I walked into this beauty supply store and I was amazed at how big the place is!! They have everything from hair, and makeup, to clothes!! I was really shocked and excited as well as surprised all in one!!!The store security guard even offered his assistance when I couldnt find a particular product. The staff is really great and helpful to their customers 😀 👏 I truly appreciate it. Some beauty supply stores start watching you as soon as you walk in!!I came in to purchase some braiding hair, but ended up getting a few more things then I anticipated.The Eco Styling Gel was only $2.49 so I jumped on that even tho I had just purchased a jar last week! It was just to cheap I couldnt pass that by, and besides that I live in White Settlement which is 30 minutes away so why not get it while you can!!😃 I always purchased a body wave ponytail which was $9.99, and the braiding hair for $4.99. My total cost was just over $17.00 and I can do plenty of styles with my purchase today. I would definitely recommend come to this beauty supply store 😍

I love this place! Its clean, organized and well stocked. I always buy my hair care and costume jewelry here. Ive also bought scarves for gifts - all nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check it out!

Been coming here since I moved to Arlington, about 5 years ago. I like going there. Decent prices and they often have good sales going on.

Prices are higher than other stores, small selection, cashier is rude as hell and barely speaks. Security guard is nice though. I will Take my coins elsewhere and NEVER visit this location EVER again 🤷🏽‍♀️

It shows in Google that this location is open on Sunday.. its not... this is the reason why I drive to Dallas to Jenny..

Small selection and they will not help you. Crazy thing is.. the police at the door was very friendly... other staff not so much. Ill take my money around the corner

Like shopping here but yesterday there was a different security guard than the regular we are used to. He was old and obnoxious. He stared at our butts until we were out of site going through the store and as we were leaving he stared and then made lewd comments to us on our way out the door. If we go back and he is there we will be sure to leave.

I normally like American beauty. I went out of the store yesterday and realized I purchased the wrong hair. When I went back in and got the correct hair, I then saw the sign that stated no refund, no exchange, no return. I explained the issue to the lady and she refused..so I am stuck with 89$ hair, when the hair that I needed was 12$

The location on Collins is priced higher and the lady that charged me out stated the price was higher because the satin scarves I purchased were silk. I have been purchasing the exact same scarves from the Matlock location for years but they didnt have the colors I needed. I will not recommend the Collins location since its higher, and clerk is RUDE and apparently think most people will not know the difference between silk and polyester.

The reason that I only give this beauty supply two stars is because of how they refused to give lisenced stylists a proper discount so that we can be successful our own retail. They refuse to do business with us but they want us and our clients to shop there.

Been going here for about a year, buying all kinds of products. Spent 45 mins in the store with the “extensions expert” trying to find the best product for me. Two weeks go by and my hair starts to tangle and look horrible. I return to the store To ask what to do, I’m told I need to purchase hair products to fix the problem. Another week goes by and still my hair is getting worse. So I go back to the store and now am told by someone else that I bought the wrong thing last time- and purchase even more products to help fix the expensive extensions. Now I’ve spent $45 trying to fix the hair. I go back in today asking for help, Spoke with yet another person in the store and she told me all of the products were the wrong thing and there is no way to fix this hair that she wishes she could have helped me the last two times I came in however she wasn’t at work so she shows me a hair that I Should have bought in the first place and tells me do not use any of those products on this hair throw those away. So I go to ask the managers for a discount on the new hair I’m having to purchase. After 48 minutes of discussing the problem and telling my story to three different people two of the people just leave the store. After they had asked me to go gather all the products that I had purchased so they can see what I put on my hair. When I finally got back up to the cash register they were gone! So I asked the two people left in the store what the names were of the people who were helping me… They didn’t know their names! Are you freaking kidding me?!? I will NEVER ever buy from this store again!!!! And I will tell all my friends about this experience so they don’t either!

Not ONE person said, hello, & when I checked out, she rang up my items, then slid my bag of items to me and walked away. I said, nobody said anything to me, even at check out. Another customer said, they NEVER speak to customers. Its not a racial issue, I am brown, the other customer is white.... its just bad customer service.

Young lady working with the wigs..she was so nice and very helpful. They need more workers like her...As far as the other workers that ring you up...they need to be a little more friendly.

This is why as BLACK women we need to have our OWN stores! We keep supporting these ppl who care nothing about us and only about the dollar! I came into this store as I have done in the past to get a pack of crochet hair. They only had a very few number of pack but one pack I needed was outside of the pack(for any kind of synthetic hair it gets old very fast) so I asked ifThey have any more packs she told me no. I needed this pack so I asked her what can she do being that this was the last pack(as she put it) she told me nothing! So I asked for the supervisor she said theyre not there. I asked her to call the manager she said she didnt have their number. I told her I didnt want the pack. So I show her I pull up google to make a review now she wants to give me a free chap stick. Thats not what I asked nor what I wanted!! So as a business owner I know the importance of keeping customers. This is why Im writing this review because it dwells on me how much they take from us but fight tooth and nail to give back or make right! Please beware when shopping here

They normally have the things I need in stock. They don’t like returns and if you have one they give you a hard time.Hard for them to understand English when you have a return.

Another beauty supply store runned by Asians who want your money but treat you like a criminal. I am tired of these types of establishments who think all of us are criminals. I refuse to continue to spend my hard earned money somewhere I am constantly followed around and watched like am going to steal something. Enough is a enough. My money is good enough but not me. You take my money but treat me like trash, well not anymore. People we have to want and expect more from places who want our dollar. Dont continue to let them treat us this way when we deserve better. Just because they carry what we need dont mean they can treat us this way. There are other places that carry these products if you didnt know.

Nice huge store but the people are so rude, I slowshop and after me being there for like 30 minutes they will follow you around they the lady came and shes right here Ill take your card and just took my card I wasnt even done shopping for my makeup, I still ended up spending $100 there and they were still do rude!!! BUT THEY HAVE GREAT PRICES!!

They continue to pack this place with merchandise which makes for a maze while visiting great selections but not worth the lack of customer service and the policing they do while following people. Also be looking your best for all the surveillance which makes me think i could be a victim of a crime at any moment.

Good selection of merchandise, esp. hair. My only complaint is that they need to hire more help. Theres always a line of people and often nobody their to help you with selecting hair from behind the counters. Several times Ive had to wait until she/he rang up everyone in the line before he/she could assist me with selecting hair from behind the counter...

This is the most horrible beauty supply store ever, I just was in verbal altercation with a cashier, she continued to raise the price after I showed her more than once what the price said, I also asked another cashier about the hair and she gave me the exact price I thought it was. The Asian cashier continued to call me stupid, and I said I was giving her a headache, as much as I go to American beauty I have never ran into these problems. It was beyond disrespectful, and I will NEVER shop here again and another thing when did RED become a mixed color, could of sworn it was a primary color

If you buy the display items you get 10 % off that individual item, but you must tell the cashier that it was the display item. Even if the display item is on sale you still get the 10% discount. Thats a really good deal.

They have a great selection of hair stuff here. I just wish the customer service was a little better though. The lady continued sweeping the floor behind the register for a while after I told her I was ready to be rung up.

Bad customer service. Today my daughter and I went to make hair selections. I experienced a horrible customer service experience upon check out. They do not value their relationship with the customers. They made me feel like I was a criminal in their store, even though I paid for my purchases. I will not return again.

Prices on products are mislabeled, so they say, but how is that the Customer’s fault? An older male cashier was nice enough today to change the price of braiding hair from $5.99 to $4.99 (as labeled on the packet).I’m glad this isn’t my regular store to shop, I only came here because my Aunt lives nearby and she is braiding my hair.Other than that, they have a huge variety of hair brands, product brands, makeup products, etc.Customer service is lacking though.10/25/2018

I purchased my first with today at this beauty supply and the lady that helped me in the wig section was so nice and patient and I tried on several wigs before I was comfortable with the one I purchased, and since it was the last one I was given a discount for my purchase. This place is disgusting. Last time I went, they had hair bags ALL OVER THE FLOOR! Products had dust on them, and the products with clear packaging you can see the discolor of the products on the inside bc it had a long shelf life, and these Asians are cheap! Why not order new products to replace the old and molding ones? GROSS! Asian girl was rude. What I don’t get is, #1 there’s a beauty supply place down the street from y’all where I can go to, but yet you have an attitude. I’ve actually never purchased anything from there bc they never have what I want or need, and the store is always filthy and it turns me off. #2 y’all can get shut down real quick. I’m honestly sick of seeing non black people owning hair stores. It’s time to start these businesses up ourselves and put the Asians out! Support black business! I mean, at least we know what our products do. How do you own a black hair store and aren’t familiar with the majority of the products? You’re clearly in it for the money, and it’s time for y’all to kick rocks! I’m sure Asian food is more of yalls speed.

If all beauty supplies carried the exact same things, I swear I would never enter this one. The cashiers are SOOOO RUDE! Omg! The woman gave me an attitude and yelled at me for removing my card from the magnetic strip card reader when it said remove card but the card needed a bit more time in. The worse part about this is how she went on to continue her rant in her language. Another time, I asked her about a specific brand they had put products on sale for 50% off and she said we dont have that, you can buy those over there for 50 cents Since when does 50%off equals 50 cents? I was so confused. Again, she went on to speak in her language. I mean, really??? It goes on and on and on... I can name countless times they have found a way to be rude one way or another to me or other black women who go there or over the phone that I have personally witnessed for the past few years.

If I could give a review of less than 1 star i would. I bought 6 packs of hair and paid 8.99. It came out to be 58.96. I gave the lady $60 cash and she was having trouble putting the receipt paper in. I did not receive a receipt at this time. Came in today to return the 1 bag of hair. The same (Chinese) lady that chkd me out named Sandy stated that she can not take it back because i do not have a receipt. Let her know that she was having trouble with receipt paper yesterday and didnt give me one. She argued me down in front of a store full of people saying that I didnt. Embarrassing. I asked for a manager or owner. She stated that they were on vacation. This is one pack of hair, you would think she would just give the money back. She called another 2 employees up and the employees Tynesha and Grace were nice enough to assist the best that she could, which resulted in chking the receipt copy machine in the system and giving me a refund. I will never come here again or if i do it will be to catch Sandy outside to give her a piece of my mind. Ignoranance and being rude to the customer is not to be tolerated in a customer service atmosphere. She needs to be retrained or fired.
