Called this store and they said they closed at 9 pm. After arriving before 9 they would not service my friend and I. Then tried to blame it on “not having the staff”. She was literally at the register checking someone out. I felt completely disregarded, perhaps it was my appearance. If they weren’t willing to service people prior to 9 pm that should’ve been stated when we called.

I WILL NEVER USE THIS STORE EVER AGAIN ! I have been a regular customer for years, buying cases. Tonight, the store employees decided to lock the door in the faces of 6 customers 15 mins early before a Holiday because they were tired.I have never ever seen this happen while the people stood outside...one lady said she drove 20 min. Its just BAD business, and I will never forget this. Annapolis is a small town.

The employees there are racist. I experienced it firsthand..have not spent another dime there after the woman and man started making racist comments right in front of me as I was purchasing some items. I wouldve given this place zero stars but had to give one in order to give this review. There is no room in society for bigotry or hatred. Avoid at all costs.

The shopping center itself is a little rundown, but the liquor store is very good. Large selection of products, including a some that arent universally found.Service is generally personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. The checkout line seldom has a long wait.Prices are generally good, better than most nearby competitors.I have two liquor stores closer to me, but prefer this one

This wine/liquor store is tucked away in the corner of the Riva Festival shopping center. It has a huge selection of wine but they also have regular liquor and beers as well. I like going here because their wine selection is reasonably priced and easy to find what you are looking for. The staff is friendly and they don’t make you feel weird or rushed when you are browsing. They know it’s hard to decide!

If I could give it 0 stars I would! The people at the counter are rude! They acted as if they didnt want my business! 1st and last time I ever shop there! I will take my money elsewhere! The man at the counter acted as if it was so inconvenient for me to put my purchase on the counter while I went and bought more! Really!? he said there are shopping carts outside, well I didnt see them! I said is it ok if I leave it here or do you want me to get a cart? and he said well there are other customers, well guess what jerk, there were NO other customers! SUCK on it!

Festival Wine and Spirits? AVOID!My experience was very similar to Max Hammers but I wish to associate myself with Peter Burgs comments too. Festival Wine & Spirits used to be a great one-stop store for beer, wine, liquor, etc. Previous ownership, and Ive lived in Annapolis long enough to remember at least two previous owners before the infamous Deborah/Debra took over, provided excellent service and were always friendly and helpful. This Deborah/Debra person is a living nightmare!I recently moved back to Annapolis from Alaska and still have my Alaska drivers license. Ive been buying alcoholic beverages at this store (and elsewhere) for over 20 years. This Deborah/Debra character carded me on a recent visit and, although surprised (Im on the wrong side of 40 too), I handed her my Alaska drivers license. No problem and I was on my way. However, on a subsequent visit, she asked me AGAIN for my ID and this time she said it was expired. Fact is, it was technically expired the first time, but I carry a letter from the Alaska DMV that legally provides me with a one-year extension. She rejected it and refused to let me complete my purchase.Question: how is it my expired out-of-state license was good enough the first time but not the second, even with the legal document of extension? No, this makes no sense at all. I never should have been carded in the first place. The second encounter was pure harassment. This hateful person, bereft of rudimentary social skills, doesnt want my business -- and she will never have it again. Ive joined the growing boycott of this establishment and will not set foot in that store until new ownership takes over. I strongly recommend you do the same. Cheers.

So, I am disappointed in the fact that a woman that works at this store, that definitely is causing serious problems for the store...I believe her name is Debra, gave my Fiance such rude service and its a real shame as this store is very convenient.....well, it used to be till my fiance decided that we were NOT going to entertain or support the rudeness that must b e acceptable to the owner as this woman is still an employee of the company, EVEN THOUGH THE OWNER RECOGNIZED THAT THERE ARE HORRIBLE REVIEWS OUT THERE ON THIS WOMAN AND EVEN RESPONDED TO THE NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES THAT CUSTOMERS HAD AND STILL.........SHES THERE. I guess they just lost two more customers. Seems this is a trend. Hopefully it continues and the store sells to new owners that know how to respect and take care of a customer. I guess we will have to get our Imagery Pinot Noir elsewhere. I WAS GOING to be getting a case for my birthday from my Fiance.....shame, I need to find my new favorite wine elsewhere. Thanks for screwing up a good thing lady!! I hope the owner gets the hint and decides to let her go. This woman is killing your customer base and will continue to do so till you choose to remove the bad apple from the barrel. So, till you decided to fix your issues.....Ill be going to BIN 201.

Not bad, but not the greatest either. The wine and liquor selection is good, the beer selection is decent now that theyve added a section for craft brews, but still not as extensive as some other stores in the area. Prices (at least on beer) are a little higher by comparison as well.

I always shop at Festival Wine and Spirits. All of the employees are great. Never had an issue. I am pretty sure I was there the day this Brian Steuart is talking about. I remember an overweight unattractive black women coming into the store and demanding Debra get her two bottles of wine. I just thought she was rude and raised in a home without manners. Now that I have read Debra’s response I can see that the women was being obnoxious because Debra is friends with her fiancé’s ex-girlfriend. Man up Brian!! That’s no way to treat someone you were friends with at one time. Glad you are taking your rude fiancé and buying your Imagery Pinot wine somewhere else. The loyal customers that shop at Festival and the employees should not have to put up with customers like the two of you!

Brian E. Steuart --- I am so utterly disappointed in your review, after having been nothing but kind and courteous to both you and your fianceé, Angela Denise Singleton.Your fianceé, Angela, came in and said, Are you going to go get me two bottles of wine or what? I directed her to the area, 10 steps away, and she didnt like it, and caused a scene. If that makes me undeserving of my job and is an indication of rudeness, I beg your pardon, I wholeheartedly disagree. To address your comments on the negative reviews: The owners are aware of them, and have heard my side as well. It is also a certainty that we cannot please every customer, but we really try our best every day.To give my side of a few 4-8 year old reviews since you brought them up in your review of us:1-Juan Lopez, (who changed their name to Jim Zgorski after reading my review) is not, nor has he ever been, a regular customer, and is trolling a male employee also.2-Peter Burg, Max Hammer, and S.A.K. are one person, a computer programmer working in D.C., who has been trolling this establishment for nearly 8 years. I politely & simply refused service to this individual because he presented an Alaska drivers license that had expired 1.5 years prior. His ensuing behaviour was so disturbing (evident in his rambling reviews) that after he left I immediately pulled up his Linked In profile / photo and printed it out with a detailed account for our records.3-Leslie is an Annapolis business owner who still showed up smiling to shop with us after writing a bad review. She called 3 times one day while intoxicated and was verbally abusive to me each time, because, per store policy, we could not accept a credit card over the phone. She was warned -politely but firmly, three times- that her calls would be terminated if the verbal abuse continued.4-Tom S. let his children run and play unattended during his entire visit and refused to respond to staff requests to keep his children with him. A customer both confronted and called him an a**hole and a terrible parent for being rude to me and for letting his kids run free to disturb other customers.Brian, it was nice to see you shopping in our store again on Easter Sunday. Thank you for giving us another chance.-----Festival employees are eager to help you! You may need to speak up and request assistance, and you may have to wait, as it is a very popular location and holidays are exceptionally busy for the small staff. There is a new craft beer section, tons of bourbon, including Hillrock, and a certified wine specialist on staff. If you are RESPECTFUL, HAVE A VALID ID TO PRESENT and have REASONABLE EXPECTATIONS of your fellow human beings, you wont have a problem. Its just that simple, and hundreds of thousands of customers served over a decades time have gotten it right and have left at least satisfied. Peace.

Max is spot on. Ive also had some terrible encounters with this new owner, Deborah (Debra?). She has a very unpleasant demeanor and is extremely confrontational. I finally told her in no uncertain terms that she just lost herself another customer. Its a real shame because this used to be a good store, conveniently located. Under the previous owners, I was a regular patron of Festival Wine and Spirits. Now I avoid it like the plague. Steer clear!

This store strives to always help its customers. Previous comments about Debra as owner is wrong. If folks have an issue with her try coming in or calling during the morning m-f n speak with the owner. Can not help those who do not bother to speak up to us n rather just make bad reviews. Thank you very nice to know since another customer pointed this out to us. Very sorry to see u r displeased n would love to show u different experience.

Hi ALlI just called and asked if I could pay for some bottles of wine since my daughter was coming to visit and would pick them up. The woman, who said she was the manager, told me that was fine and what did I want? I then told her the wine selection which she confirmed. She asked if my daughter was 21 and I told her absolutely as she is 24. She then said after the order and this dialogue that she could not take a payment over the phone...I asked why, as you told me in the beginning of the conversation that you could. I was frustrated now being told this was not possible and I di dnot want my daughter to pay. I explained I currently am recuperating from a fall and elbow surgery which forbids me to drive at the moment. She then told me I was being abusive I was flabbergasted! I was dumbfounded to be told that since I was questioning her initial answer with her conflicting answer? Is that abusive? Really? To accuse a patron abusive for asking a question is scary and unacceptable. That being said, perhaps she should not be in a customer service position dealing with patrons. Please be cautious when dealing with her as she might get defensive for asking a question!Just an FYILCS
