Young lady manning both customer service desk & self checkouts brought an Extra large dose of not feeling it today attitude to Saturdays shoppers.would be better to NOT attend work, for the Non Help she supplied.Please ensure this individual has enough time between shifts to get adequate REST.ESPECIALLY, for her MENTAL & Physical well being. Came to this place years ago and never went back because of the excessive long lines and short staffed. It really seems that things have never changed because there are still 1-2 cashiers open during rush sometimes luckily there is 2 cashiers. Management however seems to be doing better as shopping carts and baskets are available. They just need to do a bit better and convince/hire more cashiers during rush hour. Because 100+ customers and 2 cashiers and a self check out won’t cut it. It also concerning because I’ve seen multiple staff work at self check out and customer service. Causing them to have to do double the work run back and forth and lose customers because of the wait. They should really fix that part. Also been hearing about the recent stealing and robberies..not pleasant news they should staff more at night to be safe and have some sort of security during the evenings.

Abandoned store!!!It was better before. Recently there is no basket or cart available in front of the door, a lot of shelves and refrigerator are not refilled. It seems like they need more man power or new manager. Please fix this.

I like the cinnamon rolls with the cream cheese frosting. Not that other frosting. The cream cheese one. Please dont stop making that.

This Safeway has a brand new larger and more functional Starbucks Coffee bar! The store often has good selections of groceries, produce, wine, etc. Now more coffee choices too!

Not good today. The bakery staff she was very rude when I asked her about if she has another pound cake. She said after 5 hrs, really??? I didnt her attitude or tone of voice. Need more training.

This store has the best Apple Fritters. Their Apple Fritters are as good as Winchell’s Donut House which are some of the best in the world. The fritter is crunchy on the outside. The edge comes out crisped for almost a quarter of an inch all the way around. The fritter is flat so there isn’t that cake texture in the middle. I go early to get them fresh. Any type of storage such as plastic containers softens them and makes them good, but not to die for.

The lady at the bakery was extremely attentive. Thank you very much!

They were absolutely packed on Thanksgiving but the employees were super friendly and efficient. Managers were active and helping to ensure customers were getting sent to registers that were open and no one was waiting to long. The fresh desserts from the bakery were delicious. I thought the Boston cream pie was great, the strawberry shortcake was good but we added more strawberries! The prices, food, and service were all top notch even on the holiday.. Id definitely do more shopping there if they were closer!

Safeways pretty chill, spaced out, and covid friendly. Prices are awesome, spent 30 dollars on ingredients that wouldve cost me 80. A lot of the things are expensive but I like to believe we all shop smart.

Worst experience ever not only was place unorganized but when it became time to get my monopoly tickets thr customer clerk reused to. I tried explaining i cant get the blue ones because I am an associate and we cant use the blue ones but she refused to give me the green wont be going back to this location. I may reconsider after the monopoly is done

Friendly staff, they have whole watermelons that are good here in winter! Great variety of nuts. The produce is excellent and kept organized 😉

I felt comfortable here. All the employees were wearing masks and cleaning surfaces. The aisles had arrows and there were spacing stickers in the high traffic areas. As I write this, I can see how much my criteria for awarding stars has changed in the past seven months! Stay safe yall.

Very sad, I’m a customer for years at this location, yesterday I went to get French bread, but there was nothing on the sales floor at 8.20 am, I ask the lady at the bakery, and she was rude, she said there’s non maybe until 9 am, this is a breakfast item.

Large supermarket with a great varety of items from which to choose. Was a bit disappointed in the selection of gluten free options.

Fresh produce, great products

Ive had decent in person experiences shopping here. However, this is my second time trying the order online and pick up option. Both times, I was told that my ordered could not fulfilled and that the staff had gone home for the day. This was hours after I placed my order and given a time for pick up. This second experience has by far been the worst experience. So far, I have spoken to 3 managers. No one can seem to give me an answer about my order that was scheduled to be available yesterday between 7-8pm. The night manager (1st manager) told me theres nothing she could do and to check back in the morning. She directed me to call the 1-800 number, where I was on hold over an hour and over 20 minutes the other 3 times I called. I was finally told by the representative that I need to contact the store to resolve the issue. I spoke to a manager (2nd manager) this morning that forwarded my information to a different department. I received a call from another manager (3rd manager) that informs me that my order could not be found, and he needs to follow up with technical support. At this point, I am requesting a refund and prefer not to shop here again. I used this service for convenience, but it saddens me to think that an elderly or other vulnerable individual with a fixed income would use this service because they need assistance with shopping. The $52 may not be much to me, but this could be someones last for necessities. I would never recommend this service to anyone that really needs it. This is a neighborhood store, and I hate to see any system that could potentially take advantage of vulnerable people. I will be following up with corporate as well. This has to change, because I know I am not the only person this has happened to.

Just in and out wasnt crowded at all

Never anyone in the Starbucks and no signs to say so. Normally I wouldnt take issue with this, its not the store itself. Until today when a very rude Safeway employee came over repeating to us Theres no body there. I know Starbucks is not Safeway but Im a customer of Safeway none the less, my husband had already purchased our groceries and I was still waiting for someone to show up. Maybe put up a sign instead of barking at me that no ones at the Starbucks.

Came in on a Wednesday afternoon, not particularly busy. manager and other employee were impatient and unhelpful, as though I was somehow bothering them by asking for help. corporate needs to come in and do some retraining.

This place never has anyone for checkout. The lines are always long. Would Safeway please address this issue. It happens every time I go in the store. The store is convenient but it is faster for me to drive another 10minutes away to Harris Teeter!

I honestly used to work at this place and it is terrible. the front end manager would make a lot of employees cry just because they wouldnt hurry up with things that he said. He expected employees to be perfect, he would make us employees feel useless. He would be very bipolar, he would be nice to employees and seconds later would yell at them, and sometimes would make them cry.

It was recently remodeled so it no longer looks so dated. It is an older, smaller store so it doesn’t have as much variety in most departments that you would see in newer larger stores. Not my first choice for groceries but does in a pinch.

Its family style/street style food hole in the well type of place. The only thing is most of the employees dont speak English too well. But the menu have pictures so you just point. Food is good.

Front end manager Anas has a serious attitude problem with the patrons. I’ve seen him harass multiple customers, including a lady in a wheelchair today. Completely unacceptable behavior, even the other staff know what’s going on but he won’t allow you to talk to them, instead he’ll kick you out of the store! Not friendly, not helpful, not coming back!

Has everything I need for my family. But the location needs to be more diverse with their hiring process. How can you say youre hiring, and it dont look like you hired anyone to fill in the other registered that need to be open during busy holidays or when a storm is approaching? Makes no sense to me.

This Safeway had a very nice selection of items & the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Also the store was clean and well organized!

The aisle are fairly sound, and I like them. Unfortunately, the lines were just super busy! The management needs to recognize this and make sure they have enough staff to ensure adequate cashier flow. The cherry on top was the fact that the cashiers had a sour attitude. This place could be great.

They do not make the patrons wear masks inside the store and no one is staying 6 feet from anyone.The selection was okay but I do not normally shop here and will not likely go again.

The staff here are incredible and happy they were open during the pandemic. Wouldnt know what to do without these brave men and women who work here.

Its easy to find things are not overloaded

Decent Safeway. It has improved over the past year. The produce is better than the local Giant. Better prices and better quality. Lines can sometimes be long, though and staff is not always the friendliest, but do help when needed.

Great shopping

1040pm on Saturday. I had hoped to pick up a few items on the way home. When I come in I find out the bathrooms are now locked for no apparent reason. Theres no one to ask for the combination as far as I can tell.. The self-service checkout machines are turned off. I try to convince myself that its not so bad but after about 2 minutes I realize its just not worth all the aggravation and waiting probably 20 minutes to get checked out.

Employees ignore you when your standing there trying to order from the deli section, (4 employees standing at the deli counter, 2 make eye contact with you dont say, Good Morning how can i help you) Staff is never smiling, and never say good morning or how can i help you. Listen if your that miserable with your life, stay in your home and never leave, do us all a favor. Shelves are never stocked (and you cant say that they are stocked i mean there is never a over whelming flow of customers in that dump, nobody is ever in this store) If you do shop at this location please check expiration dates, cause god knows they dont care if you get sick off there expired food. So please for god sake go somewhere else to shop..... SHOOT!!!! shop at the dumpsters behind taco bell, Im sure thats better than anything that Safeway has to offer.

Wonderful bakery! Asked them to put together two dozen donuts for a workplace gender reveal and they were done within half an hour of my call.

What you can expect from the Safeway chain.

This is one the worst stores in the area. Poorly managed and staffed incorrectly. I cannot count the times waiting in line for 25 minutes at a normal hour at the one open register with no other staff or manager to be found. They have an odd relationship with their self checkouts. Avoid at all costs and go to the Giant up the street.

Lines are always long. There is no self serve terminal that would allow you to quickly get in and get out with one item or so. It is difficult to get in and out of due to perpetually heavy traffic on Little River Turnpike. Usually clean and fairly well kept up. Prices are a little better than Giant but we usually go to Giant anyway.

They always have what I need and are so friendly!

Its clean well stocked. And fast cashiers. Thats more than enough for me.

The selection is okay and the prices arent bad but this Safeway always seems to suffer from understaffing. There will be weekends where they will only have one or two check out lanes open and will suggest that you use the self check outs, which work okay for a quick trip but they just dont have room for all the groceries one might buy on a larger trip.

Much better now that self checkout is back! The people in the meat department are awesome and better cuts than other stores in the area; Ive had better steaks from here than twice the cost specialty shops. Overall its just better and cheaper than the nearby Giants, imo.

Run down and cluttered. Fine for a quick stop on my way to work, but I wouldnt enjoy shopping here on a regular basis. Also the Starbucks inside the store doesnt even have the equipment to warm up their pastries. Meh.

Safeway is familiar to be since I was born.

Convenient store but it is filthy inside. It stinks as soon as you walk in like rotten seafood and bad body odor. The workers are rude and not helpful and the groceries are overpriced. Again I only come because its on my way home. Shop elsewhere

Always understocked. Shelves are half empty every time I go. Way understaffed. Never enough check outs open. Takes longer to check out than to get groceries. Giant is just down the street. Skip this store.

This is my favorite store.

This is close to my house so I buy most of my groceries here - flowers on occasion, fruits, pastries, ice cream, vegetables, and meats. Most of these are fresh. However, in my recent purchase this month, I made the decision to buy the often-advertised 6$ oatmeal raisin cookies box which turned out to be very hard and old. I have to heat them up to moisten them at home. Also, the mints I bought were expired. I think they should be vigilant in checking expiration dates in products.

Employees are rude Eliana the manager said restrooms are for customers only. Was going to purchase something at store for lunch need to wash hands. Decide to go to giant down the street better customer service and not question about washing hands. What a JOKE.

TERRIBLE staff.. they obviously only hire cashiers with attitudes, not to mention mute cashiers that show how much they hate their jobs. The managers arent much of an upgrade either. Youre better off going to the Giant down the street near the ABC store.

Wish this Safeway still had the self checkout. Apparently they took it out because of stealing. Lines now seem to be periodically prevalent.The seafood/meat counter is great, same with the pharmacy.

This safeway is on very convenient location. But really too bad, big but at times out of products youre looking for but never out of mediocre service at best. You wonder why this safeway is not busy.
