I came here yesterday with my sister and we were completely blown away by the flavor and quality of the ice cream. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews, we were impressed! We sampled several flavors and had a very hard time choosing what to get! From what we sampled, the kulfi, paan, saffron, and pistachio flavors were delicious! Very strong flavors and creamy texture, how we like it. We ended up going with the rasbhog and rose flavors, which were amazing! I cannot say enough about the rasbhog especially, it was definitely a treat! I have to say, the young girl that helped us was very nice, so from my experience the service was pleasant. 10/10 recommend. I cant wait to come again!P.S. the only complaint I would have is the $1.00 charge for using a card, since that is ridiculously high. Thankfully we had cash on us, which was rare, or else I may have been inclined to rate a little lower.

I am very big fan of falooda’s, but here the faloodas are pretty bad.. They have just cut kesar pista kulfi (btw which is also pretty bad in taste) into pieces and added some vermicelli without any drink to top it with… I am not sure why some faloodas have drink and some are not… it’s pretty bad experience overall

Called to make a large order. The first time a sweet worker picked up. To place a large order you need to speak to the owner, she wasnt at all welcoming. When I called back to finalize my order, no one seems to want to answer the phone. Its unfortunate, that the customer service is as bad as it is, because the ice cream is pretty good. Found out from mutual friends, the owner has a problem of being rude to her customers. Will be taking my large order to someone with better customer service.

Not as great of a place as recommendations were raving about. The falooda was not even actually falooda but just half a cup of whole milk plus sabja seeds, noodles and a spoonful of syrup for color and flavor with a scoop of ice cream. The chutney sandwich barely had any chutney on it. There was a layer of butter and instead of putting masala as the lady in the store mentioned there was just a thick layer or grounded black pepper. I probably should have asked what the massla would contain instead of assuming it would be chaat masala or sandwich masala. Maybe ill try it without the masala next time.

First of all there was nobody at the counter and we literally had to yell for someone to come and help us. When the lady had finally come from wherever she was she had a very rude attitude towards us. When we took a look at the ice cream itself it was melted and almost moldy. Very bad

Tasting flavors before you choose is important especially the non basic ones and apparently they dont let you taste their Exotic Flavors. So just went with Mango 🙄 It was OkSticking to mainstream stores, they let you taste!

The quality of the ice cream has definitely gone downhill. The pistachio ice cream had food coloring (disgusting) and all the flavourings have been diluted. The saffron ice cream used to have an intense yellow and now its just off white. Despite the changes in flavour, less cream is used and the ice cream overchurned causing ice particles to form throughout each bite.I purchased a total of five different flavours for $17.00 - all extremely small scoops and all of them were a disappointment. While I try to support small, local eateries, the Saffron Spot is definitely on my DO NOT RETURN list!!!

Pretty good Indian flavored ice creams. We got the chikoo flavor, the paan flavor, and the Kulfi.Kulfi was a little too sweet, but was also very creamy and tasted good. Would be better with a little less sugar, I think.Chikoo was pretty meh. Didnt really get the flavor. Maybe the batch of fruit they used wasnt the best.Paan was our favorite. Right amount of sweetness. Really liked the herbs/whole spices (like fennel) inside.

Pretty neat flavors for kulfi. They even have fresh paan (as well as a paan flavored kulfi). I tried the masala milk which had a lot of chopped pistachios and almonds in it. Not a usual beverage and one best consumed either hot or freezing cold. I got mine hot, so felt the pressure to finish it before it got lukewarm.

I always go here for kulfi whenever Im in Artesia. Great selection of kulfi. Reasonably priced and soo good. They also give u samples to try. This time I tried their sugar free falooda with sugar free Malai kulfi and sugar free rose syrup. I was impressed! Of course, no where as good as the sugary/regular version. But still I was satisfied with the healthier option :) definitely coming back for more and more

I read about this place online and I decided to give it a try. Boy am I sure glad that I did.In addition to the normal flavors of ice cream, they had some different flavors. I think just about every one I tried was delicious. It wasnt any more than a place that has ice cream, but at least with this youre getting something you cant get at the store.I would highly recommend coming here and trying out their ice cream, just to try something different. The interior was clean and the staff was great, so overall I have no complaints.

Such delicious and complex flavours! This place is amazing, but you must be initiated into the tastes of Indian dessert. They are quite different! My wife loves most of the flavors, but my palate hasnt adjusted to some of the rich tastes. I highly recommend getting samples of everything, because its hit or miss if you are only used to typical American ice cream. When you find the right flavour, you will be amazed!

Visited this place on July 20th after hearing some nice reviews. They mentioned if I wanted to try something and I tried a flavor and liked it. So, went ahead and ordered 2 scoops. After handing over the order they said that particular flavor is special and I had to shell out extra bucks for it. Nowhere was it written that it was a special. Very typical gimmicky desi behavior. Too expensive for a not so good ice-cream.

Went there last night with my family for the first time - Not very impressed.Small shop with not that many choices of ice cream. Few Persian flavors like rose, saffron, mawa etc., Indian inspired flavors like rajhbog etc. and then they have few regulars like mango etc.One positive thing is that they do have free parking.Prices are high and shown on their website are not accurate. For example; 2 scopes are $4.99 and not $4.50. They do charge $0.50 extra regardless of the total if paid by debit or credit card. They do have other stuff like sugar cane juice etc. Check their website for detailsWe got ice cream falooda for $4.99+tax which comes with small scope of any 4 flavors in noodles with rose syrup and takmaria. Ice cream was good but because of high sugar in rose syrup, whole item was ruined! Why so much sugar?Their customer service was not that good. There was no thank you at the end of the checkout or when were about to leave. One other thing I noticed is the charging of sales tax on ice cream. Per California law, sales tax can only be charged for hot items or dine in. Then why these people are charging tax on cold and take out items? This is illegal! In addition, I think they are charging more than their official city sales tax of 9%! Check your receipt!I am seriously thinking to file a complaint with the city and state.

Saffron, Rose, Butterscotch, LycheeNo, not just stripper names. But, names of the exotic flavors of kulfi (Indian ice cream) available at Saffron Spot in Artesia. On a scorching 92 degree SoCal day, I needed some icy sweetness to cool off my hot body. The day before, it was milk tea boba. For today, a few scoops of kulfi sounded like just what was needed.Located inside the Little India Village Food Court, Saffron Spot offers up the aforementioned kulfi & other sugary offerings, such as fresh pressed sugarcane juice, gola (shaved ice), lassi (probiotic yogurt drink) & falooda (scoops of kulfi on a bed of noodles w/ rose syrup & basil seeds). On this occasion, my mind was on kulfi & kulfi was on my mind. After sampling the various flavors, I decided upon a scoop of sitaphal (custard apple) & chikoo.Cold, smooth & rich, the scoops of kulfi hit the spot. Mellow in flavor, I relished the density of each delicious spoonful. I wouldve preferred more assertive tastes of each respective ingredient profile. However, on this hot day, I had frosty goosebumps & an icy shiver while enjoying my treats. So, mission accomplished, Saffron Spot!Service was good. I was allowed to sample whatever my heart desired. A few tables & stool seating on hand to enjoy your treat. Parking is inside the Little India Village Food Court. Several signs inform visitors that parking is for customers only & violators will have their car towed. So, dont park here if youre going to explore Little India by traversing Pioneer Blvd.Saffron Spot, your authentic flavors & all natural ingredients have made me a fan. I was cool as a cucumber after happily stuffing my face with the sitaphal & chikoo kulfi. Im anticipating coming back whenever the heat returns and Im in need of some frozen fun.Highly recommend!
