The staff was courteous and professional. I got there early and only had to wait about 5 minutes before they brought me in to begin the eye exam. The doctor was nice and explained what was going to happen following the exam. All around very good.

Another year, another great experience at Annandale Eyecare. This time I brought my brother as a new patient with me and everyone at the office welcomed us warmly. Briana was super accommodating and sweet. She made the “eye picture” portion efficient and didn’t waste any time before Dr. Courtney came in. She was also very easy to talk to. My brother’s appointment went longer than the estimated 30 minutes, but that wasn’t a problem with any of the employees. They didn’t rush us out and took care of all our issues. Highly recommend this office to anyone! Might have to start bringing my parents too!

Customer Service:The office staff provided fantastic customer service. The appointment began on time and they provided pleasant chit chat at check-in.Bonus: there is also an abundance of working pens at the front desk.Optometrist:Dr was knowledgable, kind and patient. For reasons unknown, she was able to answer my questions more clearly than my previous optometrists.

The entire staff is super friendly and nice and because of that I feel so comfortable every time I go. They all take care of me every step of the way. Even with picking out glasses I always get good assistance to help me with that so I can have the best look. I have stayed with them for so long just because I feel so welcomed and cared for by everyone. And I have been going to Annandale EyeCare for over 15 years.

As always, the doctors and staff are friendly and professional. They run a well-oiled operation so that your in and out quickly and don’t spend much time waiting. Moreover, the location is easy to find and accessible. With the VSP supplemental vision insurance prices are very friendly here too.

I have Aetna Medicare supplemental insurance and was told by Aetna to go to this eye doctor because it is in network I went and got examined and picked out glasses although the cost of living seems to have abruptly gone up. The glasses were expensive and I was educated about the cost of the lenses. Very professional and thorough, especially considering the ongoing COVID restrictions. I must have had my eyes scanned, probed and photographed by half a dozen machines even before a very comprehensive exam by Dr Thielen. She listened carefully to my requirement for a single lens prescription that would allow me to read while still providing adequate distance vision, and we spent consider time optimizing the best solution. I’m also impressed that she manages to tolerate my British sense of humour. This is the “annual check up” I actually look forward to...

I absolutely loved my visit today! I called on the fly today asking for a same day appointment, and they were able to fit me in! From the phone call to the receptionists to the woman who did all of those tests prior to being seen. Everyone was so kind, great customer service! Im from out of town and i always go back home to do all of my doctors visits, but unfortunately my eye doc was out if town the last i went home. Im so happy to find a new eye doc home! The Eye doctor who saw me was personable and funny.I loved the decor! The establishment was clean, beautiful and inviting. I was the very last patient out and the woman who was still there didnt seem at all bothered that it was 20 mins past closing time. The elderly woman who assisted me with my contacts was a peach! I loved her! I will recommend this office to EVERYONE!!

Even as a first time patient (COVID Era), I arrived and left 65 minutes later with my new contacts in! I had not worn contacts for 14 years, since my LASIK surgery. I have been a patient at Annandale Eye Care since the 1960s and have always had great service. When Court and Michelle Thelen took over the practice it move up from gold to platinum standards of service. They are both amazing optometrists who devote plenty of time to each patient. Their equipment is constantly upgraded to ensure they have the most up to date tools to provide a thorough eye examination. The new office is comfortable, welcoming and immaculately clean. The support staff, many of whom have been with the practice for several years, is as good as it gets -- they are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and completely adept at their jobs. Visiting Annandale Eye Care is not like a medical appointment, its a bit more like a long anticipated afternoon with friends. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

As a patient of several years, I continue to be extremely satisfied with my visits to Dr. Thelan at Annandale Eye Care. The reception area and office spaces are very pleasant, with courteous and effective staff. Procedures and testing were done with efficiency and expertise. Most importantly, the doctor explains the options for my eye problems in an understandable and reassuring fashion. Above all the frames I got have held up to not only normal wear and tear, but mishandling by several precious toddlers.

Polite, professional, and competent staff! I was blown away with how much time they spent on my initial exam. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing and my muti-step exam was smooth as silk! They examined my eyes with six (SIX) different machines... !!! A unique and comprehensive experience unlike the national chains I’ve used in the past. They have earned my business and I will recommend them to anyone who needs EyeCare in the future.

Everything has always been top notch here. The one remaining star Im withholding is because there seems to be always an ambush charge on the day of the appointment. You will feel forced to accept and pay additional fee(s) without much choice other than walking out. Its a bit insulting to be treated as if one needs to be ambushed to pay for superior service. Give your patients a choice!

Annandale EyeCare was recommended by my eye surgeon. Since Ive had surgeries for detached retina, I needed a doctor who would understand my vision issues when I was examined for new glasses. I was very impressed with Dr. Thelens knowledge and willingness to listen and answer questions.Their office is a bit of a drive from my home, but it was worth it, knowing I was receiving excellent care. I did need my GPS to locate the building since it is in a rather busy area - but other than that, the entire experience, from appointment setting to choosing new frames, was excellent.

Very bad customer service. I called to book my appointment and was put on hold many times to make an appointment. They asked all my information to set up my profile and set the appointment time. When I came there at the appointment time, they said they did not have appointment for me at all. The profile is in the system but they did not book any appointment. Not professional and waste of time of patient.

Got a pair of glasses that I had second thoughts about. Emailed the office asking about return policy, and the optician called me personally to ask how they could make things right. I stopped by their office and they made some adjustments to the frame. Now Im very happy with my glasses. Very good customer service. Avail yourself to the complimentary mini-fridge while youre there.

Ive been a patient for over 20 years; couldnt ask for a better, more caring doctor than Court Thelen. Ive recommended him and/or his wife, Michelle, to a number of people, all of whom seem as satisfied as I have been. Its good to be in good hands. Good Doc but......Too expensive......My daughter went to Annandale Eye Care. She has worn contact lens for 9 years. She is a military dependent and our family moves frequently and thus she was a new patient. Our insurance does not cover the contact lens portion of the visit. We were charged $168 (included special pictures of the eye that we did not pre-authorize). Additionally, Annandale Eye Care billed our insurance $265. So...for a regular yearly check up, it cost $433.00. WOW. Dont be fooled like I was and ask about prices before you go to Annandale Eye Care. Due to our insurance, we paid $342 out of pocket...
