Be very careful with your schedules if you order plate from Kloeckner. We are a steel fabrication company and use fair amount of plate for hoppers and other mining equipment. Price-wise, Kloeckner is/was very attractive, offering plasma cut plate cheaper than our other suppliers. However, they have been chronically slow in making good on orders, often bumping back the delivery date multiple days. To compound the problem, we have found out about these delays only after calling them to find out where our orders were.If you can afford delays and uncertainty, Kloeckner can offer competitive pricing. Otherwise, you are probably better off looking elsewhere for your steel plate and processing needs.
