People are kinda helpful. When they can figure out what a bushing is. Prices are a little higher than Lowes but its worth the time savings to go here. The guy in the lumber department is friendly and very helpful.

If I could go into the negative ratings, I would give them one unfortunately Im forced to give them an obligatory 1 star. Customer service = non-existent, at least if youre of color. Definitely funny to find that my mom and I were that entertaining for all of the employees that worked there. Regret having spent around $14. Definitely making the trip to Lowes or Home depot from now on.

Its a little more expensive because theres no other hardware store in town now and the parking lot sucks bad a few spots to park and half are used for the workers if they dont have what you need you have choose roswell or carlsbad we need another hardware store here

I went a few months ago. NOBODY wanted to help me that day. Only one employee the young female cashier with glasses she went above and beyond to help me to cutting my lumber to specific sizes when she didnt know how to operate table saw. Even the table saw she tried asking fellow employees for help but they just walked off or acted to be busy. I greatly appreciate her hard work and amazing customer service skills. If it wasnt for her help I wouldve just taken my money else where.

They have just about everything you need, though you might have to find it yourself. I was looking for something specific and got looked at like I didnt know what I was talking about. After finding the items the individual suddenly knew what I was talking about. However the store is a great place for projects.

A little expensive but they have what you need

In my opinion the only reason this place stays open is because they are the only hardware store in Artesia. Ive been forced to shop there on numerous occasions spanning over 5 years and I can honestly say I have never had more than a 2 star experience. Its a find it yourself, hope they actually have it, catch some attitude if you ask for help, and leave frustrated kind of place. If youre a contractor from out of town and you have the time make the drive to Carlsbad or Roswell. Leave this as a last resort.

I only give this store one star because I found what I needed. The service was horrible! The employees need to be trained in customer service.

I spend a lot of money at this store but I would not shop here if it were not the only store in Artesia. Every time I have special ordered something, they take my cell phone number down to call me when it comes in. I have to call them or go into the store to find out if my order is in. I have asked why they don’t call and have been given lame excuses by joe the person who orders. I have even been told it was my fault for not answering the phone. I was even told that it is my responsibility to call then to find out if my order ever made it in. They never called me, I have caller Id on my cell phone. I don’t appreciate being blamed for something that is clearly their fault. This store does NOT live up to the ACE Hardware name it carries. Poor service and I even know a woman who refuses to enter this store because she was treated badly by one of the male employees. If this wasn’t the only hardware store in Artesia, I would shop elsewhere!!!
