Last weekend we hosted 2 showers at the WynBurg Cafe and couldnt be happier with how they turned out! Steve Hamburg worked with us to ensure our guests were comfortable and felt safe with all that is happening with the COVID-19 pandemic. We were able to have one of the parties after the restaurant closed. We really spread out - tables were at least 6 apart and we seated only 4 people per rectangular table. We chose 6 dishes from their menu to simplify ordering and reduce time to be served. Im sure everyone had their food within 10 minutes, even with one of our parties being a group of 38. Our choices included the Chopped Cobb Salad, Potato Blanket Omelet with either veggies or pork, French Toast, Strawberry Nutella Belgian Waffle, Churro French toast and my favorite, the Very Berry Salad! We were able to customize a couple of the dishes as well. Steve was extremely helpful, flexible and patient with us as we planned weeks before and then during the setup and the parties!! We were able to bring our own sweets for the sweet table and even temporarily store some things in their refrigerator. Its hard to find places that will work with you on your ideas for your party! I would definitely recommend having your party at WynBurg Cafe!! Thanks again to you, Steve, and your friendly and helpful staff!
Another great breakfast at Wynburg Cafe. Excellent food and the staff members were all very pleasant and attentive. Generous portions of great food and really reasonable prices. Cant recommend it enough. Keep up the great work.
I had high hopes after looking at the menu, looked very nice. And the server was great but I had a problem with the host when we walked in and left. I felt like a nuisance, like I was bothering the host when I walked in with my party. I understand that there are no regulations about social distancing, but I feel like its a courtesy to try to separate people even when there is one server and limited capacity. Either with a table space in between or removing some tables. We were placed at a table very close to others (1-3 feet) on both sides, when other tables were available that were more distant from others. I mentioned this to the host when I left and was given lots of excuses about the timing of when I walked in and regulations. I felt dismissed and unheard. Also, the food was just fine. The eggs were cold by the time they got to the table on the avocado toast. I understand they are short staffed as mentioned on a sign on the front, but I had no problem with the service. I just would have liked to have been heard. I dont think Ill be going back and I wouldnt recommend to friends.
We have been extremely pleased with WynBurg Cafe. Our in dining experiences have always been top notch, carry out orders are hot and plentiful and Ive even ordered their pancake kits for clients who love the creative experiences of decorating and eating delicious pancakes. Thanks WynBurg for being creative, fun & delicious during a challenging time.

The service, staff, and food are wonderful! I have the great opportunity to come her every week with my networking groups and the staff is so accommodating to us especially at this time. I always order their avocado toast because its perfect every time. Its fresh, delicious, and I always can leave with a doggy bag too!
I’ve been here a few times over the course of a few months, and I’m always surprised by just how good the food is. There are so many unique options and twists to breakfast-lovers’ favorites. The service is always warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!
UM YES. 10/10. This place >>>. First of all, the owners HIIIII. Nicest people ever (not to mention a very cute son;)). The food came out so fast and so yummy. The waitress was so kind and helpful. Got us waters fast and took our orders fast. Yet the space was so relaxed and made me feel nice. I love it here and will 100% be coming back. This is my new favorite spot. ❤️
My mother and I just had a very pleasant experience having breakfast here. We felt very safe (social distancing, temperature check at the door) and comfortable. There were many options and the food came out hot and quick. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant has very safe COVID protocols including mandatory mask wearing, and temperature checks before you come in the door. If you are picking up food, there is someone always waiting at the door that will run in and grab it for you.As far as the food, I always have a dilemma at here – do I go with my favorite dishes that I know I will be 100% happy with, or do I venture out and try something new? Now that I’m working from home full time, looks like I’ll have the opportunity to do both! My favorites standbys here have been the potato blanket omelet and the California eggs benedict. Both are delicious and each big enough for two meals. Hashbrowns are nice, crisp, and well done exactly how I like them. This past time I tried the churro French toast and the Chopped Cobb salad. I really enjoyed both. I knew the French toast would border on a dessert item, but I ate it all anyway. I was very impressed with the Chopped Cobb Salad. The chicken was lean and grilled nicely. There were generous chunks of bacon and no greasiness whatsoever. I will definitely order that again. One thing I like about Wynburg Café outside of their food is their commitment to other small business and the community. They support and promote other small businesses and vice versa.

Went here on Sunday for breakfast and had a great experience. They did a great job with COVID-19 precautions which was important for us with a toddler and my wife being pregnant. Anyone that wanted to go inside for dining or anything had to get a temperature check before entering 👍.We sat outside since the weather was great. We had the steak skillet and a 2 egg special with bacon and pancakes.Overall great service and food! If there was one downside it would be the coffee, wasn’t the best but not the worst either. We would absolutely recommend and will definitely come back!

Average food, small portions. Waitress had an attitude, then realized that she did, tried to backpedal and started talking about how the food prep isnt the best in the restaurant and how things could be cleaner. Most confusing conversation to date.Definitely wont be coming back.

My wife and I had lunch today at Wynburg Cafe and the food was great, but what was most important to us was that the seating was well spaced and the restaurant was remarkably clean, we felt very safe for indoor dining considering this is one of the only indoor dining experiences we have had in a while.

The potato wrapped omelettes here are delicious. I had the Denver, extra crispy on the potatoes, and upgraded my pancakes to cinnamon roll specialty. Everything was delicious. I saw the name change and figures it was under new ownership but was pleasantly surprised to see Steve and Irene there. Great service, delicious food, and all at a reasonable price. Ill be back again because this is my new breakfast spot.

Great breakfast and Lunch. We go to this restaurant at least once a week mostly for breakfast but occasionally lunch. Staff if friendly, food is great! In addition they are taking all the precautions to make you feel comfortable weather inside our out. They even took our temp when we walked in!
Very expensive and they asked us to leave because they needed the booth. Never will go there again.
Great. Breakfast place! Nice and attentive staff, personable. Angela C earned a great tip! Service was efficient, attention to detail. I had the basic bacon and eggs - perfect overeasy eggs, thick crispy bacon, and tbe hash browns had that nice brown crisp in top. The order also came with very good buttermilk pancakes served with lots of butter and maple syrup. They were not too heavy, but good size.Back again after almost two months (unexpected travel from Texas home). Ordered similar with the exception of getting blueberry pancakes. Prompt service, hot food and a lot of plump blueberries. Ill be back when I can visit the area again!
One of our favorite breakfast places. Great pancakes. Had their banana covered cinnamon curros with Carmel sauce and their berry crepes. They have a limited menu right now for breakfast which is a bummer because they offer so much more.

Wonderful breakfast, my son enjoyed the Gentlemans Spud... a delicious meal of strip steak, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, eggs and cheese encased in hash browns. Also had a size of pancakes and a side of corn beef hash. He ate every bite. I had the brioche French toast...delicious. We will be back! Great service too.
I bring all of my friends to this wonderful restaurant. Ive been here many times and Ive NEVER left either hungry or disappointed. I practice what Im preaching and recommend WynBurg Cafe to everyone who enjoys going out for breakfast or lunch or brunch!! Staff is very friendly and will do their best to accommodate food allergies and restrictions. Gluten free pancakes are amazing!! Steve, the owner is genuinely interested in getting to know his customers and greets people with a smile.

Been here many times, and I never leave disappointed. Food is great, service is great, and the place is large enough where youll never have to wait for a table. Pop in for lunch or bring you family for dinner - either way youll be happy to you did.
I absolutely love this restaurant!! The food is delicious and consistent. And love the service there. They are all so nice and helpful.... But not over the top. The perfect amount of attention. The specials are changing which makes it fun to try new dishes. I have even had a private party here and the staff and food were wonderful.
A reservation for Sunday breakfast is a good idea. Even for 3 people. Vegy Skillet and French toast was delicious. Love the carafe of coffee on the table.
I went here for the first time with my boyfriend today. Samantha was super sweet and took good care of us. I was really hungover but the chili and the meatlovers Spud soon took care of that! The prices are reasonable and the service and atmosphere was perfect. Great little breakfast place. We’ll be back!
I have eaten here twice and both have been nothing but an amazing experience. The steak is great but the English muffins are even better! Gourmet! Love this place and I cant wait to try the other dishes, new owner is very polite and professional. A++

I rarely post reviews, but my wife and I visited WynBurg Cafe and I have to say the pancakes are very unique. We couldnt decide what to order off the menu as there were items we had never heard of before. I do not like to go out to eat. I prefer a home cooked meal, but this place gives you that home cooked experience without having to do the dishes. The owner stopped by and asked if we were satisfied as he is trying his best to give the community a different experience to eating breakfast. I told him I was so satisfied I would give him a 5-star review. Thanks again Mr. Hamburg.

I frequent WynBurg Cafe weekly and I find the food and service to be outstanding. When I come for a large gatherings, the staff never disappoints. I find it a great option for company breakfast meetings and client luncheons.
I did carryout today for myself and my friend and the food was just as great as in the restaurant. It was fully customizable online and they followed each request I had as well. I ordered some eggs poached easy as was worried they would get over cooked as they sat in the hot container, but they were prefect!! Loved the food as did my friend! Carryout was so easy and Ill be back for more.
I was really impressed with their Covid response! Tons of outdoor seating under the roof of the plaza, they take your temperature before you can go inside to use the restroom, and the staff have good quality gloves/ppe.The food was fine. We both got benedicts and the English muffins were chewy. The corned beef hash was decent.
Delicious breakfasts, unique menu items, too! Especially enjoy the Popeye scrambler! We even catered a work event for breakfast a couple of times and everyone enjoyed the food! We will definitely cater again and continue to be frequent guests here!
My friend & I decided to have our brunch at WynBurg Cafe in Arlington Heights & let me tell you there food was A*M*A*Z*I*N*G!!!!! I ordered the steak skillet & they cooked it exactly how I like & tasted so good! Prices are reasonable, we spoke with owner he was so nice & friendly as well as the rest of the staff including our waiter. Honestly this place is a must go to, my friend & I have decided going forward all of our brunches will be here!!!You want great food, with great service & friendly faces, go to Wynburg Cafe in Arlington Heights you wont be disappointed!!!
Have been for breakfast 3 times & each time the food, service & quality has been great. The owner Steve is a really nice guy as well. Would make a great place for a breakfast or lunch meeting as they have a nice separate space for this. Keep up the great work, happy to see this business in N. Arlington Heights.

I met a coworker for breakfast at Wynburg Cafe this week to talk about office matters live and in person. What a great experience! First and foremost, the food and coffee were tasty, well-priced, and delivered fast and hot with a smile. It was my co-workers first time to a restaurant since Covid hit and I am so pleased to say how safe we both felt at WynBurg Cafe! The waitstaff was masked and careful around us, the tables were comfortable and well-spaced, and when each of us took a turn at the ladiess room, a friend gal took our temperature on the way in. This was clearly marked and not at all weird. In fact, I found it really comforting to know that everyone entering had the same temp taken! Way to make dining out feel safe WynBurg Cafe!

Okay I have to say this was a treat. They had one of my favorites, avacado toast with well done hash browns. Outdoor seating was great. Service was prompt and very nice. Order my fav and it was excellent. I know its a simple dish but the poached eggs were PERFECT and the avacado had just enough seasoning to accent not hide the flavor. Really enjoyed this and I will be back! Oh and the hash browns were just as I asked for and not greasy. Thanks again WynBurg!
I always enjoy coming here. Breakfast and lunch are so delicious, but the service is what makes it extra special. We have great meals and service here every single time.

I loved Gails and panicked when I saw the name change. However, I decided to give them a try and it is still the same great food and service. Glad I didnt let the name change keep me away. This is definitely my favorite breakfast place.
Hands down BEST pancakes ever!! In this picture, I got a huge one, but they normally come in stacks of 3 or 4, just in case that big one is intimidating! They have different mix ins for the house-made pancakes and help tailor it to your tastes. My brother LOVES the chorizo spud and gets it every time. I would say their pancakes are better than Walker Bros. Also, the service is always extremely kind and will accommodate any needs. I stop in every time I am in town. Excited for whats to come with the new name and new ownership!
I almost feel badly writing a somewhat bad review because I thought the food was pretty good, but the service... I think they’re hiring people that are in high school/no server experience. They were very nice so it was hard to even get mad- but a couple things were forgotten, things were dropped on the floor, they couldn’t answer basic questions about the menu. Since they were so nice, and the food was good I’d still go back, but I think they need some additional training.

Update: WynBurg is a fabulous breakfast spot, but lunch ranks right up there. This was my first time ordering from the lunch menu and WOW!! The nacho burger was delicious-muy bueno! Your lunch entree includes a delicious cup of soup, coleslaw, and fries or house-made chips. You better be hungry!! Am I a fan? YOU BET!! Again, the service is top notch!!Oh my (5) stars!! This is by far the best breakfast spot around! The specials are always unique and appealing. Your biggest issue with WynBurg is deciding which dish to enjoy!! This is my go-to and I have always been delighted. Did I mention the exceptional service?? Can’t wait for my next visit!!
First time there since the name/ownership change and it was really good. I may have to put it back in the rotation. A little pricey for the quantity of food, but we didnt leave hungry by any means, and the service was great. Definitely worth a try.
The service was great. The food was fairly good but the omelette I ordered was not a omelette at all. It was more of a folded scramble.
Food was good. Mine came out not very hot but, great options. One piece of advice, get some non dairy milk options.
Not impressed. Hot tea came with very lukewarm water and special sausage scramble lacking in taste and very little sausage! Very pleasant & helpful waitress. Will not go again as far better options in Arlington Heights.
My daughter had the chicken artichoke panini, and I had the chilaquiles ....both were superb. Plus, the staff was great. Would definitely encourage anyone to try it out.
