Way over priced. Went with my fiance to get her brakes replaced, and they thought since she was a woman she wouldnt know any better, and tried to tell her it would cost $700 for brakes. Went to Dawkins Automotives up the road, and got it done for less than $400, and thats with two new rotors also. They try to treat people like their dumb, taking advantage of people.

The customer service I received from the older man at the desk was impeccable. The service that I actually received was awful. The KID working on my car kept messing up my ignition, I paid almost $200 to get my A/C recharged and I couldnt tell a difference, nor did they change the filter for the A/C. They spilled oil on top of my engine so I could smell it burning. For the A/C work, that I truly believe was not done, changing my oil and filter and rotating my tires, which Im also not confident was done, took over three hours which seems very excessive seeing as I made an appointment. Just found out today that they had forgotten to put the cap back on after my fathers oil change a few weeks ago which caused some problems with his vehicle. Overall very dissatisfied with my experience and will not be back for any reason. Highly recommend avoiding this business

After NTB Asheboro NC installed new tires on my Truck, I discovered a severe vibration coming from the tires.The Manager, Billy Resendes said it felt like 1 or 2 of the tires were out of round or had broken belts.He isolated the bad tires and had 2 new tires send.He then mounted the new tires on my Truck and had the Alignment rechecked.Bottom line, this ordeal took much of the day, but it was well worth it because this issue was resolved.Mr Resendes treated me with total respect and was very professional.He is the sort of Manager every company should employ.I will spread this professional courtesy to all my family and friends.

This NTB has been amazing. I have tried other places (chain and private shops) since I moved here to NC. Here at the Ashboro NC location they are quick and efficiant. Especially for a chain auto shop they dont markup prices that are ridiculous. They tell you what needs to be done and what is most urgent but they do NOT push or get an attitude if you can not afford to get everything done. The shop is always busy but its clean and quiet in the waiting area. They have a comfortable waiting area with drinks, vending machines, coffee maker, comfortable chairs, and tables to sit at. Definitely recommend coming to this location!!!!

My car was packed and I was ready to hit the road for a girls trip when a MASSIVE rock went through my tire. It was flat in a matter of minutes and every tire place around me was closed. I had worked with ntb before so I called to see if there was any way to fit me in. Billy and his team worked with me...even staying late to ensure my tire was replaced. Im so greatful that they saved the day!

Very disappointedI was a new customer here but on the last trip to get an oil change, I noticed there were oil fingerprints on the inside of my interior on the cloth part near where they place the sticker. In addition, there were oil fingerprints on my windshield as well. I noticed this one day I was looking at the sticker and I called NTB. I think I talked to the manager and he offered to clean it if I brought it in. It was too late, I cleaned about 97% of the stain off my interior.After careful thought, I decided to get my car serviced at the Dealership from now on. I have never had an issue with them concerning their service people being so careless. I am not sure you can trust anything they do if they will do this to your car.

I have entered this place twice only to be ignored by the person behind the counter.Completely and purposely left standing without even a nod, a one moment hand motion, nothing. The only reason I gave 1 star is because none wasn’t an option
Good prices. This place is always slammed even with an appt. Your only hope for a timely oil change is to arrive first thing in the morning. Morning staff arrive in 15 - 30 min increments and leave work the same way. Make sure to take your mileage and license plate no. in with you. Checking in is a process (their end) and if you forget that car info youll stand there while the desk person walks out to retrieve it extending the check-in time. Otherwise its the cheapest and fastest in town. Oh, and they price match on tires.
Went in for a tire patch. They took out my temporary patch I had put on it which was working, and then told me they couldn’t fix it. I was left with a hole in my tire and had to drive to another place on the spare. Not their fault they couldn’t fix it but a waste of my time.

El actually crawled under the truck and put his ear up to the bolt in the tire to see if it had punctured the tire before proceeding. That was going an extra mile to me. Never seen anyone else take that step. Thanks!

This place is a rip off, you go in for the discount alignment and they do an overall check and tell u that u need 900.00 worth of work done. I ended up getting 4 tires brand new a balance normally comes free with brand new tires and an alignment. They charged me 385.00$ OUTRAGED CUSTOMER!!!!! I was under the assumption that is was 41$ per tire, plus the alignment total 245.00... And thats what the older man told me but when it came time to pay it was 3hundred eighty-five dollard and 0 cents 385.00$$$ I had to rate them at a 1 star because there os not a start for 0..

I stopped in for an oil change and tire rotation. Nothing out of the ordinary. The reason for 2 stars (dislike) is because of the Extreme up selling attempts by the short gentleman in the green jacket.I dont need my brake fluid flushed ( ! ) and my transmission fluid at 56,000 miles doesnt need to be flushed, either.I noticed that he didnt attempt to upsell such nonsense to any of the men who were there buying tires or getting their oil changed.His attempted up-selling might have worked on someone not familiar with the mechanics of an engine, however, I am not that person.
The first time I went, I had got an alignment done. The person that did my alignment the first time did a really bad job. So I went back to tell the manager, and he handled the whole situation the best way possible. He had Daniel look over my alignment and all the suspension components and everything that was wrong with my alignment from the first alignment. Daniel went above and beyond to insure my car was safe to drive. I am very satisfied with how my alignment turned out. I will definitely be a returning customer, I highly recommend this place to anybody.

Went to get my car inspected and they couldn’t because their inspection person wasn’t there. Seems like they should have more than one person available for inspections if they’re going to advertise being able to do them on their website.

I had an appointment at 1pm was told it would take 1hr 30mins. My car was not touched for an hour and I did not get to leave until 5pm. They made excuse after excuse!

Took 4 hours for an alignment. The people who work there have little to no experience (literally). No education needed. Stood and watched the “mechanic” trying to figure out how to work their own alignment machine. Took 4 tries to align it and the car drove better before the alignment. Made up my mind to never go there again, BUT what drove me to actually right a review is that a month later when I’m deciding to change my oil, I find a vice grip wrench still snapped on my control arm. For you guys are missing it I have it. Thanks for scratching up my entire half of the arm.
I went in for an oil change and also ended up needing an air filter. Customer service was excellent! The staff are very knowledgeable and will make suggestions for your vehicle (if needed) just to keep you informed and to make sure you are good to go. I definitely will be back to have them install new tires for me soon!

I was on vacation and drove there and picked up a nail in my tire at some point. I was recommended to us this place by the hotel staff. I got there and the lady and the desk was very helpful and they got me in there in no time and we were on our way to enjoying the start of our vacation. Went in there for an oil change. These guys get paid in commission because they either sabatoge your stuff or over sell you in things they say you need. Dang i feel like they kinda force you to do it too because they tell you midway of the change. If you decline they upsells, they have an opportunity to mess with your stuff. Like how do they know so much about my own car when half of them barely have a high school education driving clunkers. Just want my a quick oil change without all the forceful up sale.

First time using NTB. I was very pleased with the friendly service. Customer waiting was undoubtedly a frequent visitor because the familiarity and jovially between them and the staff was quite evident. It made me feel good to witness their interactions. To me that speaks volumes about the kind of place I had chosen to change my oil.
Fast service, the price was really good. With no pressure to fix problems that they find. They tell you what they have found wrong, but let you make the decision n what to do without any attitude if you dont let them fix them.

I had made an appointment for my car, i told them my car was lowered before making the appointment. I told them if i needed to raise it up or take the bumper off. They told me it should be fine. The next day i arrive, they tell me no instantly. i told the guy I was told it would be okay to do it and also said i would take the bumper off and still rejected my business. Take your car to Thomas tire, like the man at the counter suggested me to go.
Bonnie is a gem; kind, compassionate, and understanding. Service here is amazing and they stand up to their guarantees, across country, within their subsidiaries. Tire prices are comparable. Oil Changes and alignments are some of the best and least expensive in town. I look forward to my next visit.
THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED..!!!I go in to drop my car off for an oil change and have to wait 20 min. for them to get to me (not that busy either). I had previously been give a $5.00 off coupon to use on my next visit which I mentioned and gave to the associate..When i came back to pick up my car it was drizzling rain and I noticed that my window was down..!!(not down when I left the car). Went in to pay and pick up and had to wait ANOTHER 20 min. before I was helped(still not that busy inside). Was told then that I couldnt use my coupon and the rep who said I could was just wrong; asked why my window was down and was told;I dunno...I didnt do it I asked to see the manager, as I had my GPS, Camera and Files in the back seat. I was then informed that this jack-leg WAS the Service Manager... I tell ya what, Im not sure if this is a chain or privately owned but it is at best a Backyard Garage with even worse service... Sure the 1/2 off oil change SOUNDED good, but in the long run I ended up paying much more than it was worth...STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION IN YOU VALUE YOUR TIME, CAR AND VALUABLES THAT YOU MAY LEAVE IN IT....!!!!
The first time I used this Merchants, I needed 2 rear tires as I had shaking which was determined to be possible tread separation, and they were quick and professional. They replaced the tires 11/17/12. I still had minimal shaking at a certain speed when going back to SW Florida. I had their sister company, Tire Kingdom, look and see what they could find, and that person said probably new shocks would do it.I was going back to NC 12/17 and the problem persisted. I brought the van to this Merchants to try to figure out why the van was still shaking at certain speeds, intermittently. It was determined I needed a new transmission as it was shaking when the transmission wanted to go into over-drive, then they found a leaking radiator, and, the engine block was cracked and leaked. The estimate read $8000 to repair it all.I went for a second opinion to a reputable firm today, and they went through the van up one side and down the other, they used the estimate from Merchants as work sheet. They drove the van slowly and fast, put it through all kinds of tests and the result was that they found it all came from the tires. After rotating the tires and balancing them again, remember these were a month old from Merchants, the reputable firm charged me $40.80 for their work. The told me a plug was leaking anti-freeze, minimally, there was a hairline crack in the engine and the radiator was OK.I will warn everyone I know about Merchants and Tire Kingdom (Tire Kingdom didnt charge me as per warranty). It is shameful to do this to anyone, let alone an old lady who knows nothing about cars.
This has been the worst experience. I went to get a simple patch in my tire and for them to look at another tire to see if the belt was broken on it. I called and they said to come by anytime it would be no problem. I swing by before work thinking this wouldnt take an extremely long time. Oh, how wrong I was. 1.5 hours later the guy comes in to tell me that I need a new alignment, the sensor inside my tire might be damaged and it would be $150 dollars. I advised him that I had just got the car alligned around two weeks ago and that the sensor should not be that much. The guy also stated that my tire was leaking around the rim and he fixed that but did not mention anything about patching same. As for my other tire he told me it was completely fine and safe to drive. The next day I have a flat tire because they did not fix the patch and Im having to get two new tires due to now not knowing about the other tire. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Side note the guy also advised me I would just have to turn my radio up louder due to my tire making noise until I can buy 4 new tires. These tires were purchased a year and one month ago. Will never go back.
I dropped my tire off for warranty work which required a patch at 10:30 AM. I finally received a call at 6:30 that night to inform me that I needed a new tire, thats 8 hours later. They said my tire would be ready the next morning. I get a phone call and they had the wrong size and had to order one and that the tire would ready for pickup by 10:00 AM. I came inside the store and waited for someone to greet me and since that didnt happen I looked inside the office around the corner and found Amber the receptionist curled up in the office chair sound asleep, I had just spoke with her on the phone 10 minutes earlier.Ive bought two sets of tires from them and one oil change and not once were they on time for my appointment, not even close. I have more I could add, but it wont do any good.This is the worst run store to do business at and I highly suggest to shop elsewhere, as I will only return until my warranty ends on what I already have through them.
Ill never go backWalked in the door told the man I needed tires. I picked the Michelins. He said cool these are buy two get two free. I said awesome. I told him since i was getting a deal to put the 3 year alignment on there to.These tires were $200 round about mind you.Bill was $905 ?He never once said that they were going to put some package on each tire. I read never told about this never asked.
Had an “appointment” as told on the phone was needed. Still took two hours for a tire rotation and oil change. Didn’t rotate the tires because front are more worn then rear, and as the guy in the office said “since it’s rear wheel drive that’s where you need the grip”. It’s a minivan. Front wheel drive. Just look underneath and notice the lack of a drive shaft. Plus that’s why I wanted them rotated, so the better tires were where they needed to be. Oil is spilled all over the motor and steering wheel is covered in grease. Overfilled with oil, so now I still have to crawl underneath tomorrow and drain some out. This was suppose to save me work as I usually do all my own maintenance, but instead just took time away. I could have had it all done and showered in less time. Ridiculous
So I set a appointment on the up on the 10th of January for the 17th of January because a filter kit had to be ordered to do a transmission service I was told it would cost me around 140$ but had to wait a week on the 10th when I spoke with the manager Darren. So I go in on the 17th drop my car off at 11:30a no one said anything except we’ll call when it’s ready. So no one ever called I call around 2:30p and they tell me it’s waiting. I arrive on the location Asheboro NC to find out that it’s only going to cost 90 some dollars I inquire as to why it’s less. They tell me they only done a drain and fill because no one new that the filter and gasket was suppose to be changed except the manager Darren and he was not there. So I’m very disappointed at this point and leave. Then I decided to call back spoke with the assistant manager who tells me we can make this right!!! And to call back on the 18th to schedual another appointment to have it done right so I did. We’ll then they want to charge me for draining the fluid and filling it again plus parts and labor except this time it’s not 140 it’s 340$ will never go back to this place there just as bad and wrong as the stealer ships. I would have gave zero stars except I can’t. And if you decide to go ask for Jason he’s the best up there he genuinely cares if he ain’t there DONT GO!!!
Came for an oil change had to end up doing my air filters as well. Total was $150 didnt mind. Soon as we left my slip light & vdc off light came on then turns off by itself. Does it sometimes now. Came back said it was a coincidence. Never coming here again. Should of read the reviews.
I visited NTB on Saturday for a basic walk in SIMPLE Inspection on my 2017 car, and came out with damage to my car.After a NICE, CALM in depth discussion with the manager Jason WE came to terms that they WERE going to correct the issue.He even acknowledged that he believed that I was truthful that it wasnt there initially.Jason expressed that on Monday morning he would call the Toyota dealership to order this piece and they WOULD be taking care of this issue.All was well !until ON Tuesday Jason said,he had thought about it over the weekend and it just doesnt add up, that this couldnt have happened in the process of a simple inspection and basically said theres NOTHING we can doIve called Customer Service and they have submitted my claim to a district manager and am anxiously waiting on a resolution.UPDATE 10/2/2018 : NOT ONE TIME DID I EVER GET TO SPEAK TO A DISTRICT MANAGER ... IT WAS COMMUNICATED TO ME THAT THERE IS NO WAY THEY CAUSED DAMAGED TO MY CAR.THIS WAS 19 DAYS OF BACK AND FORTH AND BACK AND FORTH, THEY EVEN MADE ME TO GO THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP TO PROVE THAT THE PIECE WAS NOT WARRANTED OR UNDER DEFECT ETC.I PROVIDED THEM WITH PAPERWORK AND A STATEMENT FROM THE DEALERSHIP, AS WELL AS PROVIDED PICTURES AND THEY STILL DENIED THAT THEY DID IT.DO NOT GO HERE. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND WILL NOT CORRECT A WRONGED ISSUE.

What a great first impression. Also took them over 2 hours to do an oil change. Oh I’m sorry, were you waiting for me to go on? Nope, 2 hours to do ONLY AN OIL CHANGE.Then they had the audacity to tell me my battery needs to be replaced. This battery was put in brand new 04/2016. It’s currently 12/2018. Prices are higher than normal, and they give you an estimate of one hour but plan on waiting much longer. Ive been waiting 2.5 hrs already for 1 tire. They tell you quick times to keep you here, but I mostly likely will not come back here.
After problems over the years with the Tire Kindom and Merchants... I only went back because of Melissas kindness, customer service, and willingness to make sure customers are taken care of! She completely restored my faith in the company, and sold me awesome tires and a package I think will greatly benefit me in the long run! She is one of the most knowledgeable people I have talked to and so glad she is the manager in Asheboro!!!
I spent 5 hours waiting for an oil change, tire rotation, balance and alignment. After an two hours I was shown one of my back tire which was splitting and needed replacing and told the other back tire needed to be replaced as well. I purchased the two new tires and then waited another hour and a half for the subsequent alignment and balancing. When I got to my car to leave I noticed black grease on my khaki cloth front seats requiring the manager to request a can of cleaner from Car Quest. My driver door was covered in grease as well as the middle console. It was finally decided that the driver seat would have to be professionally cleaned for which the manager gave me $15 to have the seat cleaned after contacting the cleaner of my choice. I then left and returned 3 times because the vehicle was not driving correctly. Once it was not balanced correctly. Another it was not aligned, and the third time the new tires had to be rotated to the front and then balanced and aligned. I will not be giving NTB my business again and will not recommend them to anyone.
Tried to sneak in a double parts charge and wanted to charge for 4 hours of labor (which was way more expensive than the average labor cost) for literally a 30 min job. They didnt get my business, needless to say, and i wouldnt recommend them at all
They were wonderful. They got my car ready in a timely manner, and were willing to work with me. I will definitely be going back there in the future. It is also a plus that they are open on Sundays!
Made an appointment for 3:00 PM to get a simple oil change and took three hours to get it done. I will not be back and this is not the first time. To top off it off you have flies constantly bothering you.
Ridiculous! Yesterday I had an apt. @ 11:00am to get an inspection. I get there and they tell me the machine has been down for an hour and a half and no one bothered to call me. I made another apt. for today @ 11:30am and they did not pull my car into the garage until 12:17pm. I finally left @ 12:45pm. I got off work both days to get this done. If you have all day to twiddle your thumbs, great place to go!
