This place has unethical business practices. The advertisement is very clear $5.99 and they charge $10. The lady said $10 is after pandemic price.. 😲😲😲😲😲. Honor what you advertise.. dont let your customers pay price for your unwillingness to update advertisement. I am going bring this local consumer protection office and the state agency because this is WRONG.😡😡😡😡😡

This place is so disgusting and run down. People only go here for eyebrows. Their clothing selection is pathetic. The place smells like mold and urine. I think the owners are just holding onto the property and hoping someone buys their disgusting stock.

I came due to the 5.99 eyebrow threading price but ended up getting charged double for 10.99. Even though, I think the eyeborws came out pretty nice. The lady doing my eyeborws also seemed pretty nice and friendly!

I absolutely love shopping at Sona Chandi. The owner is hands on along with her great staff. They take time to know you and help you choose the perfect outfit for the occasion with all the accessories to compliment the outfit. My daughters and I call it the one stop shop.

Eyebrows threaded, uneven. Asked to be corrected. Portion asked to be corrected, was not corrected to my request. Too many times eyebrows not specific as requested. Once in car to double check in mirror. Areas missed, portion of hair here and there. I will not attend any further. Now one brow is shorter than other. I just paid, now have to clean up when I get home.

I have been coming here for the past 4 years to get my eyebrows done, there has never been a time I was unsatisfied with my eyebrows until the most recent time I went there. The service for the most part is usually good, the employees are very friendly.This time there were 2 new ladies and I decided to let one of them do my eyebrows (the lady that usually does mine was not present.) she got to threading and on my first eyebrow she worked on she went above my brow bone and she tried to completely change my shape. I did not let her continue doing my eyebrows after for I requested for the other lady to fix my eyebrows for me. The manager was very rude when it came to me confronting the lady about how she did my eyebrows. I had no refund and I walked out of the place beyond angry about my eyebrows.

Its really great experience at this store . They were giving out their anniversay sale discounts. All the collection was so good and they have all kinds of designer and bridal wear . Its like a place where we can shop for the entire family at a single shot. I would highly recommend this store for any kind of shopping because of their wide varieties :)

Terrible alterations! Will never return to that place again. I bought one lengha outfit from them, they promised everything will be perfectly fitting once they do alterations. However when I went to pick it up, I realized they had not done anything for the blouse. They did shorten the length of the skirt. However, they ruined all the embroidery work around the waistline. Finally they agreed to fix the blouse the way it supposed be but they took shortcuts. They stitched the blouse only on one side since the other side had a zipper. So when I put it on, blouse and all the neat bead work was of way off centered. I ended up taking it else where to have it redone. Staff will tell you anything to make the sale happen. There are plenty of other shops out there, I highly recommend skipping this place.

Every time I come to Sona Chaandi I always find what Im looking for. The color of outfits are almost every color under the sun. The quality is always top notch and the sales are very reasonable. I love coming here and its become my go to spot for anything I need for Pakistani events.

I got my nose pierced here and it was literally the worst decision ever because they do it with a piercing gun which is a big no no, I didn’t know until I actually got my nose pierced ..! The lady didn’t even ask for us to fill the forms or thing .. I don’t think she had a proper license or was even trained to do it ..! Bc she put way smaller stud and when my nose got swollen which is normal after piercing .. the stud sunk into my nose and I had to take it off and get it pierced professionally again ..!

I come here to get my eyebrows done when Im in the area. Theyre quick, efficient, and will do what you want (clean up, arch, etc.). Ive never seen it that full and I usually go on weekends. $6 for eyebrows.

Ive been meaning to write this review for sometime now. A few weeks ago in early August I went to Artesia for my first time in search of an nice Indian outfit for a very special event I was to attend at the Self Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine Temple. I searched all day for an outfit and was so sad to find that mens clothing is very hard to find. There are many beautiful stores that cater to women but very few that have clothing for men. After a long day of not finding anything when I had surrendered to the idea that it was just not going to happen...I saw Sona Chaandi and decided to stop in and try one last time. To my delight not only did they have Indian Clothing for men but they had a whole room of it!! There was so much to choose from I was in heaven! I found the perfect outfit and went back the next day and got another one. The staff was incredible nice and caring and genuinely welcoming. The store manager came to greet me and even offered me a Samosa while I waited for my Kurta to be tailored. They have their own tailor there in the store which is genius!! She is a very very nice lady with a great attention to detail. I felt like a prince and was so happy to have found this store!!!! And to my delight as I was waiting I found a beautiful image of Lord Ganesh and a very beautiful altar to Divine Mother. This just made it more special to me. I cant help but to give this store my deepest gratitude and do highly recommend them!!! The staff is so friendly and there are many many beautiful items to pick from, for both men and women. Many plus sized items too for men which is very rare to find. This is a gem and a treasure of a store!!!! Unceasing blessings to them!!! and all those who shop there!!

I started going to Sona Chaandi years ago for eyebrow threading during my undergrad days, and I try to visit for a cleanup whenever Im in the neighborhood.The payment process isnt confusing at all, and I havent waited more than 10 minutes to be seated at a station. Ive never had any issues with rude staff, bleeding or injury of any kind to my brow area. Though the staff may be quiet and not overly friendly, Ive never felt that they were hostile in any way. But honestly, I believe it might just be a language barrier. Its tough to be chatty if English isnt your first language, so Im not offended if I dont feel excessively pampered here. I come here for one reason only, and thats to have my brows cleaned up and artfully shaped-- not to be coddled.Ive probably had my eyebrows done by every staff member, and each of them take their time and are meticulous when working on them. I always leave feeling happy with my brand new brows. One thing I feel is missing is just some aloe vera to soothe the area.I havent bought any fabric or jewelry from the store, but Ive browsed through it occasionally. Theyve even had celebrity customers such as Gwen Stefani and Freida Pinto. If I ever need beautiful and colorful fabric, Ill definitely visit them. If its good enough for an A lister, then its good enough for me!Dont forget to check in here for a $5 eyebrow threading!

Lady charged me before threading my eyebrows, and I was not content with how they came out.

Ive tried to go cheap with the threading places (like I-Salon), but their work is usually hit or miss, and most of the time its a miss. I dont mind paying extra for high quality, and its rare that I get subpar service here. Everyone is nice here and they do an awesome job of shaping my brows and taking out my Frida Kahlo-esque upper lip hair. Theres even a bonus card program too.

Wow. You think you know... but you have no idea.This place is awesome! I never even knew that a store like this existed!Upon walking in, it was like being kicked in the neck with the most explosive color palette you could ever imagine (and yes, I mean that in the good way). There are ruby reds, majestic mauves, Bollywood blues and more jewel and bead work than the mind can even comprehend. There are hats, slippers, sari, poofy pants (no, that is not what they are actually called, but they are poofy!) and the bestest part of all is that they will tailor them on site!For our Yelp Bollywood party I was originally going to go with this dark purplish-burgundy number because I loved the top, but once I tried the pants on, ooof, I looked like a fatty mo patty. Not flattering at all. They had already altered it and when I finally pulled the plug on it, they didnt get upset at all.I ended up going with this gorgeous burgundy number that was surprisingly flattering on the frame. Those saris really do cover all the right areas to bring out the good flesh.At the end of the shopping adventure, I spent about $120 for a dynamite costume that included the top, the sari, the bindi and gorgeous bracelets that will be definitely making return visits at parties moving forward. Thanks Sona, you rock!
