We have clothed with pants, dresses, tops, shoes, snow suits, jackets, PJs, long dresses, sneakers And, sandals ~3 grandchildren over the past 8 years.Pack n play, many infant seats, books and puzzles and so much more. The staff is fantastic. They are busy and always take care of us promptly and advise with great advice when we need it. Do not know how we would have enjoyed so many Holidays and BIRTHDAYS. Thank you to the best kids to kids 🎂💓🎈

On 3 separate occasions, I brought in a whole bag of clothes. Most of them still had the tags on them. Every time I find myself wasting 30+ minutes of my time to be told “sorry but we only can buy 2 outfits because we have too many clothes in this age group”. Like seriously? They couldn’t have told me this before I wasted 30 minutes of my time waiting for them to sort though the clothes? If they knew they had too many in that age group, why look through the whole bag? They just started buying clothes for the spring and summer and 95% of I brought today was spring and summer clothes. They told me they already have too much. They have an excuse every time to not buy your items. Save yourself time and sell somewhere else. After today I will no longer be a buyer or seller.

One star is way more than this business deserves. I think a 5 negative star rating would be more appropriate.The staff was very rude and I was offered the outrageous amount of $20 for $300 worth of baby items in like new condition (a couple of them never used).They just want to take advantage of people.

Very disappointed in what they offer for used clothes in excellent condition. It averaged out to be $1.50 each for 10 like-new items. Not worth my time at all. Meanwhile, I saw VERY used Carters pajamas being sold for $5.00 a piece! If they expect to get quality resale items in there then they need to offer better money.

I had a very pleasant experience shopping for my 2 year old girl and 5 month old little boy. so many nice clothes to choose from and the employees are really nice. some people came in to just donate clothes, and apparently they donate to a Guatemalan orphanage, which i find very sweet.

I would not recommend selling your items here. I sold 2 snuzas and some other items. I never opened the package for either one and I was offered $18 in store credit (which is 20% more than cash and they retail for $90 apiece). Youre better off selling at Once Upon a Time or Facebook Marketplace. Luckily we didnt pay for them but I am extremely disappointed, especially because it took way too long... and I actually stayed in the store!

Really doesn’t deserve a star the staff was kinda rude and when you call they’re never specific on what they will buy. Got pants no tops they want take them. The clothes got to be up to date. I mean they’re clothes and in good condition it doesn’t matter if they have tops or not they’re pants and people can find tops to match them. Y’all are just picky about things

This store has lots of nice kids clothing and gear. They also have a decent maternity section. I would have loved to buy a ton of stuff, however the dressing room door was locked. Your options are to change in the bathroom which smells like poo, or wait way too long for one of the employees on the cash register to unlock the door. I ended up waiting in the check out line for like 15 minutes and then just gave up and left without buying anything. Cant spend all day waiting to try on clothes.

I wish there was an option for 0 stars. I was visiting apex from Jacksonville NC (about 2.5 hours away) when I saw they were having an awesome sale. My experience with the store in Utah was great so I went in and purchased quite a bit of stuff. I paid my bill (a bit higher than expected but I was in a hurry to get home with my two kids 6 and 2) when I got home I checked my receipt and realized they charged me 58.60 for an item that was only 5.86. I have been trying call but there is no answer. I am livid.

Potential sellers: carefully inspect the clothes you plan to sell, first of all. Second, they only take clothes that look as though they’ve only been worn once or twice and never come into contact with a school or playground of any kind. If your kids play hard in their clothes, don’t even try to sell. Take them to the Salvation Army instead. Third, be prepared to spend at least 20 minutes to 1 HOUR while they sort and later offer the final meager amount.Potential buyers: it’s hit or miss here, obviously, since they get what people bring. I’ve gotten some pretty good deals on holiday dresses and school clothes over the years, though, so you may get lucky.

I was disgusted with the service I received when I walked into your Apex location at 10:00am today. I have been selling clothes to this location for months. I always bring my items in the same bag(cloth bag) and there has never been an issue with my bag and I have never been told items will not be taken if in a bag. So instead of being greeted by a friendly smile/hello, the lady at the counter(short red hair, who I hope is not the owner) started giving me and the lady behind me an attitude because our items were in bags. She started raising her voice when we asked about this new policy. She said its been going on for OVER A YEAR!!!! How come for the last 5 months I was never told this?! Instead of treating your customers with respect, the ones who bring in items so your business can survive (keep this in mind), you want to get snippy and push people away. I honestly will take my business elsewhere. I dont need to drive 30+ minutes with my baby to bring in clothes for a few dollars in return anyway. I will be passing this experience on to others that shop this location as well. Such a poorly run store with bad attitudes. Very sad!

Wish there was an option for 0 stars. Kid 2 Kid lost 3 large bags full of high quality childrens clothes that I was coming to pick up (because they were the wrong season).Lost. Gone. Nothing to pick up. I could have made $100s of dollars selling that stuff on Poshmark, etc and they LOST it. I have never done business with a less organized/ more careless company. They offered me $10 in kid bucks to spend at their store as compensation. No joke. Probably $500 worth of clothes. 😠

First attempt was terrible customer service was horrible but I have forgiving heart and thought maybe it was just a bad day for the lady. So I went back and once again the same lady was there and still very rude. That sad part is I suppose she was the manager or supervisor because she told the other staff what to do and seems as though she would have some customer service skills. I politely hurried and got out, I heard this was a good place to find my little one clothes but I would rather go elsewhere than be treated in that manner.

I always find the best deals and selection at this store compared to any other children’s consignment store. They are always friendly and well stocked.

I will keep this short and as sweet as I can. Went there to sell and staff was rude. Shouldnt take 3 hours to give a price on items they want to buy from you. Will NEVER go there again, to sell or buy.

We dropped off two massive boxes full of clothes and toys. Good quality clothes and toys. We never heard back from the store. When we finally showed up, they claimed that the clothes were out of season. It was obvious the boxes hadnt been opened.The prices and selection are not compelling.Laziness and used clothing in a store basically.

Their website sums it up the best kids grow faster than paychecks. Kudos to that because they do! If you find yourself sorting through a ton of Craigslist postings in search of bargain buys for your kids - give Kid to Kid a visit. The concept of the store is to offer gently used items and sell them at affordable prices. In short, its a kids consigment shop.

They have SOME really great deals here, but quite a bit of things are overprices considering its a secondhand store. Even besides that I have come in multiple times with tons of great quality clothes. Not only do they not take even 10% of it but, offer a ridiculously low pay for it. Most importantly, customer service is awful!! They are so rude and always seem annoyed. I hate how they act like everything needs to be perfect in order to accept it. Its a second hand store its not supposed to be brand new. Thats why people shop their. I think I speak for many when I say that my concern is that my children have plenty of clothes to keep warm and toys that I can afford. My concern is NOT if they are completely free of spots or imperfections. Kids destroy everything anyways. I am not suggesting dirty items, but striving for brand new looking is ridiculous for a second hand store. Its not supposed to be new! Just decent and affordable! The staff is not friendly, it makes me not even want to go. It is extremely unwelcoming. Honestly, I can get clothes at Walmart for cheaper then here. $7 for toddler pants are you crazy?? jeez. Even if your reasoning is for inventory, why dont you keep it for when you need it? Such a waste of items that can be used to keep you in business once you need it. Your business relies on us bringing stuff TO YOU... sooooo why be so rude, picky and overpriced? I wanted to do some Christmas shopping here for the few decent prices items, but I feel like such an annoying bother to them every time I am here! So never mind on that idea.

Save your time and go to once upon a child. Everyone who works there is so rude and unwelcoming. They need a different staff for a KID store. Don’t waste your time.

Not a bad selection but do NOT bring a bag unless you want to get a lecture. They also dont take short sleeve onesies so most of my baby clothes werent accepted.

I agree with the person who said she wished she could give zero stars.A negative star rating would be more appropriate.Both times Ive been here its been the most infuriating experience Ive had in this type of store. This last time I brought in a laundry basket full of kids clothes and some toys (several race tracks that require setting up).I was offered $4.99 for all of it. They kept a couple pairs of jeans and swim trunks that my son had never worn. Thats it! They were at least a dozen pairs of shorts, some of which had not been worn, yet they said they couldnt take them.They race track sets they couldnt use because they didnt have directions with them. They were complete sets any moron could figure out how to set up. It seems they were beyond the powers of the morons that work there.My previous visit Id brought in a wooden crib which they wouldnt take because there was no brand on it. I told them it was handmade in Asheville, nope cant take it.The thing is they dont tell you any of their criteria before bringing stuff in.This place is a complete waste of time. Ill never, ever set foot in this store again.

I had a good amount of fairly new items (rarely used) to sell to this location. As I was opening the door, one of the employees rudely said uh-uh while looking at me and shortly told me we dont buy things on Sundays... No problem-but be more polite about it. If it wasnt for customers bringing in their almost new/gently used items- you wouldnt have a job. I will take my business elsewhere.

Rude and poor customer service. I called to ask if they had a specific item and wanted to make sure (bc I was driving a long distance to come to their store only) and did not want to waste time or gas money. The lady who answered the phone told me she was too busy to check and for me to come check myself. She also said there are other things to look at and check out if they didnt have what I was looking for. I have called other retailers and they more than happy was willing to check for a specific item I was checking for with no problem and even if they were busy they would politely offer a call back to let me know or work out some type of communication. I have tried this place several times bc I understand people have bad days or busy days..but I will not continue to spend hard earned money in a place that doesnt even care about customer service. Obviously customer service is not a priority to them seemingly other reviewers have experienced the same type of treatment. I will not be shopping this location again. To bad the Cary location closed they were so much nicer.

Discounts for used clothes are about what you find for new at Marahalls, TJ Max and Burlington...so not very good deals. Their Cary location closed....so disappointing, as this location is not as friendly. Customer service reps seem annoyed to check out customers when you take them away from other duties like inventory....um check yourself...or you will close like the other location.

Customer service is the pitts. We tried to buy something, but the price was missing. We were told they would call us back the next day when the person who found get the price figured out s back in. A week later, no call and when we went to the store, it had been sold to someone else. Its our third bad experience in 5 visits, so were calling it quits on kid to kid in apex.

After speaking with the staff several times about what they will and wont take, I packed a (large) box to consign. Drove the over 60 miles (I live in Spring Hope) and dropped it off. I came back and they had barely taken anything. I honestly dont think they actually LOOKED through the box. They told me it had wash wear, was out of season or had stains. Hah! They bypassed a NEW WITH TAGS Janie & Jack set, several like new Gymboree, tons of off-brands like Jumping Beans, Circo that were like new or NWT. I was floored! They DID take 2 Polly & Friends dresses (with matching doll dress), several other sundresses including Gap and Gymboree, and some Stride Rite shoes. For that, I got less than $30. NEVER EVER AGAIN.
