesday 9/22, and they gave me an appointment for 8AM Tuesday 9/28. I left the car there on time, expecting to get a call later after they diagnose. I called at end of day and they said the technician did not get a chance today. End of next day I was told there were 6 cars ahead of me and the tech cannot check mine until hes done. I asked if I could take the car and bring it back when technician is ready. Carlos said the technician will only see it if the car stays there. So I complied. On Thursday I call in the afternoon, the call was picked up and I was put on a 20 min hold after which I had to hang up and try again later. They never picked up my call after that. Friday 10/1 afternoon I called and found out there were still 2 cars ahead of me. At this point I was at my wits and soon after picked up my car from them, as it is. Never seen this kind of poor scheduling, complete disregard for my time, and also zero attempt at consoling a potential new customer. Terrible!
Update: Pepboys quickly assessed the issue, which was a nail and mended the tire. I need to change my rating as this was not an installation issue as my insurance vendor had suggested. The front desk even offered a courtesy Lyft to get back to the location.Friendly front desk staff but my tires were not installed correctly and they forgot to place my spare back in the car. Understaffed, under trained, or just sloppy. This is dangerous! My tire fell off the wheel while driving, thankfully it was at 25mph. I will update the review after they look at it and the service given. Either way, this endangers lives.
Very bad service! I made an appointment and arrived on time. I passed my keys and 40 minutes later my car was still sitting in the same spot I left it. I went to the desk and simply asked for my keys. The unprofessional man behind the desk went and got my keys and handed them to me without saying a word! Not a Im sorry, not a would you like to reschedule, not a single word. I now fully understand the care they would have taken with my car. Soon guess its not a terrible thing after all. I will never return for service here again!
For 2-tire (Amazon-purchased) mount and balance job, waited 2 hrs on Aug 5, 2021. Now sitting at Pep Boys again 9 days later because the tires were so out of balance the car shuddered. So far, have waited for 1.5 hours on Sat morning appointment, no end in sight. Will the tires be balanced?
The mechanic who worked on my car, his name is GT, did a great job. He installed new tires & brakes for me. You can trust GT with your car servicing needs.
Made an appointment with “30 percent off”through their. their website but the clerk kept saying that we should provide a coupon code. I presented my phone to him and showed him clearly the promotion/coupon “30 percent off” and he still asked me to provide a code. Please train your employees better or response to the IT department . Thanks.
My recent experience with the Annandale Pep Boys was a very pleasant one. The fantastic customer service is short of excellent. The managers are very well aware of the pandemic situation, therefore, keeping a very safe distance within the store makes it a comfortable place to visit. Very clean and pleasant environment. will not hesitate to recommend this location to family and friends.Thank you for all you do, keep up the great work.
I had a great experience during my recent visit. The manager Jason was very knowledge and helpful. He answered all of the questions I had (which was many) and was very fair and honest with the work that needed to get done. I appreciated his honesty and the service completed by his team. Will come again in the future.
I cant begin to tell you how amazing the service was at this place. I bought a set of hubcaps and asked Carlos, a service technician how much to install them. Most places want at least $50+ to do, but he simply looked at the box of hubcaps and said Free. He removed the old, damaged ones on my car and seamlessly installed the new ones. He was so nice and went above and beyond. I highly recommend this location for any of your automotive repair or tire needs.
My family has been coming to the shop for years. Everyone is professional, competent, capable, and doesn’t try to upsell you or rip you off for anything. I appreciate everyone!
Scheduled a Sunday noon appointment late Saturday night, they took it in right away. It needed a new battery, Id found an online coupon for a different brand but they honored it anyway, done in half hour. THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I could not shake the feeling that the employees were intentionally trying to rip me off during my visit. I will not be returning.Update: Contacted pep boys as requested, still have not received any response from them.
Took a lil over three hours to replace two tires, with little if any customer service
Too Expensive for the labor and the wait is too long even if you get an appointment. I have not done my car with them because of the price, so I do not know what their service is like TBH
Knowledgeable guys, great service cant complain thus far.
Great overall experience. Didn’t feel pressured to pay for service after bringing my car and every staff member was knowledgeable and more importantly helpful. Highly recommend this location
Greeted at door, great service, new tires at a good cost and out faster than expected ....
Deceitful and untrustworthy - avoid this establishment all together. I brought both of my vehicles for state inspections and they failed me on both for various issues including rear brakes/rotors. My breaks and rotors were perfectly fine (on one car they were practically brand new), so I took them to another shop and both vehicles passed inspection just fine.
Bad service, worse if they are women they take advantage, I come from New Jersey and I am just learning what a car has to have to obtain plates and registration it turns out that I already had the valid registration and they took away the one I already had and they charged me for a new one. What I say is if they see that you already have to say look, lady, you already have a current one, anyway, do you want to make a new one? and on top of that they changed me 2 tires for $ 500 they charged me even because I breathed inside their premises
I brought my truck in to get serviced as my AC stopped working. I had a 10am appointment and the assistant manager Jairo told me that it would be about two hours as they had to remove and replace all the AC fluid. It was almost immediately after giving Jairo my keys that my truck was brought into the shop and got started on. They now have two waiting rooms and the staff is great.
Pep Boys in Annandale has the really bad service, there isnt parking for customers, the parking space is used by uber cars. The worst store to go to buy parts for cars todays. The part that I did place order two weeks ago wasnt neither ordered.I dont think they have an idea how to manage customers.
If I could give zero stars I would. Had an appointment at 6 PM, I showed up 10 mins before & he finished at 7:15 PM. All this waiting for an oil change that SHOULD take 20 minutes tops. Who ever the mechanic was is the most unprofessional person I have encountered. Took an hour and 15 minutes because he was on his phone either on facetime/social media taking videos outside. First and last time to ever spend money at this establishment.
Fair service. My vehicle was completed 13 minutes before they closed. If I arrived after 7pm they wouldnt be able to assist me. Took them 4 hours to complete a simple battery change on a DODGE. NOW MY HORN NO LONGER WORKS SMFH.
Great customer service. Quality workmanship from technicians/mechanics. Service bays stay full so they must be doing good service in the community.
Managers will take care of you
Twice now Ive placed an internet order and have never received a call saying its ready. On both occasions I show up two days later and the order was never pulled. They also have a new computer system which nobody knows how to use and its making the process of returning a core very difficult. The appearance of the store is also less than stower. They are literally piles of trash around the parking lot, trash cans are overflowing. Its just dirty inside.
Nice customer service. Services were perfect. Thank you.
This is my second and last service with them. The first time they created all the fuss about adding an online coupon, but this time the experience was even worst. I had to wait 4+ hrs for just an oil change. And that too when I come with a scheduled appointment. And it wasnt just me ... Very badly managed. The management should really pull up with their staff and get the house in order.
Thay are ridiculous when thay fix your car thay well mess it more intentionally to make you spend more money .the white young Chabyy boy in reseption at repair center. he is weird and rude .he well ask you extra money for his pocket .after you pay all the service fee.management have to watch this young weird man he is robing the costumer.
Call good
My car wouldnt start and the service manager Emilio was really helpful walking me through the process of getting my car to Pep Boys and keeping me updated with what it needed. The staff was really knowledgable and didnt try adding on extra unnecessary fixes. Definitely will be returning for further services.
A leaking tire was fixed properly, but it was not a good experience considering the Coronavirus pandemia. Theres no social distancing respect nor proper mask use among employees (most use it as a chin guard, or keep it hanging from one ear). Worse, they constantly walk near or through customers that way. Calling their attention worked for 2 minutes, then they were back to the old normal. I relied on Pep Boys for services, but Im not coming back anytime soon.
Hi ThereI was on the store the last 29’ the manager and worker both agree w the wrong Balance services, after that the say I have to waiting another 2/3 hours, Why I have to wait and waste my time ? if u guy’s Make everything wrong and Agree & Assume the Mistake. Then U Guy’s offer waiting 20 min offer me a Credit Store instead my Full Refund (Thee Manager The short Guy) Come Be serious on Business, I just leave the Store & The Credit Store and Open a Dispute over The Store, The Place is very disorganize. After that I Prefer return 100% Just Tire..SincerelyNicolas
Just do an appointment and all is well😎
Edit: The wonderful man who helped me did not charge for the oil change because of how late they ran. I appreciated his dedication to customer service.I made an appointment for 11 AM this morning to get an oil change. Thats it. I come in a little bit before 11 get my car in and told itll be an hour and a half. I feel thats a bit long but I budgeted time so its fine. Its now been almost 2 and a half hours. I went out to ask and saw someone go into the garage. Only then did they start working on my car. This kind of service is ridiculous. What is the point of an appointment???
Edited: Service manager at Pep Boys contacted me later and offered to adjust the price when I made an appointment. He explained it was a glitch in the system price. Thank you.Wouldn’t recommend here at all. Price and promotion that show on pep boys website doesn’t apply here even you have proof of screen shots of price when you made an appointment. This is fault advertisement to lure people in and pay for higher price.
The boys are very professional and helpful. They went out of their way to help me and make sure I got the service I needed fast. They also answered my questions and explained things to me that they didnt have to. Great 5 stars service and prices are very affordable.
This was my first experience with this location and it was pretty dramatic. I had 4 new tires put in, which I brought with me, and alignment. It took nearly six hours for them to complete the service. The explanation that I got was that their wheel mounting and balancing machine wasnt working to its full capacity and my tires were too big for it to handle. I have 20 tiers. The good part was that the staff was very courteous, and it seems like they did a pretty good job putting the new tires back on balancing them and doing the alignment. Now, I will have my final review after a week or so, after Ill make sure that my car is driving straight and I have no issues with balancing.
I have been using this store as my go to auto repair shop for about a year now. Service is always friendly and for the most part pretty timely. They are a busy store so I highly advise scheduling an appointment. Parking is also is short supply but Ive always been able to find a spot. The repairs are always done well, and I have not once been subjected to the usual auto part dance of being told that I need extra repairs or fancier parts. They actually have never exeeded the price quotes often coming in a little under, so you know what you are told is what you will be paying.Over all one of the best places I have been for car repairs and work in 12 years of driving.Update: bought a battery back in October that ended up having a bad cell. Brought it back in and had the quickest and pain free warranty exchange. New battery was even tested to make sure it wasnt having the same issue. Ciro went above and beyond. Upgraded from 4 to 5 stars.
I put in an online order that shouldve been ready for pickup the same day.I didnt get any notification of the order being ready, called the store to check the status 2 days later was told the power steering pump is still not there and would come later in the day and Id get a call when it arrived.I did not get a call since it was Friday I waited three more days and I called again this time I was told they cant fulfill online orders because there is a new system and I need to call the 800 number to get a refund. Tried to call the number was on hold for over 10minutes and got disconnected. Pep Boys is a total joke.
Horrible Customer service .I wont ever be going back.1. I ordered 2 new tires from Amazon and make an installation appointment on Saturday 2 pm (05/30). I have confirmed my appointment on Friday. When I arrive at 1:50 PM on Saturday, Front Desk Service Guy, (Arion - I dont remember exactly) told me it will take 3 to 5 hours for tire change service and to re-schedule it next week. No Apology /No Sorry. He doesnt even have courtesy to call ahead. what is the point of making appointment? Dont waste your customer time. I decided not to use their service and took my tire and left. I will look for tire service in somewhere else.Stay away from unprofessional and horrible customer Service place to save your time and money.
After several emails, Pep Boys made good on my bad experience. I hate that it took as long as it did but very satified that things did work out for the best. THANKS PEP BOYS!
Worst shop ive been to ever! I came in to get all my tires replaced after work around 5pm. First the guy at the customer service counter tried to sell me on tires and services I didnt need. After telling him which exact tires I wanted, he then went on to try to make me pay $300+ more than the actual price. After stating its was buy 3 get one free, he then replied Oh i forgot to take it off the final price. I went on to ask him if they could take me today and how long. He responded with Oh just submit it online and we can take you today. We can get it done by 6:30pm. 6pm came and my car had not even moved. I talked to one guy in the waiting room who said he has been there since 2:30pm. At 5:45pm they took his car out of the bay, ready to give it back to him only to bring it back in. They had forgotten to do his alignments. So i decided to cancel my service and left. Overall the experience was terrible. If I hadnt done my research online before arriving, I wouldve overpaid. 1* because prices are great otherwise zero star. Will not go back or recommend.
I had a wonderful experience at the Annandale Pep Boys. At first I wasnt sure if I was going to be able to get an appointment since the office was closing soon, but Max really took care of my tire needs after learning about the one flat Rear tire I had. Not only was he able to squeeze me in, but the process was very quick. Thank you so much for your service Max!
I would give it a 2 star because the employees would take forever because they like to smoke outside when no one is looking. I found this out when I went with my grandma to go to Popeyes, she saw almost all of the employees smoking. She told me that no wonder it would take them forever. They are really good at fixing cars but they would usually take forever on the stuff that needs to get done.
Very good servis.. My car (Toyota corolla) was Allaiment problem..They did very good job.. Thanks guys
The average going rate for an automotive mechanic is $80 an hour plus or minus based on the complexity of the job. This automatic shop quoted me at over $160 for a job that takes less than 30 minutes to do which is taking out six bolts and replacing the part I already ordered and have in hand. Please do your research and make sure you are being properly quoted and not being price gauged or overcharged for labor. I found other automotive shops now that quoted me $80’s or less for labor.
I love my car and my car loves tender loving care....tires oil changes etc....
If you appreciate honesty, professionalism and your bank account- find another mechanic.I made an appointment to get my AC topped off. Online the price is $40. Over the phone when I made an appointment they told me itll be closer to $55 with taxes etc. No worries.I showed up for my appointment and... They didnt have a mechanic who could work on A/C that day.So I rescheduled. This time the mechanic went home early. I was frustrated but it was the closest shop to my house so I tried a third time. When I showed up first thing in the morning the mechanic was there but the price had jumped over $200! Check out their website- non of their listed prices are near $200- and I have a small car.In summary they couldnt manage to keep two appointments and then jacked the price up 400% from what they quoted online, what they quoted over the phone and what they quoted in person.Best decision of my whole experience was walking out the door.
If only 0 stars were an option...AVOID THIS PLACE. Full of incompetent, unapologetic employees and managers.Im not the type of person to write negative reviews (Ill say 95% are positive). This place is incredible.Took daughters 2013 Honda Fit for new tires and alignment. Had to return the next day due to the car veering off to the right. They fixed it. No explanations when asked what happened.2019 CRV. First oil change and tire rotation. Drove off when suddenly, heard a loud clanging noise coming from the engine. Turned right around and brought it to them. Cause? Screwdriver had been left on top of the engine. Reason? New guy. Went to manager/cashier-no direct eye contact, just yeah, I told the other manager. No apology, no offer to look and see what possible damage that screwdriver may have done pin balling all around inside the engine.Called Customer Service and expecting a call back to see where I can take car to have it looked at properly.
The lady at the counter was amazing. Helped me with everything that need to replace my battery on the spot. Excellent service. Thank you
Had a battery replaced and was in and out in 30 minutes. Both the service counter guy and the mechanic were prompt, efficient, and friendly. To top it all off, when I opened the hood to check, the battery they installed was manufactured only two months ago - about as fresh a battery as you can reasonably find. Very highly satisfied.
I really cant understand why this place is in business. They are the slowest people I ever came across. Whats the point in making an appointment? I brought my car to have a tire looked at, it turns out my sensor was bad. I ask whats the earliest you can put it on? He said right now. So Im waiting and no ones touching my car. So idk whats going on and then he informs me they had to send for the part. What happened to communicating with the customer. They need a whole new crew and clean the damn place on a regular . If I could of gave them a zero thats what I would of done.
Every time man every time! When I ask them what I need kind of basic stuff they don’t have. last time asked one of them locking fuel tank cap he said no again!
Good at what they do, but the guys at the desk, in a relatively tight space, were not wearing masks in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic. I guess they dont care about their customers health (or their own).
They helped us fix/replace two wheels that were damaged in an accident, replace four tires, and realign everything. When we drove away, it was clear that the alignment was still wrong, but Pep Boys did it again without any stress or hassle. **We got this service just as quarantines and isolation were ramping up. Pep Boys went the extra mile by finding safe ways to keep working.** Thank you for taking care of us!
Put in an online order for tires over the weekend. Appt time was for Mon. at Noon. Show up for my appt. No tires. Told by an employee that they need to be ordered. Unclear why that wasnt communicated prior to showing up for a scheduled appt. Told to come back Tues at 10am. I tell them Ill call first to verify the tires have arrived. I call Tues and find out they werent ordered. Manager says hell put in the order. I call today (Weds) and am on hold and call is dropped. I call back again and am left on hold for over 30 mins. Really poor experience.
I have an utter lack of trust and complete frustration with this Pep Boy store. It has been awhile, if ever, that I have felt this let down by a company. We got four new tires from this store in May of 2017. The front two have since worn down and are needing to be replaced. Since we had driven far fewer miles than they are warrantied, we asked about prorated tires. We scheduled an appointment for Tuesday at 1. At this appointment, they would check our tread and give me a quote for prorated tires, considering the fact that we had not rotated them consistently. He told my husband, Usually the tires come to about $20 each. This seemed too low to be accurate, but still figured prorated would be better than buying new from my usual repair shop.I arrived with my baby for our scheduled appointment, only to circle the entire parking lot twice, before finding a spot. I was directed to the service station by a friendly front desk worker. The service technician, however, was the complete opposite of helpful. He couldnt find my appointment, gave no straight answers, hardly talked to me at all. I had to guide him the whole way, replaying what my husband had been told, and asking questions regarding the process that he should have known and communicated to me.After computer freeze ups, him fumbling through my account, and my insistence to get the tread checked, he instructed me to pull my car around to the garage, behind another car being worked on.I did as he instructed, while another service tech checked my tires. He told me what I knew, the front two need replacing and we need an alignment. When I inquired his quote for prorated tires, he quickly announced hes not the guy and Ill have to go back into the shop for that. I asked if it was ok to leave my van while I got the quote (for fear of never finding another spot again) and he assured me Oh yes, this car (pointing to the car in front of me) isnt moving for a long time! Youre fine!So I lugged my son back in to the service shop while I waited yet again for the computer to operate and to get a quote. It seemed like a simple process, but I was quickly realizing this was a huge ordeal. He gave me a quote that was higher than my regular service shop, over $200 plus alignment. I was floored. I figured it wouldnt be $20 a tire, but I could not believe that was the cost of the prorated tires. Even without the alignment, we were far under the 50,000 miles they are warrantied for. While Im in the shop, a tech comes in asking me if Im the owner of the van. He told me they needed to move my car. After I was just guaranteed I could leave it for the few minutes it took to finish up my quote. It isnt a huge deal they needed to move my car, but it was another time what I was told was false. After explaining the quote was extremely high, another tech took over my account and he negotiated with me until he came to $148 (total) and hed waive the alignment. Feeling drained by the whole process, I asked if it was something I could get done soon. I was told the tires would have to be ordered and it would take a few days, but theyd call me when they were in. I left my number and double checked my husbands number.I called back a few days later to check on the status of the tires. I was told they were still being shipped and might be delayed with the snow, but Let me check on them and Ill call you this afternoon with an update. I never got that update, nor did my husband.Days passed, no update. When I called to check up, more than a week later, no one answered the phone. I emailed the manager of the store, nothing.Ive had a horrible experience with this shop. I cant even fathom all the lies and difficulties weve had. From scheduling appointments, parking cars, never getting a straight answer, to still being without new tires, I feel completely duped and taken advantage of. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this shop. I sure wish I had.
I went in for a simple oil change and walked out with $600 in repairs needed. The technician forgot to put the oil cap back on my car. Drove around like that all weekend while the hot oil was leaking all over and destroying some of my (3) hoses, ultimately causing coolant to leak everywhere. This resulted in an explosion of steam and my car stalling on the George Washington Memorial Parkway during rush hour in the morning. It took me two days for anyone from PepBoy’s to even get back to me. Throughout the process, they were unresponsive as well. When I finally got my car back, no one even apologized to me or acknowledged fault. Then as soon as I drove off, my check engine light came back on and my car started steaming again because the job was not done properly. Now I get to start the process of trying to get them to respond and fix their mistakes all over again.I would love if someone handled this properly and reached out to apologize for all the damage done to my car when I simply went in for an oil change.I highly recommend you take your car elsewhere if you want the job done and the job done well. Take it somewhere where the people car about your vehicle.
The service us excellent here! And I believe it was Shannon who was managing at the time when I needed assistance with spark plugs and my radiator hoses and knowing that I did not have a car she offered to drop off the spark plugs to my parking lot where the vehicle was parked! Talk about above and beyond and being remarkable. Since then Ive had nothing but great experiences.
I just had a battery replaced. Pep Boys had the best price around with free installation. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I was pleased with the experience.
Friendly and helpful but did not find what I needed.
I actually really love Pep Boys. They’re definitely my go to Auto place but I have to say this location definitely dropped the ball! I made an appointment online for an oil change and ended up having to wait 2 and a half hours for service. I wouldn’t have minded the wait so much if I felt like they actually did what they were supposed to do! When I got my car back the “maintenance oil and filter” warning was still on-which has never been the case after I’ve gotten my oil changed. I’m not sure if he didn’t put enough oil in or didn’t change it properly. I don’t know. Whatever the case though, the pop up is still there even the next day. Also, I told them I believe that I have a hole in my back passenger side tire and if they could find the hole WHILE DOING THE TIRE ROTATION and plug it that would be great. When Kelsey was ringing me up she said that he could not find the hole. I said “fine that’s okay well did he at least rotate the tires?” She told me yes and finishes ringing me up. While she’s finishing Seth the person who worked on my car walks by and she asks him if he rotated the tires on my car (but I thought you already said he did? 🙄) he says yes. I pay and leave. I have a button on my car that allows me to check the PSI on my tires while driving. I press the button and lo and behold the bad tire is still on low pressure and STILL in the same exact spot. If my tires were rotated as both people told me they were why hadn’t the “bad” tire been shifted? If I’m going to fork out $60 for an oil change I expect you to render me the services you were suppose to render me!! Like I said, I love Pep Boys but I was beyond disappointed with the service from this location. It seems as though they do a rush job and do not have integrity in their work. Definitely won’t be returning back here!
I had a new battery installed over a year ago (purposely waited to make sure there were no premature issues). Price was fair and service was prompt. I was especially impressed with the assistant manager. Unfortunately I didnt get her name (Hispanic lady, maybe mid-30s). She ran the show like a real pro, fielding questions left and right.
Well theyre going to hook my car up The people at there are friendly very helpful theyre thorough about what they ask you and what was going on to help diagnose the issue before they even start the work doesnt seem like theyre trying to overcharge you just saying well take a look at it
I just went there to do an exchange damaged item. The lady manager(she looked like a manager) gave me the best customer service. She was very professional and did apologize for what had happened. Awesome 👌👌👌👌👌👌 service. She right away she knew what the problem was and kindly helped me out quick and efficient.Well I came around 9:30 on a Monday so 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I guess come early to get good service 🙂🙂
Overall a good experience- the online appointment system is worthless, you essentially have to take your chances and hope they get you out in a decent amount of time. Pep Boys has become my new go-to after less than stellar service from Koons... this location in particular has done fantastic work at a fair price, and even stayed well after closing to finish the job, and for that I have to say Thank You!
Horrible service! Three days to get a set of tires put the car! First day sat for 2 hours only to be told they didnt have the tires. Second day, another hour again same story. Day 3 finally they got the tires. Took them 4.5 hours put them on. Horrible!
Very good service. I have been coming here for many years and highly recommend it
Prior to going I spoke to a person on the phone who tried to help but had a lack of knowledge and bad comprehension skills. If you go to the physical storefront, beware of the giant crater right when you pull in off of John Marr drive or you might need an axle repair in addition to whatever else youre there for!
I had an unpleasant experience during my visit on January 11th, 2020 at 7:30pm. Sales clerk who rang me up was listening to podcast while interacting with me and kept laughing to the extent where I felt uncomfortable. I came back to the store the next day, January 12th, 2020 at 3:30pm, and it was a different guy at the register this time. I raised my concern regarding my visit the other day and this new guy was truly apologetic and showed professional manner which came to me as a huge surprise. I will give it an another try at this store. I forgot to ask his name but his ID is cashier#471681.
Online pickup doesnt really work. You do better to just walk in and grab the item off the shelf. I think the employees are generally well-meaning, but just not all that knowledgeable about their stuff.
I bought a new car battery, got 20% off with online coupon, manager offered to check out my existing battery before it got replaced- free, then staff made me aware of the air filter being really dirty and the wiper blades that needed replacing so I did, again install was free and I got a great price on the items. I was in and out in under an hour. The manager and the staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. Also, I was informed of the rewards program at the time of my visit. This store is definitely on my map for future car service needs. Thank you Pep Boys!
Making an appointment online was easy. Had a rear tire appointment booked for 10-11 on a busy Saturday. I arrived at 9:50. When I checked in, I declined front end work. Vehicle entered a bay right at 11. First twenty minutes were spent under the hood, and examine the front end. I know most shops do this, but I waived off the front end recommded work. Took 40 minutes for the rear tires to be done. Left a few minutes after noon.
My experience at this pep boys location was very pleasant! Adrian was great! GT my technician was very helpful and knowledgeable about my car (2016 Nissan Sentra) He was able to assist me in replacing my key pad battery, and give me the right information regarding the best oil change type for my car. The Service here was amazing and efficient!
I love this store the have or order everything I need in here. Rey helpful and the Lyft Rep leaves early and does not follow threw but there is a few serious wonderful things about the service in this store. I can get my car parts for classic cars ordered by the staff here saving me lots of money they will fix everything I own if I ask tires battery and much more. Manny more and jack would be proud of thus team they have in this store well worth doing business with them.
Took my car to get serviced here after the dealership messed up everything and to get new tires. Cant remember the guy who helped me but he was excellent. Gave me great prices on everything. It took some time for me to get my warranty info but once they had it it was done by the end of the day. The dealership wanted $2100 dollars and Pe Boys did it for less than $500. Outstanding and will be back for any servicing to my cars.
Fabio (I think that was his name) was very helpful. He was very honest with what my options were in getting my car fixed. He even recommended I go back to the original mechanic to get a refund for my defective starter or get it replaced for free by them if its under warranty. Saved me a whole lot of trouble and money
It is a love/hate relationship. Love the prices especially when ordering online and I get the discount. Also had great experience in the service center. Was swapping existing tires to newly finished wheels and the tech actually asked me if I wanted weights on the inside of the wheel. How thoughtful. Not too happy with the store inside, always seems in a state of chaos, stuff on the floor not stocked on the shelves, cant find parts with ease, kind of grungy for a Pep Boys.
It was an overall great experience. From the time I walked in to the time I checked out, everything was done in a quick and efficient manner. You can tell it is a well managed store, especially the service side. If they read this keep up the good work.
Terrible customer service!People are busy! Thats why I made the appointment! Dont come here if you are a busy person!!!I had an appointment at 01:00 pm, I got there 15minutes early and they still didn’t take my car.I was waiting for one hour and 15 minuets, and no one came to pick up my car.If you would like to waste your time go to Pep Boys. The manager was disrespectful guy. There is ZERO MANAGEMENT or ZERO LEADERSHIP in this store.
Its just one of those places you can tell people just show up to work to get a check but could really careless about customer service or providing you with incorrect information about your car. The guy tried to give me automatic transmission oil for my car when I have a 6 speed manual. Had I not pressed him on the matter, I would have just taking his word and install automatic transmission oil in my car. Its just lazy work here. I understand you have to get customers in and out but at least provide customers the correct information.
Cannot get a hold of anyone! Ive now been on the phone for 11 minutes and 45 second and counting. I need to get a hold of the service department to check status of a vehicle. Even called back to parts department who quickly shoved me away right back to the non-existent service department. This is a joke. Where is the management? The employees obviously do not care. I wold hope their management does. Over 15 minutes now!! Good luck and beware all who enter
Great prices and lots of supplies. Friendly and knowledgeable employees. Great customer service
I did not enjoy anything but the actual services performed on my vehicle. The alignment feels good on my vehicle thats why I gave them 2 stars. But, I made an appointment and still it took over 2 hours to get it this done. The guy did now I had an appointment, all staff looked like their happiness was sucked out of them. The appearance of the establishment looked dirty. Employees besides being unfriendly, a lot of them looked shady. Only came here for their lifetime alignment.
I went to exchange an item and two staff members in the back commercial account said it can only be done by manager.Too lazy to do the work or don’t want to help customer? We have commercial account and buy lot of products.
GREAT SERVICE!!! JAIRO AND HIS TEAM ARE THE BEST HELPFUL AND EFFICIENT! WORKED QUICKLY AND MADE SURE MY CAR WAS IN GREAT CONDITIONS!
Pep Boys has very good prices, especially on tires (be sure to shop their on-line specials; they offer some excellent deals on tires), the employees are friendly, but the service center is slow -- if you bring your car in for service, of any kind, expect to spend several hours there. The waiting room is very small, the chairs are hard plastic/uncomfortable, the room is packed with customers, and the WiFi doesnt work (or didnt when I was there, anyway). Recommend having someone pick you up and drop you off rather than waiting there for your auto service to be completed.
Nice experience. Although one told me they do not carry the part I was looking for, the manager came and told me that they do have it. Of course I bought it and already installed.
I always experience great service when I come here. I never have a problem. They tell you what you need and its up to you whether you want it done. Sometimes they can be busy but that cause thats the only legit place people around annandale will go to.
I came to this Pep Boys to get my front passenger break like changed. I went home with a cracked back passenger rim, popped tire, and a lost locking lug nut key. They tried to charge me for parts to fix my vehicle. Part I only need because they broke them themselves. So I wouldn’t recommend this Pep Boys to anyone that cares about their car and wants quality work. Take your car to a place that has machines that aren’t rushing and who are thorough.
I hate to only give them one start, the service representative was certainly nice enough, but it took them 8 hours to replace 4 tires. They initially told me I didnt have an appointment, then found out I was booked under the wrong name, then they had to send a driver to pick up tires I had already bought online. After being told my car was going in at 12pm I called at 3:45 and the work was still not complete. This was truly a comedy of errors. With something as important as the safety of my vehicle, I wouldnt wish this experience on anybody and I sure wont trust them with any future work.
These guys are a bunch of crooks. I took my car in after they worked on my brakes a year ago. Charged me 600+ dollars then for what turned out to be nothing. I was on 495 and my brakes went totally out. I took it back to get them pretenders to stand behind their work and they charge me 1500.00 saying it wasnt relevant and another brake pipe broke. So I let them order the parts, 6 piece kit to replace the brake line. I know if they tried this with me, they are doing this everyday. They lie and say they are installing parts and end of stealing your parts and doing nothing or tampering with it because you complained about it. I caught them red handed. I will never use or recommend Pep Boys Annandale for NOTHING. They installed 2 parts on my brakes out of the 6 pieces and wanted 1500.00. Tried to keep the parts which they kept one piece of the 6, gave me back 3 pieces after I wouldnt leave without the parts I paid for. Thats robbery!! They got one star because the rating systems wont let you give a Zero star, which they truly deserve. Beware, do not go to this place for nothing. Starting with the sales guys and the mechanic, they are a bunch of lying crooks.
The staff was really friendly. One member who wasnt sure about my question went outside and asked a mechanic. I wasnt expecting that good service, especially in this day and age.
