Wir waren gestern erstmalig in einem Sterne-Restaurant essen. Unsere vorherigen Bedenken ob man dort hineinpasst wurden sofort zerstreut.Ein sehr freundlicher Empfang und aufmerksamer aber nicht aufdringlicher Service den ganzen Abend hindurch gaben uns absolut das Gefühl sehr gut aufgehoben zu sein.Das Ambiente insgesamt war sehr angenehm. Stilvoll gehoben und etwas besonderes aber eben nicht abgehoben oder stocksteif.Das Essen - kurz und knapp: fantastisch und ein Erlebnis.Wir kommen sicherlich gerne wieder und können auch diejenigen ermutigen, die sich noch nicht an die Spitzengastronomie herangewagt haben, das Lakeside zu besuchen und die Welt der Sterneküche dort kennen zu lernen.
Really amazing. I can say with joy and without shame that I have never dined so exquisitely in my entire life. Unique ingredients such as rays are also included. You also dont get into a decision-making misery, since you only have to choose which gear should be omitted. A relieving simplicity. On request, a sommelier will guide you through the evening. A waiter is always there. In terms of price, of course, only something for special occasions (which is due to the fact that luck has to be by your side to get hold of a reservation). Due to the constantly changing menus, you wont be bored even with repeated visits. Unfortunately, the outstanding view does not come into its own due to the structure of the restaurant and a balcony in front of it.You will never have to wait too long or too short in your 4-6 course menu, so you should reckon with 2-3 hours that fly by. A really enriching experience.
My wife and I have not had such a perfect evening for a long time. The staff are always very nice and competent. The whole teamwork is perfect. The food is a total taste experience. The wine recommendations are terrific. Last but not least, the look at the ages is also worth a visit. The lakeside could become an addicting factor.
It was not our first visit to Lakeside but the first under new chef Julian Stowasser and we were more than thrilled. The absolute taste experience was the three things about Scottish salmon, the warm-cold game, a dream. You dont have to write much about the ambience and the first-class service, the ambience is unique and the service couldnt be more pleasant.
It was an outstanding evening 😍Seldom eaten so well and had so much fun doing it. For me on the same level as the Haerlin.Mr. Buder and Mrs. Hehn guided us through the evening perfectly. Mr. Stowasser exceeded expectations.It was just a shame that our aperitif should last 15 minutes as the bar was overcrowded. Either a separate bartender has to work for the restaurant or orders from there have to be given a higher priority.We canceled the aperitif and started with the wine.Otherwise we were completely happy and will remember this evening for a long time and will certainly come back soon.
The fact remains: The Lakeside is a wonderful place, it ignites magic and arouses dreams.
Covid procedure is bad, but the food and the care are all the better. Excellent wine accompaniment to the perfect menu.

There is no better way to eat. From entering to leaving the restaurant, you are looked after perfectly, professionally and very sympathetically. The food was fantastic, the wines perfectly matched and the wonderful view of the Alster. It was a great evening and on special occasions, you can treat yourself to it. I will definitely recommend this restaurant.

In my personal opinion, a totally overrated restaurant with a maximum of average cuisine!Taste is always a subjective perception and therefore I only write what or how we perceived it: completely over-spiced and too salty. The arrangement on the plates is handsome, but thats about it.I would classify the price / performance ratio as sufficient at most! One would like to present top gastronomy there, but that didnt work at all that evening. High-priced does not automatically mean that you also have a good kitchen ...Also noticeable was the very pushy manner of one of the waitresses there, who felt like penetrating us every 6 minutes, asking when we should order wine. The wine list was advertised again and again, until at some point I said very directly that we really dont want any wine. This statement was then replied very snuggly with a comment ... well then!In general, we noticed on this evening how sometimes the waiters were haunted around the tables in an “intrusive” way and thus the feeling arose that they could not have their peace.Conclusion: For the money we ate much better in HH and had a fantastic atmosphere. Our impression of the lakeside solidified after 3 days and we unfortunately cannot recommend it. Still, kudos to one of the ladies there. She looked a bit awkward, but was very charming, funny and warm.
A culinary magic at the highest level.Last night we were in Lakeside. Our expectations were alreadyquite high, but what we were allowed to experience then has our expectations many times overexceeded.Highest perfection for the eye and the palate, an unspeakable experience, attentive service with high competence, worth every penny.We will be back.
It does not get much better ....... if service or the ambience, crowned by the view of the Alster and then you get a menu where one course exceeds the other and that until the end.Thank you for the wonderful evening, it was not our last in Lakeside
Award-winning restaurant. Modern right on the Outer Alster. Tip: at noon is the better view. When the weather is good, the bar is more worthwhile in the evening.UPDATE September 2018: Closed for lunch now!

The food was delicious and the ambience of the restaurant and the entire hotel was really masterful! But over 40 € for an aperitif and over 80 € per glass (!) Of good French red wine I find very inappropriate. Since I have eaten far better value for money in other top restaurants in Hamburg, which already had 1-2 stars. Pity!

Yesterday we were allowed to enjoy the 5-course menu, Nuevo Regio in combination with areas of molecular cuisine reminded us very much of Kevin Fehlings earlier gourmet cuisine from La Belle Epoque in Travemünde, which was already outstanding and innovative in 2014. The probably 10 greetings from the kitchen were detailed and paired with tasty surprises. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The panoramic view over Hamburg is also unique for a resident of this beautiful city. In terms of price, this gourmet kitchen is still in the entry-level range for Hamburg standards and we suspect that Switzerland import Cornelius Speinle and his team will continue to delight the guests of the Lakesides with its gourmet kitchen and Hamburg will give another Michelin star in the near future! We have been able to try the cuisine of Louis C Jakob, Sülberg and Jellyfish in the last 6 months and compared to the Lakeside we only found the cuisine of Jellyfish to be innovative and exciting. Maybe the other two introduced star seniors should cut off a slice of the young savages. We hope to be able to visit Hamburgs Number One The Table this year, which is not so easy given a lead time of around 3 months ..... ;-)The only negative thing about the Lakeside was the audience that I found (maybe everyone from the Provins or the outskirts of Hamburg). If you rate Hamburg stiffness and condescending looks regarding a high-quality and fashionable style of clothing, then I can give yesterdays guests the worst grade.; - ) So guys who want to be adjusted please come with a suit and tie. Casual probably only understands the audience in a few years ...

Chapeau!-Price level in comparison rather high with other star restaurants in HHKitchen trimmed a little too much on molecular and foamy ... with the great products, more courage to focus on the product itself!
