Today we stopped by our local restaurant for a quick breakfast and Im glad I did. The wait was about 10 min. We were seated at the table my husband wanted, and we glad we sat their because our waiters were very attentive. I want to thank Ms. AMY all the great work she is doing. We had some great dishes and I just wanted to share them below.I want to thank the young lady Cassandra for stepping in to assist our waiter Adrian getting our food out...great team workIf you havent checked out the establishment, and want to eat something fulfilling, with a great atmosphere...you should definitely stop here to eat!
The food and service was excellent! However, the store was a bit of disappointment. Still a week before Halloween and whats left of the Halloween decorations are on a small discount table. Fall/Thanksgiving decorations were limited to one table. But Christmas decorations were everywhere. Why cant we at least maintain a better selection of fall/Thanksgiving decorations available at least until after Halloween? In our house, we dont even start decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving.
Got here at 5:05 pm food made it a bit after 6:15. 30 min wait for a 2 top, 27 minute wait for drinks and who knows when you will be fed. This place is a hard pass though the people sat in front of us had drinks in 3 minutes or less. Maybe service is provided on a feel like it basis, should have went to Burleson.
This place never cease to amaze, no matter what city or state. I had blackened fish and it was delicious. The green beans and fried okra were cooked to perfection. The only thing is I felt I didnt get a good portion size at this particular cracker barrel. The buttermilk biscuit melted in my mouth. They were short on staff, I could tell. There one young man serving a whole room.
Ill still give them a B, I ordered one thing, and they brought back some different. Couldve been that the waiter was new. The food was still 🔥 delicious!
You cant ever go wrong with cracker barrel. Its like old faithful of restaurants
We had a short wait to get a table. Everyone was very kind and courteous! The food was delicious!
My wife and I ordered the steak and eggs, subbed for the pecan pancakes, and an order of the biscuit beignets. Here are my ratingsTaste 4 Overall good taste but some items were overly saltyQuality 4 I felt there ingredients used were good but not the bestPrice 5 Hard to beat the prices considering the portions, quality and tasteService 5 Service was awesome, or waitress (Vanessa I believe) was perfect, drinks were never empty and she gave us the perfect amount of time to decide what we wanted and checked on us not too frequently but didnt neglect us eitherAtmosphere 5 Hard not to love this place, everyone is welcoming and kind and so doesnt love the gift shopMy overall recommendation come to Cracker Barrel for a great breakfast and ask them to go easy on the salt for savory items. Had I known this beforehand they wouldve scored a 5 as all my sweets were definitely a 5.
Delicious of course, and food service was exceptionally fast! Friendly workers make for a great morning experience.
I only came here today to use a gift card that my dad gave me. We had the nicest server ever. Too bad I didn’t get his name, but he deserved well over a 25% tip so that’s what I gave him. He asked how we were doing and I told him I was feeling “eh”. On our to-go cups, he wrote “it gets better” and it put the biggest smile on our faces and the warmest feelings in our hearts. Made my day so much better. Food was great. New watermelon lemonade was great. Glad I chose to use my gift card. Will be coming back soon.
They now have beyond meat sausage patties which is perfect for someone like me who only eat plant based meat.
We havent been here in quite some time and it was packed. We were created right away and sat right away. Adam was our waiter and was phenomenal. We were very impressed with Joe the manager as he walked around to see if everybody was okay. The food was great as well. They need more waiters like Adam
The lady that helped us was older and full of spunk. She was energetic and wore a smile the whole time. We waited but not too long. The food was hot and fresh. Our waiter was nice and we left her a good tip. Good service and Good food at a great prices.
Really enjoyed my lunch. And hooray 🥳 they finally added some light brunch/ dinner drinks ( mimosas...beer) i had the turkey & dressing dinner portion. My hubby had chicken fried steak it was so good.☆Vanessa was took excellent care of us she didnt miss a beat. ☆
Everything is usually very good. When they 1st started serving their fried chicken it was crispy and juicy.lve had it 3-4 times recently and it was very dry.I like the fried chicken over the chicken fried chicken because I prefer dark meat. My fried chicken recently consisted of 1small leg, wing and 2 pieces of very dry breasts. No thigh?
Just left there. We had the best pancakes and warm syrup ever. Everyone from the hostess to our wonderful waitress, and the cashier was friendly and helpful. Best Cracker Barrel we have been to in Texas. We will be back next time we are traveling through.
Wish I could remember the waitresses name but she was incredibly nice. I ordered two hot chocolate and the second one they took extra time to make it extra good without me asking for it. The pancakes were phenomenal! Love it!
Dumpings mash potatoes salad fresh corn bread and biscuits very enjoyable 😋
The meal was delicious and the service was great! We were seated right away and the meal was served quickly and hot. It was nice to shop afterwards in the store section. Bring your family and friends!
The first time I went to a Cracker Barrel, I was a very young child out to dinner with my grandparents. I fell in love with the general store. The food is amazing, and their prices are super affordable. I do miss the smothered pork chops that they used to have, but their cornbread muffins make me miss my grandmother.
Took grandkids to eat here. They loved the confetti pancakes. We had a long wait but the food was good. They enjoyed the restaurant.
Great atmosphere and food as always. Got right in and out.
Always a delight! Love the store its beautiful
I got the chicken fried chicken and I ate all of it.It was great. I made 2 meals out of it.
I loved going to this place. The food is so great. The store was decorated for Christmas already and I loved it!
Food was good as was the service. They were very busy with almost every table having customers at home, but they were working through them as quick as possible. Haley issue I have is it is hard to hear with all the noise of everyone talking. I would suggest sound dampening foam on the ceiling as opposed to just a wooden place which reflect the sound back down around the customers.
Terrible from the start. We had a party of 7 and they tried to sit us at a table for 6, with only 4 chairs. The table and floor were very dirty, so we asked to move to the table next to us, which sat 8. The manager, Steven, told us that was reserved for 13 people that were already on their way. Almost all our silverware was dirty, with old food. Sweet teas came out as unsweetened, twice. Pancakes ordered with our original order didnt come out until everyone was done eating. Our original order was missing multiple items that took a while to correct. We complained to the manager, who just made excuses and literally turned and walked away as we were talking. We asked for the other manager, Joe, and he was apologetic and took care of everything. Our waiter, Mark, was great and handled everything wonderfully. Steven should probably find a new profession because his customer service, and attitude, is the worst Ive seen.
Let’s start by saying, this is some darn good Southern Fried Chicken!Initially, my friend and I went to the 360 location, which appeared overwhelmed with the newly released summer crowd. With sticky floors, crumbs, and a pleasant, but challenged staff, we decided to ease on down the road. It was a phenomenal choice.Once we arrived at the I20 location, every amazing vision of Cracker Barrel entered my mind. Lee was our waitress and she aimed to please. Our goal, to dive into a plate of tasty bird and that we did. The macaroni and cheese accompanied the chicken like a nice friend. However, the green beans appeared like they were out of the can. I give the place four stars because it was good, but they should consider great sides, for great entrees.
Food and service is always great!! Going to get my Thanksgiving heat n serve this year!!
This location has really improved the quality of service and food.My family had a very bad experience with a rude manager and under cooked food. There are Cracker Barrels everywhere and I had never had an issue with any of them so it was shocking to have had that singular experience, but Im happy to say thats over. Our server Adam was perfect! The New tenders recipe really hit the spot. Everyone enjoyed the food.
I just like my mash potatoes hot & dumplings. Luke warm. Catfish was small piece. My mom loved her plate.
I was at Cracker Barrel yesterday around lunch time, I ordered the meat loaf. It was dry no sauce what so ever. I will never order it again. My wife ordered the hamburger steak and onions, the menu said smothered in gravy. The waitress ask if she wanted gravy on potatoes she said yes. When lady brought it out no gravy on either one. My wife ask her about gravy, her comment was it cost a dollar each for the gravies. Disappointing. My wife told she wanted the gravy for mashed potatoes, when she got it it was as she called it gravy pudding it was so thick.
The lady that seated me had a ugly attitude even when I said thank you. I just didnt want to be seated at the front of the restaurant so I ask to be seated by the window. She threw my silver ware on the table along with the menu.
Very nice staff. The food was very good. It is a very well run Cracker Barrel. My wife and I had the Tuesday special, Meatloaf. The ice tea was great. We spent the night in the our RV in their parking lot with their permission. The kids got a few soviners from the store. The breakfast the next morning was also very good. The coffee was also great.
On July 9, 2021, a friend and I went around 11:15 to eat breakfast. Our silverware was brought in a basket with 2 napkins underneath and the silverware on top. Who knows where the basket had been. We both ordered coffee and water, but my friend did not get her water until we had to ask for it. She had ordered pancakes and they were hard, so she had to reorder them. Also, she had ordered hash browns and did not come out until we had to ask for them. We were given our check before we ready to leave. I understand she wanted to close her station, but she did not ask us if we wanted desert. I called over the manager and he said they like to turn the tables around in an hour during lunch time. I found this offensive because my friend and I are retired, so I did not know about the one hour rule. I did not like the fact that we were being rushed. He did comp my friends lunch, but the whole experience was terrible. Remember dont go in there unless you want to get out in an hour during lunch.
Love there food there coffee is great it taste fresh everytime I go .Service is friendly atmosphere is so warning and their store is great I love to shop when I go to have breakfast lunch or dinner at cracker barrel
The food and service were great! We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak w/ salad & mashed potatoes. Delish! Enjoyed
Purchased peach cobbler filling to add to a fresh peach pie. Store was extremely busy but personnel opened up a line to accept my payment. Excellent customer service❤
Awesome, great tasting food. The staff is very well organized and they do sit people faster than other restaurants that I have visited. And because they have a country store, one can browse the items while waiting for a table. Or you can also go outside and play checkers on the tables outside. We are regulars at this restaurant because it is just great food and a great family atmosphere.
The Cracker Barrel is a hit-or-miss. I was the Arlington, Bowen Rd location Saturday, July 24th. After a 30+ minute wait the server approached my table with 6 - 8 beverages on a small circular tray. She lost balance and spilled hot water into my lap. Luckily I had a gym bag in my trunk. I checked my skin and change clothes in the ladies room, then returned to my table. It was disappointing when they brought out the food that had since cooled down to room temperature, fully acknowledging they were aware the food had cooled down. The manager said I hope its OK, if not I can take it back. I said yes Id like fresh food. She took the grandmas breakfast plate, but left the pancakes which werent warm enough to melt butter. I did not want to appear as a nuisance, or bring more attention to myself so I left the food and paid a tip at the register. Whether a rising star or 4 stars its a hit or miss. Tip: Be sure to check the receipt on clearance items in the lobby, they often do not properly calculate.
I did not catch the names of the two lady managers but they were a blessing when my grandmother had a mishap in their store. We always love the food and atmosphere here. I cannot say enough good comments about this store in South Arlington, TX.
Hostess was great.Waiter got mad when we reminded him that we needed creamer for our coffee. We cancalled the order when we saw something extra on the following cup.We left and ate somewhere else. You spit in my coffee cause I called you out on forgetting to bring me some creamer?
Great place to bring your entire family. The servers are super polite and will treat you like a valued customer. The food is just as amazing as their service. I had lunch for breakfast and holy smokes their chicken fried chicken was God dang amazing.
Good service great food beautiful home decor mimosas what more could a woman ask for 👍
Seated in minutes. Friendly and Is knowledgeable staff outstanding service service food exquisite and as a chef I appreciated not just presentation and taste and portion size what they served it to where you had a feast with your eyes with your eyes long before your taste buds your taste buds as always well done but I am still much better lol
Food was delicious but wait time was awful. They kept saying 30minute wait time which it ended up 60minThen the hostess said the problem is not having enough servers. I said Well why don’t you close the place down? She laughed.
Good all American country cooking just like grandma had at the farm.
Excellent fried catfish and roast beef. Waitstaff was attentive. I just wish the better wasnt cold and hard to spread for breads. I have to hold the butter container in my hand to help it get soft.
Looking for GoGoos. This store sells a terrific number of candy from your child hood. Necco wafers, a large supply of
Went to two locations to have lunch. 1st one had hour and 45 mib wait so we drkve to this location which had 45 minute wait. So we waited, got seated. Waitress was pleasant enough. No issues with her. Problem was with the young lady who brought the food to the table. 1st, she took to the table next to ours. We saw that she was making a mistake and told her it was our food. She had already given my plate to the person at the other table 🙄. So she gave everyone else on my table their food. I told her I didnt want the food that she handed to the other people. She said she was gonna fix it. She said it 4 times. She took the plate to the kitchen scooped the potatoes off of the plate, put them in a bowl and sat it on the same plate. She brought it back in less than 2 minutes. As if I were stupid enough to think that I have a whole new fresh plate of food. REALLY! even in a non covid environment why would you give someone food that another customer has already touched! But I didnt leave,, or make a scene I just told the waitress what happened and asked if she could leave that plate on the table until she came back with a fresh plate of food. And I still gave waitress her full tip even though she seemed to have been annoyed by my request for fresh untouched food.I should have followed my 1st mind and left because I had gastro distress for the rest of evening. Had Alka seltzer for dinner and went to bed.
I had no idea that this was a store and a restaurant. Regarding the food,it was satisfactory but not blown away. The bacon was delicious, but the eggs were undercooked and the pancakes were lacking in flavor. I don’t see the fascination with the place, but love the scenery. The customer service was decent, the waiter was attentive. I probably wouldn’t return but it was not a terrible experience.
Restaurant was busy but got in quickly, good service, nice and clean, love to shop in store also, will come again.
As always, food was good and plentiful. Always a great place for any home cooked type meal. Desserts are plenty and a room you can browse the good old days and reminiscent and see and buy things from the past as well as today. Fun place to just walk around and browse. Will go back, prices are reasonable as well.
The food is always top tier, and a recent update to the table appetizers is delicious.
I hear and see so many restaurants suffering with lack of wait staff. It didnt appear this was the case at Cracker Barrel. Our food came out in a timely manner and taste great.
Had the catfish dinner and it was good. Nice size fillets.
Food was good. We lost our waitress for awhile at one point, but overall, it was good
We love Cracker Barrel, NOT this one!Seating was fast for a Friday 6:45pm. They were pushing the Turkey and Dressing dinner, which is exactly what we wanted.Waiter: Fast, Frequent, and on his game. (Spoke too fast, hard to understand).Kitchen: inconsistent at best, served us the exact same order, completely different meals! My mashed potatoes gravy was burnt, my wife’s meal had excess ground pepper, I tasted it.Her Hot Coffee was cold, ie.: the ice coffee pic was more appropriate. The experience was SUB-PAR!Not coming back to this location.
Was served by Casandra. Great server. Smiled all the time and checked on us regularly. Go see her.
Staff was awesome. Nice, friendly, and communicated clearly about being short staffed. Food was ok. People were well spaced apart.
Bad experience here. The drinks didnt have CO2, steak came out rare when asked for medium, and one order was completely wrong. Waitress didnt clear the table of extra dishes. Bright side that the manager handled the situation appropriately. Some places have an off day and nothing goes right which is understandable. The food is great here usually, the service just needs adjustment.
Pretty short wait given the time of day. Friendly staff and great food.
Great place to relax and get friendly service. Food is good and priced right.
Always great food. Great service
Wonderful as always. Got the Thursday turkey meal. Delicious.
Great place, tasty food, friendly staff, but service could use some improvements. Giving them 4* because large take out orders are always missing a side or 2. Need to have a system in place to make sure that is not happening. At least not constantly happening.
This place was ok. They didnt have straws for the ice coffee. And they were not serving the eggs in the basket anymore
I have been eating at Cracker Barrel for over 25 years. This used to be the best one in the Arlington/ Mansfield area. However, the biscuits were flat and hard. I was told they no longer poach eggs or do omlets. My bacon was so greasy that it took 2 napkins to sop up the grease. The grits were crunchy and oddly enough so were my sisters blueberry pancakes. This is not a one time issue, I had issues with a delivery order as well. This may be my last visit to Cracker Barrel.
This place has the best Home style cooking in the world ( That is unless your Momma cooked it herself) Theyve got the goods!!! From meatloaf to chicken fried steak and the best veggies and side dishes in the South !!!
Food is great as expected! (Ordered the breakfast mamas French toast) service was amazing. Kris was a great server and had a great personality!
Always a good meal to be had at Cracker Barrel. The staff is always friendly and courteous.
Waitress was super efficient and friendly. Food was good.
The food is great! The portions are reasonable. I always enjoy their breakfasts.
Great service, great country style food at a reasonable price.
Everything is great except that they do not offer an ice pick for the frozen butter they serve
Enjoyed the breakfast had been awhile that I was there.
Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Polite waitstaff. Very family friendly.
My friend and i stopped for breakfast, havent been for a couple of years.Love the decor!!! Asked if there was a wait, there wasnt.Jackie was our server, she was very pleasant, friendly and great shes been there for 10 yrs!!!Food was delicious and super scrumptious!!!! The only downside was lady on her phone behind lattice wall, talking loudly.Other than that, wonderful visit!!! Thank you Jackie and Cracker Barrel!!!!
2 hours and still waiting. I cant believe this. Is this normal? I mean Im ready to pull my hair out waiting this is ridiculous and it just a party of 3? I changed my 2 star to 1. As seeing a party of 4 said she check on @12:20 and is now getting seated. We are a party of 3 and checked in at 11:23am and we are still waiting. At this point I just burnt my whole morning and now my afternoon. We cant leave now. We will never be returning to any cracker barrel in any city!
The waitress was snappy. I didnt like the food. I wont eat there anymore.
Poor service. Food tasted good. Was just barely warm. Was there after noon rush hour. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Got them...wet.
