Jimmy was wonderful! Helped us out when no one else would. Excellent service!
Thank you chris for being so helpful when the time we went there. I appreciated much.
I recently received the most positively phenomenally customer experience from Thomas at the West Street location in Annapolis. I was shopping for windshield wiper blades, and there was a problem finding the right size for the make and model of my 2016 Mazda. Thomas went the extra mile to remove my old ones, measure them, recommend new ones, and even install the ones that I purchased. Thank you!
Had a 10:00 tire appointment today and when I showed up they said they needed all day and I would have to leave the vehicle. It was definitely not made clear when I scheduled the appointment. They offered to reschedule for another day but only if I was able to leave it there. Will be shopping elsewhere
Jimmy was awesome today! I had a burned headlamp in my car, he helped me right away and I left pep boys in 15 minutes with my service all done! Thanks a lot Jonny and Annapolis Pep Boys!!! I will always come back when my car has another issue!
Worst location by far. I’ve been a customer for over 8 years and I tried to schedule an appointment a week in advance I get there at 8:00 am and tell me i have to keep the car for the day ! It’s been like that for few months now and they just don’t care this place needs to be shut down or new management take over
Im DONE...I have used the Annapolis Pep Boys for over 10 years and have recommended them to many. Over the last 3 visits recently, over a few month period, they are consistently understaffed in every way, parts service and mechanics, so Im done. Calls go unanswered, no follow up when the car is there for service and service is shabby. Time to shut this place down.
While traveling, my alternator died. I was 400 miles from home on a Friday night and couldnt find anyone to work on my vehicle. It had been towed to PepBoys on West Avenue in Annapolis. They initially said they couldnt help, but I talked to one of the techs in the parking lot who agreed to look at it. Brent & Jason, you went the extra mile (or 2) for me in a desperate situation. Brent is my hero!
This store sold me an alternator that was faulty out of the box. Did not find out it was bad until after installing and the store was closed. Had to take my car to an independent mechanic which confirmed the Pep Boys alternator was bad, and I spent a few hundred more dollars to get the Pep Boys one replaced. Pep Boys only able offered an exchange if it tested as bad, despite the Pep Boys return policy on their website saying that and alternator can be RETURNED if tested as bad. I need to return the faulty one for a refund, not an exchange. Also, Pepboys corporate has been dragging their feet and unresponsive after initial contact in getting the issue resolved. Poor parts and poor service.
I called last week to get tires for my Ram 3500. They ordered me 6 tires and I received a call Thursday to confirm my appointment on Sunday. Drove 30 minutes down there to be told that they can’t work on duallys. WHY ORDER 6 TIRES THEN?!!! Goto a real shop for your work to be done.Edit: wound up going to Kens Service Center in Hanover, Md. awesome experience. They did what they said they would do and on time.Got an email from PepBoys saying they would contact me….. never did
DON’T take your car here. 3 workers sitting in garage talking while my husband is waiting to get a valve changed, which take 10 mins. If they are on lunch all three shouldn’t be at the same time. Poor customer service.
Garbage shopDont trust them with your car
Staff were helpful with my exchange. I will say the property and certain parts of the store need some serious cleaning/trimming.
Price charged did not match the price listed on the shelf. Cashier was unnecessarily aggressive when asked about the discrepancy.
I made an appointment to get 4 new tires and an oil change. My appointment was at 12 noon but I arrived at 11:50 and I was checked in. Around 1:30 the man who checked me in saw me sitting in the waiting room and said to me, “Oh, I didn’t realize you were waiting here. We’ll take your car in next then”. By 3:00 they still hadn’t even started working on my car. I went to the counter and asked for my keys back because I couldn’t wait any longer. I had already waited for 3 hours at this point and other people who came in after me were already finished. The same man told me that my car was being worked on right now, to which I said no it wasn’t because I literally can see it still in the parking lot. He opened the door to the bay and pointed to the car suspended in the air; which was not my car. He then said that he would be right back and disappeared into the bay. 10 minutes later he still hadn’t come back and I was still standing at the counter waiting for my keys. Another man named George was at the counter talking on the phone. I waited until he hung up and I told him that I wanted to speak to a manager, I’d already waited 3 1/2 hours for nothing and I want my keys back. He said to me, “I’m the manager but I’m busy doing inventory so you’re gonna have to wait”. I told him that I’ve been waiting long enough and I want my keys back now. He handed me my keys and mumbled something under his breath about how he should have stayed in the back doing inventory. I walked out to my car and a third man was standing there peering into my driver’s side window. I asked him what he was doing and he asked me if I still wanted the tires and oil change. I told him no, I’ve wasted enough time there and I left. I received an automated email asking for a review of my appointment. I replied to the email and told them exactly what happened. I then received another email stating that my review won’t be made visible on the Pep Boys website because it doesn’t meet their criteria. Clearly they do not care what your experience in their store is actually like. I went to Firestone the next day and I got the work done in 90 minutes for significantly cheaper than the price I was quoted when I made my appointment at Pep Boys. That will be the last time I shop at a Pep Boys location.
Have all your stuff
Great Service!
Called at 10am got a 2pm appt. Got to location on West St. Annapolis MD. They told me that i had to wait till 3:30 just to be seen. Said that they go by Priority. I couldnt manage that time in my Schedule.. Why didnt they tell me that on the phone instead of having me waste my Whole day. Anyway i called Midas while in pep boys parking lot right next store to Midas, and was seen in less then 5min. Had work done. And Saved $75Thank Midas! Will tell All i can about your Poor Service Pep Boys
Not a very helpful staff, very unprofessional at helping customers with products on shelf (boxes empty) on shelf but not in inventory..
Staff were helpful and friendly
We were traveling, having purchased our tires from Pep Boys in Orange Beach, Alabama. The tire-pressure light came on and we went to their store in Annapolis. Eric was wonderful, helping check our tire pressure, pointing out the drivers-side rear tire was at fault. He filled it, recommended we make an appointment, and come back if the problem persisted. Two days later the light was back on. Long story cut short.Eric fixed the tire and we are back on the road. His sense of customer service was instrumental, ensuring we stay with Pep Boys.
I really appreciate you helping me get my tire this evening. Great customer service by the man working in the tire area. Extremely professional and got me in and out very quickly. Breck is a damn good employee. You guys definitely have someone who knows what customer service is.
Terrible customer service the technician hung up on me when I called. I won’t be coming back. I hope other locations are better, but this one really let me down.
Everyone there is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Jason was super! This was my first visit for some reason it took me this long to arrive but Pep boys is solid and I will be back. Had work done on wheel studs and bought some other items. Honesty and Integrity period.
I was disappointed in the price if oil, the lady behind the counter and a gentleman that worked there were more interested in chatting than serving me. The cashier same lady acted as if she had never run a register before. She seemed very confused on what to do. Her demeanor was one of being lost. I hope she can get more training, store was very clean, products were easy to find.
Very knowledgeable always has what I needed I will be back the next time I need something. Prices are Good
AWESOME!!!!Heading to Virginia but stranded in Annapolis needing a replacement tire for an unrepairable flat. No one but no one had a match to our other 3 tires, and in “the day”’ Pep Boys was known for spark plugs, not tires. Called them on a lark and George said they had my match (!!!!), and was incredibly helpful over the phone. Headed there immediately and could not have found a nicer, more courteous, nor harder working team. AND they had coffee!!! In no time it seemed they mounted our new tire and had us on our way!!! In the future we will call Pep Boys FIRST for ALL of our vehicle needs!!Thank you gentlemen sooooo much!!!!
Waste of time.
I Love this place, for all my vehicle needs.
Helped me get exactly what I needed. And went the extra mile to put my windshield wipers on for me. Young man was kind and friendly.
I came in on a Sunday for tire mount and balance on all four tires that I already had. I had a appointment at noon and came in at 1203. I walked out the shop at 1217 with a time estimate of 60-90 minutes. Long story short, I didnt drive away till 3:15. Everyone who helped was great but my long wait time is why I am giving three stars. I would come here again though.
First time I went they sold me a tire with a hole in it and then after taking my car back twice to find out why the tire kept going flat, they tried to charge me full price for a new tire. Second time I went I asked them why my brake light was on. I told them I had no trouble braking but just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong. They told me I needed to replace my brake pads to fix it. $200 later they said it’s actually your rear brake sensor and we don’t have that part so call your dealership. Brake light is still on but at least I have new brake pads I didn’t need.
I dropped my truck off on 1 JUL 2020 and NEVER heard a word from them. They said they would order parts on the 2nd and it would be ready on the second. Never heard a word from them. I called them everyday till today, 8 JUL 2020 when they finally called to say it was ready. Each day I called them they said it would be ready the next day. Yesterday, when I called them, they told me it would be ready at 6:00 PM last night. I was there at 6:00 PM and it was not ready. I will NEVER go back to them for anything. I will tell everyone I know to take their business elsewhere. As a military veteran, I warn you all.
Again their response is for me to give them information, not for them to be proactive to review appointments. Clearly based on reviews your service department is NOT respecting those of us that care enough for their time to make an appointment. Terrible customer service. I called on Saturday, the only available appt was Monday at 3pm. Glad to wait that long to ensure I have an appointment. I get there and was told and I quote “ you still have to wait even with a appointment and it will be 1 1/2 hours” Sounds like appointments do mean anything to PEP BOYS. If they do not have the professionalisms to call knowing they are behind how can you trust the service. The guy said that is just how it is. I hope you all take your business elsewhere. They need a lesson on customer service.
Customer service was really good. A clean and very comfortable waiting area beside the service desk with a TV, chairs, and tables with a large window so you could see the service technicians and your vehicle. Fresh coffee, but only 1 choice for sweetener. I was impressed. For that I give them 5 stars. However, when I arrived I was told something different from what I was told over the phone and I was told something different the 2 times I called. Now I have to make the 3rd appointment to have the repair done because they were not prepared for my vehicle. For that I give them a 2 star rating. Overall, I will give them 3 stars and an opportunity to do it right. I think their customer service has earned it. I do recommend you give them a try. Its just something about their honest, sincerity and transparency. And I dont impress easily.
They are nice!
Horrible service!! Do not go here for any car work hands down!!! I had them mount and balence new tires and align the car. I just went to do my first tire rotation and all the tires were misaligned. There is wear on the inner part of the tires on all 4 tires that is past the tread. This is in less then a year of driving. I also noticed that they mounted one of my tires backwards. These are directional tires so they have been spinning in the wrong direction this entire time. I called to resolve the issue and Pepboys took no responsibility and instead tired to sell me new tires. I will NEVER go back to Pepboys for parts or service and I recommend you do the same.
As promised, Im sharing my review! We took some time off from using Pep Boys for a number of reasons. After a situation arose, this was my last place to turn to- Breck assisted me from the get go and was phenomenal- helpful, and accommodating, with a good sense of humor. He fit me into the schedule immediately and worked within a very small window that I had. IMO pep boys really redeemed themselves. I hope every time moving forward is like this- Thank you!!
One of the best waiting areas imaginable. Lots of outlets for charging electronics and very tastefully decorated. The checkin and checkout process was very smooth. They repaired my car on the spot for much less than I had psyched myself up to accept.
Im only speaking for the retail side of this Pep Boys; Ive never brought my vehicles here for service so I cant speak to that. Its actually been a while since Ive come in here to purchase anything. I typically come in to dump used oil after Ive changed the oil in my vehicles or to buy car care supplies. Thats really the main thing I buy at Pep Boys as they have a fairly decent selection of car care stuff. Their pricing seems to be on par with other parts stores in the area if I do end up picking something else up for my cars (bulbs, belts, hoses, etc). I just tend not to come to Pep Boys for parts because its a little out of the way, comparatively speaking, as there are other stores along the routes I would otherwise typically travel. It appears that this location has been remodeled inside fairly recently. Again, its been a while since I was in so I didnt know a remodel was scheduled to happen. The self-serve aisles used to run nearly the full length of the left side of the store; now the stock has been reduced to about half the space. It seems this was achieved by eliminating the tuner/speed shop area that was in the front of the store, rearranging aisles, and probably even cutting back on certain items. There looks to be much more stock behind the counters now, though I think part of that is the tire stock racks. Still, a nicer look to the place and wouldnt have to walk as far to get to what I might need.
Made an appointment for 11am only to be told it would be over an hour before they could get to my truck. I relayed my schedule concerns to George on Saturday who said no problem. And I even asked if I could wait while the tires would be installed. Thanks George, I’ll go somewhere else.
My husband dropped off his van for new tires and oil change. He was told at @4pm it would be done in a hour and they would call him. Mind you this a work van he needed this morning. No phone call at all!! He also tried to call them @ 530pm no answer....🤨😡
So, I had a bad experience here a while back with an oil change and was adamant on never coming back. However, the service manager, George, called me and offered me a free oil change & apologized for the inconvenience.Fast forward to this past weekend, I was told by Jiffy Lube that I would need my brake pads replaced and I made an appointment with Pep Boys. Note, a brake pad replacement is a service over $200, but I got a call after I dropped off my vehicle saying I never needed pads, but just a brake dusting, fluid replacement, balance & tire rotation...all for a total of $70. BIG difference.Any other shop would have swindled me, taken my $200+ and ran, so I really applaud the integrity of the staff. I will always come back!
Ive come here multiple times for various services. The wait times are generally reasonable but have been on an incline recently, and it seems who ever manages the shop floor staff doesnt really care to do their job. I waited for my car today and watched as an oil change and tire rotation took a hour and a half, and, after the alignment was done, my car was left to sit on the lift for another 35 minutes. The gentleman up front tells me the tech decided to step off and chat with their tool rep, mid service. Dont come by if you have day plans or value your time.
New owners not the same
I scheduled my appointment a week in advance with early drop off. After three hours I received a call stating I needed an extra part. I okayed the extra expecting another hour or so. To my surprise I was still waiting seven hours later, no call no updates, just waiting. It’s eight hours now and I’m still waiting.
Steve at customer service was wonderful. The store had a great sale. My car was ready earlier than expected, and the new tires are great!
Retail associates are generally less than helpful. I genuinely felt that I was inconveniencing the woman behind the counter through my mere existence. Do not expect a friendly hello or recommendation when searching for a part or option. Service dept is okay in a pinch.
Ive had my vehicles serviced here for the past three years and have been pleased thus far. Very good service and value!
Pep Boys is the best place to come to for automotive cleaning supplies. But unfortunately, Ive seen better automotive enthusiasts at competitors in the parts area
Pep Boys is just like any other car maintenance shop right!? I wouldnt agree. Historically I am DIY or a dealer mechanic only kind of guy. That said, I had a friend recommend PB to me after they had their clutch replaced in half a day at a great price.I was skeptical with going to PB, but I went in for an estimate to replace my slipping clutch. Their price was way lower than the dealership across the street. To be honest it wasnt the price that had me (I ended up spending double that), it was the two service guys that made me feel happy about spending more money on preventative maintenance.Garret & Rob, both seemed really knowledgeable about cars in general but really the true cost of ownership with a decade old vehicle. They taught me what a zero-tolerance engine means and why it was critical to do preventive maintenance while it is still preventative. My wife was not happy with me spending double our clutch budget for a clutch & timing belt / water pump replacement. But frankly I love my car, she has treated me right for the last decade. I felt it was the right thing to do and I could not be happier. I just wish that all the work done came with a 50% increase in horse power and a 100% increase in gas mileage.
Pep Boys is staffed with highly trained, courteous and experienced professionals. I had new tires installed at a very reasonable cost. The store is well supplied with automotive products. The waiting area was clean and there was a large screen TV, a table for food and drinks, and fresh coffee pods were available.
Tech was great gave me options and offer great info
I deal solely with the commercial sales side of this location and I am always able to get what I need. The store is setup so that you can find everything easily. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Dropped my truck off with an appointment at 930am for an estimate to replace a sensor. Didnt receive a call until 630pm with an estimate. When I went to pick my truck up the next day I was charged $100 diagnostic fee. I know people have to get paid for their work but wouldnt it be professional to inform someone of the charge before doing the work.So instead of taking the $100 fee off they lost a loyal customer of 10 years. Corporate customer service at its finest.
Jeanie was excellent! We were looking for a boat part and she apparently used to work at a boat place- shes hyper competent and solved our problem lightning fast. We werent even sure what part we were looking for. Total lifesaver.
*Previously rated 5 stars.Very weird experience with the older female cashier tonight, who covertly sprayed strong air freshener or cologne into my plastic bag containing snacks! How passive-aggressive and just plain weird! I smelled a strong, sudden burst of cologne at the register during check out and looked around, unable to find the source, then got home and took out my 3 items of food and they REEKED of cologne, indicating malicious intent to contaminate my food purchase. It definitely wasnt an accident... There is no way you would accidentally spill a noticibly strong cologne in a customers bag of snack food and not replace the items and put them in a new bag! Called Pep Boys less than 10 minutes later at 8:56 P.M. but store was closed. Too bad! I will certainly return the entire bag of 3 cologne-soaked food items to the store tomorrow! Sent a detailed email to corporate with a request to review camera footage. Someone needs a mental health check!
Hey Ive been going here for years. Most important I trust the work they do is right! From the Manager (George) to the service rep (Jason), they really care. Professional, personable, and knowledgeable. On a scale of one to ten for car service, Id have to rate them a solid-ten. And also, special kudos for Eric who did a really remarkable job on my car. Hes humble, top-notch expertise (I was watching him thru the service window, I know quite a bit about cars especially mine :o). Eric is also very very courteous, and polite. If they had 6 stars available for best, Id give them a 6. Thank you Pep Boys for the Annapolis West Street Team!
Not bad, would recommend. Also, as I myself am a mechanic at a local shop their commercial desk and employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They are a great asset for obtaining parts, pricing and other relevant information. Definitely huge props for their commercial accounts staff.
Good selection of Auto parts and friendly service. Would give five stars but I have had times where I drop off my car at 8am without and appointment, been told they can at least evaluate it, then gotten called in the evening saying they didnt get to it. Beware of that
I made my first appointment with them online to get a car battery changed. I had an email confirmation and called about a question having to due with the appointment. The man who answered the phone said they had no appointments available today- I explained I had a confirmed appointment at this location online and he said he doesn’t know why the system lets customers book appointments when they aren’t available ... I’m glad I called because if I showed up at my Scheduled appointment I would have been really angry, and if it’s true that the system wasn’t working, they should fix it so it doesn’t inconvenience others!
Each time I come in Im greeted, helped and treated with respect. They have amazing deals (aside from synthetic oil which I go to Walmart for). They have everything you need and want. There services are also top notch, and the employees know their stuff. 5 stars hands down. They get busy but thats what happens when you have the cheapest prices, best service and extensive inventory.ill gladly wait the extra few minutes.
Very conscientious staff and very knowledgeable
Very poor service. I made an appointment for brake pad placement. I had an estimate from Pep Boys for the work when I made the appointment. I arrived on time for the appointment (10:00). The person who took the car and filled out the form asked if I would be dropping off or waiting. I said Ill wait. It took exactly one hour for them to pull the car into the garage (11:00). It sat on the lift for another 1 hour and 15 minutes, with no service being performed. There was no communication about status during this time. At 12:15 I asked for my car to be taken out of the bay and given back to me. At that point the the person behind the counter said were getting the estimate ready for you. Which he tried to call up on the computer, but couldnt because there a problem. He said, well have the estimate soon. I told them I just wanted the car back.I made an appointment at a specific day and time. I was not a random walk in. I understand they cannot immediately begin work, but after 2 hours and 15 minutes - it takes the customer to ask for the vehicle back before they start anything? Really? What is the purpose of an appointment?
One of the more well-maintained and stocked places. The service is top-notch and extremely friendly. The store is centrally located in Annapolis and easily recognized from the street.
Couldnt get the same price in-store so I ordered it online from my phone as I stood in the store. The website said the battery I wanted was out of stock yet I was looking at it in store. After finishing my purchase twice (Entering your credit card info online didnt pay for the battery, you have to scan your card again in-store to actually pay) I asked if I could borrow some simple hand tools to change the battery as the mechanic shop was all booked up which is completely understandable. I was told that theyre not allowed to lend out tools. I was given a wrench only. After removing the cables I needed a 1/4 socket and wrench to get the battery out as the wrench was not suitable. When I asked if they have any sockets I was told I have to buy them, I refused. After struggling for 20 minutes with the wrench luckily a random customer had a socket set, helped me, and I had the battery replaced in 3 minutes. Every other shop allows you to borrow tools or even help you replace the battery. Very frustrated that I couldnt be trusted with a socket wrench when I was parked in front of the glass doors.
It’s sad when Walmart has to fix the problems that Pep Boys couldn’t. I thought their specialty was cars?
Staff are friendly and helpful and service was completed promptly. The waiting area is comfortable and nicely decorated, and has coffee, a drinking fountain, a tv, and outlets to charge your phone. The selection of car accessories for sale is also good. I will definitely return in the future.
Loved the service that was displayed and i got what I intended to get.
Every time I needed a part or something for my car or truck I was able to get it at Pep Boys. Ive never had to wait in any long lines and the staff is always been helpful. Ive been going to Pep Boys on West Street for as long as I can remember. Great for parts and accessories but I have not tried out their service center as of yet. Need to replace a bulb or do some routine maintenance on your car I suggest stopping by Pep Boys on West Street.
Very friendly, helpful and professional. Pep boys are known for having some of the most honest prices on the market.
Always a great experience. I used to be a former employee, and this is why I trust them, they are trustworthy and never short change a job. Eric in service is the go too guy of u need someone that knows a lit up there
I went in to get my headlight bulb changed and the man at the service desk said he had absolutely no openings for 2 weeks. This location must not accept walk ins.
Bad customer service, they tell you your vehicle only takes an hour but then that hour turns into 5-6 hours. I wouldn’t recommend Pep Boys in Annapolis
Great place
I had them install shorty headers, and x-pipe, and axel back exhaust system on my mustang. The headers they had done in 45 minutes! And the exhaust took an hour! Great speed of service and great prices. I called all around the area for price quotes on these installs and they were by far the lowest. If you have any aftermarket parts you need installed, I highly recommend these guys. Ask for Rob the manager. He is great.
Dont really shop here. Just stopped by for them to check my tire pressure.
Very helpful staff, especially Daivon!
Been going to Pep Boys since I moved to Annapolis. They really improved on their customer service and appointments and its my go to for car repairs
Great customer service and technicians. George the manager is excellent.
Great customer care service, had no problems at all and was there maybe 10 minutes and I was out the door keeping it 💯
I basically go for an oil change every month at pep boys given I commute a lot and they are always very knowledgeable and professional. I had an oil change this monday and my past 3 visits Ive been graced by the excellent customer service of Daivon who is always extremely helpful, polite, and courteous and truly takes the time to answer my questions without hesitation. Hes truly a gem to your store and the work done on my car by the staff is always top notch, never an issue. Thanks for the consistent great work and customer service!
Staff are helpful, but some of the staff are a little inexperienced. Am rebuilding the front end on my 1997 Chevy Pick-up. Some of the staff had problems finding the parts I wanted on the system. Thankfully the supervisor for the repair shop overheard the conversation and found the parts. In addition also recommended specialized tools to borrow to get the ball joints out.
Not even 1 full minute of me being at this location and I was highly disappointed and upset with the service I received. I had an appointment at 5 for an electric issue diagnosis. I arrive at 5 (took an hour to come here since not many Pepboys handle electrical issues). I get there at 4:30 and approach Jason at the service desk. He then tells me that there is no one that can look at my car because it’s late despite me calling twice within the week to confirm my appointment and the fee. I stare at him waiting for him to smile because I thought he was joking. He wasn’t. I ask who made the appointment & he tells me George who I guess happens to be the manager. So I ask for him because I did everything I needed as a customer so they needed to find out how an appointment was made with no one to fulfill it. He tells me George is busy but Jason says he will look at it for me. We look at my car and he tells me that it’s an issue with the lock switch (which I know hence me wanting an official diagnosis so I can get a repair). So I tell him that’ll I’ll just wait for George because I need an answer as to why I would waste an hour driving to a location just to be turned back. So I speak with George and he tells me he doesn’t remember making the appointment (which I honestly don’t care whether he remembers or not because it was made regardless) but says that they can diagnosis it for $45. My face dropped because that is exactly what my appointment was for - a diagnosis. Trying to pinpoint the misunderstanding, I ask him (while he was walking away from me even though the conversation was not over) if they thought I was in there for an actual repair and he says it was worded weird in the computer. Wow. So somebody looks at my car and 3.5 hours later, they tell me they can’t find the problem. I at least could have gotten a diagnosis for all of the trouble. It’s okay that they couldn’t find the issue, I just wish it didn’t take almost 4 hours to do so. The 2 stars are for the coffee and lounge. But it doesn’t compensate for the service.
The mechanic Mike installed four new tires, and then aligned them. He also installed the front brakes, both pads and rotors. Result: a job extremely well done, and a nice attitude to the customer to boot.
A pep boys service man used the diagnostic tool to figure out why the check engine light came on. He interpreted the error code and explained it to me. They are very busy so I have an appointment for Monday to have the car taken care of. It could take four days especially if parts are ordered. Many shops are run this way. They line up the work load and eventually it will get done. We have to be patient.Update. My car was ready in about 36 hours - parts gotten and installed.
Very nice employees and super quick service 👍 Erica helped me and she was awesome! Even though I could carry my purchases myself (she offered to carry) she still walked me to the car and made sure I got everything in ok. She is very sweet and knows her stuff because I sure didnt lol shout-out to Erica!! Thanks 😊
I am only giving one star because zero stars is not an option. Completely and utterly unhappy with the service I received at this Pepboys. I have never been more disappointed in the way I have been treated in any other establishment. I called the store at 12:14pm to inquire about the possibility of getting a tire leak I was having fixed. I was told that it could be done but would take a few hours as the store is busy. Fine that is understandable. Because a tire leak is not something to play with I decide to go anyway. I arrive at the store at 12:40pm. Stood in line for 10 minutes, only for the associate to tell me Theres 6 tickets ahead of you, did not ask why I was there, did not inquire about what I needed to take care of, did not show any interest in fixing the issue I was having with the car, instead just told me that it would be a long wait. Now what kind of business is this? Is this the kind of treatment thats acceptable? I called the store back from outside in my car to complain to the manager and the service manager was just as bad as the store associate. Poor management. Poor customer service. I will never come back here again.
Mechanics are great, manager George is good, but the others at Auto repair desk need to work on customer service better.
Great prices, Staff was very professional and went above and beyond to exceed my expectations.
I was able to get the part I was looking for. Though they only had 1 left, it was a little more than what I wanted to pay for. Good CSR helped me out.

Always pretty quick service at this location. Online orders are pretty much always ready on time.

Deceitful. Took advantage of us. One of my headlights burned out and my fiancée took our Chevy Avalanche to them while on a trip to Annapolis. They claimed it was difficult to get to and charged an extra $62 for labor plus a Shop Fee of another $8. Total cost was $82.87 to replace one headlight. The other one just burned out today and I took it to Dunn Tire. Total cost? $19.99! The technician also showed me how easy the bulbs were to get to. Dont get taken advantage of. Stay away from this place.
The interior cleaner available at pep boys works great for all kinds of upholstery.
I had a slow leak in my right rear tire that I asked them to fix. 2 hrs later they returned my car saying they could not locate the leak. They did not charge me but when I looked at my tires I discovered the left rear tire was wet and lug nuts had been removed. The right rear was perfectly dry and had not been removed. I thought about confronting them but then I decided they were too dumb to be working on my car.
I made an appointment a week in advance to get my check engine light looked at over the weekend. Dropped the car off Saturday morning and was told the tech would be in at 10 AM and, I assumed, would at least do an inspection of the vehicle later that day. Called them Sunday after not hearing anything back and the representative said the car hadnt been looked at yet, but that they may be able to get to it later in the day. I needed the car back for the week, so I called them back later in the afternoon and after finding they wouldnt be able to get to it before closing told them I would be in to pick up the car. Long story short is my vehicle sat in their parking lot for 2 days despite having an appointment made a week in advance with no explanation or apology for the lack of progress.
I had the sales representative help me find a gas cap. I bought it and much to my dismay it did not fit my gas tank properly. I was able to return it. However my bill came to 11.65, I gave the clerk 12 dollars and recieved 35 cents back. When I returned it I gave them the 35 cents and they had to use a calculator to figure out what I was owed.
