One of the most accommodating Staples I have ever used. I needed assistance with a short timeline print job and they were great with communications and making it happen for your team. Shoutout to Robert for making it happen!!
Wonderful service. Staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Traveling to Asheville for work, I made three trips to this location in one day. Each person who helped me was a problem solver and happy to assist. Special thanks to KG in printing who was my MVP that day; highly reccomend this location for same day print services.
So grateful for kind staff. KG and Barry were so kind. I had a large document that I sent in from online and the photos misprinted. I brought back the document and showed the misprints and they were so kind and gladly helped me. Highly recommend to friends, family, anyone! Amazing experience! Thank you KG and Barry!!
Terrible customer service. The gentleman in the print services area was very distracted and unavailable to help with a simple task of printing a one page document on card stock. Fortunately, FedEx was fantastic! So helpful with very streamlined and attentive service.
Great store. Helpful staff. Has almost anything most folks might want or need.
5 stars for the service Ryan gave me at this store!!!I came in to print off flyers Id made for my cat who was lost and had a hard time with working the printer myself. Despite being busy, Ryan was able to manage helping several guests simultaneously without any of us losing quality customer service. Was so grateful for his help formatting and printing the flyer. I was distraught, exhausted, and worried, and Ryan really helped me ensure the flyers would bring our baby home. He was patient, understanding, and very kind.Thank you, Ryan, so much for everything. Treat him well, Staples!
This staples in a lot of ways reminds me of the old sitcoms where people are either very invested in you or are completely turned off by human contact. This location has its perks, mainly its the location and some items are well priced and affordable while others fit the bill of the area and are overpriced, thr store is clean, and overall friendly staff just inconsistent in its customer service.
This happens too often. WGC - Wild Goose Chase. On my last trip Good Maps had me drive 4 mile in one direction turn around and drive back 6 miles. At least 8 miles of unnecessary driving.
Cluttered print shop area. Dropping off a package took a long time
In and out..fast
Does not recycle the products they say they do! Electronics and ink and tons of paper in the trash! Batteries of all kinds in the trash@! Ask them who they use for recycling there batteries! Bet they cant!
Horrible disregard to customers...Sheri at the print an copy center was especially rude. All I wanted was 4 laminated copies of a brochure. A request that takes 5 minutes. They wanted to charge twice the$$$ amount as office depot an told me to come back this evening to pick them up. She had 0 customers an ignored me because she wasnt getting help from other employees while she made personal moves an a personal phone call. Most professionals I know depends on the assistance, understanding, and patience from their office store.
I had a problem with picking up an internet order- at least partly my fault. They worked out a good solution under stressful circumstances (they were swamped)
I only go to purchase something because theyre so close. The copy and print center continues to get worse; less service and higher prices.
I’d like to just say thank you to Sarah for making my day brighter today. It’s always special when someone takes the time to care about the customer.
Robert, the Manager, was extremely helpful!! Showed us where to take our old printers, gave us a $30 credit toward a new printer, listened to what we wanted and checked us out. We were in and out of the store in ten minutes. We loved the experience and the new printer.
The manager, Brian, offers TERRIBLE customer service. It’s comical to watch him ignore customers needs and make us feel like annoyances. He talks down to his staff in front of customers and it creates an awkward situation. I’ve been there 3 times and hope I don’t need to return.
KG was very helpful and extremely pleasant to deal with. Thank you sir
Alas...forget Amazon, Walmart, Target and all these stores been using since 2000..Staples is the best...badly needed a cartridge for my printer...greeted with Out of Stock...and you must buy $35 worth of goods etc. etc. etc. ...I got a recommendation from my Seattle MSFT workmate...call Staples...I did ..received the cartridge delivered FREE...same price and absolutely floored by the great service and products....forever my go to place for office supplies etc. Great job guys...especially in the horror of a pandemic!
I came into Staples around 2:30 p.m. to print a color program for a Benefit Concert. I called a couple days before and was told a certain price. When I arrived I was sent to the self-serve section by one of the associates (young man). I decided to run a test copy. The color copy had a long line through the image and I also notice the price was going to be almost double what I was told on the phone. So I spoke with another sales associate, Laura P., and she stated the cost might be different if I leave it and have them print them on the non-self-service side. I was told the copies would not be ready until 6:00 p.m. I had some shopping to do at the store. I made my selections and was at the check-out counter paying when I noticed Laura walking towards the checkout. She was totally awesome and had the copies ready which saved me driving back a couple hours later. I am forever grateful to her and to Staples for this. Staples took a load of stress off of mind since the later time would have been more challenging to do since the event was later that evening. THANK YOU!
This place is great. Ive always had excellent experiences at their copy center. The employees are very helpful. The young blond lady (didnt get her name) is very organized and provided excellent customer service!!!
This has always been my go-to office suply and quick print location. Theis staff is always friendly and helpful. They have been especially curteous during these crazy times.
Every time I come here theres a line 6 deep and one register open - it seems actually only one person working in the whole store. What I expect to be a quick trip turns into a much too long errand nightmare .
My favorite store to keep my life organized, scheduled and on time. Great for any size business needs or personal goals. See ya soon Staples!
Decent selection of products, some cute novelty gift stuff as well (stationary, picture frames, etc). Staff doesnt seem too happy but is always polite. They are fast at ringing me up. Not many people around the store though when youre in need of assistance.
My experience with Staples was extremely positive. Barry and Julia in printing really helped to expedite my business card order! Not only that, but they were extremely kind in doing so even though they were very busy.
This place is steadily busy, but I have not been disappointed in quality or service. Laura is always so helpful and thorough. Thanks for doing such a great job!
Their copy machines cannot read files from a USB created on a Mac.And if I submit them via email I may or may not receive them same day.In this day and age, its ridiculous, as many Mac users as there are.
Had a great experience with Laura in Printing...She was very helpful and patient with directing me online & over the phone. She even called to inform me of a tiny mishap and corrected the issue immediately. Excellent customer service! Thank you!
Once again, Kenneth and Harley in the print department saved my day. They worked with me till I was happy with the printing and then ran and trimmed the whole job while I waited. They are very calm under pressure and really know their stuff! Thanks guys!
Plenty of office supplies everything that you could possibly need. They have everything from pens and pencils to tape and stencils. They also carry lots of copy paper computers including the laptops as well as all the accessories. They also carry tons of learning materials and everything that you need to go with them. The staff working inside the store very friendly and helpful although the checkout person seemed a little grumpy and unpersonable but thats okay.
Horrible! Rude staff and rude management if you can even find them! Shelves aren’t stocked, takes forever to check out and just they have a small selection and will try to get you to buy it online at their site. I could’ve done that from my phone. Unfortunately businesses in Asheville need a quick fix for office supplies but it’s better to make the trip to office max on tunnel road.
Past several times I have went inside Staples havent been approached or greeted. Checkout sometimes takes forever. Also, Id like to say something to the individuals crying about the paper cutter. Ive been going to this Staples for over three years. NOT ONE TIME WAS THERE EVER A PAPER CUTTER WITHIN 3 YEARS! It wasnt like it was there last year. I imagine due to liability, the company stopped allowing self-serve paper cutters due to the possibility of someone suing.
The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Great selection of products from name brand manufacturers. They do the research to bring a great selection of value minded merchandise to the store. Give them a try, you will be pleased.
Kenneth is an awesome employee. I needed 300 brochures printed and folded within the hour. He was able to accomplish all of that within 30min. Awesome guy deserves some sort of recognition.
Ive given them a couple of chances as they are convenient. First, took some printing to them. They were double what their competitor (read Office Max/ Depot) charged. I asked if they could come down to their competitors price, answer was no. So, I take business elsewhere. Then, they call a week later with good news, they can match their competitors prices. Why now?Tried yesterday for some simple office supplies. Very expensive stuff. Asked help finding stuff from an associate, who kept directing me to the wrong aisle. Just not worth it to go in there.
Asked to use a paper cutter in the copy center and was told that this is now a paid service only. They already took away the Swingline paper cutter that is accurate, and now customers cannot even use the dinky cutter on a track. Guess thats what you get for shopping from a big corporation instead of a local shop!
Ridiculous customer service. Just after I asked for help but decided not to get what they helped me locate and moved on to other things I needed to buy they called two security checks on me with 2 very obvious employees following me throughout the entire store. Just because I know how to look for what I need but struggled with one item doesnt suddenly mean Im trying to run a heist.
Staff did not seem to be overly concerned. Took a digital file to be printed and comb bound. File not printed as I requested. Was told would be ready for pickup that evening, was not ready till the next evening. Told it was do to the back to school crowd. When I went to pick it up had to wait for assistance. Received help when it was noticed I had taken a photo inside the store. Have not had these issue in the past. This had been my go to place for printing and binding.
This store must be under New Management, I used to be properly ignored when going to Staples but now I am greeted within 10 seconds of walking in and I was even asked if I wanted to have my case of paper carried out for me when I checked out. It was a great experience.
Great selection but would like to see prices on clearance items instead if just on shelf since items are always moved around. Need more cashiers at checkout. I had to wait 10 minutes due to only 1 cashier even though there was someone else behind counter. He opened up as the other cashier was finishing
I went in to have some printing done for my business. I asked for help at the print desk, and Sherry handed me a business card with an email address underlined and basically told me to figure it out myself. I had some odd-sized items i wanted help configuring. She told me the best way was to print out 5 copies and then cut them and paste them onto a single sheet and then make copies of that sheet. Really? In 2019 that’s the best advice we’ve got from a company that says they specialize in printing services? This store used to have a paper cutter that you could use in order to cut out your items. It was no longer there. I asked about it, and was told that they offered cutting services or i could use scissors. This is entire experience is unacceptable. Don’t advertise that you are here to help and then not help whenever your customers ask.
The woman at the printing station I think Sherin was rude, she wouldn’t come to the register so we had to wait, charged use $30 for printing 3 simple wedding invites, although yesterday I paid $8 for 5 with other girl. I think she did it because she was annoyed. If I could put 0 stars I would.
We had a great experience working with Laura in the Print & Copy section of Staples. They were very friendly and helpful when printing checks for our business. We will be using them again!
My husband was in Staples on Merrimon Ave November 1st and received horrible customer service by a female employee named Sheri when he asked for help locating printer ink cartridges. He was told by her to go look for it himself and just read the numbers. He asked for assistance again, she went with him to that section and practically threw the ink package at him. She was hateful in speech and attitude. She clearly did not want to provide customer service. We have been shopping there since the store opened and are extremely disappointed in how he was treated today.Update: we were contacted by the store manager and corporate customer service who assured us this would be addressed. Nice to know they cared enough to follow up with us!
Well stocked store. No one available for helping out with finding anything. Not very polite
I love staples so much!! But at this location (Merrimon Ave, Asheville) on a Sunday, October 1st 2017, at around 2 pm, I had the worst experience with customer service I have ever had. In the printing section the woman had no work ethic whatsoever and could care less about mine or anyone elses needs in that store. Before I could even say a word, there was another customer who expressed her concerns and the employee literally gave her a blank look and walked away. Then an elderly man politely asked for help, after patiently waiting for about 30 minutes (clearly needing help that she simply ignored) and she YELLED at him!!! Needless to say, I was the third distraught customer who left Staples on this day.Update: Returned on February 27, 2018 and was met by a young guy by, I think, the name Harley. I almost flinched as he approached (thanks to my previous experience) but needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised!! He was so kind and went above and beyond to help us and others in the store. Thanks to him, my faith in Staples has been restored! Changing my review from 1 to 5 stars. This guy needs a raise!
Laurie in the Print Department saved the day TWICE! First, after a frustrating on-line experience, I arrived at the store cranky and impatient. Despite a line of customers and endless questions by a newly hired associate, Lauries calm and focused demeanor soothed my nerves and Soul. When I arrived the next day at the 11th hour to pick up the banner, an error was noted. She immediately corrected it and sent me on my way with a twinkle in her eye. SHES UNFLAPPABLE!
I enjoy the speed with which I can pop into Staples, get done what I need to get done, and leave. Employees are friendly and helpful.
Horribly rude and clueless blonde haired woman named Nikki in the print and marketing section, other employees are great but she tries to speak for them. Awful experience
Never had a problem and have at least 20 visits/purchases from Staples...It is also convenient to use its website and have the product shipped to the store for your pickup with no freight charged. Most of the complainers I think just dont like big box anything.
Worst print experience of my life. Took me an hour to print a few documents, then I made color copies and they came out with lines on them. Never going here to print again.
They recycle computers and monitors. Awesome. Easy peasy
Stopped in to pick up a computer I bought online. The employees are off in their own world, and dont seem to notice customers coming in. I had to make a conscious effort to get their attention, but they were reasonably helpful after that.
I am from Atlanta and really love shopping at Staples. This Staples is nice but I love the Hendersonville store because they have all there sale items displayed and accessible to reflect the weekly ad. I spend more money because of it.
Excellent service for a very busy day, although some popular items in low supply. This is to be expected, so not complaining.
$10 for a couple of minutes online and just 8 pages of printing?!? Ive been other places and only paid a buck or two for the same service. And in downtown Asheville. Definitely never coming back to Staples for a simple print job that cost me an hours worth of what I earned today! Ridiculous. Should cost 10 or 20 cents per sheet.
I went to print my graduation invitations that I designed myself, the guy I spoke to wanted to charge me $60 to do it there. Went to Office Max and got them printed for $23, and they cut them for me. I feel like either he didnt want to print them, or he was trying to rip me off. Ridiculous.
Staff were exceptionally helpful. Very pleased
Great printing services...express printing for add. 10% of purchase...but worth it!!
Terrible experience multiple times. I bought a printer there that never would link with my device or computer. I had bought a protection plan as well. When I tried to return the printer I was told I had to call the protection plan and it would be up to the plan if my money would get refunded. Another time I went to use their printing services (as I couldn’t get my printer to work). I printed a document from my email, the printer said that it needed paper to be added. I went to tell an employee, and she said, “That’s impossible, I just loaded the tray.” Would not even come over to look and proceeded to help the customer in back of me in the line. I had to go and stand in the back of the line again to get her attention. She finally came over to the printer and found that it was in fact out of paper. She never apologized, nothing. This is all when my credit card is being charged by the minute. I have two other examples of poor customer service if anyone wants more details. I am done with this store. Never shopping there again. Guess I will shop online.
The staff was very helpful pointing right to the network supplies I needed, thanks!
Not enough employees. Waited 15 minutes to get someone to clear a paper jam on a copy machine at self service. The copier had an error that only an employee could fix. So frustrating. When calling to ask a question, I waited 15 minutes. Just really bad business.
Received excellent customer service today by an associate in biz services. This store always has what I need.
Charging for express printing when nothing is printing? Costs more than twice as much as local print shops? Go Henco instead.
Every time I have something printed here, they make a mistake. Most recently, my prints came out wrong because they selected scale to fit after I repeatedly reminded them not to select that option. This job was also printed on paper that I supplied, so I lost the paper and the the prints were useless. All they had to do was press print. I would have printed it myself, but self-service machines wont accept cardstock. Its not that difficult people...
Paul at the Copy & Print center was very helpful and I very much appreciated the time and commitment he gave to me.
Had to come here because my regular place is closed. Terrible service.
Store is very clean. And the employees are very helpful and friendly.
This is not the place to get ANY printing project done. The printing department has always been disorganized, dirty, unprofessional and lacks support or competency. The work I recently sent there for print wasnt completed by the time they said and when I picked it up, it was in poor print quality and the wrong quantity to boot. Use a local printer like PRINTVILLE or HENCO Blueprinting. They both do great work and our work is important to us! Too important to be poorly produced.
OK, so I made a mistake of leaving a zip drive in the copier Monday 11/11/2019, I made my copies and left and today 11/12/2019 I return when I realize I left my zip drive in the copier, the person behind the copier counter said they destroy zip drives left behind, it was a little over 24 hours when i realized the mistake and yes it was my fault to leave it there, but destroying someones personal property is pathetic, good thing i have a backup of the zip drive, but the zip drive itself was a 128 GB, which costs some money, I will never go back to this store again, no regards for peoples personal property.
This store refused to print my article but did not inform me until 9:30 on a Saturday, meaning it was too late to get it printed anywhere else. I needed this for a class and will now be getting a bad grade because I wasnt even given a chance to print it elsewhere because, as I stated, they didnt let me know until almost 10 on a Saturday. I am very disappointed in their service, I was promised in store that they would print my classwork and then all of the sudden thery refused It was very unprofessional and I would give them 0 stars if I could because they really left me in the lurch. Do not go here.
I’ve been a fan of Staples Print Services for years because of their friendly, professional staff and reasonable prices.
Ill use Office Max from now on, they actually provide customer service.
One of the store employees followed me around like I was going to steal the crown jewels of Staples. I felt like I was being stalked. After I purchased a few items, I noticed I was overcharged for an item and had to go back and stand in line. There were many employees in the store, but only one working the register, so it took some time. I will go to office depot next time.
Consistently incompetent customer service. Same day business cards order online, collect later today. Get a call saying they ran out of matt card, hope to get some in this week. Cant borrow from the nearest store, its a policy thing. Tired of spending 30+ minutes waiting fir the reply email so i can print my stuff, customer does all the work for them and they all seem fed up working there. Really, they are so close to my work i would love them to be even useable but life is too short. They need a new manager, this is way beyond bad staff.
We paid extra for a lamination to be done in one hour. One hour later they said they would do it tomorrow and did not refund any money. We went back today to pick up or laminations and it was done poorly with many wrinkles... Still no refund. We also tried to ship an airsoft gun. They told us that we would have to wrap it in bubble wrap to ship. We bought a roll of their bubble wrap and wrapped the gun before they told us that we could not ship airsoft guns (broken, shipped for repair) because they were considered firearms. They did not tell us this until AFTER we tools then we were shopping this airsoft gun and pasted for the bubble wrap... Still no refund. Poor work ethic and terrible customer service.
Conned into getting a Staples credit card with a promise of $50.00 immediate credit on my first statement. Employee didnt know what he was talking about. All kinds of requirements needed to get this $50.00.DONT GET THE CARD! Unless you want hassles, confusion and stupidity when you try to correct it. Also the website cant seem to take passwords and remember them.I will never shop at Staples again because of this experience.Robin KorthAsheville, NC
The guy in the copy center would not give me the time of day to help me set up a PDF to print. Spent more time on the phone than I needed help with told me he could do it tomarow and heDid not seem very busy at all screw this location and will not be back. Your FIRED
I was told the copy center is not compatible with Macintosh products... Which is absurd and probably not real. The new copiers wouldnt print from my Staples bought usb drive and the person working the copy center told me that absurd line about Macintosh. She proceeded to print the files in the back on the wrong paper... Which she then threw away and then reprinted them on the cheapest paper that i requested. Then she charged me for the expensive paper... It took over 30 minutes to print 8 peices of paper and pay. I was the only costomer in the copy center at the time. This is the worst place in Asheville to get copys made.
Adequate stock in service but getting in and out of the place is a bit tricky off the road. The parking is in back and it seems to have sufficient parking.
Hard to evaluate a chain,I just went in for ink, paid and left. Was what I expected.
Very bad customer service.
Great place to get a burrito
Not as good as Office Depot.
An extremely convenient location tainted by corporate guilt and constant understaffing.
Completely clueless staff and empty shelves. Didnt even have a simple usb-a to usb-c cord.
Staples matched price with online merchant. Saved $20. Thank you.
3 out of 4 copiers are off line. Parking is horrible.
Their Print and Copy Center peeps HATE their jobs and HATE their customers, too! You get the feeling you are a total imposition to their day :- )!
They had what we were looking for plus a coupon!
Had what I needed and some things were on sale!
Every thing you would expect from a Staples and smiling faces
Good shop.
They had the two sale items we were looking for
Good customer service
The website ays they open at 7 but they tell you at the store its 8
