This is MY HAPPY PLACE!!! My story - I needed a back light replaced and I called my local AutoZone, of course! Brandon answered the phone and told me to get right over and hed replace it. When I arrived he had screwdrivers IN HAND and WAS READY TO GO!!! UPBEAT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT WHEN DESCRIBING HIS ENGAGING PERSONALITY (and I noticed with every person that arrived and talked to him - THAT UPBEAT ENERGY WAS CONSISTENT!!!) The whole visit was SO FAST and I was SAD to go! THE WHOLE STAFF was so UP and the whole time we laughed and joked - PURE FUN!! Very cold January day and my car battery gave up completely.While charging it, I called Steve at AutoZone and was delightedto hear Steve had seven batteries to fit my car. I was successfulin getting there so within a few minutes Steve had Brendan removethe old battery and install the new one while I was in their parkinglot. Brendan was very good at installing the new battery and didntmind me watching his work. Brendan was very respectful andhelpful, he mentioned that my antifreeze looked a little low andshould be topped off. (This is a reoccurring problem.) Both menwere most kind and helpful, making it almost fun to have a batteryreplaced! I will be glad to visit them again. I recommend them.
#6340 I believe it was Joe that helped me out today. I had a dead battery, this morning and needed to replace it. After calling the store on Richmond, who said they werent putting in batteries today, because Wisconsin had a wind chill advisory. I asked if it was all stores, or just that one. The male on the phone said just that AutoZone. I then called store #6340 on Calumet. They were more than happy to help me out today. PEOPLE IF YOU NEED HELP WITH YOUR CAR, GO TO THE AUTOZONE ON CALUMET!!! Wonderful, happy employees, willing to help you out!!
Stopped in for a battery at calumet st autozone. Had talked to Steve on the phone earlier and figured out what battery I needed, was great on the phone. Got there and Steve and Andrew got me to the battery got everything rang up and then went out and changed the battery out for me! These two men were friendly, helpful and a credit to their store. Absolutely my auto parts store from now on. Thanks guys
The service was pretty good. I had to have a new battery installed on my Honda Odyssey. It took about 30 minutes from start to finish. The only downside was how expensive it was. $214 for an AGM battery with a 3-year warranty.UPDATE: Almost 2 weeks after install, the battery wasnt even attached and I couldnt start my van. See (somewhat blurry) picture. This shouldve NEVER happended had it been installed correctly.
Service was great and the headlight install was quick and helpful. Knocking a star because I could have done without the unsolicited political commentary.

Walked in with a check engine light on. The woman behind the counter got her machine and came outside and hooked it up right to my car. She was able to tell me the part I needed right away. Even though they didnt carry the part she gave me so much information that was super helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with all your vehicle needs
I needed some help comma with automatic transmission fluid. The worker was quite helpful in letting me know, that the fluid was low. He also then provided a funnel for me to add fluid to it. Great customer service! Too often that is lacking in the general retail environment!
Laurie is the main reason for this review. I enjoy giving large tips when served with a smile, giving credit where due and, letting people know to steer clear when a business is less than acceptable.I returned a few items but couldnt find my receipt. Got an in store gift card. Perfectly fine... Went to the store a few days later to grab some unexpected supplies - forgot gift card - asked if I could purchase then later come back to return then pay with some of the gift card balance - no problem I was told.When I came back a few days later to do so, Laurie accused me of playing the system several times.When she finally grasped the memory of being the one who gave me the gift card - It magically didnt work! Then the best part; I had to repay for the parts! Seriously? There was nothing that could have been done? Nothing at all?Ive been to this location 3 times while Laurie was there. Every time Ive heard her cuss, and present a very negative attitude. After my gift card that has been prepaid for is gone, I will not be returning.
I needed a rebuilt engine for my Ford Ranger. Talked to manager there who recommended the best engine for my application and recommended an installer after I asked for one. AutoZone delivered the new engine and picked up the core. The installation went perfect.

Went in looking for a hood latch. They unfortunately didnt have the part. While I was in the store my car battery died and wouldnt start again. I wish I wouldve remembered the workers name, but one of the employees came outside on a single digit winter day and tested my battery. We mustve been outside in the freezing cold for a half an hour testing that battery. I ended up needing to get a new battery and the same guy came out and spent another 20 minutes installing the new battery. I felt bad for keeping the guy outside in the cold for so long so I offered him a $ tip. He absolutely refused to take it and said to repay him by continuing to shop at the store. Needless to say I was impressed by the customer service and overall helpfulness of this particular autozone. I would recommend everyone to shop here.

I know absolutely nothing about cars so when I went in there for a brake light and a new handle for my door, the guy was extremely helpful in getting me what I needed and keeping the experience less stressful for me by cracking a few jokes along the way. Probably my new favorite auto parts store now lol
