My sister in law and our party had AMAZING experience here. Lexi our consultant was so professional and attentive. She truly listened to what the bride wanted and was extremely sweet. The dress selection was amazing! We think she may have found her dress there. Bella was so sweet and helpful, the space that we had to try on dresses was fantastic, the fact that they provided complimentary champagne through the appointment and to celebrate was just the icing on the cake. I am so excited to get to wear such a beautiful gown from such a wonderful place for my wedding! I will recommend this place to everyone I know!!! Izzy was amazing and so much fun! She was patient, outgoing, funny, creative and talented and matched our personalities and helped me find my dream dress!! From finding a veil for every dress and clipping them perfect so I could feel and see what my size would fit like, to advice about how to pee in a poofy dress she was the best part of the experience for sure❤️
This place is wonderful! I went here a few weeks ago to look for a bridal dress and my consultant was Krista! She was very sweet and knowledgeable about the gowns and connected well with me and my family. I’ve read some negative reviews about this shop, but I’ve worked in costumer service for 6 years and there’s always going to be upset costumers when they don’t exactly what they want. Don’t listen to the bad reviews and give this place the business! It was by far the best bridal experience I’ve had. Andi was kind and helpful and so were the other consultants! 10/10.
What a great experience saying yes to my dress at the Bridal Event. Izzy was so patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating during my visit, even after I tried on (what felt like) all of the dresses in the store. I will always remember this experience and how smooth it was from start to finish. I cant recommend this place enough! I am SO excited to see my dress!
While the bridal floor was stunning and had a nice selection of gowns, my bridal party and I were very underwhelmed with the appointment. There wasn’t much time taken to understand what dresses I’d prefer to try on/my vision, I was limited to trying on 10 wedding dresses & the consultant did not bring in any other dresses based on my feedback + her expertise, and when I was deciding whether or not I’d say yes to the dress, I was reminded, “We close at 3:00.” Meanwhile, another bridal shop had stayed 45+ extra minutes past their closing time to ensure I had a great experience. This is not the experience I was expecting to have, as I purchased my prom dress here years ago.
Everyone there was so friendly! I had a great time finding my dress and I would recommend that every mother of the bride go there! They had so many dresses to choose from and all the employees were so sweet to me and my family that came along. I am definitely going back there the next time one of my daughters gets married.
So thankful for Lexi at The Bridal Event! I was in a terrible situation with another dress store with only a month til my wedding! I called several other dress stores and explained my situation and The Bridal Event got me in ASAP and I ended up finding the perfect dress! They were not only able to order it so quickly and have it here in the same week, but Lexi was such a sweetheart!
Manager is unprofessional and Rude-Do to Covid I walk in with my face mask on, the manager proceeded to ask me if I was going to wear my face mask the whole time telling me it’s not going to help me anyway- the manager then proceeded to walk around to each one of the worker to let them know they will be going out for drinks after work- I was unable to find a dress in my size and the worker refused to let me slip it over my head. (I only tried on 2 dresses and they were not my style) They have a large section of dresses but not a great range of sizes. They had three size 18’s and one size 30-the manager came up to help find dresses and she proceeded to tell me im just going to have to find a dress I like without trying it on. She told me im not going to be able to try on dresses at any shop. And then asked me if I wanted champagne to lighten up the mood.-a couple of weeks go by and they call me to schedule another appointment. I told them I found my dress and will no longer need there services. I told the lady on the phone about my experience and then she had the nerve to tell me well maybe they can help find dresses for my bridesmaids.Moral of the story Bridal Event does not even deserve one star. They are unprofessional and rude. They do not have dresses for plus size girls and they will body shame you. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other shops out there, do not waste your time with the Bridal Event.
All of the staff are incredibly friendly and exceptionally helpful. The bridal consultant I worked with was Izzy! She was extremely patient and was able to figure out exactly what I wanted and was very knowledgeable about the gowns and everything to go along with them! I will definitely be returning and recommending them to my friends and family for future weddings and events!!
Miss Courtney!! She helped my daughter pick her wedding dress. She knew Exactly what my daughter wanted. She picked a dress we all love. We were all in tears. Wish Courtney was still working here. I would also like to add. The company has seemed to be going down hill. The atmosphere is not the same. I bought my dress here 4 years ago and they were very helpful and respectful. Its just not the same. What happened????
The store manager is a piece of work. She fat shamed my pregnant fiance and said they wouldnt do the alterations her and her mother already began paying for since she was going to just get bigger and bigger... Also stated that my fiance was going to have to find a new place to get alterations done at (with now 4 months before our wedding) and she gives birth a month before the wedding. We went in a few days after this call and there was a sign on the front counter stating that bridal alterations will be done for only the brides from this point on. So I guess my fiance wasnt good enough for them to honor this for her. Needless to say we will not ever be going back to this store and advising all others to steer clear of this shop.

All my bridesmaids(4) except for my maid of honor purchased their gowns from here. From the initial stop in on July 31st I was skeptical. They employees were not stylist so that was weird. We had to literally go through the rack and pick out which dresses to try on with no reference for the style of the dresses. Every try-on dress off the rack seemed to be around a size 8 so it was very hard to even tell what the dresses would truly look like on each bridesmaid. As my girls range in from a size 4-16. They all had put atleast the downpayment to get the gowns orders in by August 16th. When my sister (one of my bridesmaid) ordered hers they told her that they would put in the order. I vaguely feel liked they called me a couple days after that telling me that put the order for all the gowns in. I got a call September 1st again that the dress order was put in which means that since the intial visit some of my girls had paid for a dress almost a month prior and that wasnt even ordered. They told me the dresses would be here by December 10th or earlier. My wedding is on January 15th so hopefully my girls will have enough time for alterations. I hope I am wrong and put the order in when they should have on the 16th but Im not hopeful since from the start we were kind of on our own. Atleast the dress was pretty.
By far the best! Ive been engaged for 3 years, and finally set a date, so I need everything to be perfect for my special day. The staff here is AMAZING. Never once have I felt pushed into a decision, all of my questions have always been answered, and they go above and beyond. Izzy has helped me so much, and just made a lot of the stress go away! I still want to wear my wedding dress it was so perfect. Although my wedding consultant no longer works there, she convinced me to try on my dress that I never would have picked out for myself. It was originally blue and I purchased it in ivory. The entire process was so easy.What really stood out to me was the tuxedo service. Every bride I talk to, if they have a complaint at all, is usually regarding the tux/suit process. We had absolutely no issues. Everyones tuxes came in on time (actually earlier than expected - the Tuesday before our Saturday wedding) and fit like gloves. No problems with the colors or anything. Extremely satisfied in their service and ability to make things go without a hitch!
The ladys are so helpful! Went for bridesmaids dresses for my wedding and the maybe the whole experience better as I thought it would be stressful. They were also very reasonably priced; 10 would recommend!

I had an amazing experience today (11/7) with Angela while bridal shopping.A few main things I really enjoyed:1) the set up of the store - There are a few separate sections within the bridal area where its more private but yet so spacious. At other places I have been to, when you show your friends/family the dress, you are out in the open which is fine, but not ideal if a dress doesnt fit well or if you happen to have some area of your body be shown that you dont want shown.2) my consultant - Angela was AMAZING. This was my 4th place trying on dresses, and I felt she really listened to me when I was describing dresses I liked, didnt like, and what features I was looking for. I showed her a few photos too, which I think helped her help me narrow down my search. I also appreciated the different staff members they had there - I saw 4 people around while there and they were all different shapes, sizes, ages, and genders, which made me feel welcome because I wasnt getting advice/help from someone who was unlike me - I felt comfortable with everyone there.3) the hospitality of everyone on staff - Along with waters in our room, the store manager Andi checked in a few times to see how things were going and if we were comfortable with the temperature. Another staff brought us champagne when I said yes, and multiple staff offered to take out picture when we wanted to take a photo with the I said yes signs. I also feel that they explained the measurements, sizing, and ordering process well.4) the overall atmosphere - As stated above, the set up of this business is really great; you check in downstairs then are taken upstairs to choose dresses and try on. It was bright and airy, I think the dresses were displayed beautifully and we didnt have to push dresses around - there was plenty of room. Everyone seemed to be happy and were so nice when we checked in.I was recommended by a friend and I definitely will be recommending a friend to The Bridal Event :)
Came in to get an idea for my MOH of what style of dress she wants for the wedding. The staff was super helpful without being pushy at all. All our questions were answered, and our ideas heard. 10/10 would recommend.
This place was absolutely horrible. We went to get bridesmaids dresses and the women at the counter were catty, staring and couldn’t be less helpful. They never came over to assist in any way. Not sure if they hate people that arent size 2 but they look down on bigger people. They even had the audacity to fat shame my friend. Oh and THEN when she commented on it publicly - she stated “I’m sorry you had this experience, however we will use to this to change the way” we deliver the statement therefore adding validity to their horrendous behavior. If you are absolutely desperate and are craving a miserable experience - go here. The fact their seamstress quit was made to feel like everyone else’s problem but the manager. NEVER go here. THE. WORST. Anyone reading this review: search by the lowest - the common denominator here seems to be Andi (rude, disrespectful, self serving and a fat shamer seems to be the common themes) and staff being rude to bigger people.
Great selection of dresses. Great service. The only suggestion is to have robes available for the bride, so when go from dressing room to dresses she doesnt have to hassle herself with putting on her street clothes. That gets exhausting.
If I could give zero stars..I would. I will say when I found my dress Brandi (no longer works there) gave me the bridal experience I always dreamed about when I found the Dress. I had all 6 of my bridesmaids even find their dresses there because Brandi was amazing. And thats about where it stopped being good. Everything was fine/okay service until I found out I was pregnant with my miracle baby in January. I had asked the front desk girl (also she was super nice) if i could move up my hem and bustle alterations from August to sooner due to finding out i was pregnant. They let me know at the time, someone would call me the next day to talk about it. A week goes by and Andi the store manager finally called me. I let her know i was in last week asking about it and she snapped back well i have the seamstress here now and im calling you now about it. Then store manager Andi said she wanted to do all my alterations in August. Even with me explaining i was going to be 8 months pregnant then.She told me she wasnt going to have her seamtresses continue to do work if I was just going to get bigger and bigger, it was a waste of their time. (Even tho we started alterations already since I was getting my dress with custom pieces added) She has given me the bridal experience from hell to be frank. Then 45 minutes later called back sweet as pie when she realized all 6 of my bridesmaids.Final straw came when she called 2 weeks ago letting me know her seamtress walked out and that I would need to find someone to do the alterations with only 4 months left until my wedding. And now 6 months pregnant and my dress no longer will fit. So stay away if you can! I had so many people tell me after the fact they have had terrible experiences as well. There are SO many mom and pop shops that will treat a customer so much better than this company ever will!
My daughter and I went there and found the dress last year during covid. She was so excited and they did a couple of alterations. We even had her 6 bridesmaids buy their dresses there and if this last situation didnt happen then all the tuxes would have been done through here as well. My daughter found out end if December she was pregnant and just a little backstory had a slim to none chance of this. Once she found out she inquired about getting alterations done before she got to big due to her due date being September and a month later getting married. After waiting to here back from anyone for over a week she finally got a call from Andie the store manager who basically said she wouldnt do it since she was just going to keep getting fat (strike 1) - this mom calmed down her upset daughter. Then my daughter gets a call and says we cannot alter your dress we have no seamstress (understandable things happen) but there are 7 dresses that need alterations including a very pregnant bride (strike 2) and No help no suggestions in what or who to go to no let us give you a discount (strike 3) - just rudeness. So after this mom gets a phone call from a crying daughter I call the store and Andie wouldnt talk to me so the employee has to deal with me. She says what she is told to say to me and still no help - just got a too bad so sad and deal with it not our problem answers (i recorded the phone call). Went and picked up the wedding dress that day and was made to pay for the little alterations that were done and not done right ($75) worth and no discount plus finished paying for the rest of the dress - around $1800 total. Well now we are scrambling and btw I was told they might hire a new seamstress but they wouldnt want them working on beautiful dress and ruining it so I said well you will have someone to do the alterations and then they say well no we do not know if we will hire someone new - so which is it (remember recorded conversation). So so so disappointed in this place and Andie the store manager needs to get an attitude and manners course because she is the face of this store and she just isnt a good fit!!! Next daughter that gets married will be going to david’s bridal!!!

I understand the need for this part of the practice- you don’t want crowds gathered inside.However-Once I got inside, not one worker was masked, and the one whom I spoke to on the phone walked right up to me.This made me feel not only unsafe, but as if their word held no integrity.If a business is going to post signage that they are following protocol, thenTHEY SHOULD FOLLOW PROTOCOL.
I ordered my bridesmaid dress in February for a wedding in October. The dress was not shipped until two weeks before the wedding, was not ordered in the correct size, and it took three fittings (the last one three days before the wedding) before I took the dress home. The day of the wedding, I went to put the dress on and there was a six inch tear between the bodice and the skirt. No one checked the dress before handing it to me at my last fitting and I had to scramble to fix the tear that should not have been there in the first place. It took 8 months for my dress to get to me in the first place, and when it did, it was disappointing at best. This was the most stressful wedding experience Ive ever had, which is why Ive given this place 1 star.
We had such a fun time here!! All the girls were extremely kind and helpful! Found bridal dress, bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride dress here and each time we had amazing service! Andi the manager is amazing to work with and does a great job!! Would highly encourage anyone to stop in and check out their selection! :)
We went in to get our dress fitted and the seamstress would NOT stop talking about the weight my friend gained. It was so disrespectful. I’m appalled that someone would think it’s ok to bring up someone’s weight not once, but 6-7 times as well as asking why she gained weight. Please address this with your staff.

The ladies down at that department were very helpful and we found the right look for the guys. They also got a discount since i am getting my wedding dress from them too.Cant wait to see all of them dressed up at the wedding. Would Highly recommend this place.

Ordered our bridesmaids dresses and tuxes from here. Everything was beautiful and perfect! The staff was very helpful in pulling dresses that were in my color and the fabric that I wanted. Once we were ready to order they were very helpful with measurements and planning as one of my bridesmaids was pregnant. That being said the alterations department was awesome in making sure that all of the girls were fitted properly and felt comfortable in their dresses. LOVED OUR DRESSES!The tuxes were also a very pleasant experience. When choosing which tuxes to go with they showed me all the options for gray tuxes and they had access to the bridesmaid dress swatch from upstairs so their ties matched perfectly. All of the tuxes were fitted properly and the guys looked great! We had groomsmen, ushers, and fathers all fitted and dressed and I couldnt have been happier.Highly recommend for the overall experience and selection!
This was our first time dress shopping and the future bride was still trying to find the style that worked best for her, which can be challenging, I understand. Our bridal consultant was helpful at first trying to help her see all of the styles and get a feel for what works best for her, but it was clear she was starting to get frustrated at the end because the bride didn’t find a dress that spoke to her. At the end of the appointment, I overheard 2 co-workers speaking negatively about our appointment together, saying the whole thing “was sh*t”, which I found hurtful and wildly inappropriate - the bride has NEVER tried on dresses before and is trying to find her style and enjoy this experience. This is your job and you’re here to help the bride find their dream dress, not be rude.Huge turn off, I don’t recommend this place as their consultants are NOT supportive of you at all. They’re rude.
I worked here for 2 years. Loved everything about my job. My coworkers, my brides/customers, everything. Upper management decided to ignore the employees who make their business run and run well. Those employees who held any kind of supervisory or leadership positions have resigned due to poor ownership and new management that holds no knowledge or experience in regards to their jobs, let alone can’t handle doing them. All of my past customers who still have their items with TBE have relayed how horrible the business overall has become since higher staff have left. This makes me so sad as I loved The Bridal Event with every professional and creative bone in my body. I designed an entirely new website for them and they haven’t so much as touched it since I left back in February of this year. It upsets me that the 200+ hours I put into this beautiful website are basically wasted on ownership/management that doesn’t care about what they do and whether or not they do it well. This is plainly evident in their most recent reviews. Talk about a wake up call. I do not recommend The Bridal Event.
Bridal event has great selection of gowns but I personally have had terrible, cringe-worthy experiences and so have my bridemaids. The new manager/owner, Andi, is just looking to take your money. She will never address any problems, say sorry or care about customers. She physically cannot say “sorry”. She also talks right in your face and NEVER WEARS A MASK, which I find highly unprofessional, and really says a lot about how self serving she is.I remember being so excited to try on my dress when it came in. My 80 year old grandma and mom came from Arizona. We were ready for a wonderful memorable day together. I tried on floor model while staff found MY dress that just came in... floor model was beautiful. Then, the moment we had been waiting for, I got in “MY” dress. I BAWLED. My gown was tattered, the lace was smaller and the embellishments were different. The seamstress came up and said it just needed to be “pressed”??!? The inside of dress poured out over the neckline of my dress . There was a huge snag in the hip (poor sewing/craftsmanship ) the seamstress suggested I was too big for dress!? I snapped at her and asked “why would only my right hip be too big for this dress!??” It was clearly a VERY POORLY made version of the floor model. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. How could NO STAFF see that this 2000$ dress I ordered was trash?!? My mom looked like she was going to cry and shook her head as soon as I put it on. She pointed out more craftsmanship flaws. I went to the bathroom and THREW UP 3 TIMES. It’s a terrible memory! I hate thinking about it because my grandma was all dressed up and so excited.I will never get that back.I never got any discount or even a “sorry”. Thankfully my wedding wasn’t for a while so I had time to WAIT AGAIN for another dress to be ordered.The day of my wedding, my sister’s dress had a size 12 written on it front and center. She was embarrassed and upset after spending 200$. She called to complain and this manager, Andi, made her cry. She never said sorry but yet blamed me (the busy bride) for not inspecting it when I picked it up?!? That is NOT my job. The staff is suppose to inspect dresses when they get to store. Apparently my wedding dress, along with my sister’s bridesmaids dress wasn’t ever Inspected. I am upset the manager couldn’t say sorry and blamed the bride. She even had the nerve to say “what’s up with this bridesmaid” all snotty like I was about to gossip about my bridesmaid with her???? LolIn summary, I try to forget about my terrible experiences with bridal event . The only good part about my time there was Brandi. She’s an angel and cares about the brides feelings and concerns. She wants to help every bride feel special. The other staff is constantly changing and has a large turn around.It’s a shame because it’s a great local selection. The manager’s attitude will catch up to eventually ruin the bridal event’s reputation . Word of mouth is everything and the customer is right. Especially when that customer is a bride

My experience at The Bridal Event did not live up to my expectations. Knowing that they do not take appointments, I went to the boutique and was told it would be about an hour and a half wait. She took down my name so we’d be “in line”. We left and returned after the wait and was told we’d have to wait another half hour because “they got busy.” Over 45 minutes later we finally got upstairs to the Bridal floor. The consultant was nice, but didn’t seem interested in learning about my wedding day or making my experience more fun and personal. I didn’t appreciate the customer service provided by anyone I encountered at the boutique. The website was nice and well presented but not updated. There was a dress on there I really wanted to try on but was told they cannot get it anymore. The presentation of the dresses wasn’t as neat and tidy as I would have expected. I didn’t feel like I was at a quality Bridal Boutique.
They fixed my dress very quickly and helped me with everything! Excellent service!
This is by far my favorite Bridal salon around! The staff is honestly the absolute best! So helpful, friendly, kind and accommodating for all of your needs. I purchased my first wedding dress from them 5yrs ago, I helped my best friend purchase her Military Ball Gown from here two years ago, and next week I will be purchasing my second wedding gown from them. My consultant is Lisa and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her for all of your bridal and wedding party needs!!!
My best friend was there to find her dress to make her dream of marrying her best friend come true. Everyone was so welcome and great......until we met our “consultant.” Brandi/ Brandy was passively pushing the bride to choose a dress other than what she wanted. She told the bride to not think about it for a few days and to go shop somewhere else. She even insinuated she was fat! 😡 Extremely unprofessional, incorrect, and out of line. I suggest nobody else books an appointment with her!
Went here for my sisters weddings for bridesmaids dresses and been very happy with their services. Everyone is very nice and are very helpful. I currently have a dress there from one of the weddings coming up in September and the lady who helped me measure me for my dress did a phenomenal job in guessing my size, when I tried it on fit perfectly! Dont need to get it altered, super happy with the dress!
So my soon to be wife asked me to take her to the.( Dancing with the Stars ) this sunday.at the P.A.C. I said sure but well have to take you shopping for a new dress. Jeanette said ok. So the next day on Tuesday we went to 3 different stores. Nobody has a size 0 pretty dress in store. So after leaving Kohls we were driving down Richmond street. As we passed the Bridal Event. I said. I betcha theyd have a size 0 dress for you. We walked in and they were SO NICE. As you can see in the pictures. We found the perfect 👗 dress for Jeanette. Thank you Bridal Event 😁
First salon I went to look for my wedding dress. Recommend getting there as soon as they open, if going on Saturday. On our way out there were a lot of groups waiting. Ashley, my consultant was amazing! She listened to me and figured out what I liked right away. Tried on about 12 dresses and she picked out the ONE! Bought my wedding dress at the first place we went. It was a great experience. Would recommend the Bridal Salon to anyone!
I was completely shocked to come here and find my dream wedding gown! The staff here was wonderful to work with from beginning to end for not only services related to my dress (fittings and preservation), but also ensuring that all of the men looked their best in their formal wear. We were so happy with the staff and services here, that we returned a month after my wedding to acquire formal wear for another event we attended. Love this place and we will be back!
Workers were not wearing masks. They were not keeping distance from customers either as they walked right up to me and helped customers get in dresses without masks on. I felt unsafe. Additionally, the manager (Andi) was making unprofessional comments about other employees (while she was not wearing a mask).
Wonderful experience!We came on a busy Saturdays and only had to wait for about 10 minutes. Mikayla was extremely helpful and made the shopping experience special and fun. The bridal section is beautiful and there were plenty of dresses to choose from. I would recommend The Bridal Event to any brides!
Not much personal help. Stylist didnt know much about dresses nor about the alterations. I was hoping for a great experience where everyone was helpful and gracious but I did not receive it here. I did find a dress that I really liked but because my mom and I found it, not because anyone was helping us.
Incredible customer service!! They had a beautiful selection of dresses and super helpful consultants. They genuinely want you to find the perfect dress and be completely satisfied with your purchase. Totally impressed!
Would not go back.They did a wonderful job on my dress.I bought shoes and brought them home for one day and they wouldnt let me return them. I tried them on, on carpet at the store and realized when I got home and wore them in my kitchen that there was no tread on the bottom. I explained I only wore them for 10 minutes when I got home so I guess I have a pair of $60 shoes to look at. Be careful.
Great service when you want to purchase a wedding dress....go there for anything else then forget it! It was like I was bothering them by wanting to buy a corset bra. Couldnt even be bothered to measure me or help out it on. Bridesmaid dress shopping was ridiculous here too. I wish I had not purchased my wedding dress here after the experiences with the bridesmaid dresses and bra shopping. They dont deserve my money. Sales associates act as if they dont have time to help even when the store is empty. Bottom line - if youre not there for a big ticket item, it doesnt matter to them. Ended up at Davids Bridal for both bridesmaid dresses and my corset. The staff went above and beyond there to help. The Bridal event could learn a bit about customer service from them!!!
Barb is the best consultant I could have ever asked for. She knew exactly what to show me and how to read my reactions to help me find the perfect dress! And then when I went back to find my bridesmaids dresses, all the girls helped us find exactly what we all wanted.I loved my experience so much that Im even going through them for my invitations, and they are giving me so many options at an amazing price for the quality.Thank you The Bridal Event for making my big day so much easier than I thought possible
I bought my bridal dress here and Brandy and the tailor, Ryan I believe his name was, were great. The store called me to cancel my fitting appointment less than a week away because they are closing the shop for cleaning. I was upset at this because I had to take the entire day off for this appointment, but after being transferred to their manager and with some prodding, she finally told me that a customer had come in to the store who was diagnosed with COVID-19. Now I completely understand why they are closing so suddenly. When I said that she should have told me that to begin with she told me that they are handling it as delicately as possible with the customers (i.e., not telling them). I think the customers should be told...in the spirit of transparency and what measures the store is taking now to disinfect and the length of time they are closing. In addition to having that information deliberately withheld the manager made a snarky, rude comment ...should I just let you in for a fitting during the COVID closing? Im appalled the manager is speaking to customers that way. If they had told me upfront why they were canceling my appt, I would have understood, end of story. All of this was handled so poorly...will not recommend.
If I could give this place less than a 1 star rating, I would. I went to Bridal Event two different times to look at bridal dresses. The first time I went, I had a picture I found on their website of a dress I liked, and was hoping to try on. I walked into the store and saw four ladies standing behind the counter. Not one of them greeted me or asked if I needed help. I approached the counter and tried to ask the first girl if they had the dress in their store. She barely responded, and didn’t even try to offer help. Finally one of the four girls looked it up on her computer. All of them acted like it was a problem to help me and seemed bothered that I interrupted them. I tried on a couple dresses and found one I liked. I came back a few days later to try on the dress to make sure it was the one. This experience was even worse than the first time. Two girls were working. It was the same situation. They were behind the counter. I had to approach them and ask for help. They were extremely rude. I was in the fitting room for a while. They did not help or check on me. When I came out of the fitting room, I went up to the counter to ask the girl a question about the dress. She wouldn’t look up from the pad of paper she was writing on or respond to my question. I had to ask it again, and she finally rudely responded. It was the worst shopping day I have ever experienced! Shopping for your bridal dress is supposed to be a special time and day, and the ladies in this store took away from that and ruined that experience. Thankfully all of the other bridal stores I went to were a totally different experience to make up for the horrible experience at Bridal Event. In the end, it came down to the dress from this store and a dress from a different store in the area. I liked them equally so I took my business there to purchase my dress. I wouldn’t give this place a penny! There are so many other bridal stores in the area, and no need to waste your time on a place like this that treats customers so badly. Brides don’t even bother with this place, and save yourself the hassle, and leave it off the list when shopping for your dress.
They dont have every dress in your size, I had to try on several to big dresses and a few to small ones. I COULDNT REALLY VISION MY DRESS of those.The service was nice, though you get that at any bridal shop. Davids Bridal has way better prices, I actually got two dresses (one for walking down the aisle and one for the reception) for the price of one at The Bridal Event.
I dont really want to leave a bad review, but the customer service is what is making me do this. I had a great time shopping for my dress in the store. Brandy was so helpful with not only myself, but helping my mom and godmother find dresses too. But now that I am trying to make an appointment to get my dress altered, I dont get an answer back. I get that Covid-19 is going on, but I am a bride that is stressed because of it. The bridal shop shouldnt make it even more stressful for the bride. I asked if I could make an appointment for alterations. Their reply was Sorry but everyone is closed, all stores. So then I asked if I could pick up my dress on a certain day which is my only day off and I live in Madison, so it is a 2 hour drive. Their response was, Can you please leave me your contact phone number and I will call you tomorrow and we can go over all questions you have. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I left 4 ways of contact, as I am an essential employee, I cant answer my phone at work. I left my phone number to call or text, to facebook message me, and my email. I am pretty sure that they called once on that Friday at 5:30pm, I was still at work and missed the call. They never left a message. So, I messaged them again on facebook that following Tuesday if I could come pick up my dress via curb side pick up. I still have not heard anything from them. I also, did the email contact on their page on Thursday, still havent heard anything from that as well. Overall, I am not happy with their customer service and answering their customers that have no other way to contact them other than facebook or email. My wedding is in 4 months, in August, and I havent even started my alterations yet. Also, would be nice if they would give you a call once in awhile to make sure that you still need the dress and to possibly set up an appointment for alterations or anything else.I am not happy with how they are not answering messages. I get that stores are closed due to Covid-19, but somebody should still be answering the messages that anybody has.
Even more frustrated with Bridal Event now. The lady that did measurements was not only very judgmental about my size but also way over measured. When I had said the measurements didnt sound correct, she told me she was adding some because that time of year people eat a lot. I am now stuck with an alteration bill of $100.
I had chosen to go to The Bridal Event because I had found a dress in my hometown that I liked by couldnt try on since it was too small. The Bridal Event had a size that would work for me so I decided to give it a try. I was absolutely blown away by this place and the girl, Olivia, who helped me. The customer service was beyond amazing and they helped me to find the perfect dress for me. She worked with me no matter how many dresses I tried on. Mind you both places in my hometown sent me into the dressing room by myself, leaving me to try to navigate into these dresses on my own. I would without a doubt recommend this place to anyone!
I was in the store before close last night I was very disappointed to hear the conversation Between two employees. It’s very discouraging to hear two employees talk to each other the way they did. It was hard to concentrate on picking out a bridesmaid dress when i heard an employee being so rude to the another employee. I heard the employee tell the other one “ to cut the attitude”. That is not how you talk to an employee when customer are in the store. I come here to shop not listen to employee disrespect each other. Before I left I overheard it was the manger taking to the employee that way. If they can treat their employees that way how do they treat their customers. I won’t even bother calling to make a complaint when I know nothing will be done. Bad management skills. Looking at all the Negative reviews you guys should be embarrassed.
I called ahead to see if they took appointments and I was told walk ins only (for bridesmaids dresses), and we would be helped in the order we came. We got there around 1:30 on a Saturday, and there was another party ahead of us, so my girls and I just browsed and put our name in so we would be helped when the others were done. Just a side note, WE had to say something, because no one came to us to welcome us or ask what they could do. 30 minutes later, the other party had cleared up and we were able to get into some dressing rooms. Myself, as well as a few of my bridesmaids, went up to both girls working multiple times and they said they would be there to measure us shortly. After 45 minutes of nothing happening at all, one girl came up but didnt offer to measure us, but instead asked what we were there for again, and then had to leave to do something else. I understand that Saturday is a crazy time to shop, but we all felt that the store was very unorganized, and would suggest having more staff, as well as taking appointments for large groups. We ended up leaving because we sat there for over 2 hours, when finally someone came 10 minutes before we had to leave for another store that we made an appointment for at 4:00.I am never the kind of person to complain or be upset at people, but I felt as if we were just at a regular clothing store, and that isnt what a wedding should be about. The woman we talked to WAS very nice, but seemed overwhelmed.We ended up taking our sale (of over $1200) to Davids Bridal, because even though there were 5 groups of bridesmaids, and many brides, we all still felt so welcome, and they waited on us as if my wedding were just as important as their own. The environment was amazing.I hope that the day we were at The Bridal Event was just a fluke!
What a memorable experience - Loved the entire business from picking out my perfect gown, selecting eleven unique bridesmaids dresses, two adorable one-of-a-kind flowergirl dresses along with mothers dresses. They have everything! Now onto the guys - biggest selection of tuxes and suits. It was hard to make up our minds, but the tux experts know their business and helped us coordinate the best look for the guys! When I was called that my gown along with all the bridesmaids dresses were in we had the perfect fitting experience with their custom fitting department. The seamstresses were friendly and knew their business. All our dresses were safely stored in their fireproof vaults and steamed & pressed for FREE!Everyone looked gorgeous! We had a perfect wedding day thanks to The Bridal Event!
I ordered my wedding dress at the Bridal Event in July 2012. While there were fewer gowns here than the first shop I visited, there was a wider range of styles and I was impressed by the stellar service. My consultant Ida was helpful, encouraging, and listened to what I wanted. There was no pressure to buy at any point and I was allowed to take photos of the dresses I tried on as well as see the designer and style number. I was also able to talk to a seamstress at my appointment to discuss the alterations I wanted to make and got a quote for them right away, so I dont have to guess later on. I highly recommend the Bridal Event and look forward to visiting again to look for dresses with my maids!
Suit didnt fit. They measured pant size but said that ordering was based off the jacket size when the pants I received were 8 inches too big in the waist. Had to have everything altered to even be able to wear it at the wedding.
When I saw the charm of the building, I was so excited. When we walked in for our appointment, we found out that 2 other groups came in unscheduled. We were informed that our attendant would be have to stand in the hall so she could support all 3 groups. We picked out all the dresses. We helped dress my daughter and only once did the attendant even pop her head in. So disappointing. Even if we found THE dress, we wouldnt buy it here. My daughters energy went from excited to discouraged in 1 hr.
I would not recommend this bridal store at all. Terrible customer service and the consultant was not very helpful whatsoever. My sisters overall experience there was horrible.
I have had such a great experience at The Bridal Event. I knew from the moment I walked in there that I was in the right place. The people were so friendly and I did not feel any pressure to buy. I was reluctant to buy a dress prior because of an awful experience at Davids Bridal but our consultant and the others working there were patient and wonderful. I loved that I did not need an appointment to try on dresses for myself or my bridesmaids. I also love that I can come in and try on my bridal gown whenever I want. They never seem upset when I do. Just a wonderful experience and I recommend that any future brides give this place a chance. At least go check it out.

My experience at The Bridal Event was excellent! After trying dresses on at a few other places and not finding the one I finally made my way to the bridal event. I decided to shop for my wedding dress on a Monday during the day and it turned out to be a great idea; we basically had the entire place to ourselves. I walked in and was immediately paired up with Kelly, my bridal gown specialist. She walked us upstairs and took us to into a huge room to try on dresses.After we were shown to our room we were free to go to the bridal gown room and hand pick dresses to try on. All of the we picked out were taken back to the room by Kelly, and when I was ready to try them on she helped me with that as well. Kelly was wonderful and fun to work with and let my mother, aunt and myself have our moment alone together when finally found the one. The dress I ordered was sized perfectly in both length and size by Kelly and did not need any major alterations. She also helped me personalize my dress with a beautiful hairpiece and jewelry.Since I was so happy with my dress, I asked my bridesmaids to get their dresses here as well. Although we could have found the dresses for a less expensive price elsewhere, I thought it would be nice to keep all of our wedding items at the same place. The Bridal Event employees did a great job with sizing and the dresses were delivered in a timely manner. My now husband also rented tuxes from The Formal Event downstairs and he was happy with how they looked and fit. Again, the tuxes were a little pricy, but you will definitely be happy with what you pay for. Overall my experience was fantastic at the bridal event and I would recommend it to any other bride-to-be in the Fox Valley.
Staff was extremely helpful! They help you in the changing room and even suggest dresses based on your body type. Very personable even though they were busy! I ended up getting my gown and bridesmaids dresses here. Great variety of selections too!
Great experience buying my wedding dress! 5 Stars!!Men AVOID COMPLETELY.- Offered things they couldnt deliver on, horrible communication amongst staff, caused mass confusion with our Groomsmen and we are still uncertain what the plan is ...after many phone conversations. Super disappointing and undue stress. I cant wait to be done working with them. Wedding is in 14 days....stay tuned...
I drove 2 hours to go to Davids Bridal for my wedding gown. After spending half an hour to pick out three dresses I liked, I asked a salesperson if I could try them on. She told me I had to have an appointment because they were too busy for walk-ins and that it was 4 hours before the next opening. I decided while I was waiting to go to the Bridal Event. There was NO waiting to try on dresses. The girl who helped me, Khrystle, was absolutely AMAZING!!! And I was given a nice discount off my dress because it needed a little work. Thank you Bridal Event for making me feel like a princess and helping me find the dress of my dreams!!!!!!!
We had a great experience! Kendall was awesome! She helped my daughter find the perfect dress and helped us through an overwhelming process! It could not have been better!
Courtney was our tailor and she was great! She made me feel very comfortable and we were able to find our bridesmaids dresses and my wedding dress quickly. I would definitely recommend! Go see Courtney!
I would recommend using Formal Event for your wedding suit/tux needs. They were amazingly helpful. My fathers pants were way to long when we went to pick up the tuxes the day before my wedding. They had this corrected overnight.
We found both of my daughters wedding dresses at the Bridal Event (one in 2015 and one today). Both experiences were very positive. The consultants were very knowledgeable and led us to the perfect dresses.

Walked in and was greeted immediately, I asked if they had any fascinator hats, they didnt know what they were, which was no big deal. but when I started to describe what they were, She talked over me within the first few words I said, with a No. We dont have those. Rude #1.She asked me if I wanted to try on dresses, I said I didnt know yet, I would have to look at them. She said I would have to have a consultant with me if I wanted to look at dresses. So then I said, well, can I have a consultant ? Then she turned around and a few of them were on a debate about who was going to take care of me. I thought this behavior was borderline rude.. Apparently all the bridal gowns are upstairs and nobody is allowed up there without a consultant.My consultant introduced herself, and asked me the questions about when I am getting married. She seemed nice. We walked up the stairs, I mentioned I am looking for a high-low style dress. She told meThey would be mixed in with the rest. She showed me a dressing room, pointed to the different racks and told me what types of dresses were in each. I started going through the destination dresses. She stood behind me leaning against a wall with her arms crossed. I was thinking wow! You guys really want my business I see. I took about 5 minutes going though that first rack, its really hard to tell which dresses would be high-low. I mentioned that to her, she started looking at a couple that were right in front of her. I thought cool, shes going to actually help me here. But no, that one wasnt high-low. And she went back to hovering behind me, I asked her again, so you have no idea where any of the style dresses are I would like to try on? She said nope.. So at that point I just went to the dressing room and gathered my things. Before we hit the stairs there is a shelf there with accessories on it and some jewelry. And behold! A fascinator hat!I was going to ask the manager if she happened to know if some of the high-low dresses were, since my consultant had no idea where any of them were. I could hear her over the wall taking to another employee, in a tone, that I figured if I even decided to complain, it wouldnt even matter. She probably would argue with me about it. Not happy.. I will never go there again.

I FOUND MY DRESS!!! After many different stores and disappointments, I found my dress at The Bridal Event! Our only complaint is that when I called the store earlier in the day, they told me I didnt need to make an appointment, but when we got there in the evening they said they were booked and I would have to wait until a dressing room opened up. We ended up waiting for about an hour. The upstairs dressing rooms are HUGE and all the dresses are right outside, which is nice. Our consultant was very friendly and accommodating. She wasnt annoyed when I wanted to re-try on a few dresses or when it was coming close to closing time. Good experience!!
My experience with this store has been nothing short of abominable . Drove 2 hours to their store for my bridesmaid dress fitting...no measurements were taken... sales person had me try an alternate dress and guessed my size... and no shocker the dress is way too small....add to that the ever mount surprise fees despite paying in full at time of order... Customer service is horrible, zero sense of store reaponsibility... please dont give them your money ...
(Purchased: bridal gown, bridesmaid dresses, grooms tux, groomsmen tuxes, father tuxes, flower girl dress, ring bearer tux...)I would never recommend the Bridal Event to anyone that is looking for bridesmaid dresses or tuxes ! I was lucky to have an amazing first experience here and found the perfect wedding dress, but thats where the good part stops. Nearly every tux for our wedding party was incorrect - it was unbelievable. They even had to make a delivery to the church on the DAY OF my wedding! We were also given pricing initially for the tuxes that wasnt even close to the actual end amount.My bridesmaids were treated poorly with each visit and they were measured incorrectly - a few of them tried to make a size suggestion, only to be ignored. When their dresses arrived, many of the sizes/fits were ridiculous - clearly a problem with measurements. The staff consistently seemed far too busy to assist with any questions at all after that first initial visit. We always just seemed to be in their way.The staff didnt seem to be on the same page at any given time. One example: I picked up my wedding dress and then 2 weeks later I had two voicemails from the Bridal Event telling me to come in and pickup my wedding dress that just arrived today... I called and it took far longer than it should have for them to realize I had come in 2 weeks prior. This type of inconsistency seemed nearly constant.Lastly, over half of our wedding party complained of having an awful experience when they went to be fitted for tuxes or their bridesmaid dresses because of rudeness and timeliness.I found an absolutely gorgeous (and far from inexpensive) gown, but this place doesnt seem to care once theyve gotten your money. Its a shame because they really do have a wonderful selection of dresses.Dont put your wedding party (or yourself) through any additional stress by shopping at the Bridal Event.

Went there with my sister and her wedding party to look for her wedding dress. Walked in there, put our names on the list the lady told us we were next on the list and that it would be about 30 minutes. Over an hour and a half later, and many checks to see how much longer we were told that there were two other parties ahead of us. The staff was not kind or helpful at all and after we told her why we were leaving she just shrugged and said, okay, thats fine. They obviously did not want our business and did not care about anyones special day. Not a recommended store.
Wedding was on a Saturday I live out of town, so I returned my suit on Tuesday instead of Monday. Got charged a $50 late fee. I explained my situation to the employee and all she said to me is sorry Im just doing my job.

I had a poor experience with The Bridal Event. I live 3 hours from Appleton and chose the store because it carried the specific dress I was looking for for my bridesmaids. I called to check on prices between the three stores in Appleton that carried the dress, and the Bridal Event claimed to be the lowest. Once I made the 3 hour trip to get my girls fitted they told me I must have spoken to someone else but the dresses were 30 dollars more than they told me on the phone. Also, after waiting 5 months for them to come in all of my bridesmaids tried their dresses on. One of the five girls dresses was the complete wrong color, 3 of the five have smudges or stain marks on theirs, and 2 of the five also have had extremely poor alterations (the slip part underneath hangs lower than the dress itself.) Although the employees were nice and accommodating to most of the issues, I was disappointed with the dresses and the alterations for the price the girls paid.

From the start it was bad. They quoted me prices for mens tuxes without the jackets, and when the guys went to get fitted a few months later, they were then going to charge us almost double! And that price was what all other places charge for a full suit! After telling all the groomsmen that they would be called the week before to come in & try on to make sure everything fit, and also confirming with me on the phone that the guys would be called 4 days prior just in case any changes would be needed, they didnt call ANY groomsmen until after we called them with less than a day and half before our wedding. 4 out 7 groomsmen pants were so big they didnt stay up, at least 2 had top shirts & vests they were so uncomfortable, my brother-in-law has a prosthetic leg and the shoes he was fitted for were fine but the shoes he received didnt come close. They had to cut the heel off one shoe, which didnt help him at all. The grooms pants had 2 big stains and the white under shirt was grossly stained yellow & brown on the collars. And because they were called at 3pm the day and a half before our wedding, they werent able to get any different sizes besides IF they had something on site, which was luckily a bigger under shirt for one groomsmen and shoes that shouldve been 2 sizes bigger for our mini-best man. I am absolutely disgusted with The Formal/Bridal Event. DONT GO TO THEM, trust me! Save yourself the hassle. My husband has stood up in MANY weddings and we have never had issues!!!
Dont go here! Purchased a bridesmaid dress here for a July 2019 wedding, they finally arrived and the dress is too small. Relied on the associate to fit me accordingly because they didnt have the dress the bride wanted in my size to try on at the store. When I called to find out what my options were I was basically told, too bad, I picked the size I wanted and there was nothing they could do. I researched the designers size chart and told them they ordered the wrong size based on my measurement. They said I was considered an in-between size, so they order down instead of up, which was an inch + difference in the waist!!!!!! Oh, and on my receipt they even wrote customer picked size, knows dress can be altered. Um, CYA, the dress cant be altered - theres no extra MATERIAL!!!They were rude and defensive, especially CRYSTAL!!!! She is not a nice person and screamed and yelled on the phone to me, threatened to hang up on me......OMG she was awful. I couldnt get a word in edge wise. I have never been talked to they way CRYSTAL spoke to me.I first had talked to Micayla - who was very nice and had offered to find out what my options were - until CRYSTAL called back - thats when it went bad - DONT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR $$$$$ - I have stood up in many weddings and have NEVER had a dress not fit me nor have a place of business treat me so terrible!!!! Buyer BEWARE!!!!The owner should be embarrassed he has employees working for him who treat paying customers this way!
What a disaster!!! The entire wedding party picked up our tuxs the day before the wedding, nothing fit and some pieces were missing. They remeasured everything and asked all of us to drive from Suamico to Appleton in the morning of a noon wedding. We finally convince the staff that they needed to deliver everything. Guess what, still not right. They tried two more times and finally got all the pieces close. They said they fired the person who did the measuring. When I returned the tux I asked if they had new processes in place to make sure no one else had to go through this hell. The answer was no!!! Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, you will be glad you did. In retrospect, I wish the bride had picked Tina Maries in Algoma, the dresses from there were perfect!!!
I bought a dress online and it was way too big the seamstress put me at ease knowing that it wasnt going to cost me a small fortune to have it fit me for my sons wedding it was a great relief definitely would recommend the bridal event for all your wedding needs
