Just No new phones Most not compatible with CDMA. Dish preparing for no support from TMobile. Where does that leave customers!

My experiences, prior to this one, have usually been pleasant and expedient. However, due to personal reasons, I decided to switch services. I wanted to keep my phone (that I paid for outright) from Boost, but apparently Boost will not unlock your phone unless you have had service with them for more than 12 months. I consider this to be theft. I have fully paid for this phone and should be able to do what I want with my property. This issue has caused many problems for me, as I am not eligible for any new activation discounts with my new service... so now I must pay full price for a new phone that I never wanted... because Boost refused to allow MY phone to be accessed from a different service provider. So, anyone looking to switch to Boost needs to be aware that, even if you pay cash for your phone, its technically not yours until after a year.
