Was visiting the Appleton area, and staying by my daughters apt. One decided to go to the mall and asked me to go along, so I went. I have been to this mall many times, as we have lived near Appleton most our lives, so was happy and go there again. JcPenney was always a good store to shop at and did not disappoint this time. Got a few things and they were on sale. Got there on the right day, cant pass on a great sale.

No fitting rooms were open. Was told an item would be marked down at the register but it wasnt. Nice items, but guessing game if things fit or what the price will be. Staff is polite and friendly but not enough of them right now.

Deb was amazing, she was honest with her comments. She was helping me and another lady in the fitting rooms to find the perfect outfit for our different events. Deb also gave future tips on how we could build off of what we already bought. Her customer service was phenomenal. I wish more people were like her.

I found some nice things on the clearance rack today but they wont let you try anything on because they closed their fitting rooms. So I had to overbuy and drive back later return things. ☹

I wanted to buy myself a bracelet. After finding the one I wanted, I asked the clerk to take it out of the glass display. I said I want to see the bracelet behind the sign $99.99. She removed the bracelet and the $99.99 sign. She began to ring it up and when she was almost finished she said this is not the right price. She said it was $50 more than the sign indicated!I feel it is unfair to jack up the price of something if it is indicated to be that price. It is also false advertising. Also, the clerk outright lied to the manager about where the $99.99 sigh was placed. Of course he backed her up. I think both employees need to go back to how to treat a customer class.

Where do I start? Lame petites department with styles for much older ladies ie Alfred Dunner. No offense but yuck. The rummage sale area is a congested mess. No order to this store.

Should have better signs letting people know your dressings rooms are all closed.

Went appliance shopping and the sale had some great pricing. But even with that there were too many options we didnt want or need. But more importantly the salesman was awful. Did nothing to try and help sell us or help us really. They did wipe off the finger prints for us and then walked away. We went elsewhere and paid a little more but I still feel like we got a better deal and had a better experience.

I have always liked JCPENNEY, they have good quality products and the service here is excellent, staff are friendly and like to help. Items and store are well displayed, organized and clean. Pleasant shopping experience.

I went there to buy some pants for work, found a great sale, unfortunately the young girl on the register was having an issue and paged three times for assistance......still no help. So, I walked over to the jewelry counter where there were two women working, I first said excuse me, the young lady by the mall entrance register is seeking help and has several customers lined up, and I got a VERY snooty reply from the woman. Needless to say, I told the snooty woman I will buy my clothes elsewhere and I left them there. I was very disappointed in the way this woman acted, and they wonder why sales are down and stores are closing. I have been a faithful JCP customer for my work clothes for years, I love the brands for mens dress clothes, but I will not return to that store again.

First to enter store big sighn telling you that the doors are locked go around. I waited in line 10 minutes, to check out. Sad to see so much product, and so empty store.

I have long enjoyed shopping at JCPenney. To this day, I buy most of my clothes at a JCP store to ensure high quality at a reasonable price. I work at Target and I find a lot of my solid red shirts (polos, sweatshirts, t-shirts--you name it!) at a JCPenney store. My own Target store doesnt have as large of a selection of solid/patterned red shirts. Anyway, I digress... The customer service at this store is so-so. Depending on the visit, I have great service. Other times, I dont receive bad service, but its not amazing. The store in Appleton is laid out nicely with sales throughout. It reminds me of the Green Bay store. Ill be back at this store soon!

Bought two suits at this store on Thursday. Put one of them on for work Monday morning and about an hour later I realized the coat and pants were slightly different colors and weave patterns. Took the jacket back that evening (tonight). Was told by the same clerk I bought the coat from that I couldnt exchange it for the coat that matched because the tags were already off. Wasnt asking for a return or refund. Just an exchange for a coat on the rack. No difference in price. I literally wore the coat for less than an hour. The strings were still on from one of the tags. I wear suits to work most days and but several suits a year and mainly buy off the rack. No one cared and now Ive got a mismatched suit Im not happy with. Guess where Im not going when I need suits again in six months?

The deals are fantastic and the girl at the register gave me 25% coupon unrequited. Well done.

I went to JCPenney on February 27, 2019 to purchase a watch. I ended up buying two watches. I was assisted by Jessica in the jewelry section. She was very professional and friendly. She was most helpful in assisting me in adjusting the watch band for a perfect fit. Her costumer service/people skills were such that I felt compelled to write a review stating how positive my experience at JCPenney was because of her. We need more people like her in the retail business. She obviously loves her job and it shows in the positive vibe energy that she exhibited.

Customer service and return policies are extremely poor. I cant think of one reason to shop JCP ever again!

You would think that when you go to a retail store that there would be people at the registers to ring you up. Well I walked around with my child mind you, to five different registers and i found not a single employee. I just wanted to buy some clothes for my 3 year old and simply couldnt. I was on the verge of giving up and was about to just leave and take my dollars elsewhere. Then i spot an employee at the register by the mall entrance. I walk up with my articles and place them on the counter and realize the cashier is on the phone. She puts the customer on hold. I assumed that was so she could handle my transaction. NOPE. Just puts the phone down and walks away. Not a word. Needless to say it looks like this store is suffering and I can see why. Why would anyone spend money at a place that treats their patrons this way. Its ridiculous

This review only applies to the menswear portion of the store, as I can not comment on the other departments.The selection in the store was adequate, but there were also a good number of limits when it came to the formalwear section. There are a ton of sizes, but trim of each shirt/pant greatly reduces the options. For example, there were dozens of dress shirts in a 17, 34-35. However, if you need a fitted shirt, that brought the options down to only about 10. Sometimes the deals and sales make it worth a stop though.The silver lining here is a man named Wayne. If you can find him in the department, as him for help. He can take your measurements, find your options, and suggest different styles without effort! He is the reason for the four-star rating over a three.

Since the local Pennys stores have closed in the towns closer to where I live this is the only store I can visit. I used to shop at Penneys stores in Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids and Wausau. Sadly all those stores are now closed. I was able to purchase a few items here last week that I could no longer buy locally. I will return to this store again when I return to the Fox River Mall.

My Mom has shopped here for years, not many around anymore. She did get items she needed, others were out of the budget. Enjoyed looking.

Brenda was absolutely awesome! She checked in the store and on line to find items I was looking for in the sizes and colors I wanted. She made me feel more like a friend than just another shopper. Because of her friendliness, I will be back!

Due to a stocking issue that came to light after we made an online purchase, I spent another hour on the phone with customer service over a washcloth on discount to 29 cents. This seems to make very little business sense for Penneys, but of the options I could see and put forth, that is the one customer service chose.

I go here to get my hair cut. Good selection of merchandise if youre shopping. Pretty decent prices. I know they used to have a good big/tall clothing section. Not sure if that is still there. They carried a lot of suites in large sizes. They have a surprisingly large selection of appliances.

My wife has always liked Penney stores very few left. Very good Christmas gift value with coupons.

All the shirts we wanted to purchase were sold out. There was an alternative shirt we wouldve bought, which was on sale for buy one, get one half off, but with only one left so we couldnt get the deal. Hopefully theyll be back in stock before the sale ends.

Staff at register asked my 3 questions in one breath and when I answered them she had no response. I didnt find what I was looking for and she didnt care. Didnt even look me in the eye. There are good sales going on here most of the time and at their salon for the hair care items.

I ordered an item online and picked it up in the store. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The process took less than 5 minutes. I would definitely buy from here again. Qthe store was clean and very presentable.

Was looking for shoes for a wedding. Found sandals that were $50 but on sale for $20. Really good deal.

Bought a ring a year or so ago for my wife, with a full repair/replacement plan. Ring was damaged--crushed- and they said it wasnt able to be repaired, and they said they wouldnt refund it. Took the ring to a jeweler, who stated it was an easy repair. After two and a half months or getting the run-around through email and calls, we had to, for the fourth time at this point, stop back in and demand our money be returned. After having to put our foot down, they finally accepted to return the money, in the form of a gift card. Do yourself a favor and dont buy jewelry from this place, go to a proper jeweler.

Very dissapointedI have been going here for years and have never had an employee treat me this bad. I had an appt at 7 and after 30 minutes of waiting i asked the stylist how much longer do i need to wait and she told me that she did not make my appointment and she did not realize it was there. But she had told me to go take a walk and come back later. Talk about a very rude young woman
