I recommend 10/10, the piercer was super nice and helpful, I needed new clear containers in my piercings and needed some help, he did it very efficiently and careful. Don’t remember his name but he was great. Receptionist was super nice, and overall super clean shop. He did a great job and my ears look just as I wanted and new job will be very pleased to see I followed through and have clear containers in. Thanks guys!! Will be returning soon.

Called in advance for an appointment to ask some questions. Once I arrived I talked to the lady working the desk and phones and she tried to gaslight me and act like she didnt say things that me and my significant other both heard her say over the phone. They then proceeded to put a piece of jewelery in after the piercing that wasnt the one I asked for. On top of that both the desk lady and the guy doing the piercing were extremely rude. I cant honestly believe that these people get away with their behavior and keep their jobs. Ive been here for several piercings before but after this experience I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone. Find somewhere else that has at least a smidge of professionalism unlike the employees here.

I was coming in for an industrial piercing, and they were upfront and honest with me that it would not be a good match with my ear. So instead we did my cartilage helix which I’ve also always wanted. They were super professional, knowledgeable, and checked in with me multiple times to make sure I was ok! Gave me lots of after care information and made sure to answer my questions/let me know what to do if anything were to come up. They’re super nice and I highly recommend! I’ll be back for all future piercings!

Scheduled an appointment for my actual birthday because the website said that they gave discounts if you come in on your birthday for piercings. The website also said that if you purchase gold earrings then getting pierced would be free. I was told in the store that because of covid they weren’t doing the free piercings, but I would still get a birthday discount. I ended up getting charged full price, and they charge way more than any other place I’ve been pierced at before. I think there are better valued piercing places around the cities.

The person I spoke with had a lack of care or concern with a piercing infection where the ear was almost completely swollen around the jewlery. I was told to schedule an appointment online which was booked out 3 days. Fortunately, I got into a different shop and after they removed the jewelry it was discovered that the jewelry Wingnut originally used was too small/not correct.

I had a piercing done on my right helix and my friend got her lobe doubles done here by the same piercer, Justin. It was a great experience, he made sure we were comfortable and kept up some casual conversation with us to help put us at ease. If I want any other piercings Ill definitely be returning to the Anoka location

Very rude customer service. Not sure why I was just told that my 15yr old daughter needs a STATE ID & we must have the same LAST NAME? Her birth certificate & my state ID should be efficient enough. The man who answered the phone couldn’t even understand me, or seem to know anything because he kept asking someone in the background questions. I feel after he heard my accent he no longer cared. But luckily another shop allows birth certificate & parents ID!

I got a set of lobe piercings done by Justin and I cannot express how appreciative I am of how nice he is.I was running a few minutes late and came into the shop in the middle of a minor anxiety attack and he and the girl working the front were both so nice and polite and didnt show an ounce of irritation while I was stuttering and shaking and apologizing. It was a really welcoming and friendly environment even though I probably didnt seem all that friendly, or welcoming, I was trying not to cry lol.The shop was also super clean and the placement of my piercings is super cute. Highly recommend 10/10.Again, I am so so sorry for being late.

Justin pierced my Tragus and he was very nice, engaged me in conversation, and help me understand the process of cleaning. I really like that I was able to talk about church with him as well. Most places you go no one wants to hear about that but Justin asked about my plans and when I spoke on church he continued the conversation with me. I most definitely WILL BE BACK.

Took my gf to get a chest piercing removed and they tell me I cannot go in, only her. She was very nervous to get this done and began freaking out when I couldnt come in with her.. Unnecessary covid restrictions even with all these vaccines and masks. Go somewhere else.

I had a great experience getting my first tattoo yesterday at Wingnut. Everything went as planned. Our artist, Abbie Welker, did a great job on design and applying tattoo. I would definitely recommend her to others.

Update: I spoke with one of the owners, who was very nice and he went over how they actually sterilized the piercing they put in my ear from my nose, which made me feel 100% better. From how I was treated from the piercer, I will still not be returning, but appreciated the call!I am not usually one to leave bad reviews, but this is sticking with me. I went to get my nose stud taken out permanently, since this is where I got it done, I trusted them. The man who let me in due to covid was very nice and welcoming. The piercer however, was not in the best mood. I get it we all have bad days but I felt like a bother. He took my stud out no issues, and then I asked if I could get my helix pierced. He used the same nose stud to save me some money, however I found out piercers shouldnt use the same jewelry unless cleaned for 20 min, which it was not. I wont be going back.

We made an appointment for three piercings, online. Pricing stated it was $25 per piercing plus jewelry.Upon arrival, we were informed by a sign on the door that only my daughter who was being pierced could enter the store. I wasnt happy about it, being fully vaccinated and willing to wear any mask didnt effect the ability to enter, but I understand. The individual who answered the door was curt, unfriendly, and our short exchange left me feeling uneasy about allowing my daughter to enter the establishment alone.To clarify, this was planned as my daughters celebration experience for her 18th birthday. She is a responsible and intelligent individual, I usually have very little concern regarding her ability to navigate new, difficult or challenging situations.I handed my daughter my credit card to pay for the services, an agreed upon gift, as she reluctantly entered the store alone.No more than a minute into her solo adventure she texted me: They are blunt. Having seven tattoos myself, I know this is common as the services provided in such establishments are mostly permanent and they want to be certain that individuals are fully aware of the process as well as details of what theyre getting. Not thinking of potential inability of being with her, I didnt prepare for this interaction.Fifteen minutes later she popped out of the building with a forced smile and stunned expression. She shared that she wasnt allowed to receive all three piercings because they only allow twenty minutes for piercing appointments. Since individuals who have appointments are only allowed in at their appointment time, that means the amount of time to select jewelry and receive the service is incredibly limited. She handed me a stack of stapled papers, on top the credit card receipt for charges of $249. Anticipating $150 max, I was shocked. (A friend had recently taken her son to get similar piercings in Minneapolis and it was $100.) Beneath it an itemized receipt, of which none of the charges notated were $25 or $50 for services. Considering my first interaction with the individual who opened the door, I knew asking for clarifications from them would be futile.Short awful experience summarized...-The experience felt predatory.None of the jewelry was priced, according to my daughter (price ranges arent listed on the website, the piercer shared with my daughter that she had chosen the last expensive jewelry.) The brief amount of time allowed for the appointment doesnt accomodate processing of whats happening (for a first time customer) and to commit to jewelry that will be worn for a minimum of six months.-Lack of communicationThe appointment was made four days in advance. There was no reason they couldnt have contacted us to communicate about the number of piercings and time allowance. Let alone, notifying of the limited attendance of guests prior to arrival. Multiple customers arrived while we were waiting and it was obvious they were unaware as well.-Poor business practicesAnyone who has experienced these services previously knows that choosing to receive services from these type of establishments is a big deal and often considered eventful. Part of owning a business in the service industry is recognizing its not just about the final product but also the experience. In retrospect, I have no doubt the owner of this establishment is capitalizing on every aspect of the COVID limitations theyre able to use to rationalize their current process.-Inappropriate guidanceThe jewelry my daughter selected was not appropriately sized (length of bar) for the piercings she received. They are excessively too long and are likely going to stretch the skin as they heal, making the holes larger than necessary.I would not recommend going to Wingnut for any first time experience while theyre operating at this level. I know people whove had great experiences here, so our interaction was extremely unexpected.

This place was very friendly and Paxton went out of his way to get me in for a new piercing! I had an appointment scheduled for a piercing and got stuck in traffic so I initially had to cancel the appointment, but Paxton squeezed me in to get my piercing. Paxton was also super informative and answered all my questions about another piercing I had been thinking about getting. Highly recommend going to see Paxton for all your piercing needs!

I came in to purchase jewelry by appointment made online. I worked with Justin. When I came in you do have to fill out questions in regards to COVID as you would with any reputable shop. Justin greeted me behind the counter, you could see even with a mask on that he had the biggest smile and he was one of the most patient and kind people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I purchased jewelry for my philtrum piercing (also known as Medusa) and he helped me find the correct size and one that would fit my face properly as he suggested that my piercing was located a little lower than it should have been placed. I will be coming back to purchase more jewelry from him simply because of his kindness and how he assisted me with my indecisiveness. And the piece of jewelry chosen was the perfect length and looks amazing. Thank you Justin for the experience you gave me in a simple sales task. (Also I wrote this calling him Jordan on accident and had to edit it so I’m so sorry on calling him the wrong name! Lol!)

I got my septum pierced by Paxton along with my boyfriend and our friend (they got nostril piercings) he was very funny and made the space comfortable and was very straight foreword so if you like that in a person/piercer definitely go to him! He did a fantastic job on all three of us and was patient with me while I obnoxiously and anxiously talked his ear off. Paxton didn’t disappoint any of us one bit! A huge thumbs up :)

First time going there and was thoroughly impressed by the system they had implemented in regards to addressing COVID. You have to set up an appointment and they will call you once it is your time to go inside the shop. Employees made sure to point out sanitizer and direct you to which counter they want you at. Everyone working was super nice.Got a nostril piercing from Paxton and it was really quick and easy. I was in and out in 20 mins as planned. Overall a very positive experience.

I had my nose pierced with Justin last week and he did an amazing job! He was so personable and had a great personality. Piercing service is extremely affordable but jewelry can be a bit expensive so keep that in mind! Ill definitely be back in the future!

Clean place and friendly staff. After telling piercer I would like a small nose ring that is snug to my nostril to replace the one I had, he chose one and told me he knew it would work and never showed me it to my face. Once the ring was in I hated it, but still had to pay a full $120 dollars for no service and a nose ring I will never use and received no sort of compensation for the piercers mistake.

This is based solely on false advertising and professionalism.I got my nose pierced a few weeks ago with a friend. When I set up my appointment I informed them of doing it on my birthday because of their birthday discount. On the day of, one of the girl workers greeted my friend and I at the door, but was very cold and annoyed while saying, you need to wait in your car and call Wingnut. Also, you two cant be in together. Totally fine for COVID reasons, but it wouldve been nice if we knew that policy before having that be our first impression.When I got my piercing Paxton was great. He walked me through everything and felt reassured. I had mentioned it was my birthday when we were talking and I brought up the discount. Right before paying for my piercing I mentioned the advertised deal from the website and he said, yep, we can do that. Ran my card and went on my way.When I got home later that night I noticed I was not given my discount. I called a little over a day later and left a message asking that someone just please call me back. By the next week with no answer I called during business hours. Someone answered and said, oh is this about the nasal piercing? (Meaning that they knew I left a message). His response was, because we are the only piercing place in the state to be doing nasal piercings we arent offering that discount at this time. I asked why I wasnt given that information when I was told I was offered the discount when checking out. He then started getting defensive and said, I dont know, I am just the front desk guy. He said the owner, Dave, would be back in a hour to call back. Called back in an hour, no Dave, he wrote my name down and said Dave would call me back. Over a week later with no call is why I am writing this review.This is a $70 discount I should have received from their advertisement and assurance from one of their workers that I was getting it. As someone who grew up in Anoka, I am very aware of this business with many friends getting piercings and ink from here. Very disappointed to give a low review on an establishment within my community.

Both my mom and I visited wingnut yesterday for nostril piercings. We booked online with Paxton via a family friends recommendation. I want to start out by saying Paxton was awesome. Super friendly guy and really easy to talk to. Fully sterilized all materials and was gentle. He explained aftercare well and kept a mask on at all times. Fully cleaned the whole room before we even walked out the door afterwards. However, when booking online we had no notification of what covid protocols were in place. When we arrived we found the front door was locked and there was a piece of paper with what looked like an essay on it talking about current protocol. Someone came to the door and asked if we were booked under my moms name. Could have been Justin, but dont quote me on that. Anyways, this person was straight up rude. Started out by saying you know you guys cant come in together. We have a no guest policy. My mom and I kind of laughed thinking maybe they thought we lived separate and explained we live together and drove here together. We are exposed to all the same people. We are both scheduled for piercings.. To which he responded very annoyed I hear it all day long. Just because you say it isnt going to change anything. If I was alone I would have walked out then and there. The only reason I stayed was because my mom really wanted her nose done yesterday. I then proceeded to sit in the car for 20 minutes while my mom had hers done (even though it was -10°F) then we switched. The whole time I was in there the same guy was scowling and slumped on his phone. Even was sweeping the floor right where I was standing on checkout. I politely said excuse me and got a grunt in return. Like I said, Paxton was amazing and super friendly. However the customer service by his coworker left a frustrated feeling on what was supposed to be a fun girls day out together, especially because together we paid $300 for the services.

I don’t know about everyone else but personally my experience was bad. Never felt so unwelcome before in my life. The way the guys/workers all talked sounded like they didn’t respect their customers at all. And most of them said things in a very rude way to me which made me felt so uncomfortable. Never wanted to leave a place as bad as I did during that moment. I’m just disappointed that I had such high expectations and drove so far to get service like this. Never coming back again.

Had an appointment set up and I got there 10 minutes early, and was told they were running behind and that they would call when they were ready for me. 2 hours later never got a call back and there was NOBODY in the parking lot and the staff was sitting in the parking lot smoking. Will not be going back

Disappointed that my daughter could not get her nose and ears pierced today. We made an appointment online and were not asked if she was a minor in the process. Drive through a blizzard only to be told that they do not allow minors in their shop. NO where on thier mobile website does it inform you of that fact.

The staff is super great and talented. Always professional. I cant wait to work with the new artist Abbie! Scheduling with certain artists can be a little annoying because they are booked farther out, but worth the wait!

5/5 stars to Justin, 0 for Paxton.I came here to get my double helix pierced, and originally it was done by Paxton. He wasn’t welcoming or friendly when I came in. He also wasn’t gentle in the slightest, clamped my ear super hard and was rough with the needle. The placement was right next to my first helix, so close to the point they were touching, which I asked for it to be separated. I came back two days later and asked for it to be taken out because I didn’t like the placement, and Justin offered to re-pierce it the same day. He made sure I liked the placement and was super gentle and pierced it very quickly. It hurt much less than the first time, despite my ear still being sore. Not only was very nice, he made it fast and easy, almost painless. I am so much happier with that experience and the new placement of the earring, if getting pierced I would recommend piercing with Justin

Got my double ear piercing today (upper lobe) and was very satisfied with the experience I had here. I had not been here before so I didn’t quite know what to expect but things went smoothly, the staff were friendly and the piercing process was easygoing and organized. I had Paxton as my piercer, he was great and knew what he was doing. He made sure I left knowing how to properly do the aftercare. The place was clean and comfortable. The earrings they sell are really nice quality and they had just what I was looking for. Next time I want a piercing I will be sure to come back!

I called to ask about earrings. They didn’t think they had the exact ones I wanted, but had a variety. I told the guy I would head down to see what they have. Drove from Princeton to Anoka, arrived at 8:40 (They close at 9), and was told to come back another day because they were closing early. You turned away a paying customer, and my transaction would have taken less than 5 minutes. I’ll spend my money elsewhere

Every time I’ve went here for a piercing they amaze me every time. Very friendly, affordable, quick, and know what they are doing. I recently got my nose done and was worried about the healing process, they said to come in anytime for a check up at no cost. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a piercing. Jo is my artist and I wont go to any other tattooer or parlor after working with him; just the best! Paxton is my piercer and I am planning to bring my daughter to him for her ears soon. The parlor is super clean and everyone is friendly. I cannot say enough positive things about Wingnut!

Paxton is my guy. He is absolutely the best. He has been my piercer since I was 18. He helped me fall in love with myself, every single time I put a new hole in my body it was if I finding obits of myself. He talked me out of a few bad decisions for sure, with proper reason and education. I always tell people who seek to make body modifications to see him out, for not only his advice, but his great attitude and personality. He really is a stand up guy with 20+ years of expertise and experience to back his words.

JESSE IS AWESOME. I got my first tattoo done by him a couple of weeks ago and he did such an amazing job!! The shading on it is incredible. I love my new tattoo and cant wait to come back to add color to it! Definitely recommend coming here if youre looking to get a tattoo.

Ive gotten a tragus piercing, a tattoo, and most recently a rook piercing here and have always had good experiences. I was originally going to go in on Saturday, hoping for Paxton (he did my tragus), but decided to go in on Monday. I got there and Justin did my rook and he was very thorough, communicative, and caring! I will always recommend Wingnut!
