The cafe is okay, but the area is old and trashed were all over the mall side walks. We walked in a small section crowded with shelves of breads and bakes and people shopping and others lined up to order drinks at the cafe. Chaotic, then two employees started to spray cleaning solutions on one of the shelves. The smell was strong enough to get you moving out of their way. The cafe area is a bit bigger and with more open space. They need to rearrange their store, so it’s not that chaotic. Bakes are pricey but good. We’ll surely come back here. Yum!

EVERYONE DESERVES A CAKE ON THEIR BIRTHDAY! Ordered a cake from them on uber eats and got it delivered to someone, they even write the name on the cake with Happy Birthday. Super convenient, super delicious! Way better than some grocery store cake. THEY EVEN THREW IN SOME CANDLES FOR FREE. I live in Florida sending to a friend in VA so this was awesome of them. Just purchased and had delivered a fresh cream fruit cake. It was beautiful and tasty!! The fruit was fresh and the cake was so light and delicious. The outside is a fresh whipped cream consistency and not crazy sweet which was exactly what I was looking for so you could taste the fruit and vanilla cake. It was delivered in a really cool cake box which kept the whole cake in perfect condition. Our whole family loved it! I will purchase again!!

This little place is great! I got a small chocolate mousse cake with fruit on top and my friends got boba tea. All of it was delicious and not super expensive. The price was worth the quality. The place was very packed, yet it did not stop them from serving quickly and well. I recommend it to people who enjoy bakeries, cakes, bread, boba tea.

My daughter picked a mothers day special cake and we ordered it sometime ago so we would know it would be ready. I went to pick it up today, the day before mothers day, and they seemed confused by my order. After a few minutes they give me a cake and I leave after purchasing other items. I get home and my daughter is upset because the cake they gave is clearly nothing like what is pictured on the internet. It explains their confusion while I was there. They didnt have the ordered cake and used a poor CHEAPER substitutions and didnt even have the decency to tell me. Figured we would not notice. Needless to say we will never use this place again and make sure to spread the word of the deceptive practice towards a mothers day gift. I will try to attach photos do every can see the difference and judge for themselves.

Shilla has HANDS DOWN the best boba in NoVA. Ive tried so many places and no one makes a black milk tea boba smoothie like they do. Also love the Thai tea boba and coffee bing soo.

Small Korean bakery, but the pastries, cookies, and cakes are the best in town. Seating is available, but it gets crowded at lunch time. Staff are efficient and business like. Take out is the best way to shop here.

I am not a cake person but I will not go anywhere else but shilla bakery for cake . They have the best fresh cream cakes. And mango one is my favorite, I usually travel from Stanford to get this cake . But always worth it . By the way this cake is for my son’s first month birthday.

Love this place! The red bean donuts are my personal favorite. They were out when I arrived, but within 5 minutes a fresh, warm batch came out. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. I’ve never had most of these desserts anywhere else, so it always seems special!

Boring and confusing Bakery today before I get to bakery I called them someone answered my phone and I said is it possible that I place order for tomorrow and they said what kind of cake do you need I said for birthday and they said ok come here we will do. It was 8:58 pm when I ordered. Granted that I came in 5 minutes before closing but I never have experience someone not taking the order for their paying customer. I have bought some bakery goods and when I was about to order boba, they told me I apparently can’t order it anymore when 2 people in front of the line still got their drinks counted in. It was very messed up. I used to love this place but that service just makes me not even want to go there at all anymore!!!!!!

My favorite Asian bakery in NOVA.

I like Shilla, its a small bakery with a wide variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and beverages. The flavor spectrum is broad and there may be things youre not accustomed to due to taste buds, flavors, and preparations (different methods of producing food). Their coffee is usually great and I havent had an issue with that. Their boba tea differs from those in Alexandria (areas Ive reviewed) in that Shillas boba is slush-like and on a scale of 1-5 on sweetness, 3.5. The parking situation can be just that, a situation because the plaza theyre located on doesnt have much parking and this bakery is extremely popular.

Shilla Bakery is my favorite.... Going there for years and the taste never changed..... their cakes, cream buns, and chicken croquettes are to die for.....

Got a mango cream cake. It was delicious! Called two days ahead to get it made.

Bought the chocolate mousse cake for a birthday. Was smoother and less heavy than most places. Also, all chocolate mousse without any fruit jam, rum, or other impurities, haha.

My wife and I love this bakery. They have cakes, different types of bread, crossings and more. They also have coffee which makes it a nice spot to start your morning.

Very nice place to catch up with friends. Order a nice drink and enjoy the variety of desert and goodies they have on the shelf. I have a 4 star because the customer service is just ok, they need to smile more so customer feel more warm and welcomed to this place.

They are ok, bobas are one of the best, and their pastries are good as well. Some cashiers are rude and sometime cant really understand what are they saying. Understand rudeness is something common in their country but they should understand that you are not dealing with only people of their own country.

I dont know if today was an off day for them, but the baked goods (soboro, tiramisu and twist dougnhnut) were not good.The soboro bread topping was burnt, tiramisu tasted like it spoiled, and the twist doughnut overtly greasy.Thankfully the red bean bread was still delicious as always.

Great breads but make sure to go not too early or not too late because they either won’t have the breads ready, or they will all be sold out. Best time to go is around 11 when the breads start coming in.

Definitely the best cakes, breads, and pastries around. I always get Shillas birthday cakes for friends and co-workers. You can definitely tell they focus on the taste and freshness of their products.

Bad customer service, both staff didnt even acknowledge me while waiting at the register, I asked her if she could write happy birthday on a cake didnt even acknowledge my request, even though Im paying for it, and then I asked her again if she heard me, rudely she said there was a birthday sign already in the box. I ordered my cake on Saturday morning and I Found fungus on cake. It could be cause food poisoning and health sickness to the people who came for celebration. I trashed whole cake and it spoiled my event.Update: hello store manager, eventually I haven’t kept it outside. I ordered in the morning and we had event in evening, why would I supposed to keep outside, I guess no one would like the warm cake. But I will definitely be in contact with your store manager and will love to share those pictures as well.

This is my wifes favorite bakery in the DC metro area, and possibly the world. They make all kinds of food that you wont see in a Western/European Bakery. They have some sandwiches, teas and coffees, and even Boba tea. Their Citron tea is especially good.

This place had been here forever! Been coming here since child hood and it is busier now than ever. Used to be a student hang out but now its an older crowd, almost touristy. Pastries usually are always fresh but it is definitely pricey compare to other just as great Korean bakeries. They used to have samples of almost everything but today, absolutely no samples. I think they are raising the prices and trying to save cost. There is wifi but they covered all their outlets so you cant charge anything here. Just too bad, almost perfect!

I happened to be in the area, and Googled bakery, and Shilla Bakery and Cafe was one of the bakeries in the search results. The photos uploaded by other Google reviews on this bakery were extremely helpful. I decided to drive by.Upon entering the bakery, I noticed how clean and organized the interior is. They carry Korean baked goods, cakes (sold in slices or whole cake), coffee drinks, babo tea, bingsoo, ice cream, breakfast items... Their prices are middle to higher. I bought 1 Bingsoo and 3 little pastries and the total was almost $13.I never had Bingsoo before, but seen it on YouTube. It was pretty good, but not sure if I will get it again. This bakery is a nice little stop for a snack. It has tables where you can dine in. The ladies restroom is pretty clean. The staff isnt friendly. They appeared to be quiet or pre-occupied, but it wasnt busy. They were helpful when I asked for help. Breakfast looks good. I will definitely stop by again and have breakfast.Updated: I bought a bunch of stuff today! They add up fast! $42! But so worth it. They have a larger selection of baked goods today then the last time I visited. Everything looked so good.Updated: so disappointed that the Vanilla roll peeled when I was unwrapping it from the wrapper. Definitely not an ideal item to bring to a party. I bought 2 and the top layer on both peeled. Fortunately it was just a BBQ.

Disappointing.. Shilla used to be a great bakery YEARS ago, but nowadays they are really substituting quantity over quality.I ordered their mixed fruit bingsoo dessert and it came with mochi, but the mochi was rock hard because they out in old mochi.. and the fruits were not fresh and had clearly been sitting in the back for awhile. They had that watered down taste and were super soft.... Not to mention the baked goods and pastries are not as good anymore as well.This is all on top of being in a now busy, and crowded shopping center and dealing with bad and rude customer service.Other dessert cafes/bakeries that compete with Shilla are way better. I would recommend Manoa or even Breeze.

This place is amazing! The variety of breads and cakes is awesome, and you dont feel overcharged. I didnt realize there would be actual food though, like paninis and salads. So glad I came!

The Shillla Bakery is a hidden gem. Basic interior, but they offer a variety of good coffee, boba tea, desserts, and amazing looking pastries and cakes. The cafe can quickly become crowded, and sometimes its difficult to park in their lot.Near the front counter to the right is where all the baked goods are and the seating area is to the left which I like how it kind of separates the section, but its open. Theres tags that let you know the names of the goodies. All of their items are listed for a great price and size.

Ordered a birthday cake here after reading all the good reviews but the one we got was not that good. We were very disappointed, It was missing the sweetness, may be they forgot to add sugar into butter cream or something.

Doesnt enforce mask policy or distancing policy and allows customers to wander around the bakery without masks. Today, at checkout, I had to tell 2 people without masks and standing half a foot behind me to back off in front of multiple indifferent employees.

Super cozy bakery! Visible from the main road. Their bingsoo is great, perfect for sharing! Their cakes are also delicious. I’d recommend coming earlier since some items are unavailable during late hours.

This was my first time here. This bakery reminded me of the bakeries back in Okinawa. The bakery is super clean inside, the staff are very friendly and organized. There as a line when I came but I didnt wait too long. They serve all bake goods. They dont have cupcakes if you were looking for them. I ordered the mango mousse and a red velvet cookie. The mango mousse was delicious and not too sweet.

Its an ok place to get a few pasteries and coffee. The selection is not as large as it used to be and I think the other locations do a better job. Service is still friendly and coffee is super hot!

Racks of baked goods sitting outside, of which a lady came out the back door and grabbed one to take in. Get a good look at the picture. Great selection of desserts and drinks

This was not my first time here but it was my first time getting a cake here. The prices are so high but I thought the quality would be amazing because I love their pastries and I wanted to get a great cake for my sister. Boy was I wrong. The frosting is absolutely devoid of any flavor, it literally tastes like cake with straight butter on it. My sister hated it and no one could finish it. I went in thinking it was a mistake but was told that how they always made it and left with no remedy. Never trying these cakes again, Wegmans next time.
